QUETTA: An Anti-Terrorism Court on Saturday disclosed that it had rejected the bail plea of Balochistan MPA Abdul Majid Achakzai's whose speeding car killed a traffic sergeant last month.

The court had reserved its verdict on Achakzai?s bail plea earlier on Wednesday and extended the accused's judicial remand by three days.

Achakzai is presently in jail on judicial remand. 

Traffic policeman Haji Attaulla succumbed to injuries after Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party MPA Achakzai allegedly ran him over while he was performing his duty near Quetta's GPO Chowk.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on June 28 took suo motu notice of the incident and summoned a detailed report from the Balochistan police.

After reports of a comprise with the MPA surfaced, the deceased traffic policeman?s son denied any such agreement.

?Neither have we reached any agreement nor are we willing to compromise,? Attaulla?s son Moazzam said.

During his judicial remand, two other criminal cases surfaced against the MPA in which his remand has been ordered by the court.
