Sindh govt announces public holiday on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)
KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced public holiday on Friday (December 1) on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) in a notification issued on Tuesday.
The notification is in effect for the staffers of all offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local Councils under the administrative control of Sindh government excluding essential services.
Meanwhile, a number of religious, social and cultural organisations are finalising their programmes to organise Milad and Seerat gatherings where speakers will highlight various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Mosques? homes? plazas? roads and all kinds of buildings will be decorated with green flags? colourful buntings? and fancy lights, a sign of great reverence and devotion.
