Soldier martyred, 13 terrorists killed during Operation Khyber-IV

Pakistan Army announced the start of Operation Khyber-IV on July 15, 2017 - File Photo ISPR RAWALPINDI: One soldier has been martyred and 13 terrorists killed during ongoing Operation Khyber-IV, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday.
Sepoy Abdul Jabbar laid his life for the motherland - Photo ISPR According to ISPR, the operation was progressing as planned with troops including special services group clearing 90 square KM?s and now squeezing the terrorists. A number of IEDs laid by the terrorists have been detected, recovered and neutralised by Pakistan Army Engineers Counter IED teams.
Several terrorist hideouts have also been destroyed in targeted strikes by PAF, Army Aviation and Artillery.
ISPR says the operation continues as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
The Pakistan Army announced on Sunday the launch of a new military operation in Khyber Agency.
DG ISPR Maj Gen Ghafoor said the follow-up operation, Khyber-IV, has been launched in Khyber Agency's Rajgal Valley today. He added that the Pakistan Air Force is also involved in the operation.
The DG ISPR informed that the valley, next to the Afghan border, is being used by Daesh and other local militant groups.
A division-plus size force will take part in the operation, he informed, saying that they hope to unilaterally secure the international border, eliminate hideouts and complete the state's complete physical hold on Khyber Agency in the operation.
