The Apple Watch is a nifty little thing and the bands that come with the smartwatch are somewhat stylish, luxurious and practical. A new band has now released that has sensors inside and can be responsible for saving your life.

The KardiaBand, made by AliveCor, works in tandem with the sensors on board the Apple Watch 4 and can detect heart diseases such as atrial fibrillation. These built-in sensors monitor the rhythm of your heart constantly and will notify the user with an electrocardiogram (ECG).  A simple press of your thumb or finger to the metal panel on the band will give you an on-the-spot ECG reading.

The KardiaBand is now available to buy in the UK from AliveCor's website and can be shipped to India if you fancy it. You can even buy KardiaMobile, which basically works the same way as the band but does not require an Apple Watch. The band works on a subscription model and has a range of features depending on your membership type. The member ship costs INR 860 per month while the basic membership is free. The KardiaBand comes with a 30-dau free trial for the premium subscription which can be cancelled anytime.

The data collected by the band can be sent to your personal doctor for free and you can pay a little bit extra to have it analysed by a cardiologist. Once your ECGs are sent to a doctor, you will receive a response with findings within 24 hours.
