Sonu Sood might have been known as a mean villain in reel life but turned to be a hero in real life when he came forward to help the needy in 2020 when the novel coronavirus ruined many lives, especially the migrants. He started this initiative called ‘Ghar Bhejo’, with his childhood friend, restaurateur Neeti Goel, last year. Since then, he has been available on Twitter to hear the miseries of common people and tries to help with possible means in the time when the nation is dealing with the pandemic.
Sonu has done all he could for his nation and has been now rewarded as he has been roped in as brand ambassador of the Punjab government for its COVID-19 vaccination drive. Talking about the responsibility that he now has, Sonu tells IANS, "I feel really blessed, motivated. A huge amount of responsibility is on my shoulders that I have to spread the message across to everyone. People have to get vaccinated and we make sure that every family gets its share of vaccination. We should be an example for everyone that how fast people get vaccinated in Punjab. I am on it and we will make sure that the message reaches out to everyone and reaches fast. I always feel that when something like this happens, it has to start from Punjab."
Happy to share that actor & philanthropist @SonuSood will be the Brand Ambassador of our #Covid19 vaccination drive. I thank him for supporting our campaign to reach out to, and protect, every Punjabi, and appeal to all to get vaccinated at the earliest. pic.twitter.com/1083v6M0FP

Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh appointed Sood a day after meeting the actor, who called on him at his residence. “There is no one more ideally suited to inspire and influence people to take the vaccine. There is a lot of hesitancy among people here in Punjab. Sonu’s popularity among them, and his exemplary role in helping tens of thousands of migrants reach safely home since the pandemic broke out last year, will help counter their reservations,” said the chief minister. He added, “When people hear this Punjab da puttar talk about benefits of the vaccine, and how safe and essential it is, they will believe him. Because they trust him.”
Vaccination against #Covid19 will provide all with required immunity to fight pandemic. We need to ensure that all eligible persons are vaccinated at earliest & that we continue to follow safety protocols. Urge my fellow Punjabis to ensure we triumph against #Covid19. @SonuSood pic.twitter.com/D6I07EHRXJ

Neha Kakkar is currently one of the best Indian playback singers of the current generation and she has created her own space with songs like London Thumakda, Dilbar, and O Saki Saki. But, she had a rough start at the Indian Idol auditions, and back then, no one had the slightest idea that she would make it this big in the music industry. She participated in the second season of the music reality show but was eliminated way too early.
A video of Neha’s Indian Idol audition has been doing the rounds on social media and it has created a stir. In the clip, she can be seen singing Aisa Lagta Hai from Refugee, but she couldn’t do it perfectly and failed to impress the judges. You would notice how the judges were unhappy but Anu Malik expressed his disappointment in a rather surprising way.
He said that he felt like slapping himself after her performance. In fact, he actually does that as he literally slaps himself to show his disapproval of her singing skills. “Neha Kakkar... Teri awaaz sun kar lagta hai main apne mooh par maaroon thappad, yaar! Kya ho gaya hai tere ko (I feel like slapping myself after hearing you sing. What happened to you)?” he asked her.
    Here’s the video:

Soon after the video went viral, people started trolling Neha and said that the judgement wasn’t wrong as she still doesn’t sing well.

In an earlier interview with IANS, she had said that she is not much bothered by negative comments coming her way as she says people criticize her because she is number one.

"Of course, I am a human being and I do feel bad about it, but after feeling bad I bounce back. I feel these people who are writing bad (things) about me are nothing but jealous people. They feel, why is Neha here?' Jo number one singer hai uske hi baare main likhengay log (they will write about the singer who is number one)," Neha told IANS.
On the personal front, she tied the knot with singer Rohanpreet Singh in October last year. Neha and Rohanpreet met while shooting for the music video of Nehu Da Vyah and then fell in love.
While we await her reaction to this viral video, what do you guys think about Neha's singing? Let us know in the comments below.
