RAWALPINDI: Gangs of terrorists' facilitators, including women operatives, were arrested by law enforcing agencies (LEAs) on Friday, as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

The arrests were made during a joint intelligence-based operation by Pakistan Rangers Punjab, police and intelligence agencies in Dera Ghazi Khan, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Moreover, a huge quantity of illegal automatic weapons, ammunition and LEAs' uniforms were recovered from the gang members, ISPR added.

The suspects were said to be transporting the weapons and ammo for terrorist activities in major cities of Punjab and Sindh.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched in February for the elimination of terrorism across the country.

The Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Civil Armed Forces as well as other security and law enforcement agencies continue to actively participate and support the efforts of the Pakistan Army to eliminate terrorist elements from the country, according to the ISPR.
