When President-elect Donald Trump will be giving his inaugural speech on January 20, some people on will be flying high on clouds of smoke, thanks to the free joints that will be handed out by marijuana legalization group DCMJ (DC Cannabis Coalition). Not just 10 or 20, but 4,200 marijuana joints! Yep, you read that right. Guess, even the activists understand that listening to him speak with a sound mind will be too much to go through. Well, jokes apart, this move is a part of the campaign to legalise marijuana on a federal level in the US.

The Washington based group, DCMJ, was founded in the year 2013. Urging more people to join them, the DCMJ has asked people to participate in the demonstration to gather at the west side of Dupont Circle, Washington DC. Just in case you are thinking this is some sort of hoax or prank, these guys are super serious about their agenda and have printed pamphlets and planned the entire itinerary. 

 According to the group, at around 8 AM they will start handing out joints on the Westside, since recreational marijuana is legal in that area. They will then walk towards the National Mall and at 4 minutes and 20 seconds into Trump’s speech they will light up their joints. Reportedly, they have even named the ceremony as ‘Trump 420’. The concept is in reference to April 20, when  National Weed Day is celebrated.

Although these guys have made it clear that they are not protesting against Trump and are actually creating awareness.  Seeing how organised and prepared this group is, it will be super trippy and exciting to see how Trump’s inaugural ceremony will turn out.
