About 31,000 packets of expired imported chocolate was seized from a warehouse in Rawalpindi on Thursday. Photo: Online LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority seized 31,000 packets of imported expired chocolate from Rawalpindi on Thursday, according to PFA.
The raid was conducted at a warehouse located on Rawalpindi?s College Road. A huge quantity of expired chocolate was stored at the warehouse.
The PFA officials revealed that the chocolates were supplied to super stores and shopping malls.

As a result, the warehouse was sealed and a case was registered against the owners of the warehouse.
On June 22, PFA had sealed two sweetmeat production units in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The department had sprung into action to crack down on sweetmeat vendors in the province ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Nearly 240 kilogrammes of ready-to-sell sweetmeat and 400 kilogrammes of inferior quality ingredients were disposed of, according to PFA Director General Noorul Amin Mengal.
