    Photo: courtesy Pixar  LOS ANGELES: Disney´s Cars 3 raced past superhero flick Wonder Woman to number one at the North American box office over the weekend, with a $53.3 million haul, industry estimates showed Sunday.

    The third installment in Pixar´s Cars franchise featuring Lightning McQueen and his longtime friends fighting off a challenge from a new generation of racers is voiced by stars including Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo and Armie Hammer.
    Despite being knocked down to second place, Wonder Woman still had an impressive showing.
    The action film starring Gal Gadot netted $40.8 million, for a total of $274.6 million in domestic ticket sales in three weeks, according to industry tracker Exhibitor Relations.
    Gadot, of the Fast and Furious series, plays an Amazonian goddess-princess-superhero whose lasso, bracelet and tiara have magical powers.
    In third place was newcomer All Eyez on Me. The Tupac biopic beat expectations with $27.1 million in ticket sales for Demetrius Shipp Jr.´s portrayal of the legendary rapper´s rise, prison sentence and shooting death.
    It buried The Mummy, starring Tom Cruise, which placed fourth. The latest revival of the original Mummy made in 1932 took in $13.9 million in its second weekend.
    The film, which cost $125 million, has been widely panned by critics.
    Fifth place went to 47 Meters Down, the adventures of two sisters who fend off a shark attack after going cage diving. It scored $11.5 million.

    Gwadar International Airport Nov 2016. Photo: Reuters  KARACHI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to close down the under-construction Gwadar International Airport in July due to expansion work on the runway.
    CAA sources said the runway will be inoperable form July 1 ? 31. An alternative runway has not been designated by the authority as yet.
    Sources said following the refurbishment work, the Airbus A-320 will be able to land at the airport.
    In February this year, Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatta said construction work on the Gwadar International Airport, costing Rs22 billion, would be completed in October.

Photo: Reuters Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said the Gwadar airport would cater to the needs of the Gwadar deep-sea port as it would become the prime venue of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The CPEC has also increased passenger traffic in the area, he added.
    ?It will be the largest airport in Balochistan that will facilitate domestic and international passengers with facilities of international standards,? he said further.

    RAWALPINDI: About 20 suspects were apprehended in joint operations across Punjab, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.

    The operations were conducted by Pakistan Rangers Punjab, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), police and intelligence agencies in the surrounding areas of Kharian and Sarai Alamgir.
    Illegeal weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the suspects? possession.
    The joint operations were a part of the nationwide Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, which was launched on February 22 after a string of terrorist attacks across the country.

    The army?s media cell said during the last 24 hours, security forces conducted 29 cordon-and-search operations and 12 IBOs in different parts of the country
    According to the ISPR Director-General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, the operation aims include the elimination of the residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made so far and ensuring the security of Pakistan?s borders.

    Moreover, law enforcing agencies (LEAs) arrested three suspects during search operations in different parts of Karachi?s Lyari area early Monday morning.
    The suspects, Shahbaz alias Shebo along with two accomplices, were wanted for different cases including killing police officers and extortion. The three gangsters were also involved in Lyari gang war.
    Weapons and hand grenades were seized from the suspects.

Photo: REUTERS Alphabet Inc's Google will implement more measures to identify and remove terrorist or violent extremist content on its video sharing platform YouTube, the company said in a blog post on Sunday.
    Google said it would take a tougher position on videos containing supremacist or inflammatory content by issuing a warning and not monetising or recommending them for user endorsements, even if they do not clearly violate its policies.
    The company will also employ more engineering resources and increase its use of technology to help identify extremist videos, in addition to training new content classifiers to quickly identify and remove such content.
    "While we and others have worked for years to identify and remove content that violates our policies, the uncomfortable truth is that we, as an industry, must acknowledge that more needs to be done. Now," said Google's general counsel Kent Walker. 
    Google will expand its collaboration with counter-extremist groups to identify content that may be used to radicalise and recruit extremists, it said.
    The company will also reach potential Daesh recruits through targeted online advertising and redirect them towards anti-terrorist videos in a bid to change their minds about joining.
    Germany, France and Britain, countries where civilians have been killed and wounded in bombings and shootings by militants in recent years, have pressed Facebook and other providers of social media such as Google and Twitter to do more to remove extremist content and hate speech.
    Facebook on Thursday offered additional insight on its efforts to remove terrorism content, a response to political pressure in Europe to militant groups using the social network for propaganda and recruiting.
    Facebook has ramped up use of artificial intelligence such as image matching and language understanding to identify and remove content quickly, the company said in a blog post.

REUTERS/Neil Hall  LONDON: A van ploughed into worshippers leaving a London mosque on Monday, killing at least one person and injuring several in what Britain's largest Muslim organisation said was a deliberate act of xenophobia.
    The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) said the vehicle hit people as they were leaving the Finsbury Park Mosque, one of the biggest in the country. The attack comes during the Muslim holy month of Ramazan when people attend 'Taraweeh' prayers at night.
    British Prime Minister Theresa May said police had confirmed it was being treated as a potential terrorist attack and said she would chair an emergency response meeting later on Monday.
    Police said one man was pronounced dead at the scene and that the van driver, 48, had been detained by members of the public before being arrested. The driver would undergo a mental health assessment in due course, police said.
    The London Ambulance Service said it had taken eight people to the hospital, while two were treated at the scene.
    Prime Minister May said her thoughts were with those injured in "this terrible incident". The leader of the opposition Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, said he was "totally shocked".
    The MCB said the incident was the most violent manifestation of hatred against Muslims in Britain in recent months and called for extra security at places of worship just as Ramazan near its end.
    "It appears that a white man in a van intentionally ploughed into a group of worshippers who were already tending to someone who had been taken ill," the council said in a statement.
    Police said they were called just after 12:20 AM (11:20 PM GMT, Sunday) to reports of a collision on Seven Sisters Road, which runs through the Finsbury Park area of north London.
    "From the window, I started hearing a lot of yelling and screeching, a lot of chaos outside. ? Everybody was shouting: 'A van?s hit people, a van?s hit people'," one woman who lives opposite the scene told the BBC.
    "There was this white van stopped outside Finsbury Park mosque that seemed to have hit people who were coming out after prayers had finished."
    The incident comes just over two weeks after three militants drove into pedestrians on London Bridge and stabbed people at nearby restaurants and bars, killing eight.
    It also comes at a time of political turmoil, as Prime Minister May plunges into divorce talks with the European Union weakened by the loss of her parliamentary majority in a June 8 election.
    She has faced heavy criticism for her response to a fire in a London tower block on Wednesday which killed at least 58 people, and for her record on security after a series of attacks blamed on militants in recent months.
    One witness told CNN it was clear that the attacker at Finsbury Park had deliberately targeted Muslims.
    "He tried to kill a lot of people so obviously it's a terrorist attack. He targeted Muslims this time," the witness, identified only as Rayan, said.
    Other witnesses told Sky television that the van had hit at least 10 people.
    'Deliberately swerved'
    Miqdaad Versi, the MCB's assistant secretary-general, said the van had deliberately swerved into a group of people who were helping a man who was ill and had fallen to the ground.
    "Basically, a van swerved into them deliberately," Versi told Reuters, citing a witness. He said the driver had run out of the van but a group of people caught him and held him until police arrived.
    Britain has been hit by a series of attacks in recent months, including the van-and-knife attack on London Bridge on June 3.
    On March 22, a man drove a rented car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge in London and stabbed a policeman to death before being shot dead. His attack killed five people.
    On May 22, a suicide bomber killed 22 people at a concert by American pop singer Ariana Grande in Manchester in northern England.
    The attacks were a factor in campaigning ahead of the June 8 election, with Prime Minister May criticised for overseeing a drop of 20,000 in the number of police officers in England and Wales as interior minister from 2010 to 2016.
    She was also criticised for keeping her distance from angry residents during her visit to the charred remains of the 24-storey Grenfell Tower.
    She said on Saturday the response to the fire, in which at least 58 people were killed on Wednesday, had been "not good enough".
    The Finsbury Park Mosque gained notoriety more than a decade ago for sermons by radical cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri, who was sentenced to life in a US prison in January 2015 for his conviction on terrorism-related charges.
    A new board of trustees and management took over in February 2005, a year after Abu Hamza was arrested by British police, since when attendance has greatly increased among worshippers from various communities, according to the mosque's website.

    Photo: Getty Images/file PARIS: The aircraft industry descends on Paris for the world´s biggest airshow Monday, which sees bitter rivals Boeing and Airbus battle for contracts as newcomers snap at the heels of the two giants.
    Single-aisle planes for short and medium distances are the hottest ticket in the world´s civil aviation industry, with airline demand for models in the Airbus A320 family giving the European company an edge, for now, over its American opponent, which is racing to return in force to the mid-range segment.
    But the duopoly is not without challengers: Competition is looming, notably from Russia and China who have each been test-flying their own mid-range models.
    Boeing, meanwhile, is to showcase the 737 Max 9 model as its anti-Airbus weapon in a market segment where squeezing a few more seats into a narrow-body cabin while eking out increased fuel efficiency over greater ranges is key.
    Airbus´s biggest-capacity member of the mid-range family, the brand new A321neo, is able to fit in 236 seats in an all-economy class version. Low-cost airlines are eyeing the aircraft to break profitably into transatlantic routes.
    Coming up next from Boeing is the 737 Max 10 which is to match that capacity, while also being lighter and cheaper, the plane maker has said. Test flights have been completed and Boeing is now talking to customers about placing orders.
    "This airplane would give airlines increased capacity and the lowest seat costs ever for a single-aisle airplane," said Randy Tinseth, vice president for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
    "Simply put, the 737 MAX 10X would be the most profitable single-aisle airplane the industry has ever seen," he wrote in a blog entry.
    Airbus will also showcase its new long-haul model A350-1000 and Boeing its 787-10 Dreamliner while Ukraine´s Antonov will present its 132 D.
    While new civilian aircraft orders will probably fall short of the $130 billion the Paris show clocked up last time -- mostly thanks to booming orders for Boeing and Airbus -- the industry is still optimistic about sustained long-term growth.
    Airbus said earlier this month it expects the market for large passenger planes to more than double in the next 20 years driven by growth from Asian markets.
    The planemaker predicts the need for 35,000 new planes worth $5.3 trillion over the next two decades, an increase from last year´s estimates.
    The biennial Paris Airshow, which runs to June 25, is expected to attract 150,000 industry professionals from 2,370 companies.
    There will also be some 200,000 regular visitors, many of whom will come especially for spectacular displays of supersonic military hardware as fast combat planes break the sound barrier. One star performer will be Lockheed Martin´s F-35A new generation fighter jet.

    Jared Kushner en route to Iraq for a visit in April 2017. Photo: Reuters US President Donald Trump is sending two top aides to Jerusalem and Ramallah this week to discuss potential next steps in his bid to restart Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, a White House official said on Sunday.
    Going on the trip will be White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, who is Trump's son-in-law and husband of his daughter Ivanka Trump, and Jason Greenblatt, a top national security aide. Greenblatt will arrive in the region on Monday and Kushner on Wednesday.
    The talks follow Trump's discussions last month with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Behind-the-scenes conversations have been taking place since the Trump trip, the White House official said.
    "Excited to be traveling back to Israel and the Pal. Territories to continue the discussion about the possibility of peace", Greenblatt tweeted on Sunday night.
    Kushner and Greenblatt will have meetings in Jerusalem and Ramallah to hear directly from the Israeli and Palestinian leadership "about their priorities and potential next steps," the official said.
    "President Trump has made it clear that working towards achieving a lasting peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians is a top priority for him. He strongly believes that peace is possible," the official said.
    Kushner and Greenblatt are working with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and White House national security adviser HR McMaster on the Middle East issue.
    "It is important to remember that forging a historic peace agreement will take time and to the extent that there is progress, there are likely to be many visits by both Kushner and Greenblatt, sometimes together and sometimes separately, to the region and possibly many trips by Israeli and Palestinian negotiators to Washington DC or other locations as they pursue substantive talks," the official said.

PHOTO: REUTERS President Emmanuel Macron won a commanding majority in France's parliamentary election on Sunday, sweeping aside traditional parties and securing a powerful mandate for pro-business reforms.
    The result, based on official figures and pollster projections, redraws France's political landscape, humiliating the Socialist and conservative parties that alternated in power for decades until Macron's election in May.
    Three pollsters projected that Macron's Republic on the Move (LREM) and its Modem allies would win 355 to 365 seats in the 577-seat lower house, fewer than previously forecast.
    They predicted the conservative Republicans and their allies would form the largest opposition bloc with 125 to 131 seats, while the Socialist Party, in power for the past five years, and its partners would secure 41 to 49 seats, their lowest ever in the postwar Fifth Republic.
    Official figures with 90 seats still left to be decided showed LREM had already won its majority.
    "This is an opportunity for France. One year ago no one would have imagined such a political renewal," Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said in a statement.
    Voter turnout was projected to be a record low at about 42 percent.
    The high abstention rate underlines that Macron will have to tread carefully with reforms in a country with muscular trade unions and a history of street protests that have forced many a past government to dilute new legislation.
    Government spokesman Christophe Castaner said it signaled voters "had not wanted to hand Macron a blank check."
    Nevertheless, the scale of victory gives the president, a pro-European Union centrist, a strong platform from which to make good on campaign promises to revive France's fortunes by cleaning up politics and relaxing regulations that investors say shackle the euro zone?s second-biggest economy.
    POLITICAL ROUTING
    Victory for Macron, France's youngest leader since Napoleon, marks the routing of the old political class.
    Having never held elected office, he seized on the growing resentment toward a political elite perceived as out of touch, and on public frustration at its failure to create jobs and spur stronger growth, to win the presidency.
    His year-old party then filled the political space created by the disarray within the Socialist Party and the Republicans, with Sunday night capping a sequence of events that a year ago looked improbable.

    None of the 20 injured plane passengers were critically injured. Photo: REUTERS/file  At least 26 people were injured when a China Eastern Airlines flight from Paris to the southwestern Chinese city of Kunming hit turbulence on Sunday, state news agency Xinhua reported.
    Passengers onboard flight MU774 suffered injuries such as fractures when strong turbulence caused them to hit the overhead lockers and be hit by falling baggage, Xinhua said late on Sunday. At least four people were in a serious condition, it said.
    In a posting on its official Weibo account, China Eastern Airlines said that it had arranged relevant medical services for the flight's passengers, without confirming details of the injuries. It added that all passengers should fasten safety belts during flights for safety.
    "We felt strong turbulence twice and minor turbulence three times. The process lasted about 10 minutes," Xinhua quoted a passenger surnamed Zhang, as saying.
    This was the second incident the airline encountered within the week. On June 11, a China Eastern Airlines flight MU736 bound for Shanghai, had to make an emergency landing and return to Sydney after a hole emerged in one of the aircraft's engines.

    Photo: File ISLAMABAD: The special bench of the Supreme Court will hold proceedings today over the government's response to the Panama case Joint Investigation Team?s (JIT) charges that its probe is being impeded by certain official quarters. 
    Proceedings of the three-member bench could not be held on Thursday as the JIT members could not show up in court owing to the premier?s questioning by them on the same day. The case was then adjourned till Monday (today). 

    The bench is headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and includes Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh. 
    At the hearing on on Wednesday, the court had reserved its decision on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif?s son, Hussain Nawaz's, petition challenging the recording of the JIT proceedings and had also directed the attorney general (AG) to submit his response to the JIT?s report on ?impediments? faced by it.

    The AG, on Friday, submitted the government's response to the JIT's charges in the Supreme Court. 
    In it, all the government agencies, departments and ministry, including the Prime Minister House, have rejected charges of pressuring witnesses and delaying the high-profile probe. 
    Also on Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif appeared before the JIT to become the fourth member of the Sharif family summoned for the probe.

    Following the session, the Punjab chief minister said that every penny earned by his family is accounted for, adding that all assets owned by the family are part of the family?s private wealth and have nothing to do with public funds.

    He also rejected all allegations of wrongdoing and corruption hurled by his opponents.

    The Supreme Court decided to begin investigating the Sharif family in November last year after the main political parties failed to agree on a committee to probe the April 2016 Panama Papers leaks, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan threatened mass protests and to ?shut down Islamabad? in protest on November 2. 
    On April 20, the five-member Supreme Court bench gave its verdict in the case with the judgment split 3-2 in favour of a further probe against the premier's family wealth. The other two judges had ruled that sufficient evidence was available for the prime minister to be de-seated.

    The JIT ? formed on May 6 ? was given 60 days to complete its probe into the Sharif family?s international financial dealings and submit its report to the Supreme Court?s special implementation bench overseeing its proceedings.
    The JIT team is headed by Federal Investigation Agency Additional Director Wajid Zia, and includes members from Inter-Services Intelligence, Military Intelligence, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, State Bank of Pakistan and the National Accountability Bureau.

    Photo: File  LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) late Sunday foiled a major terror attack and killed two terrorists belonging to a banned terror outfit near Lahore?s Saggian Bridge vicinity.
    The CTD acted upon intelligence reports received about four members of a banned terrorist organisation entering Lahore and planning to attack sensitive installations.
    Four motorcyclists opened fire on the CTD personnel when they were stopped late at night near Saggian Bridge.
    The retaliatory firing by security forces killed two terrorists, however, two of their accomplices managed to escape, the CTD said.
    Explosives, detonators, Primacords, Kalashnikov, pistol, and other arms were seized from the possession of the dead terrorists.
    ?A search operation is underway to find the fugitive terrorists,? a CTD spokesperson said

    A westerly wave is expected to affect most upper and central parts of the country from Monday evening and likely to persist till Thursday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted.
    Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country in the next twenty-four hours. However, rain and dust-thundershower with gusty winds are expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, D.G.Khan, Multan, Faisalabad, D.I. AFP / Ian Kington  LONDON: Indian captain Virat Kohli said the pressure created by Pakistan's bowlers proved too much for his title-holders to handle in a stunning 180-run Champions Trophy final defeat at The Oval.

    After Kohli won the toss and, surprisingly, opted to field first, Pakistan posted an imposing total of 338 for four featuring Fakhar Zaman's maiden one-day international hundred, an innings where he might have been run out for one and was caught off a no-ball on three.
    It all left India needing to set a new tournament record for a team batting second to win if they were to retain the title they won in England four years ago.
    Ironically, the mark they had to top was the 322 for three made by Sri Lanka in the seven-wicket win over India at The Oval on June 8 ? the lone group-stage loss suffered by Kohli's side.
    The already considerable scoreboard pressure became impossible for India to cope with when Mohammad Amir reduced them to 33 for three.
    The Pakistan left-arm quick's brilliant burst of three for 16 in 28 balls saw him snare opener Rohit Sharma lbw for a duck and have Kohli, the world's leading ODI batsman, caught off a leading edge for just five.
    "They made us make those mistakes with the way they were bowling, creating that pressure," Kohli told reporters.
    'High risk'
    If left-handed opener Fakhar rode his luck at times, he also produced an array of superb shots, notably in a first-wicket stand of 128 with Azhar Ali.
    "When players like that get going on their day, it becomes really difficult to stop them because I think 80 percent of his shots were high-risk ? and they were all coming off," said Kohli.
    "As a bowler and as a captain when that is happening? sometimes you have to sit and say 'the guy is good enough on the day to tackle anything'.
    "We certainly tried to make them hit in areas that we felt it would be uncomfortable, but we just didn't have anything going our way in that partnership."
    Meanwhile, reflecting on India's tournament as a whole, Kohli insisted: "We can (still) be very proud ... and we leave here with our heads held high.

    "Credit to everyone for standing up and showing that resilience and reaching the finals ? (but) we were outplayed in all departments.
    "In the end? you have to accept and admire sometimes the skill of the opposition," Kohli added sportingly.

    Update [5:30 AM PST]: A van speeded towards and rammed into people coming out of a mosque following the 'taraveeh' prayers, which are offered after breaking fast during the holy month of Ramazan.
    According to the police, one white British man has been taken into custody, but neither has his identity been revealed nor the registration number of the vehicle he was driving.
    Unverified reports allege that at least 10-15 people have been wounded, but no official figure has been released by either the security authorities or the emergency and medical services.

    A number of resources have been sent off to the incident at Seven Sisters Road, London Ambulance stated.

    Cristiano Ronaldo brushed off speculation about his Real Madrid future, although Portugal conceded a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Mexico at the Confederations Cup on Sunday.
    Ronaldo teed up Ricardo Quaresma to fire Portugal ahead in the first half in Kazan, but the goal was cancelled out before the break by Mexico striker Javier Hernandez's bullet header.
    Cedric Soares restored Portugal's lead on 86 minutes, but Hector Moreno's stoppage-time header salvaged a point for Mexico in their Group A opener.
    "We could have killed off the match but it didn't happen. The draw is a fair result without doubt," said Portugal coach Fernando Santos, whose side wore black armbands in honour of the victims of a deadly forest fire back home.
    "I would like to say something on behalf of my players. People are very sad in Portugal and the players are thinking of all those who are suffering from what's happened."
    Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio said his team deserved their point but admitted there was work to be done going forward.
    "Hector Moreno's goal handed Mexican football a huge result," he said.
    "We still need to work on our finishing, we're not efficient enough in the final third of the pitch.
    "The next match will be very tough because New Zealand will give it their all."
    Ronaldo, 32, is reportedly furious over a tax probe into the off-shore accounts dealing with his image rights, and has reportedly vowed to leave Spain.
    According to Spanish paper Marca on Sunday, Real Madrid's coach Zinedine Zidane even broke off his holiday to call Ronaldo to try to persuade his star not to quit the club.

    Borussia Dortmund midfielder Raphael Guerreiro failed to deal with a cross into the box and Carlos Vela teed up Hernandez, who met the cross with a diving header.
    After an explosive opening period, the second was a much tamer affair as both teams squandered half chances as the tempo dropped.
    With time running out, Southampton right-back Cedric pounced on a loose ball and slammed home Portugal's second goal.
    But with the 90 minutes up, Mexican defender Moreno rose highest from the final corner of the game to head in the equaliser.

    Shocked silence reverberated across New Delhi on Sunday night following the historic upset by Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final at The Oval in London.
    Delhi's streets were all but deserted after the game ended with fans storming out of public screenings after Hardik Pandya?s 76-run blitz ended with India staring down the barrel at 152-7.
    "I am shocked... we thought we would have them for dinner, but it has turned the other way," Amit Sharma told news agency AFP at Delhi's Connaught Place.

    While some fireworks were ignited at the National Stadium near India Gate, Sanjay, a disappointed fan, said they were "fireworks of anger".
    "A loss against Pakistan is always a bitter pill to swallow. But you have to applaud their brand of cricket and their comeback in this tournament after being crushed by India," Raju Verma, an auto driver, said.

    India media showed one emotional fan crying as he spoke to journalists after India's defeat at the hand of the Green Shirts. 

    Photos showed others breaking their television sets in anger on the streets of Delhi.
    The rather extreme reaction, ironically, came after Indian sports journalist Vikrant Gupta claimed that if India loses the match against Pakistan, "at least nobody in India would react by breaking TV sets in anger".

    Gupta's claim was a jab at emotional Pakistani cricket fans, some of whom have in the past reacted to Pakistan's defeat against India in a similar manner.

Geo News screengrab LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan Sunday claimed that former deputy director of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Inamur Rehman has "evidence of money laundering against Sharif family and there are threats to his life".

    Speaking to media here, the PTI chief said that Rehman made revelations about Huddaibiya Paper Mills and Sharif family, and the Panama case joint investigation team (JIT) should summon him.
    "Those loyal to the Godfather are threatening the former FIA official," he said, calling for providing security to Rehman.
    The PTI chairman criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother, Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif, for telling they never did any corruption.
    He said that Inamur Rehman must present that evidence before the JIT, adding that money laundering and kickbacks have exposed Sharif family.
    Khan reiterated that the prime minister should step down, for the institutions are under him.
    Speaking earlier at a fundraiser for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital (SKMH), the PTI chairman said the hospital has been treating 75 per cent patients free of cost and there's no VIP ward in it.

    "Everyone was saying that Pakistan can't beat India in major tournaments, we did it today in a remarkable manner to change this perception," a jubilant Sarfraz told media.
    "I think now people should now stop saying that Pakistan can't beat India in major events," he said.
    The wicket-keeper batsman said that the win was important for Pakistan cricket and he would dedicate this title to everyone in Pakistan.
    "This is very important for me as a captain and for everyone else as a team. This is very important victory for Pakistan cricket," he said.
    "We are forced to play our home matches outside our home, no one thought that we would make it to second stage of the tournament but we defied all odds and defeated every top team in this tournament," he said.
    "I want to dedicate this win to everyone in Pakistan," he replied when asked whom he would name this achievement.

    Pakistan made sure it did not turn out to be a costly mistake, though, as Amir dismissed him next ball.
    His departure proved to be a bad omen for the Indians as the only other time he had been dismissed in this year?s Champions Trophy - against Sri Lanka in the group stage - the holders also lost the match.

    Amir was at his brilliant best when he produced a devastating opening spell. He removed India?s top three batsmen - Rohit Sharma (0), Shikhar Dhawan (21) and Kohli (5).
    After leaving India reeling on six for two following the dismissals of Sharma and Kohli, Amir?s figures read 1.4 overs, four runs, two wickets.
    His transformation into a hero was complete as his final tally was six overs, two maidens, 16 runs and three wickets.
    Hardik Pandya run out for 76 
    Pandya came to the crease with India teetering on 54 for five after Yuvraj Singh and former captain Dhoni departed in quick succession.
    He raised hopes of pulling off a one-man Indian Houdini act as he hit three successive sixes to reach his half century.
    But just when it seemed that he was blazing towards a first international century, he was run out after a mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja.

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif felicitated the nation over historic Champions Trophy win, paying tribute to Pakistan team for their remarkable show against India. He lauded the team for defeating India with a huge margin to lift Champions Trophy.

    He was followed by President Mamnoon Hussain, who congratulated the team for their historic victory against India.

    "Pakistan achieved historic win through unity and determination," he said, in a statement, adding that hardwork and passion pave way for great achievements.
    The president also felicitated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and team management.
    Meanwhile, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa congratulated the Pakistan side, saying, "Teamwork can never be defeated". He also announced Umrah package for the entire side.
