Islamabad protesters agree to end sit-in following Zahid Hamid's resignation


ISLAMABAD: Following the resignation of Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid, the government and Islamabad protesters have reached an agreement, sources told Geo News.
Workers of religious parties will make the announcement to end the sit-in at 7am today.
According to the agreement, six arrested workers of the religious parties will have to be released,
Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid voluntarily stepped down from his position late on Sunday.
Hamid has tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, which will be accepted later in the day.
