ISLAMABAD: A high-level security meeting chaired by Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal is underway in Islamabad.

Chaired by Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, the meeting is being attended by Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak, and Chief Minister of Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri.

Head of National Counter Terrorism Authority Ahsan Ghani, DG IB Aftab Sultan, Governor KP Iqbal Jhagra and senior officials of the interior ministry are also in attendance.

This is the first official law and order meeting called by Ahsan Iqbal after he took over as the interior minister on August 4. 

Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq, and National Security Adviser General (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua are also part of the meeting.
