  1. You don't have to be a collector to recognize the unmistakable click of a Zippo lighter. The unique sound is not just soothing to many but is also a click that nearly 4 out of 5 adults will instantly recognize anywhere across the world. These aren't just tall claims but are facts that are supported on relevant grounds. Established way back in 1932, the Zippo windproof lighter easily found its way into the popular culture references and won many hearts with its unique design and unwavering durability. Yup, the biggest keyword that defines this as a collector's prized possession is the fact that despite the improvements to the flint wheel and evolving designs over the years, Zippo remains true to its famous lifetime guarantee – "It works, or we fix it free.™" Coming back to the click of the century, the Zippo click sound has recently been trademark joining the ranks of other unique sounds that you'll instantly connect with. So what really makes the click so unique? The crisp click of a Zippo lighter opening and closing is a trigger to numerous emotional responses. Approximately 70% of people stated that the sound instils positive emotional benefits. Sound is having an impact more than ever on people's moods evident in the global phenomenon of ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) content. This is characterised by a static-like, tingling sensation that occurs due to a relaxing response to stimuli. ASMR triggers can range from whispering voices to the heightened audio of everyday sounds- with each trigger affecting the listener on a very individual level. This image of the inner workings of the Zippo lighter breaks down its anatomy revealing the small things that make the big difference. Made up of 9 essential raw materials, this collector's item clicks each of the products into motion resulting in the crisp click sound and the subsequent flame. Filling and Lighting the Zippo The Zippo windproof lighter is filled by removing the inside unit from the lighter case (9). Turn the inside unit over and lift the felt pad (8) to reveal the packing material in the fuel chamber (3). Hint: Use an unfolded paper clip or similar tool if the pad is hard to lift. With the felt pad out of the way, the fuel chamber is ready to be filled with lighter fuel, slowly saturating the wick (6) and the packing material (7) inside the fuel container. Once reassembled, the lighter is ready to use. A simple downward flick of the flint wheel (1) strikes it against the flint held in place by the flint spring (5), creating hot sparks that ignite the lighter fuel coating the wick (6). When opening the lighter, the distinctive Zippo click is created by the cam (2). The wick continues to draw lighter fuel from the packing material (7) in the fuel tank, and sends a continuous flow of fuel up the wick to keep the flame lit. This unwavering fuel flow, along with the perforated chimney design, helps the flame stay alight even in wind – an integral feature of the Zippo lighter's design since it first debuted in 1932. Finally, when the lighter lid is closed, the flame is immediately extinguished as it becomes deprived of the oxygen it needs to burn. If you are an aspiring collector of this nearly-a-century old masterpiece, make sure that you check the markings and manufacture date (this marking began in 1958) at the bottom to decode the lighter's age.
  2. Tired of failing the New Year's fitness resolutions? Getting average results even after following your fitness guru's training and nutrition advice? It all starts with this fitness discussion around the new year with friends and family that how we want to lose X amount of weight or gain X amount of weight or achieve some form of idealized physique. A goal is always set by everyone but we are unable to reach or surpass their fitness goals. Did You Ever Think Why? © Unsplash We set a goal instead of systems. When we set a goal, it's basically an emotional attachment without any concrete daily action plan while systems can help us design that daily action plan and instead of focusing on the result we put the effort in following the daily procedure required to achieve our fitness goal. Goal: I want to lose 3kg this month System: 1) Following Daily set calories + Amount of time set for physical activity Above is building a long-term process in a space where most of us are focussed on finding quick and short-cut solutions. Now that we have understood the concept of systems in general, let's talk about the steps we can take to create this sustainable fitness lifestyle and kickstart your fitness journey in 2019. 1) Take Baby Steps When you have decided to kickstart your fitness journey in 2019, you need to understand that the change you make has to be sustainable for it to have a long-term effect. Example: A completely inactive person, with unhealthy eating habits for the majority of his life, decides to start his fitness journey by directly jumping on an intense training program and changing his entire daily eating pattern in a short amount of time. While above seems like a very good start, it's probably going to go down the drain after few months of mental exhaustion or worst completely returning back to before. Start slowly, aim to increase your activity level more than previous and start replacing unhealthy food options for healthy one by one. Keep a track whether you are able to maintain the change and adapt to the small change you just made. If yes, increase it one level further and so on according to your schedule. 2) Track Your Exercise And Food © Unsplash When you begin tracking what you eat and how much do you exercise daily you will become more conscious of your actions for your fitness goals. Results should be measurable and so should your daily process to improvise and find the areas which are stopping you from achieving your fitness goals in 2019. Example- I eat healthily, I consume good food Optimal way: I eat 2500 calories and I exercise daily for 45 minutes and repeat this 4 times a week (more details, the better) 3) Seek Knowledge And Help If you are determined but you don't have a direction for achieving your fitness goals in 2019 you are going to go haywire and won't achieve your desired outcome. Best and fastest way to learn something is to pay someone and seek knowledge. Other methods include reading articles over here and follow up on researches. If you want to avoid all the above hassle and save your time, the first option is what you should go ahead with. 4) Environment Over Motivation © Unsplash Lot of times we indulge ourselves in watching motivational videos and motivational music, though science has clearly demonstrated the impact of music on training, the goal shouldn't be motivation but it should be self-motivation. The fire should come from within and for the fire to stay alive it requires you to surround yourself with people who support you and are also determined to achieve their fitness goals in 2019. You can't outgrow your environment. Your motivation to kickstart your fitness goal in 2019 will plummet down but if you have supportive people around and people who also want to become a better version of themselves, you will have a higher probability of doing the same and sustaining your fitness for a longer period. As a good measure always make friends with people who you see regularly in the gym and learn from them. 5) Mental Fitness Don't get caught up in the best method or the best diet plan just because you read it somewhere online. Always do what's the best for you. Do what allows you to follow your plan consistently and the one that keeps your mind happy. If the training or nutrition plan doesn't keep you happy you probably should drop it and try to hop on to some new gimmick again. Remember folks, fitness is not short term but the thing you want to keep up with for the longest period possible. Go achieve your fitness goals in 2019! 3. There are no hard-gainers. There are only the under-eaters. If you want to see yourself grow, the most important thing to do is to EAT! Learn how to eat solid food and learn how to eat it very often. Only going to the gym and doing bro-splits wouldn't help. Get you training structured and follow these eating tips. 1. Not Eating High Calorie Foods Most people make this mistake of eating the same foods which they were eating in cutting (losing fat) and maintenance (staying at same weight) phase. This is not actually a problem per se, as you can always increase the quantity of same foods in bulking. However, your stomach has only limited capacity to fill itself with food and you are better off filling it with foods that provide higher nutritional value or calories. For example- Replacing 100gm of chicken breast (commonly eaten during cutting) with 100gm of whole chicken/thighs will give you more calories as it has good fats along with almost same amount of protein. Other examples are - replacing low fat milk with high one, adding virgin olive oil and chia seeds to salads. © Thinkstock Images 2. Eating Just About Anything If not eating high calorie/eating enough is a problem, then we have other category of people who will simply stuff their face with anything they see in the name of bulking. Remember guys, a calculated approach with eating good foods is required in bulking. This HARDLY should include fries, burgers or regular trips to Mc Donald's. For so many people, bulking becomes an excuse to let loose on all the foods which they already know are bad for them. 3. Worrying About Abs TOO MUCH I assume most of you reading this article are naturals (not using steroids). As a natural, you need to understand that you will lose some of your 'aesthetics'. Come to terms with the fact that you midsection will get soft for the time you feed to grow. Little bit of fat gain on belly area during bulking is almost inevitable if you are doing it naturally. So don't stop eating is a steady surplus if you lose definition around the abs. © Youtube 4. Focusing Way Too Much On Stupid Supplements And Other Small Things Best magic supplement for muscle gain, best protein powder with 0 carb, how to train upper chest, how to train lower abs and what not; these are just frills. Guys, these things hardly ever matter. Listen. It won't make any difference if your protein powder has 0gm or 4gm carbs, unless you are competing and please leave the muscle anatomy of upper chest or lower abs for advanced bodybuilders. You have limited energy and time, invest it where it matters the most- heavy compound lifts and eating right. 4. 'Six-pack abs' are the so-called epitome of fitness. If you got them, you have made it. Well, that is the notion anyway these days that abs define fitness and people are ready to literally trade an arm and a leg put together just to get abs. Unfortunately, they will buy the most expensive fat burners and fat cutters to get there quick. They will do hundreds of ab crunches and dedicate entire training sessions just to train the abs. If your goal, too, is to get abs, then ensure that you do not end up making these same mistakes as others. Here is a list of what NOT to do: 1. Don't Just Do Bodyweight Work Your abs are like every other muscle and show a growth response to progressive overload. Doing bodyweight work is totally alright, but the catch here is it does not exclusively work after a point. That is because you become all the more efficient and fatigue resistant to it. Start including some weighted exercises using cables and machines and do them for sets of 8-12 reps. You can always include bodyweight work towards the end of it. © Pixabay 2. Do Not Keep Your Back Flat Though having a flat back while doing exercises like rows, deadlifts, squats and the like is a good habit, it can be counterproductive when training abs. When you contract the lower back to keep it straight, you cannot contract abs as well as they are a pair of antagonist muscles. By keeping a flat back, you prevent the abs from shortening. For your abs, you have to unlearn the otherwise healthy habit and curl your spine in a controlled manner during the shortening of the abs or doing the crunch and uncurling it when getting back to a neutral position. 3. Do Not Try To Finish Your Reps Quickly Quality over quantity! That is the rule for doing any exercise and performing reps. Do not target doing 100 or 200 or 300 reps in as little time as possible. Do not fly through that set of leg raises. For doing the reps as fast as possible, you need momentum, which often means that you are just moving and not training abs. Instead, do slow and controlled reps and make the reps count. 4. Do Not Activate Your Hip Flexors While Doing Leg Raises Hip flexors are the upper thigh muscles that attach to your pelvis whereas your abs just end above the pelvis. While doing leg raises, many people just end up training the hip flexors and not abs. How does this happen? When you start doing a leg raise, you will see that until a point your lower back remains straight. After a particular point (usually 60-degree flexion), your lower back starts curling. That is when your abs shorten and get involved. Many people do leg raises and only raise their legs to the point of hip flexion without even activating the abdominal muscles. Do not be that person. © Pixabay 5. Do Not Eat Away Your Progress You may have heard the saying that 'abs are made in the kitchen' and it is partly true. The reason I say partly true is that you also need to develop your abdominal muscles to have them in the first place. Along with developing the abdominals, you need to be at a lower body fat percentage to be able to see them. Usually around 10-12% body fat. So, you can do all the ab work in the gym and there is still a probability that you will not see them due to the body fat you are carrying. If you want those abs, eat accordingly. 5. Remember the Oppo R9 that took the world by storm with its chic metallic red look? This was way back in 2016 when the 'selfie' trend was at its peak. The Oppo R9 was the key player in the selfie revolution with its selfie shooter that supported multiple levels for flashlight and not to forget, the brilliant Beautify 4.0 Mode. From what we remember, at that point, when every other brand was focussing on silver, gold and rose tones, this Chinese smartphone maker shifted its focus to a classic red hue at an affordable budget range. Fast forward to 2017, which marked the entry of the Oppo R11, a smartphone that pioneered the crescent curved design offered at a mid-range price structure. If you ask us, we remember this smartphone for all the right reasons - a spectacular 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED panel, a powerful AI-capable Snapdragon 660 chipset and dual rear cameras with 20MP and 16MP sensors. Speaking of Oppo's 2017 lineup, we cannot ignore the dynamic R15 that went two steps further to introduce the ruby red and cosmic purple gradient colours to spoil us with choices. What's more? Think AI Scene Recognition, Game Acceleration Mode and a Super Full Screen that only made this smartphone bigger and bolder. Glam part aside, Oppo has made a constant effort to up the performance game of the R Series in terms of hardware. In fact, the R15 Pro is the ultimate celebration of that notion with its latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, large storage, impressive battery life and a technology that has quite literally been a life saviour, the VOOC Flash Charging that ensures you can charge your phone in a flash and it will last throughout the day. In India though, the last R Series that graced the showrooms was the R7 (Lite and Plus) in 2015. Yes, it has been a while! What's the good news? Well, the R Series is now making a huge comeback to India with the R17 Pro and we cannot really keep our calm for the big reveal. Are you as excited as we are?
  6. Guys, we see what brings you here. The fact that you have your eyes glued to your mobile phone/laptop's screen (desperately searching for an answer) makes it obvious that you are a novice to the tempting but tricky world of relationships, and that you are miserable. We understand how you had to stay up all night, doing all that you could to get your lady love to respond to your bazillion texts, all the while trying to figure out where you went wrong. While it is a well-established fact that most women can be a little puzzling at times, most men can be incredibly childish (and innocent) in their actions as well, kindling unnecessary (and often avoidable) complications. As we are in complete solidarity with you, we have put together a list of the most common rookie mistakes men make in their relationships, mistakes you could easily avoid making by adhering to the following five tips. 1. Don't Run Away From Conversations © Instagram/Virat Kohli While keeping shut and not uttering a single word may appear to be an easy resort for winding up a tiff gone bad, more often than not, it ends up adding fuel to the flames. So, if your girlfriend is mad at you (even over the minutest of things), make sure you do not run away from a conversation. Instead, settle all your issues over a healthy and productive discussion, and a warm cup of coffee. 2. Stop Keeping A Scorecard, Your Relationship Is NOT A FIFA Match Keeping a scorecard is possibly the biggest mistake you could make in your relationship. After all, a constant pinpointing of who did what will only turn your relationship into a (lousy) game of FIFA, one where you will be too occupied keeping tabs, thereby missing out on all of the fun. So forgive and forget her blunders, don't attach needless expectations to the things you do for her, and start living your relationship the way you're supposed to - in the present. 3. Do Not Take Her For Granted And Start Appreciating Her More © Instagram/ Neha Dhupia Whether it's surprise gifts being delivered at her doorstep or taking her out on a romantic dinner, most men make all sorts of efforts to have a woman fall head-over-heels in love in them. But as soon as that happens, they start getting a bit laidback. While you may not be doing this on purpose, you must take notice of it and start taking the right steps to reverse it. So, surprise her with the best of things, as making a gesture to appreciate what all she's done (and continues to do) for you will only make her love you more. Pro tip: Surprise your girl with this beauty box packed with A-grade skin and hair care products that she would absolutely love! Buy It Here 4. Don't Make Comparisons, Especially With Your Exes There is a reason why your ex is, in fact, your EX, and so you must not draw any comparisons between her and your girlfriend. It is good that your ex never got mad at you for leaving the toilet seat up or lashed out at you for leaving a wet towel on the bed, but she can never match what your current girlfriend has to offer. After all, if your ex was all that great, why aren't you still with her? 5. Show Her That The Relationship Has Longevity First of all, it goes without saying that, if you are too afraid of being in a committed relationship, then you really shouldn't be in a relationship in the first place. We are not talking about wedding vows and baby names, but reminding your girl that the relationship is going somewhere will definitely make it more serious and meaningful, and will pacify any fears she might harbour about you not taking the relationship (or her) all that seriously.
  7. The rumours of Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora Khan being in a relationship have been ripe for quite some time now. While, the two haven't really confirmed these rumours, they aren't denying it either and their recent outings prove that they don't care about it either. © Twitter Be it holding hands at the Milan airport, Arjun holding Malaika's hand and escorting her to the stage in India's Got Talent, or going out on a dinner date; Arjun and Malaika have been spotted together on many occasions. 9. Fights and tiffs are an inevitable part of any healthy relationship. After all, if you aren't having the occasional (and NOT habitual!) tiffs with your girlfriend, there's something seriously flawed with your relationship. But as healthy as those occasional fights can be, making up with your girlfriend after a fight can be an agonizingly painful exercise. And considering the onus will almost always lie upon you to make things right, this task becomes even more daunting. And so, to help you get out of such a predicament, here are four simple yet effective ways of making up with your girlfriend that will put you right back in her good books: 1) Give Her Time AND Space Before you do anything else to make up with your girlfriend, you need to absolutely make sure that you give her enough time AND space to get in the right frame of mind. After all, you won't be able to achieve ANYTHING, let alone fix her mood, when she's still reeling from the anger or annoyance of the tiff. So give her time to calm herself down, and you can then move on to the next step. Which brings us to... 2) Don't Shy Away From Having A Conversation If you give her the time and space to tone down her anger, chances are that she'd want to talk to you about the fight you guys had. Now, most guys tend to run away from conversations like these, primarily because they really don't know how to navigate their way through them without making things worse. Well, if you have the conversation with an open mind, actively LISTEN to what she's saying, and acknowledge your screw-ups, you'll be able to put forward your own point of view without turning her off. On the contrary, she'll be more likely to understand and listen to your grievances if you listen to hers. 3) Get Her A Gift © iDiva While we are not advocating for you to solely take the materialistic route, getting your girlfriend a gift, as a means of making up with her, does make for a sweet gesture that can help lighten up her mood and ease the tension. Avoiding cliche tropes like flowers or chocolates is advisable, especially since the entire point of gifting her something is to make up for a fight. So try and opt for a more personalized gift, or opt for something that you know she'd love to own. Pro Tip: If you are finding it a bit challenging to get her a gift, something which we are certain is a predicament that most guys out there will find themselves in, you can check out the iDiva Beauty Box for your girl. 4) Take Her Out To A Place She Will Love © Dharma Productions Finally, you should think about taking her out to a place she will love. This can be anything, from a movie she's been wanting to watch for the longest while or a restaurant that she absolutely loves to dine at, to even a nearby city or hill station that she's been wanting to explore. Apart from helping cheer up her mood, it will surely make her forget all about the fight you both had just a few hours (or days) ago!
  10. Apple is on a roll when it comes to earnings and revenue figures as the company recorded a 29 percent increase in its fourth fiscal quarter. The company earned its overall target of $62.9 billion and exceeded expectations for the quarter. © Apple Even though there has been no change when it comes to unit sales year on year, the company managed to increase its revenue thanks to higher prices for its products. The company introduced its first $1,000 iPhone last year and the price hike seems to be working when it comes to earnings. The company doubled down on its highly priced product strategy this year with the launch of iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. Apple also expanded its portfolio earlier this week with a brand new iPad Pro and MacBook devices. Apple has increased the price of the MacBook Air to $1,199 ($999 previously) and the same can be said about accessories like the 'Apple Pencil 2' and the Smart Keyboard. © Akshay Bhalla_MensXP The record revenue from higher priced products proves that Apple's customers don't care about the price hike and are still shopping Apple's offerings. According to Apple chief financial officer Luca Maestri, the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus had a combined 98 percent satisfaction rate among customers. This resulted in the iPhone raking in 59 percent of Apple's total revenue last quarter. Apple saw revenue increase not only in the products segment but also services. Services such as Apple Care, Apple Music, cloud services and the App Store also raked in $10 million in revenue last quarter. "Services are important not only because they are growing faster than some of Apple's traditional device categories, but also because services revenues grow based on usage, not new product sales," said Avi Greengart, research director at GlobalData. "As smartphones mature and consumers hold onto them longer, Apple can still improve the user experience — and make money — by making what you already have more useful.” According to a report by our sister website Economic Times, Apple's net profit in India jumped to Rs 896.3 crore for the fiscal ended March 2018. “The company saw its total income (including other income) rising about 12 per cent to Rs 13,097.6 crore in FY2018 from Rs 11,704.3 crore” the report said.
  11. At first glance, it might seem like it shouldn't be all that hard to dress up for the Diwali festivities, and so, naturally, the chances of you committing a fashion faux pas seem low. But that's a rookie mistake to make, especially since it takes just one misstep to majorly screw up an ethnic ensemble. And so, to help make sure you don't make any fashion blunders at the next Diwali party you attend, here are 4 fashion faux pas Indian men should avoid making at ALL costs this festive season: 1) Skip The Excessive Bling, You're Not Bappi Lahiri © Youtube While it's understandable that you'll be in a festive mood during Diwali celebrations, there's a fine line between wearing a little bling and downright transforming into Bappi Lahiri. Needless to say, you need to avoid the latter at all costs. So, make sure you skip the excessive bling and that you don't wear kurtas that make it seem like you're cosplaying your own wedding! 2) Get The Right Fit For Your Kurtas © Official Instagram/ Kartik Aaryan Even the best Diwali kurtas out there will be completely wasted if you don't get the right fit. Just like suits, how good a kurta looks on you depends a lot on how well it fits you. So, make sure you've got your Diwali kurta's fitting sorted out, and you'll be good to go. 3) If You Are Layering Up Your Outfit, Make Sure The Colours/Patterns Don't Clash © Official Instagram/Shahid Kapoor One of the best ways you could possibly ace the fashion game this Diwali season, is by layering up your outfit. Opting for Nehru jackets or ethnic waistcoats will make for a great Diwali attire. But layering up your outfits will ONLY work if you make sure that the colours or patterns don't clash with each other. While it's always good to be inventive and a rule-breaker, it's also important to make sure you don't go overboard by opting for clashing and/or uncomplimentary colour combinations. 4) DO NOT Pair Your Kurta With Sneakers © Official Instagram/ Shahid Kapoor While this one should be incredibly obvious, it's surprising just how many people actually end up committing this glaring fashion faux pas. I don't care how cool the type of sneakers you're rocking may be, or how cool you think they may look, it's NEVER okay to team them up with your Diwali kurtas! 12. Social media is where the current generation of tech-savvy and information-hungry junkies live. We breathe in the latest updates in the form of push notifications and tend to our serious cases of FOMO with the help of social networking websites. Not just that, the social media has also helped us in sorting out our need for instant gratification, by the means of bringing our every need within the reach of our palm. Whether it is food or entertainment we seek, it's all available at the click of a button. With as many as 3.196 billion global social media users, and almost 42% penetration in 2018, as per a 'We Are Social' special report, this power has also helped to change the lives of many commoners like ourselves. These people have explored the potential of social media to the fullest and emerged as the greatest social media celebs our generation has ever seen. For some, life has changed overnight, while for others it took a little longer. But they are here now, and they are causing quite a stir online. Here are the success stories of 5 young social media celebs of recent times. 1. Ashish Chanchlani © Instagram YouTuber and Viner, Ashish needs no introduction. It was a short video by David Lopez that changed the life of this engineering graduate. He initially started out as a motivational speaker of sorts, but it was his comic vines that earned him crazy popularity. With close to 8 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, his videos are hilarious with a lot of cuss words that make up his earnest expressions on the camera. He hails Akshay Kumar as his role model and is said to have started his YouTube channel as a means to accomplish his desire to act. Youngsters across the country love his work, and his online presence keeps on growing bigger and bigger. 2. Srishti Dixit © Instagram It was probably her take on the iconic character of Poo from K3G, played by Kareena Kapoor, that changed the Kanpur girl's life forever. In the video shared by BuzzFeed India, not only do we come across Srishti's acting skills, but also come to love her comic timing. And just like that, Srishti became internet's new celeb overnight. Her wit, brutal honesty and authenticity make her a relatable personality that her audience can instantly connect to. What's more, she has gone on to appear on various shows and shared the stage with prominent personalities like Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. More recently, she also graced the pages of Verve magazine with Cyrus Broacha, his dog and her cat Patches. 3. Amit Bhadana © Instagram With over 11 million subscribers, Bhadana is one of India's most popular YouTubers, perhaps second to only Bhuvan Bam. The 24-year-old Gurjar boy from Delhi is popular for his honest and uber hilarious takes on relationships and intricacies of people's personality. With a bachelor's degree in Law, Amit had a hard time convincing his parents that YouTube is what he wanted to do full time. What's more, his parents were clueless about his endeavours when he started out. In an interview with HT, he said that it was his online popularity that finally gave him away. An absolute hit with young Indians, people cannot seem to get enough of his funny bones. 4. Tushar Lall © Instagram The mastermind behind one of the greatest musical revolutions to have gripped India in recent years, Lall is the man behind 'The Indian Jam Project'. The idea was to bring Indian classical musicians onto one platform and recreate popular movie and TV scores. A Music Production student from Dubspot, New York, Lall always wanted to bring together Indian classical music into the contemporary music scene. When BuzzFeed and MTV Indies picked up his first raw take on the musical fusion with 'Game of Thrones' opening theme song cover, he became an internet sensation overnight. The Indian Jam Project's work has caught the attention of prominent personalities such as Emmy award-winning composer Michael Price, actor and novelist Mark Gatiss, and Hollywood film score composer Clint Mansell, among others. Some of his covers of cult scores, such as the theme music of 'Harry Potter' and 'Star Wars' have gotten them a lot of eyeballs (and ears). 5. Kenneth 'Kenny' Sebastian © Instagram One of India's most beloved comic stars, Kenny's USP lies in his ability to satirise the trivialities of the Indian middle class, thrive on the idiosyncrasies of the underdog and bring out the relatable side of the most mundane aspects of human existence. His rendezvous with stand-up comedy happened by chance. It was during his days in college that he decided to participate in a stand-up competition being held by IIT-Mumbai during its Mood Indigo Festival. Guess what? Not only did he win the competition and the cash money, but also got his first break to perform at the prestigious 'The Comedy Store'. With close to 2 million subscribers on YouTube and a huge fan following outside of the virtual space. He's a super talented musician besides being a filmmaker and stand-up comedian. The guy holds a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts and is a trained painter too. How talented! Inspiring people, aren't they?
  13. Horror movies and shows are not everyone's cup of tea, I would know, I'm a huge wimp when it comes to them. But, I feel like there is a huge amount of people who love to get scared out of their wits and look out for new horror stuff to watch, I mean that's why people keep making them. So, for people who enjoy the genre, they're always on the lookout for new stuff to watch and probably believe the scarier the better. And now, Netflix is here to fulfil everyone's wishes with some extremely scary stuff, that is literally not for the faint of heart. I'm guessing everyone has heard about the new Netflix Original – 'The Haunting of Hill House' – because everyone can't stop tweeting about it, because well, it's a little too scary. But, I guess since it's Halloween, 'tis the season to be spooked. But, first here's a little background on the show, it's loosely based on Shirley Jackson's 1959 gothic novel, 'The Haunting of Hill House'. It follows a “group of siblings who grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country, as tragedy forces them -- now adults -- back to the house to confront the ghosts of the past.” Here's the trailer- With people saying that they threw up and passed out because of the show, to some even claiming that they got an anxiety attack, it's safe to say this show is redefining the meaning of 'Netflix and Chill'. So, here are some tweets from those who have watched the show. If you have watched it already, you'll have people who understand and relate to you or if you haven't, then you get a fair idea of what you can expect and be prepared for it. Okay, then. The Haunting of Hill House on @NetflixUK is one of the most terrifying, nail biting, hide behind the couch, don't even breath, I'm going to pass out from fear things I have ever watched. In. My. Life. — Baby Jane (@babyjanequeen) October 13, 2018 Well, it's worth a watch. The haunting of hill house, if you like horror/thrillers you gotta watch it. If you dont you still gotta watch it! Its super well made and very good at telling a story. pic.twitter.com/eTr0vHjMd7 — ole (@oleee_96) October 16, 2018 Don't watch it before sleeping. The Haunting of Hill House was brilliant but terrifying and I'll never sleep again — Maddie Taylor (@maddie__taylor) October 14, 2018 A recurring feeling. Sometimes. pic.twitter.com/QS4vxU99Jo — Erin, PA-C (@tricoastie) October 16, 2018 Don't know what scene and don't want to find out. okay im watching the haunting of hill house and at first i thought i was going crazy bc i kept seeing faces in the shadows or continuity errors of bodies standing in windows but now im positive after this scene that it's absolutely purposeful and its terrifying to the bone pic.twitter.com/fAJ6WyNo1m — courtney van ness ð»ð§¡ð¸ð®ð·ð (@cjfeisty) October 15, 2018 Is it? The Haunting of Hill House has blown me away. The old haunted house tale is given a psychological revamp for the modern viewer: this is by far the most complex and complete horror series of its time. Compiled with eeringly rich, dark cinematic shots. #Netflix #ShirleyJackson — Nayab Chaudhry (@NayabChaudhry) October 15, 2018 Kinda want to watch it. HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE: Genuinely scary and creepy (a few jumpscares made me yell out loud), but it's the attention to character, the drama that unfolds within this family, that makes this show truly special. Great performances, stunning direction. Tearjerker. Don't miss it — Matthew Simmons (@MattSimmonsBSU) October 14, 2018 Do you really love it? Haunting of hill house is making me terror vomit in joyful confusion. So I love it. — SpookyLukeyð» (@RupaulFTompkins) October 13, 2018 Someone start a support group. Who is watching the Haunting of Hill House because I need to talk about it , potentially in the middle of the night when I can't sleep because I'm now afraid of the dark — Katelyn âï¸âï¸ (@Now_Voyageur) October 15, 2018 Yeah, you should stop. It's going to give me a fucking anxiety attack — suzanne (@boy_vomit) October 14, 2018 Don't watch it at night! 14. It's been 21 years since the classic Winamp media player was released for Windows, and it seems like the audio app will be making a return next year. It will be re-launching in the form of a mobile app that will be able to run all your music, podcasts and radio shows all in one place, according to TechCrunch. Radionomy's CEO Alexandre Saboundjian, the company that bought the application from AOL said: "There will be a completely new version next year, with the legacy of Winamp but a more complete listening experience. You can listen to the MP3s you may have at home, but also to the cloud, to podcasts, to streaming radio stations, to a playlist you perhaps have built.” © YouTube This new version of Winamp will be coming to both iOS and Android platforms while Winamp is already present in the Google Play Store. Having said that, the new version is expected to give a completely different experience and will also be updated on the desktop. Winamp faced tough competition from mobile apps that led to its decline, as most of its user base was on desktop computers. Saboundjian claims that the mobile app will have everything in one place as currently, mobile audio services are currently fractured and inconvenient. © Nullsoft As of now, there are no details as to what services would be a part of the Winamp app. It could work similarly to the Sonos app and provide services from different applications such as Spotify, Apple Music, Google Music Library and others. We can't wait to relive the good old glory days once the application is released and see what services the new application has to offer. For more information, stay tuned to MensXP Technology. 15. It's 'Bigg Boss' season in full swing and while towards the third week we have a few favourites, it's too early to rule out who will last till the end. One main question that comes up in our minds every year while we watch the show is about the money quotient. Ever wondered how much is Anup Jalota or Sreesanth making this season? Well, according to various sources, a tentative list of how much who is making is out there. So let's have a look: 1. Salman Khan Starting with the host himself! According to reports, he is getting anywhere between Rs 13 and 14 crore per week (yes, please gasp for breath), and justifying it with his presence every weekend. © Colors 2. Anup Jalota Turns out that the Bhajan king is getting his cake and eating it too! The singer is apparently being paid close to Rs 45 lakhs every week! Erm, yes! © Colors 3. Dipika Kakar Simar from the Telly world might be finding it a little tough to find a ground for now but reportedly, she is earning close to Rs 15 lakhs per week. © Colors 4. Karanvir Bohra And Neha Pendse As per various reports, both of these actors are making around Rs 20 lakhs per week for this season. © Colors 5. Sreesanth Surprisingly Sree is raking in around Rs 5 lakhs only per week. © Colors The season so far has been slow and cold in terms of drama and 'masala' but with time, it is surely bound to boil up as we know from our previous experiences.
  16. If you play games on the Sony PlayStation 4 you may have come across a huge obstacle when buying games digitally —credit cards. The PlayStation digital store currently only supports Indian credit cards for purchasing games digitally and has no support for Debit Cards. Indian Gamers tend to not have access to a credit card which made it harder for everyone to purchase a game digitally or even renew PlayStation Plus. © Twitter Finally, Sony has made adjustments to their strategy and introduced PlayStation Network Cards for Indian gamers. These cards are now officially available online on GamesTheShop (Online and Offline stores) which can be purchased with a debit card or even cash. This will enable players to add funds to their digital wallets, buy PlayStation Plus, Game Add-Ons like FUT points and even full games. Voucher codes are available in the denominations of: • Rs. 500 • Rs. 1000 • Rs. 1500 • Rs. 2000 • Rs. 2500 • Rs. 3000 • Rs. 3500 • Rs. 4000 • Rs. 4500 The ability for gamers to buy digital codes and wallet top ups could boost sales of games and digital sales in India. Currently, India has around 2.5-3 lakh users that can take full advantage of these prepaid cards. Having said that, Indian gamers prefer to buy physical copies of games so that they can re-sell it after finishing the game. We're not entirely sure how this will pan out however it is a welcomed move for gamers who prefer to buy games digitally and have access on Day 1. © Sony Would you be buying Digital prepaid cards to buy games, DLC and other add-ons from the PlayStation Store? Let us know in the comments how this would affect you.
  17. Millennial. The noun has somehow crept in to become a middle name of sorts, at least for those of us who walked the face of this earth between the early 1980s to late 90s, for the very first time. We are the generation that stood witness to the antics of Swami and his friends in 'Malgudi Days', the generation that was thrilled to witness the marvellously entertaining dance performances on 'Boogie Woogie' and kept its eyes glued to the TV screens when 'Hum Paanch' aired on Zee TV, only to break into peals of laughter after every other punchline. Those were the simpler times, made up of carefree days when the thoughts of playtime and games dominated most of our days, and the only responsibilities we were expected to shoulder, were to remember the math formulae and the rules of English grammar. We were the first to enjoy all the latest facilities that greeted our times and had a much better head start in life as opposed to our parents. © Yash Raj Productions Cut to present, we are also called GenY now, and most of us are in the prime of our lives. However, with the said head start in our life, also comes greater expectations and that is something that's dawning upon us, even as we settle down for a few casual drinks with our mates these days. Our times have been different and we have come a long way since that of our previous generation. Our parents belong to a time when the “rules” were much more stringent and traditional ways of functioning were the norm. The society was less forgiving when it came to challenging traditions, and life, in a lot of ways, was pretty straitjacketed, that moved forward on ancient practices and beliefs to a large extent, even when enlightenment through education and exposure had begun to actively dribble in. © dharma productions Truth be told, even today most of us are invariably tied to the old ways but this is GenY and apart from being known for our resilience, we are also known for debunking the norms and living by our own rules. Here are 5 ways how GenY men have made up for the missteps of our previous generation. 1. Taking The Plunge Be it the stream of education we want to pursue, or the kind of career we wish to work on, GenY men have found a way to step out of the comfort of the traditional options that were made available to us by the previous generation. We have come to challenge their understanding of what qualifies as the best from the rest. © UTV Motion Pictures Young men today are not only opting for varied educational degrees but are also pursuing their career goals in such areas previously unheard of. That being said, they have proven time and again how old need not always be the only gold we set our eyes on. A gazillion success stories and life lessons later, they're paving wider paths for the next generation. 2. Freedom & Free Will We aren't trying to imply that our dads weren't free, in the basic sense of the word. Instead, what we're saying is that their notion of freedom was still restricted to the acceptable range of freeness set by the society at large. As for free will, we all know how the ones who dared to work on their own terms were labelled as rebels and often treated as an outcast. © dharma productions Today, however, young men have turned the meaning of these words around to really live a free life based on their own ideals and execute their free will to carve out a life, that suits the need of the time. Whether we look at men claiming their sexuality or choosing to stay in a live-in, today we will find myriad ways of how men are rewriting the meaning of freedom and free will. 3. Bending Gender Roles This one is perhaps one of the biggest changes many GenY men have initiated and we're sure women around the world are taking note of it. From shedding traditional gender roles to finding ways of uplifting the women around them, this generation doesn't believe men should be the sole breadwinners of the family or that women belong in the kitchen. © eros international From sharing duties around the house to active co-parenting and even turning into a full-time house-husband, men have shown the world that all the “traditional” gender roles are restrictive and unjust in more ways than one. 4. Discarding Socially Degenerate Dogmas This is something we can all be very proud of. We have not only stood up against a lot of injustices the society propagated in the name of caste and religion, but we have also been able to move away from their restricted notions of what makes up a perfect, sociable community. © Colour Yellow Productions Men today have constantly raised their voice for inclusiveness and ensured that those who have been marginalised for the strangest reasons, feel a part of the rest of the mainstream society by discarding degenerate social dogmas. 5. Thriving Entrepreneurial Instincts Another aspect that makes GenY very different from the previous one, is the way we tackle monetary matters. It's no longer just about assimilation, but today we are looking for better ways of multiplying our money. GenY doesn't believe in playing it safe just because there's money involved. Instead, we're choosing to risk all our hard earned money to create something larger than life with it, something the previous generation always warns us against. We no longer find solace in traditional jobs or family businesses but instead, wish to see what money can do for us. We have come a long way, won't you say?
  18. The interesting thing about sunscreens and sunblocks is that, we men don't use them religiously, despite them being the most important products that we should use. 20. A lot of beginners start with their fitness plans every single day. The motivation is often sky high with a good chance that the commute from the house to the gym is done with 'Eye of the Tiger' being played in the background. While trying to get into shape is a fantastic thing to do, these beginners or newbies also have little to no information about fitness. And it is not for them to blame, everyone starts that way. Let's look at five common beginner mistakes and how you could avoid doing them? 1. Going Too Heavy When you first hit the weights room, it is a bit intimidating. And then once you start hitting the weights, it is quite natural that you want to lift the heaviest weight as soon as possible as it gives a little stroke to your ego and newfound confidence. The problem is that when you just begin, your form and technique are still not sharp. The chances of you going wrong and getting injured are higher. Even advanced lifters suffer injuries due to poor technique at times, making form and technique very important for everyone. And as you are lifting for the first time, you will get really sore if you try to lift too many weights in one session. This soreness will keep you out of the gym longer than usual before you can go in and do your best again. It is always better to lift moderate-heavy loads and be regular with your sessions and focusing on your form and technique, thus getting in more work. 2. Too Much Cardio Another mistake most beginners make is that they include too much cardio in their routines as they have a mistaken notion, many times compounded by misinformed fitness professionals, saying you need to do exclusively or predominantly cardio if your goal is to get in shape. Want To Get In Shape? Lift The Damn Weights Cardio should be there to work your cardiovascular system and should be supplemented with your workout routine. It should not be your workout ALONE. My recommendations are 2-3 sessions of LISS (low-intensity steady state) cardio for 20 - 30 minutes OR 1-2 sessions of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) for 10-15 minutes if your goal is building a good physique. © YouTube 3. Not Enough Protein Lifting weights induce muscle breakdown and give your body the signal to build new protein aka muscle. But, you need to eat sufficient protein to be able to build and synthesize new muscle tissue. One common mistake most beginners make is to not eat enough protein in their diets. Aim for at least 1.4 to 1.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight if your goal is to build muscle. Read this 4. Missing Your Sleep Lifting all the weights, doing your cardio sessions, eating your protein, following a good diet, etc. will only help a little if your rest and recovery are not on point. These days, due to all the Netflix and social media, we tend to stay glued to our electronic devices and get very little sleep. This affects our recovery and subsequent performance. Not just inside but also outside the gym. Combine that with fatigue and there comes a perfect recipe for disaster. Beginner or advanced, aim to get 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. Read this 5. Too Much Information It is very easy to find yourself between a lot of noise when you are just getting started with your fitness journey. Nearly everyone you meet is an 'expert' and will contradict the previous person's piece of advice. It becomes too easy to get lost and lose track altogether. A good way to navigate this would be to find ONE credible source of information and only listen to what they have to say. Find this ONE person by doing a little bit of research and check if they have a track record of giving good information and results to people out there. Bonus - Buying into the supplement hype © YouTube Today, a supplement for nearly everything exists that promises magical results without you having to do much by yourself. The truth is, there are very less number of supplements that actually work and provide any benefits. Read this Do not buy into this supplement hype and waste your money. I hope with this piece I save you from making the mistakes most beginners make and have you fast-tracked on your way to Gainsville!

'A priest with a haunted past' and 'a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows' are sent to investigate the murder by the Vatican. Together they solve the murder mystery, travel through dingy dark paths and finally come face-to-face with the demonic nun. Directed by Corin Hardy and written by Gary Dauberman, 'The Nun' is releasing tomorrow.
  22. Indian men are a funny breed. While most of them never shy away from championing themselves as grooming experts, an alarmingly large number of them still end up making some of the most amateurish and rookie mistakes you could possibly think of, Whether it's because of a lack of awareness, sheer ignorance, or just laziness - there are many men out there who continue to make basic mistakes that end up hampering their grooming game. So on that note, here are 5 amateur grooming mistakes that most Indian men NEED to stop committing, if they ever want to come across as being desirable. 1) Investing In The Wrong Trimmer For Their Beards © Unsplash The trimmer you'll be using is perhaps the single most important tool in your grooming artillery. After all, without a premium trimmer at your disposal, you'll never be able to properly groom and maintain your facial hair. Which is why it's probably so surprising to see so many Indian men end up buying the wrong trimmers for themselves. When looking for the best beard trimmer for yourself, you have to keep two important factors in mind - the type of beard you are growing and whether or not you want a rotary or foil trimmer. Pro tip: Brands such as Nova, Philips and Havells curate some of the best trimmers for men out there, and that too at affordable rates. 2) Using The Wrong Skin Care And Beard Care Products © Unsplash Since men often lack the expertise to identify grooming essentials that are best suited for their skin and beards, they end up investing in the wrong products. This is a rookie mistake, but one that can have alarming consequences. After all, if you end up using a face wash that is specifically designed for dry skin, while you yourself harbour oily skin, it may cause harmful effects on your skin. Similarly, using a beard oil designed for longer beards on your stubble is not advisable. So make sure you get only those grooming and wellness products that are suitable for your skin and facial hair. 3) Harbouring An Unkempt Beard Or Mooch © Pexels Growing a long and bushy beard is fine, as long as its groomed and kempt. Harbouring unkempt facial hair will only achieve one thing - make you look incredibly undesirable and homeless. As such, you need to make sure that - regardless of its length - you are always harbouring a well-groomed beard and mooch, if you want to leave a lasting (positive!) impression that is. 4) Ignoring Nose And Ear Hygiene © Official Instagram/Ranveer Singh Many people believe that grooming your facial hair is only confined to taking care of your beard and mooch. In reality, ensuring that your ear and nose hairs are trimmed is just as important (and hygienic!) as maintaining your facial hair. So when you are stocking up on grooming essentials for your beard and mooch, don't forget to get nose and ear hair trimmers as well. Pro tip: Some of the best Philips trimmers for men out there come equipped with nose and ear trimmers/combs as well. 5) Following The Crowd © Official Instagram/Shahid Kapoor It's not a hard and fast rule that what may look good on one person will look good on you as well. It's one thing to appreciate a celebrity's beard and mooch game, and another thing altogether to try and ape it. After all, there are many different factors that decide how good (or bad!) a specific beard will look on you ranging from your facial shape to the speed at which your hair grows out. So don't be a sheep and cultivate your own sense of style.
  23. We've heard the wise say that life is unpredictable, but what they did not tell us was that this isn't just true about our life's final moments, but can even be applied to the most mind-blowing moments we live to experience in life. © Instagram This is the reason why every philosopher tells us to live in the moment and make the most of it. While we are busy tapping on our phones, clicking selfies or bending our fingers on a laptop at work, there are people who are taking this advice seriously and charging ahead with their hearts set on doing the right thing, by doing what they do best. Why? Because he says, “ My mother's love means the world to me, so I often bring it up in my music.”
  24. Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj who is known for his movies, scripts and music has once again left us in awe of his filmmaking skills with the trailer of his latest film 'Pataakha'. The intense portrayal of sibling rivalry is gritty, complex and hilarious in 'Pataakha'. It is compared to the violent and turbulent relationship of that of India and Pakistan, and honestly, he's not exaggerating! With every movie, Bhardwaj brings out a story that is different from our mainstream cinema. He is not just a brilliant director but someone who understands the essence of what a movie has to be about and how a story needs to be presented on the big screen. © Twitter Earlier there were reports that the director had a great script in mind and was in talks with Priyanka Chopra for the same. Finally, the deal is sealed, and the movie is all set to go on the floors next year. Just like most of his movies, this one is said to be an adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic play 'Twelfth Night'. © Twitter When asked about it, Vishal said, “Priyanka also wants to work with me. And we are working with each other. Hopefully, we will start the film next year.” © Twitter Priyanka and Vishal have already collaborated earlier on '7 Khoon Maaf' and 'Kaminey', and we got to admit that they work amazingly together. This news has got us excited and we can't wait for this duo to create something extraordinary once again.
  25. 2018 seems to be the year Saif Ali Khan reinvented himself in a way. He was always good looking, he proved his mettle in acting with some amazing performances in 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Love Aajkal' but still there was always that sabbatical that his work took, and we'd find him missing in action for long spells. However, it seems like the world fell in love with Sartaj Singh so much that now he is all we talk about. © Netflix After basking in the success of 'Sacred Games' and umpteen interviews later, the 'Nawab' is back to work and is putting his talent to an amazing use with a new look that he is donning for his next role. Saif was recently spotted in the avatar of a 'Naga Sadhu' while shooting for Navdeep Singh's 'Hunter'. Saif Ali Khan in Sadhu look for Navdeep Singh's #Hunter... The movie is about a fight between two brothers and he is playing a pivotal role in the project. Also, he will soon resume shooting for the second season of 'Sacred Games' so it seems like it will be a busy year for him and us as an audience as well.
