    ... فاضل جمیلی....اسپاٹ فکسنگ کے الزام میں سزا کاٹنے کے بعد فاسٹ بالر محمدعامر کی قومی ٹیم میں واپسی ہوئی ہے۔انہیں ون ڈے اور ٹی 20دونوں ٹیم کا حصہ بنایا گیا ہے۔ون ڈے ٹیم کےکپتان اظہرعلی ہیں جنہوں نے محمد عامر کی ٹیم میں واپسی کی مخالفت کی تھی جبکہ ٹی 20کے کپتان شاہد آفریدی ہیں جو محمد عامر کی واپسی کے حق میں تھے۔شاہد آفریدی نے عمراکمل کے ’’حیدرآباداسکینڈل‘‘ کے باوجود انہیں ٹیم کا حصہ بنانے کی وکالت کی تھی جبکہ اظہرعلی کےساتھ محمد حفیظ بھی محمد عامر کو ٹیم میں واپس لینے کے خلاف تھے۔ان دونوں کھلاڑیوں نے محمد عامر کی موجودگی میں ٹریننگ کیمپ میں شرکت سے بھی انکار کر دیا تھا لیکن چیئرمین کرکٹ بورڈ شہریار خان نے دونوں کو اپنا موقف تبدیل کرنے پر مجبور کردیا۔ واقفانِ حال کا خیال ہے کہ کچھ اور کھلاڑیوں کے خیالات بھی اظہرعلی اور محمد حفیظ کے ساتھ ملتے جلتے تھے لیکن ان کے ناموں کے ساتھ پردہ نشینی کا ٹیگ لگا کر سینوں میں دبا دیا گیا ۔اب وہ سینہ بہ سینہ ہی سامنے آئیں گے۔ایک ملاکھڑا البتہ ’’جیوسوپر‘‘ کے پروگرام میں سینہ تان کر ہوا۔آمنے سامنے دو پہلوان نہیں بلکہ انتہائی دھیمے مزاج کے دو سابق کپتان رمیز راجہ اور محمد یوسف تھےجو محمد عامر کی ٹیم میں واپسی کے سوال پر آپس میں لڑپڑے تھے۔محمد یوسف نے رمیزراجہ کو ناکام کھلاڑی کا طعنہ دیا اور رمیز راجہ نے محمد یوسف کو جعلی مولوی قراردیا۔یوسف نے کہا کہ رمیز کو انگریزی آتی، کرکٹ نہیں آتی۔رمیز کا جواب تھاکہ یوسف کو تواُردو تک نہیں آتی۔ اس سارے قضیے میں البتہ ٹیسٹ ٹیم کے کپتان مصباح الحق کا بیان زیادہ اہمیت کا حامل ہے ۔ان کا کہنا تھا کہ یہ ٹھیک ہے کہ محمد عامر نے اپنی سزا پوری کر لی ہےلیکن ٹیم میں ان کی واپسی ایک ایسا سوالیہ نشان ہے جس کا کرکٹ بورڈ اور ٹیم مینجمنٹ کو ابھی اندازہ نہیں ہے۔مصباح الحق کے اس بیان کر ذرا کھول کر دیکھا جائے تو اس بات کا خدشہ موجود ہے کہ محمد عامر جب میدان میں اُتریں گے تو یقینی طور پر تماشائیوں کی جانب سے ان پر آوازے کسے جائیں گے۔اگر وہ مخالف کھلاڑیوں کو آئوٹ کریں گے تو مخالف ٹیم بھی انہیں دبائو میں لانے کے لیے ان پر جملے بازی کر سکتی ہے۔کپتان کو بھی تندوتیز سوالات کا سامنا کرنا پڑسکتا ہے۔اس صورتحال میں نہ صرف محمد عامر خود پریشر میں آئیں گے بلکہ پوری ٹیم بھی دبائو میں آسکتی ہے۔ اگرچہ پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ نے محمد عامر یا کسی بھی دوسرے کھلاڑی کی مستقبل میں مخالفت کا راستہ روکنے کے لیے قومی کیمپ میں موجود تمام کھلاڑیوں سے ایک معاہدے پر دستخط کروا لیے ہیںلیکن جن خدشات کااظہار مصباح الحق نے کیا ہے ان پر غور کرنا بھی ضروری ہے۔میچ فکسلنگ کے الزام میں تاحیات پابندی کا سامنا کرنے والے اسٹار بیٹسمین سلیم ملک بھی’’اُمیدسے ہیں‘‘ کہ انہیں بھی ایک بار پھرکرکٹ کو روزی روٹی کا ذریعہ بنانے کی اجازت دے دی جائے۔دیکھنا یہ ہے کہ محمد عامر کے ساتھ کرکٹ بورڈ کی جانب سے جس حسنِ سلوک کا مظاہرہ کیا گیا ہے ، اسی طرح کا برتائو دیگر کھلاڑیوں کے ساتھ کیا جاتا ہے یا نہیں ؟

    ۔۔۔۔ سید عارف مصطفیٰ ۔۔۔۔۔ بلاشبہ 18 دسمبر کو ایک نہایت عمدہ روایت کا آغاز ہوا کہ جس کا تسلسل اسے عہد ساز بنا سکتا ہے ،،، اس روز چین کے شہر وژہن میں منعقدہ دوسری بین الاقوامی انٹرنیٹ کانفرنس سے صدر مملکت ممنون حسین نے اردو میں خطاب کرکے قومی تاریخ کے فخر کے قابل مواقع میں ایک اہم اضافہ کیا کیونکہ ایک اہم عالمی کانفرنس میں پاکستان کے کسی سربراہ کی جانب سے قومی زبان میں خطاب کا ایسا نادر اقدام پہلی بار اٹھایا گیا تھا ،،، اس قدم سے بلاشبہ جہاں ایک طرف پاکستانی قوم کا سر فخر سے بلند ہوا تو دوسری طرف اپنے کلچر اور زبان کے حوالے سے اسکی خود اعتمادی میں اضافہ ہوا ،،، صدر کے اس قابل ستائش اقدام پہ قوم بجاطور پہ انکی ممنون ہے ۔۔۔ لیکن مجھے کہنے دیجیئے کہ نہایت قابل تعریف ہونے کے باوجود یہ اقدام کافی ہرگز نہیں ، اصل ضرورت تو ملک کے ہرشعبے میں اور ہر سطح پہ اپنی قومی زبان کو سرکاری زبان کا مقام دینے کی ہے،، میں صدر کے اس تاریخی خطاب کے بعد 2 ہفتے سے منتظر ہوں کہ وہ قومی زبان سے اپنی دوستی کے اس اقدام کے بعد ملک میں اردو کو اسکا جائز مقام دلانے کیلیئے اور اسے ملک کی سرکاری زبان کے طور پہ نافذ کرنے کیلیئے اپنے منصب کا کوئی اختیار یا اسکا کوئی وزن استعمال کرتے ہیں یا نہیں لیکن ہنوز اس سمت کوئی پیشرفت دیکھنے میں نہیں آئی جہاں تک اپنی قومی زبان میں خطاب والے عمل کی بات ہے تو دو سو سے زائد ممالک کی عالمی براردی کے بیشتر ارکان کیلیئے تو یہ قطعی حیران کن بات نہیں ،،، درحقیقت یہ طرز عمل تو ان اکثر ممالک کا معمول ہے اور وہ اپنے سارے ملکی و غیرملکی امور کی انجام دہی میں اپنی قومی زبان ہی کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں ،،، جبکہ یہاں وطن عزیز میں صورتحال یہ ہے کہ آزادی کے بعد اب جبکہ ساتویں دہائی بھی ختم ہونے کو ہے قومی زبان کو سرکاری زبان قرار دینے کی بیل ابھی تک منڈھے نہیں چڑھ سکی ہے ،،، اس مایوس کن کیفیت میں ابھی 8 ستمبر کو جسٹس جود خواجہ کی سربراہی میں دیا گیا سپریم کورٹ کا تاریخی فیصلہ مژدہ جانفزاء بنکے سامنے آیا ہے کہ جس میں حکومت کو پابند کیا گیا ہے کہ وہ آئین کی مزید خلاف ورزی نہ کرے اور اس اہم آئینی تقاضے کی تکمیل کو یقینی بنائے اور تین مہینے میں تمام ملک میں اردو کو سرکاری زبان کے طور پہ رائج اور نافذ کردے ،،،، گویا عدالت عظمیٰ نے گو بہت تاخیر سے ہی سہی لیکن اب جبکہ اپنے حصے کا کام کر ہی دیا ہے تو اب گیند حکومتی کورٹ میں ہے ،،، لیکن حددرجہ افسوسناک امر یہ ہے کہ اب جبکہ نفاذ اردو کی عدالتی مہلت کی مدت ختم ہوئے بھی دو ہفتے ہوچلے ہیں ۔ حکومت نے تا حال اس حوالے سے کوئی بھی قابل ذکر پیشرفت نہیں کی ہے سپریم کورٹ ملک کا سب سے بڑا آئینی عدالتی ادارہ ہے اور اسکے فیصلوں کو ملک کے قانونی نظام میں جو اہمیت دی جانی چاہیئے اسکی ضرورت سے ہر عاقل و بالغ واقف ہے وگرنہ لاقانونیت کا چلن تو ہر آئین اور ادارے کو فنا کرڈالتا ہے اور اس سے نراجیت اور طوائف الملوکی جنم لیتے ہیں ،،،، اردو کے نفاذ کے حوالے سے سپریم کورٹ کے 8 ستمبر کے تاریخی فیصلے پہ وفاقی حکومت جس طرح کان لپیٹے بیٹھی ہے اور کمیٹی کمیٹی کھیلنے کے سوا کچھ کرتی دکھائی نہیں دے رہی ، اس سے ایسی ہی لاقانونیت پسندی کا تاثر ملتا ہے اور لگتا یوں ہے کہ غافل حکمران طاقتور نوکر شاہی اور بےلگام اشرافیہ یہ نہیں چاہتے کہ انگریزی کا تسلط کبھی ختم ہو جو کہ یہاں طبقاتی نظام کا سب سے بڑا محافظ ہے اور یہ بات انکے لییئے کسی سخت ڈراؤنے خواب کی مانند ہے کہ گاؤں دیہات کے گورنمنٹ اسکولوں کے طالبعلم کبھی گرامر اسکولوں کے طلباء کے مقابل یا برابر آسکیں - سپریم کورٹ کے فیصلے کے بعد تو ہونا یہ چاہیئے تھا کہ ہر سطح پہ اردو کو سرکاری زبان کے طور پہ نافذ کردیا جاتا اور مقابلے کے یہ جو امتحانات فروری میں منعقد ہورہے ہیں ان میں بھی اردو کو امتحانی زبان کا درجہ دیدیا جاتا ،،، لیکن عملاً کچھ بھی نہ کیا گیا اس میں کوئی شک نہیں کہ حکومتی عمال اور اشرافیہ دونوں کسی صورت اردو کو سرکاری زبان کے طور پہ نافذ ہوتے دیکھنا نہیں چاہتے اور نہایت لاپرواہی بلکہ سفاکی سے اس تاریخی فیصلے کو فراموشی کے اسی کوڑہ دان پہ پھینک دینا چاہتے ہیں کہ جہاں یہ گزشتہ 67 برسوں سے پڑا ہوا تھا اور یوں قومی تاریخ میں طویل و پیہم انتظار کے بعد عدالتی فیصلے کی وجہ سے جو اہم تاریخی موڑ آیا تھا اس پہ عملدرآمد کے سوال کو عملاً ایک مذاق بناکر رکھدیا گیا ہے ،،، وزیراعظم نے اس معاملے میں کہنے کی حد تک ایک پارلیمانی کمیٹی بنا ضرور دی ہے لیکن اسکی کارکردگی نہایت افسوسناک حد تک سست روی کا شکار ہے لیکن وزیراعظم کو اتنی توفیق یا فرصت ہی نہیں کہ وہ اس اہم قومی معاملے کا جائزہ لیں - لہٰذا اس سست روی کو دیکھتے ہوئے بہر صورت یہ صدرمملکت کا فرض بن جاتا ہے کہ اس سلسلے میں اصلاح احوال کیلیئے حکومت کو سخت تنبیہ کریں کیونکہ وہ اپنے حلف کی روشنی میں اس امر کے پابند ہیں کہ وہ سپریم کورٹ کے فیصلوں پہ عملدرآمد کو یقینی بنائیں وگرنہ کہا جاسکتا ہے کہ یہ نظراندازی انکے حلف کی خلاف ورزی بھی ہوگی اور توہین عدالت بھی ۔۔۔

    Hardik Pandya might be out of the Indian team across all three formats but that hasn’t affected his brand value in the Indian Premier League (IPL). 
    In fact, if reports are to be believed, his IPL stocks are going to touch new heights as the new Ahmedabad franchise have zeroed in on him to lead their squad in the upcoming edition of the IPL.

    Apart from his impressive IPL record, the other factor that convinced the owners to give Hardik the leadership role was his local connection and his brand value in the Indian market.

    Authorities did not pursue the claim and cited evidence contradicting the woman's account, which she alleged took place at a Portland nightclub.
    Cuban said "it didn't happen" when questioned by The Associated Press about details published in the Willamette Week in Portland, Oregon.
    The report comes two weeks after Sports Illustrated (SI) published a story about the workplace environment under Terdema Ussery ? the team's previous CEO ? alleging inappropriate behaviour and sexual misconduct.

    Experts are still baffled about the existence of a city in the middle of the sea, over a century after it was first discovered. 
    The interest in Nan Madol - the space in between - located just off the main island of Pohnpei in Micronesia in the Pacific was reignited due to satellite images of the region which allow for better observation. 
    The uninhabited city lies 2,500 miles from Los Angeles and is approximately 1,500 miles from Australia. 
    Early explorers termed the Island to be the eighth wonder of the world, owing to the 97 geometrically shaped structures separated by narrow water channels.

    "The complex of Nan Madol is constructed on a series of artificial islets in the shallow water next to the eastern shore of the Pohnpei island. The site encloses an area approximately 1.5 km long by 0.5 km wide and it contains nearly 100 artificial islets.
    Nan Madol seems to have housed the ruling elite caste of Saudeleur dynasty. It was a political and ceremonial seat of power. As a means of control of their subjects, Saudeleur dynasty had succeeded in uniting the clans of Pohnpei. The rulers forced local chieftains to leave their home villages and move to the city where their activities could be more closely observed.
    Most of the islets served as a residential area, however, some of them served a special purpose, such as food preparation, coconut oil production or canoe construction. Madol Powe, the mortuary sector, contains 58 islets in the northeastern area of Nan Madol. The centrepiece of the whole complex is the royal mortuary at the islet of Nandauwas, with its 7.5m high walls surrounding the central tomb enclosure.
    The population of Nan Madol was probably more than 1000 at a time when the whole population of Pohnpei barely reached 25,000. There are no sources of fresh water or possibilities to grow food on Nan Madol so all supplies had to be brought in from the mainland. The population of the city probably included a large number of commoner servants."

There are many conditioners that also target different issues, but the main characteristics you should look for is that it be hydrating. Do not apply conditioner directly on your scalp though, it's meant only for the hair. Once applied, keep it on for at least five minutes and then wash it off. If you have really dry hair, a leave-in conditioner is a great add-on you can try, along with DIY natural conditioners like bananas, eggs, beer washes etc.

    Now that you have restored the moisture and hydration to your tresses, you need to take care of your scalp. A dry scalp will ultimately mean drier hair that is prone to breakage, aside from the obvious result of dandruff and hair fall. Everyone needs to properly oil their hair and scalp at least once a week (if you have oily hair), and upto two to three times a week (if you have dry hair).     Yasser Arafat ? a Palestinian leader and chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) ? listens to journalists at the National Assembly. REUTERS via PW/JDP  Israel tried numerous times to assassinate Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat over the course of years, an Israeli journalist claimed Wednesday, according to international media outlets.

    In his new book called Rise and Kill First: The Secret History of Israel?s Targeted Assassinations, investigative journalist Ronen Bergman asserts that Israeli authorities called off a bid to shoot down a plane after the realisation that Arafat was not travelling in it.
    According to Bergman, the Israeli military had kept on alert four F-16s and F-15s fighter jets from November 1982 to January 1983 if Arafat was spotted and urgent action needed.
    "At least five times, [the jets were ordered] to intercept and destroy airliners believed to be carrying Arafat, only to be called back soon after takeoff," Bergman wrote in the New York Times.

    Of these instances, there was one where the Israeli jets closed in on a commercial aircraft "traveling from Amman to Tunisia before they were pulled off the mission", Haaretz reported.
    On another, they disrupted a Boeing 707's communications.
    Nevertheless, they had to turn back each time due to the non-presence of the Palestinian leader.
    Bergman penned in the NYT that another staged operation saw Israeli national intelligence agency Mossad "taking advantage of lax security at the Athens airport, [where agents] waited for Arafat in the area where private planes were parked".
    In yet another bid, an Israeli intelligence agency team followed Uri Avnery ? a noted journalist and activist ? when he flew to Lebanon for an interview with Arafat, where they intended to kill the Palestinian leader.
    The narration turns even more shocking when Bergman mentioned that agents were ordered to take out Arafat even it meant losing a few Israeli lives.
    Yet, Arafat took a different route using his sixth sense and acumen and managed to stay safe.
    Israeli authorities had believed that assassinating Arafat would destabilise the Palestinian cause, resulting in its elimination, but they eventually failed.

    The recently released web series Ranjish Hi Sahi starring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Amala Paul and Amrita Puri is created by Mahesh Bhatt and is based on his life and his infamous affair with yesteryear actress Parvin Babi. 
    In the show, Tahir plays a character inspired by Mahesh Bhatt whereas Amala Paul plays a character inspired by Parvin Babi. The show also features a character based on Vinod Khanna, who was Mahesh’s close friend. 
    Ranjish Hi Sahi is yet another adaptation of Mahesh Bhatt’s life. 
    The veteran filmmaker has often created films and shows that take an aspect of his life. In fact, some of his most loved films are in fact, inspired by his own life.

    Before Ranjish Hi Sahi, Mahesh Bhatt first adapted his extramarital affair with Parvin Babi in the 1982 classic Arth starring Shabana Azmi, Smita Patil, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Raj Kiran. 

    Three years later in 1985, he made a TV movie called Janam starring Kumar Gaurav. The film was about an aspiring filmmaker who was the illegitimate son of a popular filmmaker. 
    For the unversed, Mahesh Bhatt was the illegitimate son of filmmaker Nanabhai Bhatt. 
    Talking about his father, he had told TOI in 2003, “I was a love child: My parents were very much in love, but not married. I was born on September 20, 1948, to Nanabhai Bhatt, a Hindu, and Shirin Mohammed Ali, a Muslim. I was born after three daughters and followed by a daughter and son. My father did not live with us. When he came home, he never took off his shoes - he wouldn't be staying.”

    In 1989, Mahesh Bhatt tackled another aspect of his life in Daddy starring Anupam Kher. The film marked the acting debut of his daughter and was about his struggle with parenthood and alcoholism. 

    In 2018, Daddy was adapted into a play and at the occasion, Mahesh Bhatt had told Hindustan Times, “I changed the climax of the film a night before we shot it. Since I quit alcohol owing to my conscience, I tweaked the climax to show my protagonist doing the same.”
    In 1990, Mahesh Bhatt once again took inspiration from his own life and made a romantic musical titled Aashiqui, one of the biggest hits of his career. The film was based on Mahesh’s romance with his first wife Lorraine Bright. 
    In 2012, Mahesh had tweeted, “The best-kept secret about Aashiqui is that it is also an autobiographical film, as it deals with the story of my very first love.”

    Later in 2017, he had further elaborated on the same. He had told Hindustan Times, “The narrative of the guy falling in love with an orphan girl was kind of cannibalised from my relationship with the first love of my life... my wife Lorraine Bright. It was the heartbeat of this love tale... I approached Pooja to play the role of her mother because I could see the story of Lorraine highly expressive and more submissive if Pooja had agreed to do it.” 

    Mahesh Bhatt then revisited his affair with Parvin Babi once again after Arth from a different perspective this time with the TV film Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee released in 1993. 
    In 1998, the filmmaker adapted his relationship with his mother and the ordeal she faced while raising illegitimate children. Titled Zakhm, the film starred Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The film also had Pooja Bhatt playing a role inspired by the life of Mahesh Bhatt’s mother and Nagarjuna playing a role inspired by his father Nanabhai Bhatt.

    A year later, in 1999, Mahesh gave up film direction but the urge to adapt his life on celluloid continued. 

    In 2006, the filmmaker wrote and backed Woh Lamhe directed by his nephew Mohit Suri and starring Shiney Ahuja and Kangana Ranaut. Like Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee, Woh Lamhe was also about Bhatt’s affair with Parvin Babi and focused on the actress’ battle with schizophrenia. 
    Around the release of the film, Mahesh Bhatt had stated, “I was watching the last scene of Woh Lamhe in my editing room when it dawned on me why human beings have always tried to keep their dead alive – we try to keep them alive in order to keep them with us. Woh Lamhe is my last goodbye to the memories of Parveen Babi. A woman whom I loved and lost.”
    Well, clearly, it wasn’t his last goodbye to the actress’ memories as he claimed in 2006. Ranjish Hi Sahi in 2022 is proof of it.

    In between, Mahesh Bhatt backed Hamari Adhuri Kahani which was released in 2015. Directed by Mohit Suri and starring Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkummar Rao, Hamari Adhuri Kahani was his tribute to his mother. 

    He had told India Today, “Yes, Hamari Adhuri Kahani is sourced from my own lived life. It has the heartbeat of my mother, who lived a difficult, solitary life as her husband, whom she loved so intensely, was conspicuous by his absence. He was simply unavailable for her.” 
    However, he mentioned that even though Zakhm was also based on similar lines, Hamari Adhuri Kahani was also about his stepmother, “Of course, this film, like Zakhm, is about my mother. But the main reason why I wrote this film was not her, but my stepmother. For the most part of my life, I saw my stepmother as a demon, but when I got closer to her I discovered that she was a magnificent woman whose life too was as tragic as my mother's.”

    In 2016, Mahesh Bhatt turned towards TV and directed a few episodes of daily soap titled Naamkaran which was based on the 1998 film Zakhm. 

    Now after the release of Ranjish Hi Sahi, here’s wondering how many more of his life story reboots Mahesh Bhatt’s going to present to the audience in future.

    The newly weds have a luxury apartment waiting for them in Worli area of Mumbai Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who tied the knot in Italy on December 11 in a fairytale ceremony, will soon move into their dream house in Mumbai.

    Omkar Realtors website  The 7,171-square-foot apartment, which Kohli bought in 2016, faces the Arabian Sea and is said to be located in the most luxurious of the three towers of the Omkar 1973 Towers complex.
    Omkar Realtors website  According to details shared by Architectural Digest, the four-bedroom apartment has a few defining features: a ceiling height of 13 feet that creates a large space, and decks or verandas that extend from each bedroom.
    Omkar Realtors website  Other features include a grand entrance lobby, dedicated spa for pets, fitness and sports facilities, a sky terrace for hosting parties and dedicated areas for kids ? including a crèche, pool, and play area.
    Omkar Realtors website  The couple will also have a familiar face as a neighbour ? fellow cricketer Yuvraj Singh also purchased an apartment in the same tower in 2013.
    Kohli and Anushka will host a reception in New Delhi for relatives on December 21, followed by a celebration in Mumbai on December 26 to be attended by Bollywood stars and cricketers.
    They will then honeymoon in South Africa before moving into their new home in Mumbai, the cradle of India´s multi-billion-dollar Hindi film industry.

    Imagine losing anything in the Pacific Ocean! Most of us would write it off and forget about the item we lost. That's what happened to surfer Robert Bainter when he lost his Apple Watch while body surfing a large wave. He picked up his arm and his Apple Watch was missing.

    Bainter surfs at Huntington Beach, California and was able to reunite with his lost Apple Watch six months later. The shocking thing about his discovery was that the Apple Watch was still working even after being lost at sea for six months.

    Robert Bainter told KTLA 5 TV “This thing has been my good luck charm, I would use it quite often to show the surf and how fast you were going. It would even show you where you were on the beach.”
    Bainter used Apple's Find My iPhone app to find his Apple Watch every time he visited the same beach. However, he could not find it in time and six months had passed. He got an unlikely call from a man who said he had found his watch. It was found almost 5 KMs away from where he originally lost the Apple Watch.

    The Apple Watch was able to survive deep undersea for six months however prolonged exposure to salt water made the screen a bit hazy. The Apple Watch comes with a Water Lock mode which basically seals up all the ports to avoid entry of water. It can only be disabled by scrolling on the dial as it ejects any excess water in the ports. It is possible that when Bainter's Apple Watch was lost at sea, the mode might have been turned on when he was surfing.
