In a new development, Delhi Metro has checked off lighters and matchboxes from the list of prohibited items. “Apart from one lighter and one matchbox per passenger, we have also allowed passengers to carry tools. We received several requests as labourers travel by metro and carry tools for work,” a CISF official said.

But what seems to be the highlight of this new development is the fact that CISF is also allowing women to carry small pocket knives in the Delhi Metro now. And we don’t really know what to feel about it. Of course, women safety is the biggest concern in this country, but will this new amendment lead to more unruly behavior?
