Make-up is to women what shoes are to men. Like every season, there's always a 'hot dog' shoe. One, that sells in millions and never ceases to dip in popularity. Since the onset of solid-coloured white sneakers some four years ago, single-colour kicks have been lying enthroned. Reason? They're easy to style, are absolute good lookers or let's just say...pair with almost anything. Plus, they let you go batshit crazy with your apparel choices. Quite evidently, this pair of Gucci New Ace, with the detail of a hanging tiger at the back has been on our radar since launch. Because Alessandro Michele can do no wrong.

Solid coloured kicks are here to stay and are showing absolutely no visible signs of taking a backseat. But this season, your beloved kicks are coming with toggled lacing systems. Result? All the more easier to slide your feet in, lacing up is now even easier and all in all, you're left with an upgraded version of everyone's favourite sneakers. Three arrows, at once!

You know how it goes...unless you've been living under the rock, you'll know blah, blah, blah. Gist of what we mean: Sure, your classic derby shoes are business-casual but sometimes, you need a pair that goes beyond that boring'ol aesthetic. Like PR honcho, Parikshaat Wadhwani's open-closed derby shoes. What's to notice is that, you can pair these with anything—chinos, cotton shorts, windowpane trousers (how Parikshaat styled them). Ankle-length shoes are many, even solid-coloured shoes are plenty;but such pristine, clean AF casual plimsolls are a rarity today. Simple reason being, multi-coloured, ankle-length sneakers have replaced them in a big way. But well, if you're not a sneaker-head in the true sense of the word, solid-coloured casual shoes will up your ante. For us, even the texture on the cap and vamp helps in breaking the monotony of the otherwise, very basic shoe. See, even something boring can have a personality of it's own!

And lastly, glossy, glistening footwear for the win. Also, the trickiest one on our list. Luckily, when we're spotting metallics on the runway, we stumbled upon street style footwear raining on the parade. Point being, metallic colours are not the easiest to style, but that shouldn't stop you from wearing them in public. Pro-Tip: Keep your outfit very minimal on prints and clashing colours.
