Karan Kkundra and Anusha Dandekar’s breakup disappointed their fans as they wanted to see the two who gave others hope through their show, Love School, end up together but who knew that the future didn’t hold this for them. Just yesterday, Karan told in his interview with Times Of India that he hasn’t moved on even if she has. While Anusha has found love in Jason Shah, Karan admits it is not easy for him to enter another relationship.
    View this post on Instagram
“I am single. I don’t think I have recovered yet. My family, childhood best friends, and friends in the city have tried their best to set me up with someone, but it’s hard to get into a relationship at the moment. Had it been 10 years ago, I would have immediately entered another relationship, but you mature with time. I am glad that I am back to being close to my family,” the actor told The Times Of India.
Anusha had accused Karan of cheating on her. When questioned about the same, the Dil Hi Toh Hai actor said in the same interview, “I have remained silent out of respect for the relationship and I would like to keep it that way” adding “I have learnt a lot from Anusha, and I have a lot of respect for her and her family. How is it that these allegations are being levelled against me when there is a development on my professional front? Why hasn’t any other person, who I have been in a relationship with, ever accused me of something as serious as this?”
Karan’s statements have come after Anusha’s Ask Me Anything session on Instagram during which she opened up on experiencing heartbreak. When a fan questioned her about how she dealt with her breakup with Karan Kundrra, the MTV VJ wrote, “You know I wasn’t torn from inside, I was more shocked and disappointed in what I had accepted all these years when I stepped away and saw the reality of what was going on…how much self-love and self-respect I had allowed myself to lose… I really broke my own heart…if that makes sense.”
After his interview started to get traction, Anusha also didn’t hold back and chose to take a dig at him with cryptic posts she posted in the morning. She said she was sad that people “believe their own lies and the stories they make up in their heads.”
“People, who are mad at you for speaking the truth are those people, who are living a lie. Keep speaking the truth,” read another note. Anusha captioned these notes, writing, “I woke up like this… and I may not be a lot of things but the one thing I am is honest! Happy happy Sunday #tellyourtruth.”

We hope it doesn’t get murkier anymore after this.

Sitting at the fifth spot in the points table of the Indian Premier League 2021, the Rajasthan Royals have a lot of expectations from their middle-order batsman Riyan Parag, who has had two very different matches from each other early this season.
The 19-year old sure knows how to pack a punch on the field, however, it is his off-field theatrics that have caught the attention of the fans, especially during a fun activity he was involved in with teammate Shreyas Gopal which was recorded and recently published by the official Twitter handle of the franchise.
    10/10 for Riyan & Shreyas’ guessing skills…#HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | @ParagRiyan | @ShreyasGopal19 pic.twitter.com/qNbxNRPgHc

In the video, the RR duo could be seen playing a game of ‘Heads Up’ in which one person places a placard with a phrase written on it and the other person has to act out that phrase without saying anything.
The two stars struggled a bit while warming up and getting themselves familiarised with the rules of the game, but once the streak of answers started to build, both of them were on a roll.
Having said that, the biggest highlight from the video came when Parag has to enact former Indian opener and legendary batsman Virender Sehwag, and the teenager decided to copy Viru’s batting ritual and the kind of expressions he made while on strike.

Parag started the role first by rolling his shoulders in the batting position, then he lifted his imaginary bat over his right shoulder, squinting his eyes to check out the oppositions’ fielding spots, and it was finally when he attempted Sehwag’s iconic cover drive that Gopal instantly yelled out Sehwag’s name for a point.
Completely amused by the attention to detail paid by the young cricketer towards someone he clearly adores, Virender Sehwag’s fans reacted to his acting:
Riyan Parag felt like @virendersehwag more than sehwag himself does
    — Aniket 48 //rajasthanroyalsfan (@AUkardepatil) April 18, 2021Sehwag's mimicry was awesome🤣🤣
    — Ridam Lakhotia (@LakhotiaRidam) April 18, 2021Sehwag and Mankading
    — khushanshu (@no1khush) April 18, 2021Super over and shewag
    — Loyal (@Royal_Loyal_3) April 18, 2021Hahah that veeru and sidhu's part🤣
    — nikhil (@teawithnikhil) April 18, 2021Another hilarious moment came towards the end of the video when Parag had to act out ‘Mankading’ and he instantly knew that by reminding Gopal of Indian Test veteran Ravichandran Ashwin, he will be able to help him understand. So he copied Ashwin’s bowling style and ripped the bails off the wickets at the non-strikers’ end and immediately got the point.

Thanks to the massive population of India, every movie-production house in the world tries to include our 'cultures' in their films in order to make us relate to them and watch them again and again.
One of the biggest examples of this phenomenon is Marvel Studios, which is responsible for creating some of the most engaging and entertaining movies in the 21st century under the umbrella that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is.
Also Read: 5 Indian References Made In The MCU
Having said that, there are multiple racial stereotypes and cliches Hollywood movies and sitcoms continue to show onscreen that are unacceptable. Here are four of them:
    1. Always With The Slums
Yes, India has one of Asia’s biggest slums in Dharavi, Mumbai but that does not mean that all of us live in them.
In 2012, when The Avengers first introduced Bruce Banner in the MCU, his location was disclosed to Natasha Romanoff as the slums of Kolkata and it drew a lot of criticism by the Indian film industry and rightly so.
“Kolkata has a rich culture and heritage, and a filmmaker should respect that. There are two scenes about India, and they only show slums," actor Rituparna Sengupta told Hindustan Times. "It could have been done in better taste."
    2. Why The Yellow Filter?
This problem is a lot bigger than India. Most of the Asian countries including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have undergone the ‘yellow filter’ effect in numerous Hollywood films. The latest and most prominent of such films is Netflix’s Extraction.
While the scenes that were shot in Australia seem to be the normal shade, the rest of the film which was supposed to be in Bangladesh (but was shot in multiple Asian countries) came with an oversaturated yellow tone.

This yellow filter is used to depict warm and tropical climate but it also makes the surroundings look uglier and unhealthy. According to Matador Network, this filter is used by American films to depict countries that are stereotyped as impoverished, polluted, or war zones (or all three).
    3. Indian Guys With The Unbelievable Cringey Accent

A milestone in the 'funny Indian accent' stereotype can be traced back to February 25, 1990, when The Simpsons introduced an orange-coloured Apu with the nastiest accent, in their otherwise all-yellow skinned people universe.
What’s worse is that it was a white guy, Hank Azaria, who did the voiceover for the supposedly Indian character. It took over 30 years and a freaking documentary by comedian Hari Kondabolu named The Problem With Apu to finally get over this issue in 2020 when Azaria “willingly” stepped down as Apu’s voice artist.
“Once I realized that that was the way this character was thought of, I just didn’t want to participate in it anymore.”

Hank Azaria says that he will no longer play the "Simpsons" character of Apu, which has been criticized as a demeaning stereotype. https://t.co/mgR0Mwf9L4
    — The New York Times (@nytimes) February 25, 2020
Kunal Nayyar’s character in The Big Bang Theory, Rajesh Koothrappali was another case of a walking house of stereotypes. An Indian guy who can’t talk to women because he is too nervous and needs alcohol to open his mouth, who comes from a house of arranged-marriage believers and whose parents house, albeit seen through the Raj’s computer screen, is full of mandalas in the background.
    4. The Comic Relief:
Over the decades, the way someone from a certain country speaks or looks, has clearly had a lot to do with their character portrayal in Hollywood films.
A Frenchman’s accent is considered sexy, Africans are seen as the mighty and powerful, Russians are always the rude and tough bad guys, and the moment an Indian guy says “hello”, people are falling on the floor, laughing their asses off.
While Apu and Raj Koothrappali have been in use for years, one of the biggest additions to this category came in 2016 with Rayn Reynolds’ Deadpool introducing us to Dopinder who, surprise surprise, is a frustrated, insecure cab drive with an incredibly thick accent.

Sure, the English film industry over the years, has become a lot more inclusive and racially sensitive than the time when Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom came out in which our kings were seen eating snakes stuffed with smaller snakes, drinking a cup of eyeball soup and relishing frozen monkey brains for dessert.

Having said that, soft and 'accidental' racism continues to find its way to the silver screen from time to time and directors and producers cheekily try to pass it by as 'normal' while giving further weightage to the pre-existing stereotypes against India and that’s unacceptable.

Kangana Ranaut’s tweets always give daily fodder to the public who have been waiting to put her under the scanner. She shared a thought of the day but it backfired at her. She wrote, “Who isn’t loyal to parents will never be loyal to the nation or to love, disloyalty becomes an inbuilt trait and starts to feed on our confidence like termites. Loyalty isn’t something others need, it is the fuel of our own integrity, most important to live well #thoughtoftheday.”

People slammed her for this tweet as well as they were reminded of her not-so-old tweets about her father. She had written that her father owned a licensed rifle and guns and that her 'ribs trembled' when he'd scold her, as it was like he 'roared.' However, despite his aggressive nature, Kangana fought with him at the age of 15 and left home, becoming the 'first Baaghi Rajput woman at 15'. She added that her father wanted to make her the 'best doctor in the world and thought he was being a 'revolutionary papa' by giving her education in the best institutions. However, Kangana was not keen on it and revealed that he once tried to slap her when she refused to go to school. She shared that she famously told him 'if you slap me I will slap you back'.
My papa he wanted to make me the best doctor in the world, he thought he was being a revolutionary papa by giving me education in best institutions, when I refused to go to school he tried to slap me I held his hand and famously told him “ if you slap me I will slap you back” pic.twitter.com/5nU6x6iQtL

People weren’t quite convinced with her piece of advice and gave it back to her by sharing screenshots of her own tweets and even went on to ask if she was high when she tweeted about her own father.
Oh behanji, nobody has forgotten your tweet where you said, if your father slaps you, you will slap back. And now you talk about being loyal to parents. Which weed do you smoke?

    — @Opinion (@Opinion1999) April 18, 2021We wonder how Kangana would react to this.
Meanwhile, Kangana has completed her ambitious biopic, Thalaivi. Based on the life of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, the film was slated for a theatrical release this month. However, it had to be postponed in wake of the recent surge in coronavirus cases. She also has two action films - Tejas and Dhaakad in the pipeline.
