Ever wondered what makes a supervillain click with the audience? It has got something to do with style.
    © Warner Bros. Pictures
You have your Clark Kents and your Bruce Waynes who not only have locked down the formula to be great superheroes, but also great fashion icons. But is a superhero really a superhero if they don’t have a worthy adversary?
    © Warner Bros. Pictures
As gory and grotesque as some supervillains like Darkseid & Doomsday might be, we also have some who are extremely stylish, in their own unique way. These guys, literally are, the masters of all things evil, as well as masters of impeccable style.
    © Warner Bros. Pictures
We list out 7 Supervillains from the DC Universe, who had an immaculate sense of style.

    1. Joker © Warner Bros. Pictures
No matter which iteration of the Joker you pick, that dude has some serious style chops. His impeccable suits and hairstyle might get lost in the chaos that his personality is, but they contribute significantly to the character. We of course love the version that was played by Heath Ledger. That Joker knew how to get a suit tailored properly. If this was a ranked list, he would definitely take the number one spot.

    2. Bane © Warner Bros. Pictures
As opposed to Joker, the cinematic Bane, was all about function. With that being said, the man knew how to dress with effect. The fur-lined leather jacket that he picked, for example, added a lot to his character. Of course, his bulky shape, and his headgear also added a different dimension to the technical-looking cargo pants, and tactical vests he was wearing.

    3. Ra’s Al Ghul © Warner Bros. Pictures
Whether you speak of the animated Ra’s Al Ghul, or the one that we saw in Nolan’s trilogy, Ra’s Al Ghul is a seriously stylish man. He is a proper old school villain. We genuinely feel that Liam Neeson would make a great Bond Villain. Ra’s Al Ghul oozes charm and class, especially with the manner in which he suits up. His monochrome outfits is yet another aspect that makes him super stylish.

    4. General Zod © DC Comics
Although we have seen just one version of General Zod in DC Films, if we go by the comics, General Zod had a really dapper sense of style. He really knew how to dress up to exude power. Even in Man Of Steel, his outfit as that of a villain was spot on, and perhaps one of the best things we have seen.

    5. Sinestro © DC Comics
As far costumes are concerned, we did not see much from Sinestro. However, the supervillain had a very strong grooming game. In some of the comic books, he had a really dope looking handlebar moustache that was just awesome.

    6. The Riddler © DC Comics
Barring Jim Carrey’s version of The Riddler, where he was dressed in a very campy green overalls, The Riddler is a very fashionable supervillain. He too dresses up like a classic Bond villain. And man, his accessories in the comics, such as the walking stick, the belt, the gloves and the hat - they were immaculate. It will be really interesting to see the next version of The Riddler, in the upcoming Batman film.

    7. Lex Luthor © Warner Bros. Pictures
Finally, we have Lex Luthor. Jesse Eisenberg does a fine job as a maniacal and slightly unhinged Lex Luthor. His sense of style too is quite awesome, and he has given us some really cool looking power-suiting options. However, we feel that the traditional Luthors that we see in the comics, who’re often dressed in Mandarin collared shirts & blazers is on a different level altogether, Jon Cryer who plays Lex Luthor in Supergirl also does a fantastic job when it comes to style.

    The Bottomline...
We can safely say that a lot of the charm of a supervillain, be it Joker, or Lex Luthor, comes down to how they are presented. And their costumes and getup, play a very crucial role in how they’re received. We can also safely say that these guys, on this list, easily decimate our superheroes, at least in terms of style and fashion.
Think we missed someone out? Do let us know in the comments below who else would you have added to this list.

Every year, players from all over the world fly over to India to become a part of the lucrative Indian Premier League (https://www.mensxp.com/topic/ipl.html) and compete in the two-month-long tournament for the championship.
However, over time, the IPL has evolved from being just another cricketing league and into something much bigger. It has become an event in which different people from different social groups come together and share each other's cultures and get to know their international competitors more closely as friends and human beings.
On a sillier note, this homogeneity of cultures also allows animated characters like Steve Smith to let loose and reach out to their inner ‘Dilli baaraati’ who will dance to any tune like there is no tomorrow.
    View this post on Instagram
Smith’s moves brought out some hilarious reactions from his overseas fans:

Wait ‘til you see Ashwin! There should be an IPL dance-off which rapidly comes to mean more to the players than the cricket!

This is so authentic Delhi dad wedding dance

@MurkelGav10 @jabbbbbbbbbbb @Dan_Mose Steve now father of Bollywood too
    — Ramz (@_Ramz10) April 13, 2021
Smith is also known to play some… ‘unorthodox’ shots when he gets completely engaged in a match, which in themselves look like brilliantly choreographed moves our Bollywood songs could use.

“It depends on who’s bowling, how is the wicket playing, how I [am going to] score and stuff like that or how people are trying to get me out, probably that determines how open I am or otherwise how closed I am. But my general stance where my back foot is going to almost off stump, or may be even outside at stages, I know that anything outside my eyeline isn’t hitting the stumps,” Smith had said back in April 2020 when asked about his unusual batting stance.
Some of the other international players in the Delhi Capitals squad tried their hand at ‘desi’ dance moves during a photoshoot for the franchise.
    View this post on Instagram
But when it came to showing “how it is done”, the centre stage belonged to none other than Shikhar Dhawan, who is the ideal candidate for bataati dancers at your wedding.

The Coronavirus pandemic has completely changed the way we used to lead our lives, with things like social distancing becoming one of the most important norms of modern society to curb the spread of the highly contagious virus.

Unlike before the outbreak of the pandemic when people had the luxury of attending social events or going to a friend's house to catch up in person, today, the same people have been forced to interact with most using video calls or through other means.
    © Pinterest
The same has been replicated in the work environment, with most offices enabling their employees to work from home, with Zoom-call meetings becoming the new thing.

However, while interactions through video calls have clearly removed certain barriers be it in one's work or personal life, many incidents in the recent past have suggested the need for being careful while using such technology.
One such glorious example of this has been that of a Canadian lawmaker, William Amos, who was left red-faced when he mistakenly appeared naked in a virtual meeting of the House of Commons.
    © Facebook/William Amos
The 46-year-old, who has represented the Quebec district of Pontiac since 2015, was left covering his private parts with his mobile phone when his laptop camera turned on during the virtual session.

Following the incident, Amos took to Twitter to issue an apology to the public.
"I made a really unfortunate mistake today & obviously I'm embarrassed by it."
"My camera was accidentally left on as I changed into work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to all my colleagues in the House. It was an honest mistake + it won't happen again." said Amos.
I made a really unfortunate mistake today & obviously I’m embarrassed by it. My camera was accidentally left on as I changed into work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to all my colleagues in the House. It was an honest mistake + it won’t happen again.
    — Will Amos (@WillAAmos) April 14, 2021 Amos' Tweet garnered the reactions of a lot of social media users on the microblogging website.
When we expected transparency from your government, this wasn’t what we meant.
    — Matt Ess (@cdnpoliticojnky) April 14, 2021Don't worry about it. It gave us something else to think about other than viruses and vaccines and doom scrolling. Too bad it was at your expense. :)
    — Sophie-Anne B. (@SophieAnneB) April 14, 2021Really it’s an honest mistake. I hope people will be mature enough to move past this, and focus on what really matters.
    — Melissa (@MelissaLMRogers) April 15, 2021I wish the same thing to happen with Trudeau...
    — Carole Tahan (@ctahan) April 15, 2021I’m sorry for all the people who are sharing your image online. I don’t think that’s right.
    — Jasmine Louras (@JasmineLouras) April 14, 2021Don’t stress about it. Everyone who doesn’t have to be physically present at work is constantly in some state of undressed at home rn. 1 week and everyone will have forgotten.
    — DRC (@drcotm) April 14, 2021I did a similar thing a few years back.. after rugby practice I got home and threw off my rugby gear and walked to the shower with phone in hand. Didn’t know it was live streaming to Facebook! A fond memory and a good laugh now.
    — Zach Fitch (@Zachfitch678) April 15, 2021No worries. You're in decent shape and we're all naked under our clothes.
I once bent over to shoo a dog out of the room on a video call. T-shirt was shorter than I had thought. Participants caught a bit of my backside. It happens.🤝

    — Pamela Keetch (@keetchey) April 15, 2021While Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who leads Amos' Liberal party, is yet to share his views on the incident, opposition party whip Claude DeBellefeuille reiterated the need for lawmakers to cover themselves at all times in a rather tongue in cheek comment.

"It may be necessary to remind the members, especially the male ones, that a tie and jacket are obligatory, but so are a shirt, boxer shorts or pants,"
"We have seen that the member is in great physical shape, but I think members should be reminded to be careful and control the camera well," DeBellefeuille said in French, according to the Canadian Press.

Google Earth has partnered with NASA, the U.S. Geological Survey, the EU’s Copernicus Climate Change Service, and Carnegie Mellon University’s CREATE Lab to show time-lapse images of Earth’s Surface. Over 24 million images of the planet’s surface taken over 37 years show how climate change has affected the earth’s surface.

“We can objectively see global warming with our own eyes,” said Rebecca Moore, director of Google Earth. "We hope that this can ground everyone in an objective, common understanding of what's actually happening on the planet, and inspire action."

The feature is now available for everyone to view where one needs to launch Google Earth and click on the Voyager tab. You can then look at places of interest or check out curated tours that show forest change, urban growth, warming temperatures, and receding lakes. If you want to see a brief example, check out the video below:

Here’s another example of a time-lapse that shows the changing shores of Cape Cod:

The company aims to have these time-lapse videos used by teachers, nonprofits, policymaker and others to show how the geography of Earth has been changing by climate change. While Google has released time-lapse images in the past, this is time the first time it is offering a 3D time-lapse of the Earth’s geological changes.

If you’ve ever wanted to see a visual representation of how humans have been destroying the Earth’s environment, have a look at Google’s time-lapse as it will leave you shocked. All-time Indian batting great and the captain of the India Legends squad during the recently concluded Road Safety World Series, Sachin Tendulkar had announced to his fans that he was tested positive with the coronavirus back on March 27, 2021.
Subsequently, the cricketer was admitted to the hospital “as a matter of abundant precaution” for a period of six days, at the end of which he was discharged and was free to return home.
Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone.

Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup 🇮🇳 win.
    — Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) April 2, 2021
Upon coming back to his house, the ‘master blaster’ expressed hi thanks to the fans’ wishes and the kind of hospitality shown to him by the medical staff but also said that he will maintain a quarantining period until he recovers completely.
"I would like to thank everyone for all the good wishes and prayers," he said. "I remain ever grateful to all the medical staff who took such good care of me and have been working tirelessly for over a year in such difficult circumstances."

    — Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) April 8, 2021
However, it seems as if Tendulkar’s method of taking “abundant precaution” did not sound like a very good idea to Maharashtra minister Aslam Shaikh who preferred the cricketer would have sought treatment at his home itself, rather than booking a hospital bed.
“Celebrities who are asymptomatic should take treatment at home, not occupy beds in the hospital. Some celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Sachin Tendulkar did not need to get admitted to the hospital,” Shaikh was quoted as saying by ANI.

“Beds should be left for the needy,” the state textiles minister added.

Some of the other members from Tendulkar’s squad during the Road Safety tournament including Yusuf Pathan, Subramaniam Badrinath, and Irfan Pathan also tested positive after returning from the event.

Late actor Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan could not hold back his tears after he collected an award on behalf of his father. His video started to go viral and many journalists went on to say that he was high. Babil took to Instagram Stories and gave it back to such haters who thought he was high as he cried and also because of the shape of his eyes.
He had written, “Just wanted to share with you all that I attended the Filmfare awards yesterday and 7 journalists asked me if I was high just because of the shape of my eyes. well done guys. great inquisitive research that you have conducted because I have been pure natural since I left university. really good job. you made me feel so nice by telling me that my natural face looked like I was high. thank you so much for that. I will use that look and make millions in Bollywood."

Researchers at the University of Washington are working with Apple to study whether the Apple Watch may be able to detect and predict illnesses such as coronavirus and flu. The study is a part of Apple’s health partnership with the University of Washington and the Seattle Flu Study. If the study program is accepted, participants of the study will be provided with an Apple Watch to see if it can be done.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
"The goal of the study is to see if the information collected by the Apple Watch and iPhone can detect early signs of respiratory illnesses like COVID-19," say the organisers on the recruitment page.

"Researchers from the Seattle Flu Study and the University of Washington are teaming up with Apple to understand how everyday devices, like an Apple Watch or iPhone, can be used to predict illnesses like COVID-19," the Seattle Flu Study states.
The study will be focused on Seattle because the residents "may have higher than normal risk of respiratory illness because of frequent exposure to other people through work or other activities, health conditions, or other factors."

This particular Respiratory Study will take “up to six months” to conclude where during the study participants will be required to answer questions periodically in the Apple Research iPhone app. If the participants fall sick while enrolled in the study, they will be sent a home testing kit for COVID-19 and other respiratory-related illnesses. Participants will then be asked to "take some additional health measurements using your Apple Watch.”

The Apple Watch has become an essential health tracking device where the wearable has been credited in the past for saving countless lives. The new Apple Watch Series 6 also comes with a SpO2 tracker that measures the blood oxygen levels of users.  In the past, the Apple Watch has been able to detect heart diseases as well.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently revealed their annual list of grades in which the members of the Indian cricket team are allotted and get paid accordingly. There are four basic categories and associated money attached to them:
ALERT: BCCI announces annual player retainership 2020-21 - #TeamIndia (Senior Men) for the period from October 2020 to September 2021.

    Payment structure:
    Grade A+ : INR 7 Cr
    Grade A : INR 5 Cr
    Grade B : INR 3 Cr
    Grade C : INR 1 Crhttps://t.co/WgtmO7pIOv pic.twitter.com/ycnPcXPYJu
    — BCCI (@BCCI) April 15, 2021
    A+ Category: Rs. 7 Crore

    A Category: Rs. 5 Crore
    B Category: Rs. 3 Crore
    C Category: Rs. 1 Crore
Players are put in their respective categories based on their performances in the past year and how much value did they add to the Men in Blue’s winning ways with their efforts on the field.
However, upon looking at some of the names being allotted too high or too low in the categories, the fans of the Men in Blue weren’t too happy with the final decision taken by the Indian cricket board.
Here is the rise and fall of 5 Indian cricketers’ salaries this year that has confused and angered the fans:
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Demoted From A Category To B Category): View this post on Instagram
Troubled with a severe injury that he picked during the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League, Kumar was expected to make his return to competitive cricket no sooner than IPL 2021. However, the pacer not only recovered faster than expected but also made quite the impact during India’s home series against England. Nonetheless, his contract was reduced from A category (Rs. 5 Crore) to B category (Rs. 3 Crore) from 2020 to 2021, respectively.
This is really pathetic...I mean, placing such a fantastic player like Bhuvi amongst players like umesh isn't just done..Bhuvi made a great comeback in int'l cricket. Also he can bowl in all 3 formats but at the contrast Ishant recieved grade b contract being only test player
    — Tarini Prasad Beura (@I_m_Tarini) April 15, 2021@BCCI Bhuvi in B grade..
    Absurd..
    Are u guys serious?

Despite not being able to perform consistently in the longest format of the game, and being replaced by Rishabh Pant as the main wicket-keeper for the squad across red and white ball cricket, Wriddhiman Saha’s position in the B Category remains intact and will allow him a massive Rs. 3 Crore paycheque for this year.
Saha and mayank should be in C grade...shreyas iyer and washington sundar should be in B grade
    — Rajdeep Deshmukh (@rajdeepd9) April 15, 2021Not an hater, but what is Saha doing in any of these lists???? Don’t even remember his contribution in any format
    — Nikhil (@RightAbveYou) April 16, 2021Like seriously saha in b🤣
    — Iamsanskruti (@iamsanskruti) April 15, 2021Yuzvendra Chahal (Demoted From B Category To C Category): View this post on Instagram
Regardless of the fact that Yuzvendra Chahal did not have the best cricketing season between 2019 and 2020, he still remains a top selection as a spinner for the Virat Kohli squad. Although all-rounders such as Axar Patel and Washington Sundar have done well to show their talent on both sides of the pitch and might endanger Chahal’s spot in the roster in the series to come.
Iyer and Chahal deserve Grade B contract.....Iyer is the slotted no. 4 for India and Chahal is the lead spinner in limited overs
    — Mohit Babu (@mohitbabu_iitp) April 15, 2021Why lower grade contracts for @BhuviOfficial, @yuzi_chahal, @ShreyasIyer15?? @SGanguly99 u did not get ur commission or just overdose of elements??

Currently struggling to recover from a severely injured shoulder from the first ODI between India and England at Pune, Shreyas Iyer had established his footing as a legitimate middle order batsman in Team India, in limited overs cricket. His growth as a batsman and as a leader was also seen by the fans, especially during the 2020 season of the Indian Premier Leaguue. But despite rising through the ranks in the India batting order, Iyer’s pay-grade remains the same as last year- Rs. 1 Crore.

It’s going to be a year on June 14th and Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans are still fighting on social media to know what led to his mysterious death. Last year, there were many theories related to his death that surfaced on various news channels, and social media got influenced by the information that was running on these news features.
    View this post on Instagram
In a recent development, Aaj Tak, the Hindi channel of the India Today group, has been asked by the NBSA (News Broadcasting Standard Authority) to air a public apology on their channel on the 23rd of April for spreading fake news about Sushant. Aaj Tak has also been asked to pay a fine of Rs 1 lac for the same. This decision comes after the NBSA rejected the review petition that had been filed by Aaj Tak in the case.
Rejecting Aaj Tak channel's review petition, News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) asks @aajtak to air an apology on April 23 at 8PM for its misreporting about #SushanthSinghRajput death and imposes a fine of Rupees one lakh.#SSR #aajtak pic.twitter.com/HYiIY4u6EK
    — Live Law (@LiveLawIndia) April 15, 2021Last year, the authority had registered a case against the channel for sensationalizing his death while CBI was still investigating the case. The channel was targeted for running insensitive tag lines about Sushant and also for attributing fake tweets as the final words of Sushant Singh Rajput.
“I fought back hard with life. I will be deleting these tweets in a while so just some of you know that I’m done with this mediocre success. I don’t want fame anymore. It's all so peaceful yet so disturbing to handle,” one ‘tweet’ read.
In another, the ‘tweet’ read: “We men are not asked about our health, our mental state, our lives, our thoughts. We are not treated that way. I know I have been through a lot lately. I have been tired of trying so hard. It's been a long journey with you people. I don’t know why I am tweeting this….”
Here’s the screenshot of the tweet that was shown on the channel:
    © Aaj Tak
The images gained traction, with Aaj Tak running them as a part of its news broadcast. However, the news portal later deleted it from its social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. But by that time the damage was done as people started to point out it was fake because the font didn’t match the Twitter font.

For this misinformation, Aaj Tak has been asked to air an apology on 23.4.2021, at 8.00 pm. The text has already been given which they would have to translate in Hindi before airing it on Aaj Tak.
    Here’s the text:
“Aaj Tak apologizes that while reporting on the incidents relating to the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, we had run certain tweets on Aaj Tak channel and wrongly reported the screenshots calling them real and attributing them as the actor's last tweets. By doing so, we have violated Clause 1 of the "Specific Guidelines Covering Reportage" relating to "Accuracy" which states that information should be gathered first-hand from more than one source, if possible; reports received from news agencies should be attributed and where possible be verified; allegations should be reported accurately as made and errors of fact should be corrected at the earliest, giving sufficient prominence to the broadcast of the correct version of fact(s).”
