Pakistan American comedian Kumail Nanjiani will host an episode of Saturday Night Live in the upcoming 43rd season, NBC announced on Thursday.

The Silicon Valley actor will host the October 14 episode with musical guest Pink.

Nanjiani was recently seen on the screens in the critically-acclaimed indie comedy, The Big Sick.

Other hosts for the season include Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, who will host the show on October 7, The Notebook actor Ryan Gosling will host the season opener on September 30 alongside musical guest Jay Z.

The show, which is based on different comedy sketches, picked up nine Emmys this year out of their 22 nominations, including wins for Alec Baldwin, Melissa McCarthy, cast member Kate McKinnon, and Dave Chappelle, who hosted the post-election episode in November.

The series also picked up the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series.
