Ever since making his debut in 2009, Ravindra Jadeja - in a relatively short span of time - became one of the most potent all-rounders Team India had been waiting for. The Rajput boy was good at accelerating the innings down the order and his left-arm spin bowling gave all sorts of headaches to the opposition batsmen.
He is currently ranked second in the list of Test bowlers and all-rounders, but apparently, that's not good enough for the left-hander to get a spot in the playing XI. Jadeja has not featured in the Indian side since playing the Colombo Test against Sri Lanka in August this year.
He was ignored from the limited-overs series against the Lankans and then failed to find a place in the team for the ongoing ODI series against Australia. While the national selectors have justified his exclusion as part of a strategic reshuffle in the Indian team for the all-important 2019 World Cup, the 28-year-old clearly isn't impressed.
Last month, Jadeja had expressed displeasure over his omission through a cryptic tweet which had the social media buzzing. Taking to Twitter, Jadeja shared a photo of himself with his horse and captioned it: "Make your comebacks stronger than your setbacks #rajputboy".
Though the Indian all-rounder was clever enough not to specifically target anyone, but the fact that he deleted the tweet soon after, highlighted his frustration for not being included in the Indian squad for the second limited-overs series in a row.
While his teammates are currently busy in humiliating the Aussies at home, Jadeja has been restricted to carry drinks on the field. But, despite missing out on the game-time, Jaddu has always found ways to hog the limelight.

A similar incident came to fore after the Saurashtra cricketer shared a photo of himself on the social media. Taking to Instagram, Jadeja posted his picture with a caption that read: "Had a really great "Night Out" last night, according to my police report".
While the photo showed the Indian cricketer surrounded by thick smoke, it is yet to be confirmed if Jadeja was smoking or was it just plain camera tricks. His caption surely highlighted that he was probably partying, but the mention of his so-called 'police report' has everyone confused whether he was detained by cops.
Though Jadeja's post has raised many questions which are still unanswered, his knack in courting controversy with social media posts is nothing new.
Last year, Jadeja had also attracted a lot of criticism for flouting many rules after he shared photos of himself alongside his wife in the company of endangered Asiatic lions at Gir forest. He was pulled up by the forest department for getting out of the safari vehicle and being too close to the animals. Later, he removed the photos from his account.
