The weather turned pleasant after parts of the metropolis received heavy showers accompanied by gusty winds on Wednesday afternoon.

Citizens living in the areas of Gurumandir, Lasbela, Saddar, II Chundrigar and Urdu Bazar enjoyed the rainfall. 

It was also reported that several of those commuting via motorcycles on those routes slipped due to slippery roads and the rain caused minor flooding on some roads of the metropolis. 

The metropolis also received light showers in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to the meteorological office, most rainfall was recorded in Gulshan-e-Hadeed with 8.5mm, followed by in Landhi with 4.5mm. Areas around PAF Base Faisal received 2mm rain.

According to the Met office, the process of light drizzle in the city could continue for some time.
