?The matter seems to be going towards the imprisonment of Hussain, Hasan, and Maryam Nawaz,? said PTI Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry. ?Only a miracle can save Nawaz Sharif?s family from 14 years imprisonment and 10 years of disqualification.?
While speaking about the proceedings of the JIT being made public, Chaudhry said the videos should be aired in cinemas, which will also help the film industry prosper. ?If the video of Captain (retd) Safdar?s JIT proceedings are aired, the tickets would be sold in black.?
PTI senior leader Naeemul Haq also addressed the media outside the Supreme Court. He said things appear grim for the Sharif family as the premier's disqualification is all but likely now.
After the PTI leaders, PML-N?s Daniyal Aziz said the demand from resignation that Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto has made seems to be coming from the PTI.
However, he added, PTI itself is not working for accountability in the province under its governance i.e. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. ?Ehtesab Commission in KP has been shut down.?
The Supreme Court heard arguments from the petitioners on Monday and the prime minister's counsel on Tuesday.
The hearing was later adjourned till Wednesday.
Following the adjournment, PTI Information Secretary Shafqat Mehmood said the Sharif family?s corruption has been laid bare in front of the Supreme Court today.
PTI?s Fawad Chaudhry also addressed the media following Mehmood, saying the bench?s reference to sending the case to the National Accountability Court shows that is where the case will eventually be sent to.
Chaudhry said the matter will be settled in the premier?s favour even now if he submits the relevant documents.
He claimed the prime minister has a week or two left in office, and advised the people to begin preparing for celebrations.
