The last few weeks might've sucked for some, but if you're a Cristiano Ronaldo fan there couldn't have been a better time of the year. The Real Madrid talisman became the proud father of a baby girl on 12 November. He then went on to become the first player in history to score in all six group games of the Champions League. And, his fifth Ballon d'Or win on the 8th of December was surely the icing on the cake.

The Portuguese footballer has been on a high, especially after equalling the world record of five Ballon d'Or wins once solely held by his nemesis, Lionel Messi. But, in Paris, while Ronaldo walked away with the biggest award of his career, his newborn daughter Alana Martina also received a special gift from France Football - the French weekly magazine that hosts the Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez were handed a special gift for Alana in a rather fancy little bag. Opening the present on stage, Georgina pulled out a tiny babygrow - a perfect fit for Alana. Not so surprisingly, it had five Ballon d'Or trophies printed on the front to highlight her father's astronomical achievements in football.

The 32-year-old announced the arrival of his new child on Instagram: "Alana Martina is just born! Both Geo and Alana are doing great! We are all very happy".

During the award ceremony, there was more talk of babies as Ronaldo revealed his ultimate Christmas gift. Revealing what he really wants on Christmas, Ronaldo revealed: "Another baby...no it's a joke, we're going to enjoy the four of us, I want seven Gold Balls and seven children".

“We both chose the name. Cristiano chose Alana and I chose Martina. We decided to give her both names that each of us chose. We thought it was even more special,” Georgina had told HOLA - a Spanish magazine.

The couple's daughter is only the latest member in their rapidly expanding brood. She joins big brother Cristiano Jr. (7), and 5-month-old twins Eva Maria and Mateo, born in June through surrogacy.
