ISLAMABAD: Questions about the 'success' of the Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Tuesday's rally aside, the one thing that has gone viral from the public gathering is the PPP supremo's moves on stage.ย

After the rally, the PPP leader and former president Asif Ali Zardari couldn't help but sway to the beat of a popular Arif Lohar song.ย

Pictures and videos have been doing the rounds on social media ever since.ย

Answering a question after appearing before an anti-terrorism court on Thursday, Imran said: ?I don?t know about the rally but the way Zardari danced, he should conduct these performances more often.?

Talking to the media separately, Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed said "obviously what Zardari did seems like a ?dhamaal? to [PPP leader] Khursheed Shah".ย

"He [Zardari] was happy from the inside and doing aย dhamaalย from the inside," he claimed.

In reaction to the criticism, PPP spokesperson Chaudhry Manzoor said doingย dhamaalย [spiritual dance] is part of PPP?s history.ย

He added that the party founder and former premier Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto performed a dhamaal at the shrine of Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

He claimed that the Taliban and Imran have similar stances.ย
