RAWALPINDI: The Army leadership on Monday acknowledged the positive long term effects being achieved through Operation Radd-ul Fasaad, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, during the monthly Corps Commanders Conference, also appreciated the successful conduct of Operation Khyber-4 in the "most inhospitable terrain of Rajgal".

Undertaking a comprehensive review of the internal and external security situation, the forum also deliberated upon the regional security situation, added ISPR.

The Army leadership reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and stability.

"We look forward to a trust based mutual cooperation in this regard which can achieve the policy ends of enduring regional peace," said General Bajwa.

The attendees of the conference were also briefed on the situation along the Line of Control (LoC).

The army chief, expressing full satisfaction over the armed forces' commitment to national defence, said efforts must continue to defeat terrorism and militancy while ensure supremacy of the Constitution and establishing the rule of law.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched in February with the objective of eliminating terrorism across the country.

The Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, civil armed forces as well as other security and law enforcement agencies continue to actively participate and support the efforts of the Pakistan Army to eliminate terrorist elements from the country.
