Rana Daggubati Looks Sharp AF As A Naval Officer In The Ghazi Attack Based On The 1971 Indo-Pak War

Indian cinema is surely pushing the envelope with its upcoming ventures and there couldn’t be a better time for filmmakers to experiment. With directors exploring genres other than romance and action, it was time for someone to finally make a war-at-sea film. It’s a relatively difficult genre to even attempt, to be honest, but we had to start from somewhere. Enter debutant Sankalp, who is coming up with India’s first ever war-at-sea film called ‘The Ghazi Attack’. Produced by Karan Johar’s own banner Dharma Productions, the film stars Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu, both of whom have won accolades for their recent films.

The film is said to be based on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi, a submarine, during the India Pakistan war in 1971. Taapsee Pannu plays a refugee in the film, while Rana Daggubati plays a naval officer who survives 18 days underwater with his crew during the war. If the first look of the film is anything to go by, Rana Daggubati looks sharp AF!

Let’s hope the film delivers more than it promises!
