Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Naeem-ul-Haque has confirmed late Thursday night he discussed marriage with Ayesha Gulalai, hours after the former PTI MNA alleged she had received inappropriate text messages from him as well.

In a couple of tweets sent out at night, Naeem-ul-Haque said there was "nothing wrong" in the discussion of marriage with Gulalai nor that it warranted an apology.

?Should I apologise for discussing marriage with Ayesha Gulalai? No I don't think so. Nothing wrong with that,? Naeem-ul-Haque wrote on Twitter.

Shortly afterwards, Naeem-ul-Haque sent out another tweet to his 397,000 followers, saying there was no formal marriage proposal to Gulalai but "just a discussion".

?There was no marriage proposal as such to Ayesha Gulalai as she herself said in Asma Shirazi show just a discussion," he tweeted.

Earlier on, the same night, Gulalai appeared on Geo News' talk shows Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Sath and Capital Talk where she alleged that the party spokesperson had sent her a text message as well.

The claim followed earlier allegations from Gulalai of PTI chairman Imran Khan sending her inappropriate text messages.

"Naeem-ul-Haque also sent a text after sometime stating, 'I am alone and want to marry'," she claimed. She mentioned that the purpose of her earlier press conference was to caution women against the "culture" in PTI and to quit the party.

"I am not here speaking without evidence. I will not pursue it personally, however, if they go to some forum, I will cooperate," Gulalai had clarified.

Gulalai has accused PTI chairperson Imran Khan of first sending her inappropriate text messages back in 2013, but refrained from publicly revealing any other details regarding the messages.

However, during her appearance on Capital Talk earlier on Thursday, she showed senior journalist Hamid Mir some of the alleged text messages off camera before the talk show started.

In response to Gulalai's claims, PTI has served a legal notice to her, demanding she reply to the letter within 10 days or pay compensation to the tune of Rs 30 million.
