And of course, overconsumption of alcohol shocks your entire system. © iStock Says Dr Sushant Shetty MD For Skin & Head Of Medical Operations at Kaya, “Excess consumption can worsen preexisting inflammatory skin conditions, cause stomach ulcers, and worsen acne lesions, among a plethora of other problems.” Seems pretty horrid, doesn’t it? So, it goes without saying, the first and foremost thing to do, is to drink within a limit. © iStock Other than that here are a few easy ways to deal with a bad hangover, once you’ve done the deed: 1. Hydrate Yourself © iStock Keeping yourself hydrated is the key. While you’re drinking, have a glass of water between drinks. That way, you’re automatically cutting down the number of drinks you may consume. Also, once you’re about to hit the sack, drink lots of water, as that helps your body to flush the excess alcohol out. 2. Alka-seltzer In Water © iStock Right before you go to bed, take two tablets of Alka-Seltzer, mix them in water and just gulp it down as it effervesces or froths up. You can use any over the counter aspirins, but Alka-seltzer works best. Before doing this, make sure you have vomited if you’ve been feeling pukish. 3. Get A Good Night’s Sleep © iStock It is imperative that you get a good’s night sleep. The best way to do this is to sleep in your own bed. But just in case that’s not possible, get as comfortable as you can. And yes, you need to sleep for at least 7 hours to recuperate. 4. Eat Well, Eat Heavy © iStock By eating well, we don’t mean eat a salad, or something light. You need something that is more filling; you’ll need to carb load the morning after your party. Your body needs something greasy, and rich to get back to normal. For a lot of people, a good, decadent biryani, with a plain cucumber & tomato salad does the trick. If you want something even richer, go for some french toasts, along with a sunny-side-up egg. Avoid coffee, especially on an empty stomach. 5. Take Care Of Your Skin © iStock Finally, you need to take care of your skin. Have a proper shower, and moisturise thoroughly. You’ll need to take extra care of your under-eyes. Get a few slices of cucumber, place it on your eyelids, and just lie down. Put on a sheet-mask if you have one. Says Dr. Shetty, “Use the right products suitable for your skin type. At this point, people are completely aware of the fact that World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and some of the other brands who indulge in the same ‘pro-wrestling’ business depend heavily on scripts. Their goal is to entertain us using storylines and presenting a show inside the ring which resides within us for the years to come. In hopes of achieving that, WWE has done various things in the past, such as, making the performers cut themselves with a blade to show blood back in the day to come up with some of the most unusual narratives around the wrestlers (I mean… giving birth to a hand, COME ON NOW!). Although, ever since the company decided to become kids friendly, they have turned down the crazy by a couple of notches and depended on the wrestlers’ acrobats and the ability to sell the moves inside the square ring. Having said that, there are a few moments from time to time during which the narratives require the wrestlers to go out of their way, dial in their creativity, and create the illusion of really inflicting pain on their opponents to sell the rivalry between them. Here are a couple of the most simple yet effective ways that the WWE superstars have been doing it for ages now: 1. Triple H’s Sledgehammer Shots To The Face © WWE Let’s start with the most obvious one. During his days as a wrestling headliner, Triple H was known to carry a massive sledgehammer in his hand wherever he went. He would take it out from underneath the ring or would have someone from the crowd hand it to him to turn the tables of the match in an instant. However, the ‘deadly shot’ that he used to take with the hammer was more evident that the wrestler thought it to be. Whenever, HHH used to go for a blow, he would cover the hammer with his hand which would absorb the contact between the iron and the face of his opponent. 2. Randy Orton’s ‘Punt Kick’ © WWE When Randy Orton first introduced the world to his new move called the ‘Punt Kick’, people wondered how could the WWE allow something so vicious. Kicking people in the head like a football has to be as inhumane as it gets, right? But thanks to the multiple camera angles provided by the brand, fans were quick to find out why Orton’s kick was not as deadly as it would have been in real life. What ‘The Viper’ does is that he quickly swings away from the face of the opponents and ‘kicks the air’ with the rest of the selling of the move completely dependent on the victim. 3. Headshots With Steel Chair © WWE At the time of the ‘Attitude Era’, the company had no issues with wrestlers actually hitting each other on the head with steel chairs but due to multiple athletes coming up with severe concussions due to the move, they had to ban it completely. Now they are only restricted to steel chair shots to the back. But recently, Edge found his own way about selling headshots with steel chairs when he was cutting a promo with MVP.   19. There are varied beard styles. While some men embrace a stubble, others experiment with a thick beard. Some beards are also fairly light and since we understand that you wish to dissipate the visible gaps or want to have a fuller beard appearance, there are some tried and tested ways, in which you can darken your beard, with these simple tricks. 1. Use Beard Oil Every Day © iStock Using beard oil ensures that your beard is strong and the follicles are supple and softer than ever. Also, it adds an amazing fragrance to your hair. But besides that, the oil also moisturises your beard, giving it a darker appearance. There are some beard-darkening oils that can help. In any case, invest in a good, high-quality beard oil. The best time to use it would be after a warm shower when the beard is slightly damp. The facial pores are exposed to heat and this way the oil will penetrate into the skin better. 2. Use Black Walnuts © iStock You can also darken your facial hair with the help of a natural home remedy, for example, black walnuts. Take at least 7 to 8 walnuts, crush them and add water to it. Cook it well in water for at least half an hour and then let it cool. Once done, dip your beard in this mixture and let it sit for at least 20 minutes, for it to catch the colour. While using it, wear gloves to avoid staining. 3. Use A Beard Filler © iStock When a beard doesn't grow in an even manner, you can see the gaps in your facial hair. Most men struggle with this issue, and the gap also gives the appearance of a light beard. A beard pencil or a filler is an effective solution that will help the patchy sections and make it look fuller. This covers it up completely, and your hair will look darker than usual. Try it out. 4. Use Cocoa Paste © iStock In order to make your beard look darker, you can also use cocoa paste. While cocoa is a delicious powder, the same can be used on your beard as well. Firstly, brew a cup of dark roast coffee and let it cool. Once done, mix it with your usual beard shampoo. Take the mixture and rub it onto your hair.
