ISLAMABAD: Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chairperson Mahmood Khan Achakzai on Friday said all members of the parliament, including Khursheed Shah and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, should strengthen the lower house.

Achakzai made the statement during his address in the parliament and added that the internal and external policies of the country should also be made in the parliament.

The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chairperson further said that there is no harm in having a dialogue with those who believe in the supremacy of Parliament.

Achakzai alleged that country has not seen a free and fair election from 1970 onwards and 28 prime ministers have been dismissed before the end of their tenure.

He also said the country has seen blunders such as the formation of Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) and the Changa Manga incident and asked why were Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution implemented in those instances.
