MIRPUR: Five of a family lost their lives and nine were injured when a passenger van fell into a deep ravine on Sunday in the Panjora area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The injured have been shifted to Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital Mirpur and are being administered medical aid.
The family was en route to Nakial from Gujranwala, where they had gone to attend a funeral.
The van met with the accident due to overspeeding, leading to the death of three women and two men on the spot, police said.
