Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty’s love story is no more a secret. The two are in a relationship and have been dating for more than a year now and their Instagram posts for each other also reveals a lot of their love story. Reportedly, the two met through common friends and hit it off really well. In the earlier months of their relationship, the lovebirds remained tight-lipped about their budding romance but on Athiya's birthday in 2019, Rahul made it Insta official. The two have been posting about each other on occasions and have been dropping hints about their relationship. 

KL Rahul is celebrating his 29th birthday today. On this occasion, his girlfriend Athiya Shetty shared a goofy post to wish him. The actress shared two photos on the cricketer’s birthday and expressed how grateful she is to have him.

Suniel Shetty, Athiya’s father, was one of the first ones to drop a comment on the post. He wrote, “Truly..”

In an interview with ET Times, the actor, who's ageing like wine, was asked about the people his children Ahan and Athiya are dating. On this, Suniel said, “I love Ahan's girlfriend and I love whom Athiya is seeing. I do not have a problem with that, Mana (Suniel Shetty's wife) doesn't have a problem with that and they are happy.” 

“We love the kids and the kids they are dating. Absolutely love them and I think more than a profession, being happy in life is very important today because that is the space I think that is missing," added the Hera Pheri star.

We are wondering when the two will be getting married as Athiya’s family has already given a nod to the two dating each other.
