There couldn't have been a better start to India's tour of Sri Lanka than the massive 304-run triumph recorded by the Virat Kohli side in the first Test at Galle. Dominating the proceedings comprehensively, the Indian team outfoxed their Lankan hosts in almost all the facets of the game, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series.

It was India's only second win against Sri Lanka at Galle. The last time an Indian side won at the scenic stadium was back in 2008, under the leadership of Anil Kumble. This was also India's biggest overseas win (in terms of runs) surpassing 279-run victory against England at Leeds in 1986.

AP

Considering the extent of their triumph, it was only fair that the Indian cricketers enjoyed some downtime.

And, in India's current Test side, no one gets along as well as the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) duo Kohli and KL Rahul. The bromance between Kohli and Rahul was once again at full display as the two explosive batsmen were seen chilling by the pool in Sri Lanka.

Chilling by the pool. Good times. âï¸ @klrahul11 pic.twitter.com/acNw9Bp0jw
— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) July 30, 2017

Kohli took to Twitter and shared a couple of pictures where the two cricketers were seen enjoying the Sunday afternoon at a swimming pool.

The Indian captain struck his 17th Test hundred with India declaring their second innings at 240 for three and setting up a mammoth target of 550 runs for Sri Lanka. While Kohli impressed with his exploits, Rahul was forced to miss the first Test due to viral fever.

Victory tastes as good when we play FIFA ð#PostMatchFifaSession #Mates pic.twitter.com/092iBHFV1x
— Rohit Sharma (@ImRo45) July 29, 2017

Apart from Kohli and Rahul, Rohit Sharma, too, shared a photo of himself alongside Team India stars, engrossed in an intense FIFA session on the gaming console.

While the spirits are at an all-time high in the Indian camp, it will arguably be the opposite for the Lankan brigade. With India taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, the Lankans need to come back strong when they take the field in the second Test scheduled to begin from 3 August in Colombo.
