Every now and then, we hear stories about some minister or VIP boasting about their power, or being unconcerned and indifferent towards the pain and miseries of people who chose them. But, there is one man who broke this stereotype and evolved as a great example that other leaders should definitely learn a lesson or two from. On one hand, where some people escape from the accident spot out of fear of going through police interrogations, despite watching the victims lying in the pool of blood; there are some who don't hold themselves back from going all out to save those victims' lives. And BJP MLA Mejor Sunil Dutt Dwivedi did exactly that by not only taking them to the hospital, but also carrying a victim on his back inside the emergency ward of Farrukhabad's Lohia Hospital.

The accident took place on Farrukhabad-Fatehgarh road, where three men, on two motorbikes and a bicycle, were lying unconscious on the road, after their vehicles rammed into each other. Dwivedi, who is an MLA of Farrukhabad's Sadar assembly constituency was on his way back home when he saw the victims and immediately stopped his car to help them reach hospital. While two of the victims were taken on the available stretchers, the MLA carried the third victim on his back to the doctor. According to a report published in The Times Of India, he said “Since the stretchers were busy with other patients, I decided to carry the third victim on my back.” He further added, “He was wreathing in pain, hence I did not wait for the stretcher and took him to the doctor on my own.”

The victims are said to be in stable condition and the man who was carried on back by the MLA thanked him for saving their lives. It is stories and people like MLA Mejor Sunil Dutt Dwivedi who help restore our faith in humanity and are proof that good Samaritans aren't hard to find, there are people who still believe in selflessly helping others.
