Imran Khan raises voice on environmental issues
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan said on Tuesday that politicians are involved in timber mafia which is becoming an environmental hazard in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw.
Imran Khan was addressing an event on environment issues in the federal capital.
Speaking about the environmental problems, he remarked that ?no one cares about the environment.?
He further hailed the role of Cheif Minister KP Pervaiz Khattak in fighting the timber mafia. "I appreciate Pervaiz Khattak's role in setting up some money for the forest department."
He remarked that Pervaiz continued with his efforts even though five people of the forest department were killed and many more injured.
