    Apart from being an immensely talented actor, Mahesh Babu is a legit style icon for many people in this country. Being the hugely successful star that he is, he has often given us some astounding style statements, time and time again.

    Another watchmaker that is hardly seen on Indian celebrities, is Brequet. They are known all over the world for making some classic dress watches, with some really impressive complications.     Vacheron Constantin is one of the oldest watchmakers who are still exclusively in the business of making watches. Heck, they are one of the oldest watchmakers around. Their designs tend to be very neat, and precise, with complications implemented very neatly and discretely. The silver-coloured Overseas, is one of their most affordable pieces.

    Another Vacheron that Mahesh Babu has is the 1968 Historiques Ultrafine. This is as classic as a watch can get. Apparently, President Donald Trump too has one and is a fan of the watchmakers. The watch has a golden case and has a very fine calibre, that is housed in a proper square-shaped case.

    This may come as a surprise for many, but apparently, Mahesh Babu has quite a good collection of G-Shocks. He can be seen wearing some or the other watch from the Japanese watchmakers in his films, interviews and other public appearances. The G441 is one of the most repeated watches from his collection.

    Speaking of his outfit, we like Ishaan's Under Armour navy blue hoodie. He teamed it with subtle, blue tone joggers. The colours are blending nicely here and the outfit seems apt for his lean frame. As for his accessories, he seems to be following his elder brother's path of turning the face shield into an accessory. That, with a white baseball cap, looks dope.

    In all, Ishaan has proved his mettle in the fashion department as well and we can't wait to see more such looks and sneakers, of course. Way to go.

    The Covid-19 second wave is continuing to batter the Indian shores and destroying everything in its path. 

    Be it the already overwhelmed health care facilities across the country or the regenerated optimism of millions of people, the pandemic is doing all it can to take us back to the dark times of the year of the outbreak, that is 2020.

    With India registering more than 2 lakh cases for the second day running to take the entire caseload to 1.42 crores, the impact of 2020 2.0 is coming out to be even deadlier than that of last year. 

    The sudden increase in Coronavirus cases has led to a desperate need for hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, and other medical facilities, which are seen to become scarce in the future if things do not slow down. 
    One of the important medications that are in high demand is the Remdesivir injections, which are provided to people suffering from severe cases of infection.

    The government and other authorities have continued to reiterate the need to exercise caution from using the injections as they are not considered to be proven treatment against Coronavirus infections. 

    There have even been prohibitions regarding the use of the injections for people suffering from mild to moderate Covid-19 symptoms.
    "Remdesivir is to be used only in those who require hospitalization and are on oxygen support. There is no question of its use in the home setting and for mild cases," said NITI Aayog member VK Paul in a statement.
    However, despite the warnings and the acute shortage of the drug, the injections are being black marketed throughout the country. 
    Parties including several medical shop owners and other people have been arrested for black marketing Remdesivir injections to patients across the country. 
    Kanpur: Acting on a tip-off of Military Intelligence Unit, police arrested three people with Remdesivir injections in Babu Purwa area yesterday.

    In some parts of the country, the injections are also being sold at astronomical prices. 

    In what is seen as desperation among the relatives and family members of patients, many even staged a sit-in protest outside Collector's office in India's western Pune city to demand the anti-viral drug.

    Much of the Covid-19 pandemic has been spent within the confines of our homes and with most people resorting to watching content on Netflix or other OTT platforms, there are countless documentaries that invariably have their connections to the adverse impacts of Global Warming.

    Our planet is slowly (No. Scratch that!), fastly exhausting its resources and in decades to come, we, our children or the children of our children, will have luxuries of nature that we continue to overlook today. 

    Now, in a bid to put up a fight against this, American tech giant Apple on Thursday (April 15) announced a $200 million fund to invest in timber-producing commercial forestry projects.
    The decision of the Restore Fund, which has been launched in partnership with Conservation International and Goldman Sachs, is aimed at achieving the aim of eradicating carbon from the atmosphere while also generating profit.

    Lisa Jackson, Apple vice president of environment, policy, and social initiatives, in a statement, said,

    “Nature provides some of the best tools to remove carbon from the atmosphere. Forests, wetlands, and grasslands draw carbon from the atmosphere and store it away permanently in their soils, roots, and branches,” 
    “Through creating a fund that generates both a financial return as well as real, and measurable carbon impacts, we aim to drive broader change in the future — encouraging investment in carbon removal around the globe. 
    "Our hope is that others share our goals and contribute their resources to support and protect critical ecosystems.” 
    The effort is reported to a part of the California-headquartered Apple’s broader goal to become carbon neutral across its entire value chain by the end of the current decade. 
    At a time when Apple looks to directly eliminate 75 percent of emissions for its supply chain and products by 2030, the forest fund will also help in addressing the remaining 25 percent of the company's emissions by removing carbon from the atmosphere. 
    Now, while for Apple and the world, it certainly looks to be a step in the right direction, however, social media users could not resist but take a dig at the company.

    It was in 2019 when Deepika Padukone announced her new project as a producer, a retelling of Mahabharata from the point of view of Draupadi. The 33-year-old actor also confirmed that she will play Draupadi in the movie, which she is co-producing with Madhu Mantena on a grand scale.
    In an interview with Mid-Day, she said, “that she is excited to bring the grand epic to life on the big screen with a new perspective. “We all know the Mahabharat for its mythological tales and socio-cultural influence. We derive many of life’s lessons from the epic. But the narrative we are most familiar with is that of the epic’s leading men. This new perspective will be not only interesting but also significant.” The film will be a multi-part franchise and the first part will release on Diwali 2021.
    Now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Deepika Padukone wanted Sanjay Leela Bhansali to direct her project but he refused to be a part of it. A source told, “Deepika and SLB formed a powerful combo, with three super hits, Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat. Of course, the two bonded very well and for Deepika, Bhansali was like a mentor. When she announced the ambitious epic, Draupadi, it didn't have a director on board. Since the script followed a template from Indian history and mythology, Deepika felt, her close friend, Sanjay Leela Bhansali would be the best to direct. However, she was shocked when Bhansali politely refused the offer as he preferred on making his dream projects like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Baiju Bawra.”

    This didn’t go down well with Deepika and it led to a cold war between the two. Deepika was offered a special song in Gangubai Kathiawadi, which she refused to be a part of. She was also offered a part in Heera Mandi, a web series by Bhansali, and she again couldn't take it up.
    The source added, “But it's all temporary. The two are thorough professionals, and when SLB approaches DP with another script, she will definitely come on board if she likes what is written. Right now, both are busy with their own work, which has probably resulted in cut off from conversations. But another collaboration will happen and this cold war will end. You never know, they might just come together on Baiju Bawra once Gangubai Kathiawadi is out of SLB's system."

    Jewellery billionaire Nirav Modi, who fled away to the UK after being accused in the Punjab National Bank money laundering and fraud of Rs 14,000 crore, is finally returning home. The CBI has confirmed that the UK court has finally approved his extradition and he is now one step away from returning back to India. As soon as the news broke, people on Twitter started a virtual celebration for his return.

I find no genuine transactions and believe there is a process of dishonesty. Many of these are a matter for trial in India. I am satisfied again that there is evidence he could be convicted. Prima facie there is a case of money laundering,” the judge said. After multiple hearings, the court has now finally approved extradition and all inhibitions regarding his safety have been shed down. “Modi fears prosecution in India. Although he has expressed suicidal thoughts, the government of India has reassured safe conditions in prison, through a video in August. The video shows better sanitation and hygiene than the video in 2019," said the judge. Don’t know about the ‘acche din’ but there’s hope that Nirav Modi might come back.

Karan Johar and his production house Dharma Productions are facing the ire of the general public yet again. The catalyst this time is actor Kartik Aryan who has been signing some wonderful projects on his name lately. Everyone is aware that he was a part of Dostana 2, which had his fans waiting in excitement. Now the latest buzz is that the production house has dropped the actor from the movie and he has been reportedly replaced by another actor. The shooting for the movie began in 2019 which had Jahnvi Kapoor, Kartik and Akshay Lalwani in the leads. As per reports, there was a creative difference between the actor and Dharma, and after 20 days of shooting had already been completed, Kartik was dropped. However, his fans are pouring support for the actor and the nepotism debate is back on.
