Apparently, millions in betting money were placed on the Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor fight, with an estimated 76% of the bets being placed on the outsider, McGregor, to win. But all these people made an extremely bad decision to bet against the undisputed champion in Mayweather, but Grayson Gregory ended up losing more than just money.
Even though Grayson Gregory isn't that big of a Floyd Mayweather fan, from now on he will forever be linked, and inked, to him for the rest of his life. After losing a bet over the big fight last week, this guy had to get a tattoo of Mayweather on his leg.Β
For those of you that didn't know.. I made a tattoo bet that @TheNotoriousMMA would defeat @FloydMayweather.. Today I honored that bet. pic.twitter.com/Ap1eKPoYSz
β Grayson Gregory (@Grayson_Gregory) August 28, 2017Going by the picture, the tattoo seems to be on his left shin, close to his other leg tattoos. According to him, he has about 7-8 tattoos in total, with an almost full sleeve on his arm.Β

So, this bet was apparently made about 5-6 weeks ago. He was just sitting with his business partner, talking about the fight. Being a big MMA fan, Gregory was convinced to make a tattoo wager, since was so confident βin Conor's belief that he could win,β as he told Larry Brown Sports.
Even though he doesn't regret making a straight up bet, he now does cheerfully acknowledge that he was full of βpure bravadoβ and βjust being an idiot with itβ when he made the wager.

Gregory did admit that he was quite nervous when the fight began, obviously. Putting on a brave face, he decided not to back out of the bet, even when McGregor was showing signs of losing as the fight was progressing. He even had the chance to buy his way out of the for $250, but by that point, he figured he would βride or dieβ with his choice.

Well, at least he doesn't regret the tattoo. He said, βI've been giggling ever since I did it.β
Well, now that's a graceful way of losing a bet. Respect.
