LAHORE: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left for London on Wednesday morning to meet his ailing wife.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader will be abroad with his wife and sons during Eid. Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of PML-N leader, is reportedly under treatment for throat cancer.
Kulsoom is PML-N's nominated candidate for NA-120 after the seat fell vacant following Nawaz's disqualification and ouster from PM office on Supreme Court's July 28 verdict.
Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz has taken charge of running election campaign of her mother in the constituency.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif accompanied the former prime minister at the airport.
