KARACHI: Karachi will face a shortage of 400 million gallons of water today, the spokesperson of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board said on Monday.
The official said that the Dhabeji and Gharo pumping stations will remain closed today due to the shutdown in electricity from 6am to 6pm.
The entire city is expected to suffer from water shortage today as a result.
In a message on Twitter, K-Electric ? the city's power utility ? said the power supply to the Gharo and Dhabeji grids is being suspended for maintenance work on the request of the National Transmission and Despatch Company.
