Shashi Tharoor Asks James Bond To 'Die An Aadhar Day' & Owns Twitter Like A Boss

The whole country is in a state of shock and confusion, after the Home Ministry announced that a deceased person's Aadhaar number will now be mandatory for registration of death certificate starting October 1. Purpose? The Enrollment ID (EID) Number will help establish the identity of the deceased and is meant to prevent identity fraud. But, what if that person did not have an Aadhar Card in the first place? While, we all were contemplating this and wondering about the other crazy decisions that will be thrown at us, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was quick to use his wit and humour to lighten things up.

Be it a ‘farrago of distortions' or an internet ‘webakoof', Tharoor has always been Twitter's favourite muse for cracking jokes and creating hilarious memes. So what if you don't find the time to check the Oxford dictionary, you can always trust Tharoor to enlighten you with his choice of unusual words and funny phrases. This time around too he was spot on with his humour and brought in our beloved James Bond in the scenario. Wondering what James Bond has to do with Aadhar cards? Well, he wrote this on Twitter, “Brilliance from WhatsApp: James Bond applied for a Death Certificate in India…they told him to ‘Die an Aadhar Day'”. We bet even Pierce Brosnan will be tripping over this tweet right now.
