  1. The internet is truly a bizarre place and we say that because threes a race to one-up that bizarreness, everyday with new and upcoming trends on social media. The new trends that follow are weird and strange challenges, which take over the social domain like a hot piece of chocolate. Some are rather dangerous and the rest just strange. We've been on the receiving end of a lot of challenges that have come and gone. From the Kiki challenge to the tide-pod challenge, everything has been tried and tested, even in India and now we have a new challenge doing the rounds, which can be dangerous but it's a quite senseless TBH. (c)Twitter The 'Shell On Challenge' is going viral right now and taking the internet by storm as we speak. It basically involves teenagers challenging each other to eat the food along with its packaging, whether it's natural food or processed. Sounds strange right? Well, it really is! (c)Reddit Videos have emerged on the Internet where kids have taken the challenge a bit too seriously and have eaten banana's with their peels intact, lemon zest, egg shells, candy wrappers and plastic packaging on food for fun. I mean it may seem fun to these kids but it can be quite dangerous if what they're consuming is plain plastic! y'all eat banana with the shell on or off?? pic.twitter.com/y2X6uTWwEF — emily jane (@emilyjanefrank) 14 April 2019 A kid in the US, who is a student in high school tried to follow up with this challenge by biting off a packet containing carrots, in order to ingest the 'shell' or the plastic it was wrapped in. The video of him doing the same caught on and has now gone viral. 'Shell on' challenge is the latest dangerous Snapchat trend among teens https://t.co/MtNA8NhLCT pic.twitter.com/9vmQMcnI85 — New York Post (@nypost) 17 April 2019 He also made a statement saying “It just looks funny, because it's not really a shell but people are calling things shells. I guess that is what's funny about it,” People from all over the world have reacted to the challenge and most of them aren't really amused by it as it's clearly the worst possible way to have fun! I think eating food with “the shell on” could be the next big college sport. Gonna start scouting for talent. — Jon Berger (@bergerbomb44) 17 April 2019 I wondered why Boomers judged GenZ until I saw a thread about the “shell on challenge” After 12 videos of high schoolers eating bananas with the peel on... I can finally say I relate to the Boomers. — Devin Spinks (@devin1096) 13 April 2019 If they are that stupid then perhaps they deserve it. — Ester Evans (@EsterEvansie) 17 April 2019 Lack of parenting and needing attention is turning our country into fucking morons! Social media and the hope for instant fame doesn't help either! — Mike (@mikelawrence813) 17 April 2019 Kids are so fucking stupid nowadays. — ro-co (@roco4033) 17 April 2019 So the next time you see a kid around you eating a banana or a pineapple with its 'shell' intact, don't freak out. Just maybe tell them there are far better ways to have fun than slip in to and be part of stranger things.
  2. Remember the good old days when you used to make excuses just to avoid exams? Yes, they never used to work for the most part, but do you know what kids are ready to do these days to skip an exam? Take down the entire freaking wi-fi network. That's right, two 14-year-old high school students of Secuacus High School in New Jersey, USA, decided to go all in and bring down the entire Wi-Fi network of their school so students could not access the online curriculum. If only they had put so much effort into studying for the exam! © Unsplash After talking to other students at the school, the authorities found out that the duo was using a program or app to attack the school's network and cause it to crash or become too congested to be used by the others. NJ.com's report says, “Students interviewed Monday afternoon believe the boys used a Wi-Fi interrupter program, or an app, to send so much traffic to the routers that the system would crash, which ultimately caused connection failures when students tried to log on, do class work or take exams on their computers.” It has also been brought to notice that the duo was taking requests from friends to bring down the Wi-Fi. However, it is not entirely clear if they did it as a favor or they did it with intentions of making money. The Secaucus Police Department said both students were charged with computer criminal activity and conspiracy to commit computer criminal activity.
  3. Striking the perfect balance of casual and formal at work especially in the Summer can be difficult. Besides, at work, you don't want to make blunders especially when it comes to what you wear. So, here are some fashion mistakes that you might be making at work and probably should avoid: 1. Too Many Accessories © Getty Images Bold accessories and accent pieces are important to give an added flair to the outfit, but remember to not go overboard with trinkets. We recommend counting up all your accessories — patterned shirt, colourful tie, pocket square, cuff links, bracelets, rings, funky socks, etc. Too many accessories look rather too funky, especially in a professional setting. Limiting your ensemble to 3 or 4. The more restrained you are, the more your bolder accessories will shine. 2. Oversized Clothes © Getty Images Baggy clothes don't hide fat contrary to popular belief. Baggy clothes basically do nothing good for you. It's better to get rid of them. They look out of place in a professional setting. And baggy clothes will make you feel super hot in the Summer and you'll be sweating in no time. 3. A Visible Undershirt © Twitter Just like your boxers, the undershirt should never be visible. If you like leaving a couple of buttons undone, opt for a v-neck undershirt so that it stays hidden from sight. 4. Baggy Trousers © Getty Images Baggy trousers do two things well: they make you look shorter and they make you look sloppy. Also, they get ripped from the bottom easily. Try for trousers with a break at the ankle. 5. Undone Shirt Buttons © Getty Images Wearing a shirt buttoned up all the way can look odd without a tie, however, an unbuttoned shirt with more than buttons looks sleazy and unprofessional. 6. Satin Shirt © Getty Images Wearing satin shirts is like inviting a fashion disaster in the Summer. Not only are you going to sweat profusely but you'll also stink and the worst part is that it'll all be visible, because satin shows.
  4. It takes more than mere skills to face the camera and enact a scene based on a narration and some lines peeking at you from between the white sheets of paper dabbed in black ink. It takes more than a few years of training at a film school, or the sweat and tears you expend backstage for every play that's presented in the theatres. There is a lot more that goes into the making of an actor. The talent and skills are but mere prerequisites in this line of work. So even before the cameras start rolling and the call to action is barked, it is an actor's struggles, continuous reinvention and unceasing passion for the craft that makes an actor, one who is worthy of spending our precious three hours over. © Instagram Irrfan Khan undoubtedly tops the list when it comes to actors who are worth every single 'paisa' of our money, and every minute of our time that we spend watching him spill his magic on-screen. Irrfan's journey in the Hindi film industry is a psychedelic, riveting montage of the many characters he portrayed to perfection throughout an acting career spans over 30 long years! From a meager role of a letter writer in Mira Nair's 'Salaam Bombay!' in 1988, to playing a jilted husband with a streak of wickedness about him Abhinay Deo's 'Blackmail' (2018), Irrfan's journey in Bollywood has almost all the shades of the colour (read acting) palette to his credit. © Instagram The big guns of the industry lost a bit of their sheen against the glory of this actor who persistently worked his way up the ladder. From often being a comic relief or kept at the sidelines as a prop to the larger storyline, he made his own path with titles such as 'Haasil', 'Maqbool', 'Life In A Metro' and 'Yeh Saali Zindagi' under his belt. However, it would be the 2012 release 'Paan Singh Tomar' that would finally bring Irrfan Khan his due in the Bollywood industry. Every actor and directed stopped and took notice of the actor who brought soldier-turned-bandit Paan Singh Tomar to life on the silver screen. © Instagram Soon enough people fell in love with this ruggedly handsome man, raw around the edges and bearing a sheepish smile, who was running his own race. The dark horse was finally here, and people simply couldn't get enough of the underdog making it to the “elite” category. 'The Lunchbox' was another massive win for the terrific actor, followed by marvels such as 'Qissa', 'Piku' 'Talvar', 'Madaari', 'Hindi Medium', and 'Qarib Qarib Singlle' that allowed us to witness and appreciate the actor who was changing the face of Hindi cinema one film at a time. © Instagram The wheels of fortune turned for Irrfan and this time it was not just Bollywood, but Hollywood too that wanted more of him on-screen. Hollywood had found the modern day actor for all things Indian. However, the roles Irrfan was being offered were not average, with limited screen presence like his predecessors. Irrfan bagged diverse, meaty roles in big Hollywood films such as 'The Warrior', 'Namesake', 'Jurassic World' 'Life of Pi' and 'The Inferno'. Now they say, with all the good comes a little of the bad, and the same came true for Irrfan. Last year in March, Irrfan announced that he had been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour and left for London soon after to undergo treatment for his condition. © Instagram All through his treatment the actor kept his fans and well-wishers updated about his condition and the progress he had made with the treatment. The past year was also the time when Irrfan had the time to introspect and come to terms with the bigger truth of life. Irrfan not only accepted the vulnerability of human life, but he was also vocal about the fact that at the end of the day we are nothing but human beings on this journey called life. © Instagram After a length of a long, arduous year, the 'Karwaan' actor officially announced that he is back in the game after kicking cancer to the curb - stronger than ever, and grateful for a second chance at life. He took to Twitter and shared that, “Maybe somewhere in the pursuit of winning, we forget how much it means to be loved. In our vulnerability, we are reminded. As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love and support, it soothed me in my process of healing. So I travel back to you, thanking you from the bottom of my heart.” © Instagram The picture that accompanied this post warmed our hearts, and we are equally thankful to get one of our best back. All of us are looking for his next film to hit the screens ASAP, and for now it seems there won't be a long wait. Irrfan's journey is proof that once a winner, always a winner.
  5. Marvel is honestly just weird. For months, there was nothing, literally nothing, not even a name for the movie, but now they just keep bombarding us with so many things related to 'Avengers: Endgame' without giving us time to emotionally deal with it. The newest teaser trailer dropped showing all kinds of reunions and everyone was just like 'this is not a drill, it's happening' when we saw Tony Stark and Steve Rogers reuniting and shaking hands. They haven't seen each other since 'Captain America: Civil War' and finally got a reunion that they deserve. It sucks because of that giant purple grape but at least it happened. This particular one-minute teaser was the most impactful, at least for me, just because it had so much happening. Every second was like a very important detail that will be a crucial part of the movie. So obviously it makes sense that people still haven't been able to deal with it and are still very emotional. 6. Since yesterday morning, the entire Jonas clan - Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra, Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner - have been giving everyone vacation goals and also making everyone jealous by relentlessly posting videos and pictures partying on a yacht in Miami. Before, there was a sneak-peek of them drunk dancing to Bollywood songs towards the end of Nick's video when 'Mera Wala Dance' started playing for like 4 seconds. That was enough for desi people to latch on to and be excited. Sucker vibes in Miami. pic.twitter.com/uTTARhpudg — Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) March 25, 2019 Now, it looks like Priyanka saw that and decided to give everyone something more - a full video with everyone dancing to 'Tareefan' from 'Veere Di Wedding'. View this post on Instagram When Bollywood music kicks in.. #tareefan #kareenakapoor @sonamkapoor @badboyshah â¤ï¸ @nickjonas @joejonas @sophiet A post shared by Priyanka Chopra Jonas (@priyankachopra) on Mar 26, 2019 at 8:45am PDT You can take the desi girl out of India, but apparently, you can't take India out of the desi girl. Also, now we for sure know PeeCee was responsible for making the playlist. I would honestly just like a video of Nick, Joe, and Sophie trying to pronounce 'Tareefan', it would be hilarious. Everyone was excited in comments, you know how Indians get when there's something desi somewhere. Nick jiju has spoken. Sonam and Rhea Kapoor are also excited. Yes, the perfect time for that. Nick is lost in the music. The biggest takeaway! Yes, it's time, they need to go.
  7. If you want to build muscle, there is a chance your gym guruji tells you this: 1. Train to failure ALL the time 2. Train one muscle group for hours always 3. Train hard till you are done After a while, it frustrates you when you apply the above things and you train hard, but you don't see any results. Well, I can understand because I have done these in the past. Guess what? You need to do some smart work and not just hard work. If you are doing any of the below things, take a step back and change things: 1) Doing Too Much Volume The first mistake is doing too much volume. The volume of your workout = sets x load x reps. Your total workload is the key to muscle growth, but doing too much actually hinders recovery and will stop your progress. Most people benefit from ~10-20 sets/muscle/week. Your actual volume depends on various individual factors like age, training experience, genetics, etc. A good rule of thumb is dropping your volume by 1/3rd to half to take a step back and slowly push it up to 20 sets per muscle group per week. 2) Doing Junk Volume Aka Very Light Lifting Along with too much volume, what's equally wrong is not going hard enough on each set. If you have 4 reps left for failure, you will be able to do much more volume because each set is so damn easy. I recommend doing each set ~1-2 reps from failure but sometimes more, sometimes less. 3) No Structured Plan If you don't have a plan and just walk into a gym, you may make progress. That doesn't mean your progress can't be better. When you have a plan, you reduce guesswork and can manage variables better. Have a set training plan for 4-6 weeks and get stronger in it than doing random workouts. 4. Doing 'Bro'- Splits It's okay to start with one muscle per day but not suitable for long-term progress. You either do too much volume which leaves you sore for your other sessions during the week or you are limiting growth by not taking advantage of elevated muscle protein synthesis. 5) Chasing The Pump Via Lightweights: Progressive overload means you do more work, and thus more volume, over time. Getting a pump causes muscle growth, but you will reach a point at which you have to increase the load/reps. So focus on doing more volume over time and do pump work at the end of your workouts and not your entire workout. 6) Not Applying A Wide Range Of Rep Scheme: Lastly, scientific research has shown that muscle growth can happen in a variety of rep ranges. Training in rep ranges outside of 8-12 reps can help you train different capacities and help push for progressive overload. So you can split your training in a broad spectrum from 3-30 reps. 8. We've often heard stories of ambulance vans getting stuck in traffic or finding it difficult to pass through a busy road. Imagine, what will happen when an ambulance has to pass through a narrow street where hundreds of people are dancing in a festival. Amid the loud beats of music on a street which is overcrowded with people, the shortest time an ambulance can take is probably an hour or two, right? Turns out it only takes seconds if there is right coordination, and the people of Kerala are here to teach us how. In a minute-long video, people who were dancing on the streets can be seen parting quickly in order to make way for the ambulance. This video was taken during the Mannarkkad Pooram festival, which is said to be one of the oldest temple festivals in Kerala. This process looked so seamless that it is now winning people's hearts and going viral for all the right reasons. People on social media can't stop praising the locals and their efforts which probably helped save a life. Imagine a huge crowd making way for an Ambulance in a perfect manner!!! 9. Back in 1994 when the Tom Hanks' classic 'Forrest Gump' hit the theatres, many of us were either too young or too naive to completely appreciate the movie for the marvel that it was. We went back to it years later, often a number of times over the years because it that good, and invigorating and inspiring! View this post on Instagram Happy Birthday @TomHanks! Cut to 2019, and Aamir Khan is all set to star in the Bollywood remake of this classic movie which is going to be called 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. As per latest reports, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' will hit the theatres in 2020, and Aamir will be dropping close to 20 kgs for his character. The film will be directed by 'Secret Superstar' director Advait Chandan and shall be written by Atul Kulkarni. (c) Twitter Aamir told PTI, “We have started the prep work on the film. The shoot will start from October. I will be prepping for six months. I have to lose weight. I will be losing 20 kgs. I have to be lean and slim." We have too many good memories attached to the film, and given Aamir's previous record (let's cut him some slack for 'Thugs Of Hindostan' please), we are expecting some great things from Aamir Khan and 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.
  10. The biggest charitable initiative just took place in the country and we couldn't be more pleased with the mighty philanthropist. India's second richest man, Azim Premji, has given away 34 percent of his shares in a philanthropic commitment, which is Rs 52,750 crore ($7.5 billion), to support charitable causes across India, making this the most generous donation in Indian history. This definitely takes Premji's overall commitment towards his funding to a phenomenal Rs 145,000 crore ($21 billion), which includes 67% of economic ownership of Wipro Ltd. The Wipro chairman just made his foundation one of the biggest in the world with this generous initiative . © Twitter "He has done this (contribution) by additionally earmarking all economic benefits for philanthropic purposes, in approximately 34 per cent of the shares in Wipro Limited (current market value Rs 52,750 crore), held by certain entities controlled by him," - a statement made by the Azim Premji foundation. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Ford Foundation have investment assets for charities and development in India for about $40 billion and & 12 billion, respectively. Premji's generosity comes at a time when the 'super-rich' folks in India are giving less for charitable causes than they did five years ago, according to a recent philanthropy report conducted by Bain & Co. in 2019. 11. There's no doubt that 'Black Mirror' spinoff 'Bandersnatch' was a huge success which sparked a change in the course of storytelling. Even though the concept is not new, as we have previously seen it in video games, a live-action interactive movie was a first and it seems like Netflix is looking to double-down on the strategy. © Netflix Netflix VP of product, Todd Yellin revealed that the company is looking into investing in interactive storytelling. It was first introduced via interactive kids shows a few years ago and has now been adopted by other shows like 'Black Mirror'. Even though 'Black Mirror' primarily explores the science fiction genre, Yellin added that future interactive content, “won't necessarily be science fiction, or it won't necessarily be dark. It could be a wacky comedy. It could be a romance, where the audience gets to choose, should she go out with him or him.” It would be interesting to see whether Netflix can emulate a similar experience on a different kind of show. Interactive story-telling has been seen before in books, games like 'Detroit: Become Human' and on laser-discs in the past. If you haven't checked out 'Black Mirror: Bandersnatch' yet, here's how you can watch/play the movie. © Netflix We hailed 'Bandersnatch' as a game-changing storytelling format that will change how we consume content forever. You can read about our experience here and it's completely spoiler free. In order for an interactive movie or show to work, Netflix pre-caches content so that users can stream the content even with poor internet. The app pre-caches two paths every time you are faced with a choice. Due to this very reason, the interactive episode can be experienced only on supported devices such as Android smartphones, iOS devices, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and certified Smart TVs.
  12. 'Kesari' is one of the most awaited action-drama movies of the year. Starring Akshay Kumar, the movie retells the tale of the battle of Saragarhi, when 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army defeated 10 thousand Pashtun tribesmen. The trailer has already set the bar very high. Akshay Kumar shared a super-interesting video of the making of the movie, which gives us a glimpse into all the action that went down during the behind-the-scenes struggle for the cast and the crew. The battle of Saragarhi is one of the biggest battles in the history of the world and one which finds prominent mention everywhere. Naturally, recreating the set-up, doing all the action in a high altitude place like Spiti was very difficult as the video explains in detail. It is always interesting to see such videos which explain the nuances of a craft, because all we see on the big screen is the final product eventually. 'Kesari' is all set to release on 21st March.
  13. Marvel fans are still mourning the loss of the legend that is Stan Lee and he obviously needed an amazing farewell from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and they managed to pull that off with 'Captain Marvel'. It's the first MCU movie to release after Stan's passing, so obviously, a fitting tribute was in order. Warning, slight spoiler ahead. Remember the Marvel logo intro from every movie? With all the superheroes from the MCU? Well, a lot of people were expecting to see Captain Marvel herself join that but Marvel had something far more special planned. It was a Stan Lee tribute, and a beautiful one at that. The intro had already made people emotional and then made them sit at the edge of their seats waiting for one of the last Stan Lee cameos ever. People on Twitter shared their reaction to that Stan Lee tribute and how everyone in the theatres started applauding almost everywhere. They did a quick tribute to Stan Lee at the beginning of #CaptainMarvel & everyone clapped. It was beautiful. — ð ð¤ ð ð ð (@Tanya_HanaKim) March 8, 2019 Yes, it is. #CaptainMarvel has an awesome Stan Lee tribute, had the theater cheering from the very start. The 2019 Oscars were an interesting blend of performances and winners and thankfully, a lot of predicted winners got their due and the much awaited golden lady as well, including none other than Lady Gaga who surprised and wowed the audiences last year when she teamed up with Bradley Cooper for 'A Star Is Born' and gave us the musical we deserved. Her performance and the original track 'Shallow' were already being touted to be award winners and well, they didn't disappoint. 15. 'Gully Boy' is on its way to becoming one of 2019's biggest blockbuster movies, and we couldn't be more stoked for the cast and crew that has managed to pull off such a wonderful film, with its many facets and unexplored dimensions. In the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gully Boy', director Zoya Akhtar has done an amazing job of creating a movie inspired by the life story and achievements of rappers Divine and Naezy, which also depicts the lives of upcoming hip-hop singers and rappers in Mumbai at large. View this post on Instagram The stage is set - MILO MILL MEIN ð¤ð¥#gullyboymusiclaunch A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Jan 24, 2019 at 3:40am PST The film, as well as the actors, have received rave reviews both at home and abroad, with celebrities going gaga over Ranveer and Alia's performances. However, as the film inches closer to completing a week at the box office, the supporting actors of the film have also grabbed some major limelight. The entire package has left the audience and fans thrilled to the point of drooling over these amazing performances and narrative that they have been able to witness, courtesy 'Gully Boy'. View this post on Instagram Best in the Business ðð½@itsrohitshetty @karanjohar A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Dec 6, 2018 at 3:45pm PST However, when it comes to heartfelt reviews, how can we miss Karan Johar and his way with words, who gives it straight to people, as is. So, a few hours ago, when Karan took to Instagram to share his honest opinion on 'Gully Boy' in a lengthy post, the entire film fraternity and film enthusiasts stopped and took notice. Giving words to his heartfelt feelings about the movie, Karan declares 'Gully Boy' a “masterpiece”, Zoya Akhtar a “bonafide magician”, hails the movie as a “smashing debut” for Siddhant Chaturvedi and says that 'Gully Boy' shall be a cult classic in the time to come. 16. If you're prepping for the big date that you've been looking forward to for a very long time, it'll be very unfortunate if you blow it off with your own silly mistakes. So, here's a guide for you so that you don't make any disastrous mistakes that'll probably turn the other person off. Apart from a lot of things that could go wrong fashion-wise, there are also certain grooming mistakes that you're likely to make. Here is a checklist to avoid these mistakes: 1. Bad Breath This tops the list of things you might forget to check before you step out. Before the big date, you could either take a look at these steps or pop a few mints to make sure your mouth doesn't reek of anything bad. It's important to have clean white teeth too. If you think your teeth have started to turn yellow, it's better to book a dentist appointment and get the routine cleaning done beforehand. 2. Body Odour View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tiger Shroff (@tigerjackieshroff) on Jan 3, 2019 at 10:55pm PST If you have a date at the end of a long working day, it doesn't hurt to freshen your pits with a dash of deodorant or a roll on, so that you can raise your hands freely like Tiger Shroff. 3. Unkempt Hands © Instagram One of the many things that your date will notice about you is the way you keep your hands. If they look like the picture above, she will be disturbed by it even if she doesn't show it. Think about it this way, if you spot dirty nails you would be equally grossed out too, right? It works both ways. 4. Unkempt Beard & Hair © Instagram If your hair and beard are dishevelled and you look like you just got out of bed for a date, probably because you want to send out a message that you want to keep things casual by being casual, it's a bad move pal. This won't get you a second date in the very least. Get a salon appointment before you go for your date and make sure your final look is clean and polished. This will definitely get you brownie points, trust us. 5. Not Making An Effort © Instagram Remember, the Beyonce-Ed Sheeran concert? It was outrageous for Ed Sheeran given the sheer contrast in his and Beyonce's get ups. She wore an elaborate gown and he turned up in jeans! The idea is not to go over the top with your efforts. However, keeping in mind where your date is set, you certainly can make some quality effort that goes on to show that you care, which will most certainly be appreciated by your date.
  17. The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in India, which was passed in 2016, has come under grave scrutiny and protests in the North-East, especially in Assam and Meghalaya. The bill claims to be 'politically motivated' in these regions and has been termed 'anti-Assam' by BJP ally Asom Gana Parishad and has also been cruised by other regional parties. (c)Twitter The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 was formulated by the government in order to change the deification of illegal immigrants in the country. The bill, which was introduced in the Lok Sabha in July 2016, seeks to amend the citizenship act of 1955, to provide citizenship to illegal immigrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, who're either Hindu, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists or Parsis. The bill also aims to reduce the amount of time for staying in India to become a citizen in the first place. So, instead of 11 years, a minimum of 6 years of staying in the country would be required, if the bill is passed. (c)Twitter Following the new amendment made to the bill, Assam and Meghalaya reacted to it in a grim manner saying the move would make Assam a dumping ground for all Bangladeshi Hindus. The BJP coalition partner have threatened to cut ties with the party if the bill is passed as the locals believe it will affect the cultural identity and linguistics of the indigenous people of the state. Assam since then has been on protest on the passing of the bill as they believe the long standing concern over the issues of refugees is not going to be put to rest if the bill is in action. (c)Twitter The younger folks in the states have been very upfront about the government's agenda and have questioned it time and again. The ferociousness of their honesty is met with little or no answers so far. A few days ago a young 19-year-old boy Rahul Rajkhowa took to YouTube and posted a rap protesting the bill. The rapper adds, that while the government cannot even help rescue 15 miners stuck in an illegal coal mine, they're hell-bent on helping people from foreign countries based on their religion. The rap ends with the line "...and your agenda for progress is fake" and leaves us gutted with what young people from the North-Eastern states feel at the arms of apathy and agenda pushing. Watch the video here: (c)Twitter While the protests still continue against the BJP-led government in Assam over this bill, with All Assam Student Union (AASU) waving their black flags at the CM Sarbananda Sonwal, we're not sure what the end result might be. We just hope the government realises the fallacies and problematic situations that may arise with the bill in action and take a relevant step towards ensuring uniformity and peace in the region, instead.
  18. A regular day in the life of a person who's interested in Ranveer Singh would look something like this: waking up, brushing teeth, looking up the latest bizarre outfit worn by Ranveer Singh, have breakfast, go through the entire day and repeating the routine the next day. That is the kind of reputation Ranveer Singh has set for himself after wearing the most unthinkable and the wackiest outfits of all times. For, Gully Boy's promotion, Ranveer Singh wore a head-to-toe millennial pink outfit, which like his routine outfits, was again a head turner. Take a look. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nitasha Gaurav (@nitashagaurav) on Feb 3, 2019 at 11:40pm PST Ranveer Singh called this lovely outfit "falude ki dukan" when asked to describe it and we couldn't agree more! It definitely reminds us of faluda, an Indian sweet dish. His co-star Alia Bhatt wore a cute crop top and glossy joggers, giving out an chilled out athleisure vibe. © Instagram © Instagram Baggy millennial pink Adidas Originals jacket and Prada trousers in the same colour monochromatic dressing, clearly has become Ranveer Singh's new favourite following the ghaghra. 19. Imagine landing a date with the woman of your dreams after you've slogged your a** off, and then you go and blow it by making the worst first impression ever. Sounds like a nightmare, right? Well, to ensure you don't send your date screaming for the hills with your disastrous fashion choices, here's a list of mistakes to avoid making on your date with her: 1. Wearing Your Gym Clothes © shutterstock Your gym clothes belong to the gym and not outside of it. Please don't make the mistake of wearing your gym clothes to a date night. Your date would've probably put a decent amount of effort into their appearance and you should be reciprocating that effort. There is also the slight possibility that your gym clothes might reek of sweat, the kind that repulses people instead of attracting them. 2. Buttoned Down Shirt © artofmanliness Showing your chest hairy/ bare chest is also not a great idea. You don't want to expose your chest to the other person when she's not even consented to it. Besides, you don't want to give away too much too soon. 3. Socks With Sandals © fashionbeans Socks with sandals is another fashion choice that is disastrous. Shoes and bad breath are the two major things a woman notices about you. Shoes and socks are one combination that just won't work. 4. Jeans With The Zipper Open © monogramsigns I know, I know this seems like a really obvious one. But jeans with the zipper open is a mistake that unknowingly happens to all of us one time or the other. For the date, however, make a conscious effort to not let this happen. 5. Wearing Lame Slogans And Logos © artofmanliness Monograms might be back in fashion, however, for a date night and first impressions, they end up being a little lame. You don't want to shout out a brand's name or a funny slogan because you're much more than that. Instead, let your mouth do the talking.
  20. Just as we begin to wrap our heads around all the madness that has followed ever since the 'Gully Boy' trailer dropped, Ranveer still manages to make heads turn every single time! If you thought the leopard print suit was extra enough for the man this week, you are underestimating this guy. So when Ranveer showed up at Soho house with a bunch of other celebrities, he definitely made a statement we can't disagree with! © Viral Bhayani © Gucci Ranveer was spotted wearing a Gucci Logo sweatshirt which is normal (our normal is definitely not his normal, TBH) for him but still costs a whopping 980 USD which converts to Rs. 69,751 only. NBD, right? But his shoes are what caught our attention the most. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani He can be seen wearing the Adidas Pharrell Williams X BYW shoes. This is one of the 'Chinese New Year' celebration shoes launched by Adidas in January '19. Seems like our lad got a hand on these babies pretty early, huh? © sneakerbardetriot © sneakernews The unique collection is inspired by traditional Chinese New Year colour scheme of red and yellow with a red prime-knit upper covered in a fish scale-like embroidered pattern in yellow and gold detailing. Bold 'AMBITION' print runs on the forefoot, which is Pharrell's signature style of having motivational text on his collaborative shoes. Rad AF, aren't they? © 43einhalb The shoe retails for 380 USD which is around Rs. 27,099, which is pretty cheap considering the hype around this shoe. Why the fish scales, you ask? There's a reason for everything. In Chinese culture, fish represents abundance, and a fish dish at dinner is an integral part of the festivities during Chinese New Year. Ranveer's shoes have a pattern inspired by fish scales from the dinner dish! We're getting hungry! © Viral Bhayani May the fashion gods keep blessing this man with impeccable sense of pulling literally anything off. You deserve that winner winner fish-dinner, Ranveer!
  21. The love for football is only second to the pure, unconditional, and strong bond between a mother and her child. But what happens when these two come together? It's something that we recently found out in Brazil. The video of a mother narrating the story of a local football match to her visually-impaired son, from September last year, is doing the rounds of the internet right now. Silvia Grecco and her son Nickollas, 12, have become minor celebrities in the Sao Paulo team Palmeiras after the mother was spotted on TV narrating one of their matches from the stands. Despite not being a professional, she gives her own spin to the events on the field, sometimes even including the curses sent down the referee's way. This is surely not the first time a disabled fan has become a social media sensation by following the sports they love, but this duo of mother and son would certainly be remembered for a long, long time to come.
  22. Apple has already flirted with the idea of providing a gaming experience on your TV via Apple TV. However, a new report suggests that the Cupertino giant is now looking to make a new product that will work on a subscription model. It will work similar to Xbox' Game Pass and plans are still in the early stages, the report said. Another idea was suggested that Apple may also play the role of a publisher with a few development studios. In the gaming world, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all offer a subscription service for their respective consoles. It provides gamers access to a large catalogue of games for a monthly subscription fee. Xbox Game pass already offers access to Xbox 360, Xbox Exclusives and other games for $9.99. The Microsoft-owned gaming company also plans to launch a streaming service called xCloud next year. Sony also provides gamers with the ability to stream games via PlayStation Now which includes titles from platforms like PS4, PS3 and PS2. Even though Apple is not known for providing hardware gaming titles on iOS devices, the App Store is home to millions of casual games and players alike. In fact, mobile gaming revenue is expected to reach $106 billion in two years because of titles like Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Pokemon GO and others. © Youtube Apple has also co-designed a gaming controller with SteelSeries that works with Apple TV. Apple as already patented other input methods and is planning increase in graphical capabilities. For example, the latest iPad Pro is capable of delivering similar graphics performance as the Xbox One S. That's because The A-series CPUs and GPUs found in iPads and iPhones can rival the current generation of gaming consoles. © Youtube/CultofMac Services are a big source of revenue for Apple and since hardware sales have plateaued, a gaming subscription could potentially ad a new source of revenue for Apple. In fact, if Apple provides AAA games with more serious titles rather than casual games, it may just turn the tide in the gaming industry. With the rise of games like Fortnite, PUBG and Clash of Clans, gaming is about to become bigger than ever before and Apple's new subscription could be the game changer for the industry. However, it remains to be seen whether Apple will host AAA games or continue to provide casual games on their platform.

  24. Even after Shaun Marsh's absolute beauty of a performance, the heroics of Indian cricket team's captain, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni along with the crucial role played by wicketkeeper and batsman, Dinesh Kartik proved to be too much for the Aussies to handle as India won the second ODI to tie the series at 1-1. While Kohli's 39th career ODI century was more of a necessity than an occasion for celebration, it was Dhoni who played like he once used to, during his prime, and put on a show to stun critics both overseas and here in India who were sceptical of the inclusion of the former skipper in the ODI roster for the series Down Under and the speculations of him being a part of the 2019 ICC World Cup team instead of Rishabh Pant, as he ended the match in a great fashion with a six to tie the game and then a single to seal the victory in the final over. It all seemed to be just like any other classic win for the Men in Blue until a video of MS Dhoni taking, what is called a 'short-run', popped up on the ever-so-resourceful internet. Did anyone notice that dhoni actually didn't complete the run here? pic.twitter.com/F9KjKiFILc — neich (@neicho32) January 15, 2019 In the video, it appears as if the batsman walked across the pitch for a single but didn't touch the crease with his bat to complete the run. According to the 'Laws of Cricket' (1744) the rule to complete a 'run' requires for the batsman to touch the crease or the area behind the line. If the batsman fails to do so, the run does not count. "If either umpire considers that one or both batsmen deliberately ran short at that umpire's end, the umpire concerned shall, when the ball is dead, call and signal Short run and inform the other umpire of what has occurred,” reads the ICC rulebook. If the umpires feel that the short-run taken by the player is deliberate, they are entitled to tax the offender's team of five runs as penalty. Although, the suspected short-run taken by Dhoni looks completely nonintentional, it could have had some serious consequences, getting him run-out had the bowler realised, being one of them. Run out chance missed! — Sameer Kumar Bhoi (@ImSKBhoi) January 16, 2019 But, somehow, the on-ground umpires and even the third umpire missed the short-run completely and gave the run to Dhoni. It's the small things that matter, isn't it?
  25. “Ye Wasseypur hai, yahan kabootar bhi ek pankh se udta hai, aur dusre se apni ijjat bachata hai.” A true blue Pankaj Tripathi fan would be able to tell exactly where, when and who said this. If you happen to be one of them, we deem you as one too - a Pankaj Tripathi fan. One, who may or may not have seen and appreciated this method artist's talents before 'Gangs of Wasseypur' became a stellar, commercial success, and Pankaj received the praise and recognition that he had duly earned. Today, 'Mirzapur' is touching new heights riding on his shoulders. Viewers have been left in awe of Kaleen Bhaiya, who instills terror in people's hearts by simply sitting on his chair, hardly saying much. But that is one of Pankaj's idiosyncrasies which seems to have done wonders for him - his ability to go beyond the written character and adding his personal touches to them, making each of Pankaj's performances brilliant. © Instagram But Pankaj Tripathi's journey to such critical acclaims and the popularity that followed comes sprinkled with many highs and lows. That makes his story worthy to be told - yet remains one that hasn't been shared enough. When Pankaj started out, his means were limited, but his dreams soared sky-high. Very early on in his life, he had set his heart on doing things differently. Of leading a life on his own terms, and not giving in to expectations written in stone. A native of a small village in Bihar, called Belsand, Pankaj grew up in a place that is beginning to reap the goodness of civilisation just now. He spent his initial years enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Born into a farmer's family, his early years were spent in the lap of nature. Pankaj appreciated the plain joys that life had to offer, such as swimming in the pond behind his house or running through the fields with his mates. © Instagram Given such a humble start to his life, we suppose you are wondering how the bug to act bit him? Well, by his own admission, Pankaj used to act in local plays in his village where he would portray the role of girls. The audience would love his performances, which eventually prompted Pankaj to take up acting. When Pankaj moved to Patna for his higher studies, he came across the charm of theatre, and would soon cycle the length and breadth of the state to attend as many stage plays as he could between 1994 and 1995. Finally in 1996, he started doing theatre, along with a night job in a hotel. That went on for two years, before he decided to get serious acting lessons. © Instagram Coming from a family of limited means meant that he would have to look for a place that could teach him for free. He learnt that National School of Drama in Delhi was one such place, but their admission requirement calls for a graduation degree. That's how the then 12th pass Pankaj got himself enrolled in a BA degree in Hindi literature. Post graduating, he found himself in NSD and graduated from the acting school in 2004. On October 16th he found himself in the city of dreams Mumbai, with his life-savings of Rs 45,000. But as life would have it, by December 25th, he had only Rs. 10 left in his pocket. Life was hard, and challenges crept up at every turn. But Pankaj was not the one to give up. © Instagram He kept auditioning, kept facing rejections for over a decade, kept honing his skills with every project he landed and ended up bagging a few small roles here and there. But eventually his time came with gangster-drama 'Gangs of Wasseypur' in 2012, for which Pankaj received a lot of critical appreciation from the audience and critics alike. He had finally made it. His credibility spiked through the roof and bigger projects kept knocking at his door incessantly. What followed next was 'Fukrey' (2013), 'Masaan' (2015), 'Nil Battey Sannata' (2016), 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' (2017), 'Newton' (2017), 'Fukrey Returns' (2017) and 'Stree'(2018). © Instagram But that is not all, Pankaj went on to earn a National Film Award – Special Mention for his performance in 'Newton'! Today, he has played a lead in 'Gurgaon' and also has multiple projects such as 'Kaagaz', 'Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai', and 'Luka Chhupi' in the pipeline, besides various other projects. Pankaj follows a simple philosophy in his life, “yaadgaar to mai apne kaam se hounga”. That is what this fine actors eats and breaths - a wish to entertain his audience, who go back home with a smile on their faces at the end of the day.
