KARACHI: Around 400 golfers would reach Karachi to participate in Independence Day golf tournament, which will start from tomorrow, August 10 and end on August 13.

A press conference was held in this regard on Wednesday, attended by DHA country and golf club secretaries Tariq Rafique, Capt Zahid Iqbal and sponsor Ali Habib.

Tariq Rafique said that it is expected that around 400 golfers would participate even if the total entries haven?t been finalised.

The golfers would compete in three categories.

Capt Zahid Iqbal said that the golf court in Karachi has genetically designed grass and even matches of Asia Circuit can take place here.

Last year champion Shabbir Iqbal will defend his title this time. The champion would be given a car in prize.
