  1. The long weekend is here and in case you're not doing anything, just being a couch potato, nursing bad health or loaded with work which barred you from leaving town, then my guess is that like most of us, binge-watching will be the only plan you'll have. Here are 5 interesting suggestions for you for this weekend: 1. Hanna- This drama series follows a 15-year-old girl, Hanna who is being hunted down by a CIA agent. This dark show could be a good binge watch for you! 2. The OA 2- Brit Marling is back with her brilliance. If you followed Prairie and her friends travelling across dimensions of time in the 1st season and were left shook with what followed, this one is more layered and complicated like something you didn't imagine. 3. McMafia- Nawaz fans already devoured it last year but in case you haven't, this is a good show to binge watch. The BBC drama has Nawaz playing a Mumbai importer, Dilly Mahmood. The series revolves around Alex Goldman who is brought up by Russian exiles. Makes for a good binge watch. 4. Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé- You don't need any more reasons to watch the madness and the sheer dedication that goes behind the planning of a Beyoncé concert. This is basically a testament of her persona, just watch it already. 5. Our Planet- This series explores the wonders of the world in eight parts. This insane project was in the works for over 4 years and was shot in over 50 countries. Just prepare to be mesmerised.
  2. The Apple Watch has some handy features that have helped save lives in the past. The Apple Watch Series 4 has a new feature called “Fall Detection” which basically detects when the user takes a hard fall. The feature taps the user's wrists and sounds an alarm so that it can catch a bystander's attention. Having said that, you're not always around people that can help which is why the fall detection feature can also notify local emergency services. © Apple The way it works is that if after taking a fall a user does not respond or is unconscious for more than a minute, the Apple Watch directly contacts emergency services and sends your location to the authorities. This feature helped save a Norwegian man's life a few months ago. © Apple The feature came in handy yet again when an 80-year-old woman fell in her apartment in Haidhausen, Munich. The woman fell and lost consciousness which in turn resulted in an automatic call being placed to Emergency Services. This is what the Munich Fire Department had to say: “Last night, an 80-year-old woman fell into her apartment and, thanks to her watch, unconsciously dropped off a necessary emergency call. Her watch was equipped with a fall detection system and alerted the emergency services after the fall. A dispatcher in the integrated control centre accepted the emergency call. He heard a band announcement telling him that a person had fallen heavily. Likewise, the clock transmitted the coordinates of the scene of the accident. The police used the data to identify an address to which an ambulance had been alerted. The ambulance crew found that the door was locked and the retiree could not open it. Then they called for the fire department, which opened the apartment door by force. During this action, the smartwatch alarmed the son, who had deposited his phone number as an emergency number. Since the woman was not injured, the ambulance crew cared her only until the arrival of the son. He took over the further care.” © Apple Not only did the Apple Watch notify emergency services, but it also notified the woman's son who arrived in time to see her get treated. The woman did not require hospitalisation because of the timely response by the Emergency Services. Had there been no Apple Watch, the injuries could have been severe, as the woman was unconscious. 3. Finally, the wait for 'Game of Thrones' season 8 premiere is over and most of us have already witnessed what goes on ahead in the series. If you haven't seen the episode yet (and I wonder why), then let me warn you this article contains heavy spoilers and you may want to consider reading it. The first episode of season 8 has everything elemental. From Jon Snow's return home, with the queen by his side, to infamous dragon rides across Winterfell, everything was placed in a manner that was in accordance from one revelation to another. The revelations made may have been small in gravity for now, but they were very impactful to further build the story and the characters. © HBO The most obvious element of episode 1 were the string of dysfunctional family reunions that took place, once Jon entered Winterfell with his troop. Some were very overwhelming (like imagine seeing your brother after seven years), while some were just oddly strange. Here's a list of the most looked-forward to reunions in season 8, episode 1 of 'Game of Thrones'. (1) Jon Snow & Arya Stark © HBO This was one of the most overwhelming parts of the episode, at least for me. When Jon was standing in front of the Weirwood tree, Arya sneaked up from behind and gave him a hug. It hits you the most when you realise the last time the two saw each other. It was before Jon left for the wall and handed Arya her sword, Needle. This time around when he noticed Needle on her, he asked her if she's ever used it and she said 'once or twice'. Well, it's only time till Jon finds out how many times Arya has actually used Needle. (2) Jon Snow & Bran Stark © HBO Jon and Bran last met before Jon left for the wall and at the time Bran was on bed rest, recovering from his fatal fall. Jon wasn't allowed to spend sufficient time with him before leaving as his mother, Catelyn Stark didn't allow Jon the time. So you can only imagine the emotion that went into this reunion! When Jon saw Bran, he went straight for his forehead to kiss it but realised the reunion was stunted considering Bran is now the Three-Eyed-Raven. Even so, we could see Bran was happy to see Jon and also shared his fair warning about the White-Walkers marching to Winterfell. (3) Arya Stark & Gendry © HBO The last time the two were seen together in season 3 were when they joined the 'Brotherhood', before Gendry was taken by Melisandre to Stannis Baratheon. But this reunion was playful and flirtatious and both seemed rather content and happy to find each other alive. Arya also asked Gendry to make a weapon for her and I think it's the most romantic thing an assassin can ask her crush to make, especially if he happens to be a blacksmith. We're not sure yet what the weapon entails but we do know it has two pointy-ends, according to the design Arya handed over to Gendry. According to GoT's weapon master, Tommy Dunne, there's one creation in season 8, which is an absolute showstopper and I wonder if it's the weapon Gendry makes for Arya. (4) Arya Stark & Sandor Clegane aka The Hound © HBO Arya and The Hound have had a rather love-hate relationship but by the looks of it, The Hound is glad to see Arya alive and that's what he tells her too- "You're a cold hard bitch, aren't you? Guess, that's why you're still alive". The last time the two were seen together was in season 4, when a duel between The Hound and Brienne of Tarth left the Hound completely wounded. Arya escaped his companionship soon after, leaving him to die. (5) Jon Snow & Samwell Tarly © HBO With great difficulties, after escaping the Citadel, Samwell, Gilly and Little Sam come to Winterfell to fight for Snow. Sam learns about the death of his father and his brother by the hands of the queen and disappointed and dejected, he runs in to Jon, who he last saw at the Night's Watch. Their reunion is the most pivotal part of the show, as Sam reveals Jon's true identity, that he's not Ned Stark's son and neither is he a bastard. He is in fact Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen's legitimate child and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. This scene surely gave us goosebumps! (6) Sansa Stark & Tyrion Lannister © HBO This is one of the most rewarding reunions in the episode as it was bound to happen and Tyrion had to see how Sansa has actually evolved. And he does notice that and states "I underestimated you". The two were last seen in season 4, at the memorable wedding of Joffrey with Margaery Tyrell, after which Sansa fled with Littelfinger. Their conversation is short-lived in this episode but quite impactful. It tells us Sansa has truly evolved and that she knows Cersei better than anyone else. Even her own brother. That's because while Tyrion is convinced Cersei is on their side and that the Lannister army will march to Winterfell, Sansa is well aware of her schemes and knows for certain Cersei won't do such a thing as she has her own motives and she tells Tyrion the same. (7) Yara Greyjoy & Theon Grejoy © HBO Their reunion wasn't an elaborate deal but it was surely something to look forward to. When Theon arrives to rescue Yara from Euron Greyjoy's clutches, she's relieved to see him alive but also gives him a mighty head-butt (because he abandoned her in the past), before giving him her hand to stand up again. The two flee and head towards the Iron Islands, a definite place where she can stand guard for the folks in the North, as the White-Walkers supposedly can never reach the Iron Islands. She figures Theon wants to go back to Winterfell and assist Snow in the war and she tells him to do just that. (8) Jaime Lannister & Bran Stark © HBO Leaving the best for the last, this one reunion was the most superimposing and anticipated one. The two obviously met in season one, where Bran, a little boy climbed one of the towers of Winterfell to find Jaime & Cersei in a, well, a compromising position. Fear of their relationship being revealed to the rest of the family, Jaime pushed Bran down the tower, making him loose both his legs. I am not sure what the two will even talk about, or if they ever will, but I have a feeling Bran will tell Jaime he isn't that little boy anymore and that he's the Three-Eyed-Raven and that it probably doesn't matter, hopefully forgiving Jaime?! Well, Jaime's character has been the most evolving one out of the lot, so maybe he should be forgiven. So, there you go! 8 most endearing, overwhelming yet strange reunions in the first episode of the final season. We're awaiting some more reunions by the second episode, namely Jon and the Night King. But we're not going to go more in to that. For now, let's just take a week or less to digest this episode first!
  4. The copy contains spoilers. Proceed with caution. In case you missed it, 'Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 1 dropped today at 6.30 am. The episode saw the long-awaited reunion of Jon and Arya and the revelation of Jon's true lineage, which we were waiting for since the first season. But here's what we learnt from the premiere of Season 8: long drawn conflicts and mysteries that had troubled us since the beginning are going to unravel and fast. Things are escalating at Winterfell. Jon finally knows about his parents and it matters now what he does with this information which can possibly change the entire vision that Dany has for her Empire. So after watching the first episode, here's what is going to happen next: The trailer's opening shot has Daenerys confronting Jaime, who's just arrived in Winterfell. "When I was a child, my brother would tell me a bedtime story about the man who murdered our father," Dany says in a threatening tone. "And all the things we would do to that man." These two have never seen eye to eye. We know from Dany's past interaction with men that she does not like that it never ends well for them. 1. In the teaser, we've also seen Jamie's glove just lying around, so is it going to be the end of Jamie? But what about Cersei's prophecy then? Will Tyrion kill her then or it won't hold true considering another baby is on the way. 2. There's a sneaky split-second shot of Dany approaching Jon in the crypts of Winterfell—is he about to tell Dany his truth? © HBO 3. Then, we have Jon asking Tormund, "How long do we have?" Tormund responds: "Before the sun comes up tomorrow." And oh boy, does Jon look panicked: © HBO 4. And then we have another couple we've been rooting for, Missandei and Grey Worm kissing: © HBO 5. It looks like the Battle of Winterfell will most likely take place in episode 3 of Season 8 which also happens to be the longest episode of the season with a total running time of one hour 22 minutes. Expect gory deaths is all we can say right now.5 Revelations From 'GOT' Season 8 Episode 2 Promo That We Can't Wait To Watch Next Week
  5. The insane wait to watch the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' is about to end in a week's time when we finally witness some crazy action. Naturally the premiere has happened and the cast is pretty active on social media, contributing to the buzz around the digital premiere. Over the weekend, the good folks at 'SNL' got Kit Harington to host the night and needless to say, it was just as we expected. The best part, however, was the cast members, especially Emilia Clarke budging in and asking for spoilers, which Kit extensively refused to reveal. Adding to humour was the Night King himself asking if they could be friends and Kit's real life wife who had some fun questions to ask as well. Kit is ððð revealing how @GameofThrones ends. #SNL pic.twitter.com/cVyUmFbsGT — Saturday Night Live - SNL (@nbcsnl) April 7, 2019 Now isn't that a big tease because as the days go by, all we want is for 15th April to arrive soon so we can finally get some visual action. Until then, this was the best pre-watch for sure!
  6. Are you sad because the next season of your favourite series is a long time away and you won't be able to see your favourite character for months together? We get you! 2018 brought a lot of great shows with it. Netflix India's first original series, 'Sacred Games', got viewers hooked with its dark, ominous theme and riveting storyline and broke various records in the streaming service arena. The whole country waited with bated breath for Sartaj Singh to find the true culprit and the secrets they had buried. © Phantom Films/Netflix Many new shows graced the screen, old shows came back starring our adored and abhorred characters; 'Stranger Things' was back for Round 2 and so was Midge Maisel (but on the stage). Unfortunately, Dany didn't return last year to treat us with a dragon sighting, though she will do so this year with Jon by her side. © Netflix /21 Laps Entertainment © Amazon Video/Amazon Studios/Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions We found a few favourites like Bunty from 'Sacred Games' with his omnipresent chhatri and Ganesh Gaitonde who showed us that love should know no bounds. Kukko made a fantastic statement for queer representation on TV. © Phantom Films/Netflix © Phantom Films/Netflix 'Mirzapur', Amazon Prime Video India's answer to 'Sacred Games', with its violent and wicked storyline focusing on arms trafficking, found favor with the audience (but not as much as 'Sacred Games'). With memes galore and unending praise for the characters, 2018 was a surefire year for storytelling and unique characters. I think fictional characters have the best life; they live on in the minds of people long after they have gone away. Talking about characters in these shows, we were provided with a plethora of options which made choosing something to watch extremely difficult and taxing. But the bingers we are, we devoured all these shows like Cersei does with her wine or Ethan did with that chocolate bar on Yom Kippur. 2019 has to carry the legacy of its predecessor and continue the stories of the characters we saw on screen and fell in love with; some good, some bad and some completely mad. With speculations and predictions running high, here are 10 such characters whose life stories we are looking forward to in 2019: Note: Spoilers ahead. This post is chock-block of spoilers. Read at your own risk: 1. Sartaj Singh (Sacred Games): Troubled cop Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) had a major breakthrough in the final episode of Season 1. Sartaj has gone from strength to strength and grown into a more confident person, a departure from his personality in Episode 1. Now that he has unearthed the secret of the arms trade connected to the Home Minister, what other corruption and crime scams will he uncover? Will he be able to find out who Zoya is? © Phantom Films/Netflix Let's hope he finds out the true motive behind his father's softness for Gaitonde. The more important question is: How is he dealing with Katekar's death? :P Now that has a clear idea of what is to come, will he be able to save the city before it's too late? Seeing that he has only 14 days to do the impossible, we hope that Sartaj's newfound self-assurance works well for him and the people who might be in the danger of a nuclear war. 2. Guruji (Sacred Games): Will the elusive Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi) finally get more time screen? Gaitonde's (supposed?) death qualifies Guruji to become the lead villain in the series. What heinous plans does he have in mind for Mumbai now and will his masterplan work? The curious iconography that Sartaj uncovers is a symbol of Guruji. What does the mandala entail? Does it have a more sinister connotation than hinted? Does he have any links to Zoya Mirza? © Phantom Films/Netflix Gaitonde's third father figure is said to have a meatier part in Season 2. Let's wait to see what fresh hell he has planned for us to witness. 3. Midge Maisel and Susie Myerson (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel): The quirky Mrs. Maisel is coming back with a bang! Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) seems to have finally found a break; she will be opening for singer Shy Baldwin. Now that her family has been let on to the secret, will Midge be attuned to spreading her horizons? How is that going to affect her newly-turned, gone “full-on breaking bad” father, Abe Weissman and her delightfully neurotic momzilla, Rose? What about Benjamin? Will he return to Midge's life? We would love to see how that unfurls. The last episode left out a lot of strings to be tied. An important arc to be seen is whether Midge will get back together with Joel. © Amazon Video/Amazon Studios/Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions Like Midge, Susie's life seems to be going to a better place. After her altercation with Sophie Lennon, she gets an offer by Sophie to represent her. The image of Susie (Alex Borstein) in a fur coat walking out of Sophie's house with a bewildered expression is the best part of Season 2. Will she accept the offer, or has she done it already? The dynamic in their relationship seems to be a tad bit bitter and we hope we get to see the drama that it will lead to in Season 3. Will Susie and Midge finally be able to earn some money and become famous? We just hope. 4. Ganesh Gaitonde (Sacred Games): Is he really dead or did he have a sort of resurrection planned with Guruji? What was his bunker really for? © Phantom Films/Netflix Whatever he had planned seems to have gone horribly wrong. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is set to return as the OG underbelly king, whether he will tell his story from behind the grave is still uncertain, though we will like to see more of Gaitonde and the story of his rise to power and the years before he returns, after being kidnapped. Also, what was his relationship with Sartaj's father? In any case, Ganesh Gaitonde is one of the most anticipated characters to return to screen in 2019 and people can hardly wait. 5. Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and the Lannister siblings (Game of Thrones): The highly anticipated last season of the show is sure to be the best of the lot. There is a myriad of characters whose storylines intersect and make the intense puzzle complete, but it is these five who are hell-bent on conquering the throne. Jon's arc which has been highlighted since the beginning has become more invigorating. Now that he has sought an alliance with Daenerys, it will be interesting to see how the next events pan out. Will he be able to defeat the Night King? © HBO What will happen when he finds out his true origin of being Aegon Targaryen? Daenerys has always wanted to become the Queen, but how will it affect her stature now that there's another Targaryen alive? That too, her nephew and lover! With one of her dragons on the Night King's side, how will she cope with fighting one of her babies? We already know now that Sansa isn't a great fan of Dany. Things look dismal for her. What is up with Tyrion and his odd behaviour? Are his loyalties shifting? Jaime has left the comfort of the Red Keep and is travelling North. Now that Jaime has left his sister's side will he be joining the Starks? Wine connoisseur, Queen Cersei seems to be content with her illegitimate capture of the throne, but distress has found her in the form of her brother and lover, Jaime leaving her. Is it really Jaime's baby that she is carrying or is it a hoax? Will she actually help fight the war against the White Walkers? Well, we can only know in April. 6. The Gang in Stranger Things (Stranger Things): Eleven is back with the nerd gang of Hawkins and everything seems to be going well. Except, everything is going to change. With Will Byers still afraid after his stint with the monster from Upside Down, Jonathan and Nancy starting a relationship, the story is delving deeper into the sleepy town. Michael is happy, so does Lucas with Max. Everyone seems to be calm. But is it the indication of the storm to come? Important question: What about the mother hen of the group, Steve Harrington? And is he going to try to win Nancy back? We love a love triangle a-brewing. © Netflix/21 Laps Entertainment I hope there are a lot of precious scenes which show the camaraderie and bromance between Steve and Dustin grow even more. Perhaps, he'll teach him how to babysit with perfection! :P Will Hopper and Joyce get together finally? Will Will ever be able to defeat the Demogorgon? One of the most exciting series on the list for sure with the quirkiest of characters. 7. Anne Shirley-Cuthbert (Anne with an E): Anne seems to be growing into quite the intelligent young woman, along with the support of her friends and family. Will we finally see Anne breaking off from her terrible past, whose flashbacks still haunt her? We need to see that. The third season is likely to focus on her education and the other perils growing up brings with it. Just imagine how many fancy, grandiose words she must have learnt, and written the most beautiful of stories. Her budding friendship with Gilbert Blythe is also an important storyline which will be pursued. Also, the chemistry between Anne and Diana is a treat to watch; I suspect both will cook up some new mischief in Green Gables, aided by Jerry. We also want Cole to be back! © Netflix/CBC Watching her grow and prosper, from the young, afraid orphan into the apple of the eyes of Avonlea's people, makes you root for her more strongly. With her radical thinking and unbending spirit, we do hope Anne goes on to become the Anne we love from the books. Coming back in 2019, Anne will be 16 and ready to follow her own path; perhaps she will become like Miss Stacy or an author. 8. Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret (The Crown): Claire Foy's farewell (which was sad, and I still can't believe they replaced her and the other actors) from the show has paved way for Olivia Coleman's reign as the Sovereign. We will see Queen Elizabeth II in her middle-age and how far she has come in her role of safeguarding the Crown. A more mature Elizabeth is sure to change a lot of things around (we hope the Corgis make a comeback :P) and must have become mellower, but only in appearance, not in spirit. Interesting to watch will be her dynamic with the new, female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher and the unofficial feud which they were rumoured to have. © Netflix/Sony Pictures Television Another intriguing arc will be her growth in her role as Queen and her relationship with her husband which seemed strained in the last season, and her children and their partners, especially Princess Diana. A character who will play a pivotal role hereafter is the willful Princess Margaret (Helena Bonham Carter, previously played by Vanessa Kirby), with her very public divorce to Lord Snowdon. Another blow to the already frail royalty. Carter is sure to play the character with her trademark finesse. © Netflix/Sony Pictures Television 9. Sheila and Joel (Santa Clarita Diet): Sheila Hammond (Drew Barrymore) is still a zombie at the end of Season 2 and there seems to be no cure for it. Joel (Timothy Olyphant) has tried everything in his power to bring her back to her human form but seems to have made peace with the fact that it may not happen. © Netflix So, we hope Sheila remains a zombie for the next season as well and carries on her spirited “criminal hunt-and-eat extravaganza”, with perennial support from the ever-dependable Joel Now that she has a devotee in the form of the police chief Anne, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Will she be able to connect with her daughter Abby, all eccentricities aside? Will Joel ever get his human Sheila back? Wait and watch! 10. Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher): Starring (ex)Superman Henry Cavill, this Netflix original is based on The Witcher book series. Henry looks menacing as Geralt, and rightly so since he plays a monster hunter. The series will chronicle his life as a lonely hunter in the Continent, helping people get rid of monsters, eventually falling in love with the beautiful sorceress, Yennefer of Vengerberg, and adopting Princess Ciri who has a terrible secret which will change his life. © Netflix/Kapital Entertainment We eagerly wait for Cavill, with his charismatic presence to enthral us by portraying a character we love. The amount of time awaiting these characters to grace the screen seems like an eternity. So, which one of them are you waiting for? :D
  7. If you have been an ardent fan of the Indian cricket team in late 1990s and early 2000s, you would despise it whenever Matthew Hayden took to the crease against our bowlers. Hell, even the Men in Blue needed to rattle their brains in order to get this legend of a cricketer to return to the locker room. Such a terror was the former Aussie skipper. However, ever since the Indian Premier League (IPL) began in 2008, Hayden, who batted for Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings for the first three years (2008-10) before retiring, was welcomed by the people of Chennai with open arms because of the level of success he brought to the “whistle podu” franchise. Finally, when Hayden took to the commentary box to stay connected to the game he loves so much and show off his speaking skills, he truly became one of our favourites. Also, there is something about tall, international players in 'lungis' that no Indian fan can get over, period. We have to make them one of our own once they have worn lungi in public, it's an unspoken code. Well, that's exactly what the 6'1'' athlete from Down Under did a couple of days ago when he was spotted at Chennai's heavily populated area of T Nagar, shopping. Disguised in fake beard and mustache, Haydos covered his head with a fisherman's hat, looking all dapper in a brand new lungi. View this post on Instagram Bit of undercover shopping at T Nagar Street Mall in Chennai @starsportsindia @iplt20 @chennaiipl A post shared by Matthew Hayden (@haydos359) on Apr 1, 2019 at 8:10am PDT “Bit of undercover shopping at T Nagar Street Mall in Chennai,” wrote the Australian on his Instagram post. But, why go through the trouble to stick fake hairs to your face, only to head out in the public? According to an interview with the Times of India, Hayden was challenged to do so by his buddy and former Australian teammate Shane Warne. “It was a challenge by Warne to buy items for under Rs 1000. That's why I went around the market to buy some lungis, shirts, Rajini sunnies and a watch,” he said. Hayden was also assisted by a local boy, whom he remembered to thank for winning the bet: “I paid the boy Rs 100. And I can proudly tell you that I won the challenge (with Warne).”

  9. 'Love, Death & Robots' is the kind of show that introduces you to an itch you didn't know needed to be scratched. The 18 episode long NSFW anthology is the perfect show for adults with a dark sense of humour, with an adequate thirst for gore and distressing content to go with it. (No wonder they put up 'This film is for messed up audiences' right at the beginning of the trailer.) As soon as we saw the trailer, we were sweating from all the excitement, because this one screamed 'Black Mirror' because of its weird, dark, futuristic demeanour - only cooler because of all the super edgy animation. View this post on Instagram Eighteen short, sweet and lethal animated stories. Love Death + Robots lands on Netflix March 15.ï¸ â¤ï¸ðð¤ #lovedeathandrobots A post shared by Love Death + Robots (@lovedeathandrobots) on Feb 14, 2019 at 9:31am PST When it comes to animation, viewers in general associate it with lighthearted, harmless content. Well get ready for that myth to be busted, and how. LDR probably is the goriest show you have ever watched till now - when it comes to animated content (probably apart from 'Happy Tree Friends'.) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Love Death + Robots (@lovedeathandrobots) on Feb 25, 2019 at 12:08am PST Another distinguishing feature of the series is the sheer variety of animation it entails. Right from the edgy Japanese style to the unbelievably realistic style of animation that you won't believe isn't real, LDR has it all, and it's an absolute visual treat. The *** scene in 'Beyond The Aquila Rift' legit looks like a clip from an adult movie, and the psychedelic hyper-reality in 'Fish Night' is mind-numbingly beautiful. For example, the ending of 'Sonnie's Edge' - the one with the fighting pit with genetically engineered monsters that are controlled by fighters - can be the start of a whole new story. The same holds true for 'Three Robots' - an edgier version of 'Wall E' in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian world. The best thing about 'Love, Death, and Robots', however, is its runtime. All the episodes range from 6 to 18 minutes, which makes it a super crisp and easy watch. You can literally binge the entire thing in a day, and not feel dead afterwards. Your brain, however, will take weeks to recover from the madness.
  10. Arguably one of the most consistent teams in the history of the tournament, Mumbai Indians (MI) continues to remain a top contender going into the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Being the most valuable IPL franchise with a brand value of $106 million, MI always made sure that it stands on the expectations of their fans. They registered their name in the history books as they became the first team to win the IPL title for a record third time. Having a knack of making a comeback and winning matches, MI will certainly look forward to break their title-tie with CSK and bag their record fourth trophy. For their road to glory, here are the top five players to look forward too: Jasprit Bumrah Credit: Instagram - Mumbai Indians IPL is all about spotting Indian talent and giving them the platform, and Jasprit Bumrah is yet another prodigy of IPL. John Wright not only did MI favour but to the Indian Cricket, by spotting spotted the young gun in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy before drafting him into the squad. With time Bumrah has shown continuous improvement on both domestic and international level and now has become best bowler in the world. Being the second highest wicket-taker for MI last season, Bumrah will be all geared up to show his extraordinary skills for his home side once again. Rohit Sharma Credit: Instagram - Mumbai Indians One of the most successful captain in the league, Rohit Sharma, has profoundly proven his worth time and again. Playing an important role in all the title victories and bringing the team back from downfalls, Rohit has been a great tactician in his teams glorious run. Leading his team from the front, the right-handed batsman has the third highest runs in the history of the league and stands on the same position in his scorings of last season. Entering this season with quite a young team, Sharma ji would be expected to give a tough time to their title counterpart, CSK. Yuvraj Singh Credit: Instagram - Mumbai Indians Not having quite a season for the past few years, Yuvraj Singh still manages to get his name in the in Mumbai's list. We know its a long shot but one thing we all would agree with is that once this man starts hitting, there is no coming back for any team. We saw that short stint with both Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals) and Kings XI Punjab in the past season where he performed in a few matches. Hoping to see vintage Yuvraj Singh back is a dream worth living, which not only entertains us fans but will also help in rejuvenating his career. Mayank Markande Credit: Instagram - Mumbai Indians The young leg spinner from Punjab has proved to be a big asset to the Mumbai Indians squad. Dodging the batsman with his unorthodox bowling style, he has impressed one and all with his consistency and his success in the last season. Bagging 15 wickets in 14 matches, Markande has more or less fixed his place in the playing XI. And the thing with leg spinners is that if they strike, they can take down the whole opposition within minutes, and we hope Markande does the same for MI. Hardik Pandya Credit: Instagram - Mumbai Indians The most stylish player in the MI dugout is known to be Hardik Pandya, but the most impressive thing about him is that he made sure that he never let his style affect his game and he even proved the same in the last season. Scoring a decent total of 260 in his 14 matches, he took everyone by surprise by taking 18 wickets and that too with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Mclenegan and Mustafizur Rehman being in the team.
  11. Rajasthan Royal is the most balanced side you will find in this season of Indian Premier League. From great batsman to some hard-hitting all-rounders and some world class bowlers, they have made sure that they excel in every department, on paper. Now the real task would be to pan out the action plan on the field. RR did taste the success once when the won the inaugural season of IPL in 2008 under the captaincy of Shane Warne. Since then the team has been a part of many controversies, but despite that, they made a good start in last year's IPL, securing the fourth spot by the end of the season. With a perfectly balanced team, it will be interesting to see how Rahane and his boys complete their puzzled combination of players. Here are the top five players who can play a crucial role for RR: Steve Smith Credit: Instagram - Rajasthan Royals One of the finest Australian batsman in the modern day cricket, Steve Smith, is all set to make a comeback to the IPL after the ball-tampering scandal. Being barred from international cricket and IPL for a year has surely given him some personal space to reconnect with himself. And now being back in the RR, he will definitely want to make his presence count by showing his form, and especially when the World Cup is right over the head. Ajinkya Rahane Credit: Instagram - Rajasthan Royals One of the most dependable batsman in the Rajasthan side, Ajinkya Rahane (Jinx) seems all set to take charge of the team. Jinks will once again look forward to entertaining the crowd with his silken touch in the shortest format of the game. Known for being calm, patient and determined on the field, Rahane has now been the backbone of the RR side for many years. Scoring the third highest runs in his team last season, Rahane will be in full swing to guide from the front. Ben Stokes Credit: Instagram - Rajasthan Royals One of the most consistent all rounders in the league, Ben Stokes has worked as two players in one for RR. Filling the shoes of a full-time bowler and adding to the cavalry of the team, Stokes would be a perfect pick for any team. Now playing his second season with the RR, Stoke will be all set to prove his worth and shut his critics. Jaydev Unadkat Credit: Instagram - Rajasthan Royals Once again the costliest buy of the season, Jaydev Unadkat, is bought by the same team who bought him last year, Rajasthan Royals, but this time for a little less than before, Rs. 8.4 crores. He did perform well last season and took 11 wickets for the team but everyone expected more from such a humongous buy. We hope this time Unadkat can stand tall above all and prove his metal. Jofra Archer Credit: Instagram - Rajasthan Royals Jofra Archer was one of the most exciting picks in the VIVO IPL Player Auction 2018. Fetching a cool INR 7.20 crore, Archer proved to be a complete package for RR. Possessing the strength to whack the ball clean and hard, he can also bowl at flashing speed of 150 kph. Being the highest wicket-taker for his side last season(15), Archer will be expected to once again play a crucial role in this season.
  12. For a team that is never short on glamour and style quotient - thanks to its co-owner Preity Zinta, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), sadly, has not been able to live to the hype on the cricket field in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite boasting of some of the biggest names in the sport, KXIP's dream of clinching the IPL title continues to elude them. They came mighty close to realising that dream in 2014 as they went one opponent past another to win 11 matches alongside just three defeats that season. They were tipped as favourites to win the trophy after their spectacular win over a consistent Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the second qualifier. But, a their three-wicket loss in the final against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) broke their hearts. After failing to secure a top-four finish in the last four editions, the Mohali-based franchise underwent a major overhaul as they spent a staggering Rs 32.50 crore at the 2019 IPL Auctions. And, the result is quite obvious. Punjab is now well-equipped with some of the most feared batsmen, proven bowlers and valuable all-rounders. Going into the twelfth edition of the IPL, here are the five key players from Punjab who can change the fortunes for their side this season: KL Rahul Instagram/@kxipofficial Arguably one of the highly-rated upcoming talents in India, KL Rahul, time and again, has proved his mettle with some blistering knocks in dire situations. He might have struggled a bit in the Indian colours lately, but Rahul, in the Punjab jersey, is a batsman who is more than capable of taking the game away from the opposition. Boasting of a wide array of strokes, the right-handed batsman took the IPL by storm last season. He was the leading run-getter for Punjab last year, scoring 659 runs in 14 games at a strike-rate of 158.41. And, the fact that out of the 659 runs he scored, 364 runs came in the first six overs at a strike-rate of over 157, shows how deadly he can be in the powerplay. Chris Gayle Instagram/@kxipofficial If Rahul adds teeth to Punjab's opening line-up, Chris Gayle ensures there is no shortage of fireworks early on. One of the most feared batsmen in limited-overs cricket, Gayle needs no introduction when it comes to sending the ball into the stratosphere. He might struggle in running between the wickets, but the 'Universe Boss' can easily make up for it by flexing his big muscles to send the ball over the fence at will. Released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2018, Gayle sent a stark reminder to his previous employers by shining bright in the Punjab jersey last season. Though he played just 11 games last season, Gayle amassed 368 runs at a strike-rate of over 146. With a highest score of an unbeaten 104, Gayle also slammed three fifties alongside 30 fours and 27 sixes. If Punjab intend to challenge for the title this year, they'd surely need Gayle's firepower at the top. Andrew Tye Instagram/@kxipofficial Owing to his success in Australian domestic cricket and later in Big Bash League (BBL), Andrew Tye was roped in by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2015, only to warm the bench throughout the season. In 2017, signed by now-defunct Gujarat Lions, Tye made a sensational IPL debut, taking five wickets including a hat-trick. His bowling figures of 5-17 were the best by a bowler on IPL debut. But, with the Gujarat franchise completing its two-year term and bidding adieu to IPL in 2018, Tye found suitors in Punjab who were heavily benefited by his addition. Taking 24 wickets in 14 games, Tye emerged as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament last season. Punjab will once again count on the last year's 'Purple Cap' holder to work his magic for them this season. Varun Chakravarthy Instagram/@kxipofficial Karnataka-born Varun Chakravarthy was quietly sitting with his parents at home when he saw his life turn upside down. The 29-year-old Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) sensation saw Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings bid furiously for him. And, then came the big moment: Punjab securing his services for Rs 8.4 crore (42 times his base price of Rs 20 lakh). C V Varun spun a web in TNPL 2018. Will the batters be able to decode his magic in #IPL2019? pic.twitter.com/ha2aCjicdt — TNPL (@TNPremierLeague) 19 December 2018 So, what's so special about this leg-spinner, you'd ask? Well, the mystery spinner has seven different variations and, going by his hefty paycheck, they now officially cost more than Rs 1 crore each. For someone who spun Siechem Madurai Panthers to their maiden TNPL title last season, Varun will surely be expected to carry the baton for his new employers Punjab in latest edition of the IPL. Mayank Agarwal Instagram/@kxipofficial For someone who has been patiently waiting for a national call-up in limited-overs cricket, Mayank Agarwal has done pretty much everything a batsman can do to strengthen his case. The prolific right-hander has been busy scoring runs in domestic cricket over the past couple of years. He also looked in ominous touch on Test debut against Australia where he scored two clinical fifties for India. While he struggled to carry on his domestic form into the IPL last season, this could very well be his year. His unbeaten 85-run knock powered Karnataka to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title earlier this year. And, with both Gayle and Rahul (World Cup prospects) expected to be used in limited capacity this season, Mayank can surely make the opportunity count with crucial knocks for Punjab.
  13. SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) were one of the best teams to be a part of last year's Indian Premier League (IPL), maybe even better than the current champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and if it wasn't for Shane Watson's heroic 117-run innings in the final, the men in orange and black could have even won their second title. Known for their exceptional bowling lineup, SunRisers came to be known as the 'guardians of low totals' because of their bowlers being able to not only hold their opponents to a low score but also take wickets in the process. Here are the key players for SunRisers Hyderabad, who will play a major part in the squad's attempt to bring home the trophy: 1. Rashid Khan View this post on Instagram ð¶ Woke up in the morning feeling fine, got @rashid.khan19 's magic spell on my mind ð¶ Hattrick hero. First player to take 4 wickets in 4 balls in a T20I. 11 wickets in the series. WHAT. A. PLAYER. 𤩠#OrangeArmy #RashidRush A post shared by SunRisers Hyderabad (@sunrisershyd) on Feb 24, 2019 at 8:55pm PST This 20-year-old bowler from Afghanistan is somewhat of the main man for the franchise. His variations with the ball has made him his opponents' worst nightmare and also provided him with the top position in ICC's T20 rankings for bowlers as he's bagged 75 wickets in 38 T20Is with a staggering economy of just 6.02 throughout his career. SunRisers clearly are in awe of this young star as they paid more than double of what they did last year to make sure Khan doesn't go anywhere else. Opening their season against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, the team will depend heavily on his wrist-spin bowling to bring them success. 2. David Warner Nothing much, just a fully focused @davidwarner31... ð¤·‍âï¸#OrangeArmy 𧡠pic.twitter.com/LEkRH6XsiX — SunRisers Hyderabad (@SunRisers) March 19, 2019 For any sportsperson, his integrity and respect in the eyes of his fans are very important, maybe even bigger than the championship, itself. After stepping down from captaincy and later being disbarred from playing in the league altogether last year, the 2019 season has to mean a lot more to David Warner than any of his teammates. Warner is one of those players who are a perfect fit for wherever they play. Being under contract with the team since the 2014 IPL auction, he holds the records for scoring the most runs by an overseas player (4,014), most half-centuries (35) and the highest individual score by a captain (126) in the league. 3. Kane Williamson View this post on Instagram 'When he's on song, Kane Williamson is the most attractive batsman to watch in world cricket' - Virat Kohli #TeamIndia skipper @imVkohli has heaped praise on his Kiwi counterpart's batting prowess ð #OrangeArmy, what do you make of #KingKohli's assessment of @kane_s_w? ð¤ A post shared by SunRisers Hyderabad (@sunrisershyd) on Jan 25, 2019 at 1:34am PST Known for his cool temper as a skipper but an absolute beast with the bat, Kane Williamson proved his worth to Hyderabad in the 2017 season when he amassed 256 runs with a strike rate of 151.47 in just seven matches and was promoted as the leader of the squad. In the 2018 season, the Kiwi outdid himself as he became the top scorer of the league (735), won the Orange Cap and took his side to the final. If the team wants to make it big this season yet again, Williamson has to play on a similar level. 4. Bhuvneshwar Kumar View this post on Instagram With figures of 2â£/4â£6⣠including a maiden, Bhuvi contributed in #TeamIndia's 7-wicket victory over New Zealand that sealed the series at Bay Oval ð #NZvIND A post shared by SunRisers Hyderabad (@sunrisershyd) on Jan 28, 2019 at 1:35am PST Having a bad run with injuries, one of the finest bowlers of the Indian cricket team, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a below-average IPL season last year when he was able to scalp just nine wickets in 12 matches. However, it seems Bhuvi is back to his ideal fitness conditions and his decent performance in the series Down Under and New Zealand have to have a positive impact on the pacer's confidence and that of the SRH team managers. 5. Manish Pandey View this post on Instagram #SyedMushtaqAliTrophy 2019 Champion ð . Congratulations to our Riser @manishpandeyinsta for leading Karnataka throughout the tournament! ð #OrangeArmy 𧡠. . . #SunRisersHyderabad #Hyderabad #Cricket #Champion #Karnataka A post shared by SunRisers Hyderabad (@sunrisershyd) on Mar 14, 2019 at 8:24am PDT Raw, brute force is what comes to mind when you try to define Manish Pandey's cricketing style and it seems to resonate with the owners of the team who literally invested a fortune behind his success. Keeping aside the retained players, Pandey was Hyderabad's biggest buy at Rs. 11 crore. Playing in 15 matches for SunRisers, the right-handed batsman scored a total of 284 runs at a 25.81 batting average which is not that great, especially for the mammoth deal with franchise. However, Pandey has shown significant improvement in his stint with the India A roster and during the latest Ranji Trophy season with Karnataka.
  14. One of the original eight franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals recently changed their name from 'Delhi Daredevils' after a rather forgettable season. According to Co-Owner and Chairman of the team, Parth Jindal, the reason behind changing the name was that Delhi is the power centre of the country and also the capital, hence the name 'Delhi Capitals'. Classic. Having never been able to make it to the Indian Premier League final, the last time Delhi Capitals made it to the Playoffs was all the way back in 2012 when the former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag stepped down from the position of the captain of the team following one of the worst seasons in the history of IPL in 2011. Having made significant changes to the team's name and roster ahead of the 2019 IPL season, the ownership hopes to bring success to the city and these five players will be crucial in doing so: 1. Shikhar Dhawan Bina Gabbar ke Holi bhi koi Holi hai? #HappyHoli #ThisIsNewDelhi #DelhiCapitals pic.twitter.com/EewQPoc51G — Delhi Capitals (@DelhiCapitals) March 21, 2019 Making his return to the team with which he made his IPL debut in 2008, Shikhar Dhawan has wreaked havoc against his opponents in the league. Although he has been struggling with the bat for the Indian cricket team for quite some time now, Delhi Capitals has sent a lot of talent including the rising allrounder Vijay Shankar, spinner Shahbaz Nadeem and the young Abhishek Sharma to SunRisers Hyderabad in the trade to bring back Dhawan. We look forward to seeing the veteran use his experience along with the young batting line-up consisting of Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw to bring back the glory days to the city. 2. Rishabh Pant When @RishabPant777 hits it, it stays hit Describe kijiye inki batting ek word mein... #ThisIsNewDelhi #DelhiCapitals #QilaKotla pic.twitter.com/HdcuT9BCLh — Delhi Capitals (@DelhiCapitals) March 20, 2019 After getting accused of being one of the major reasons for India's ODI series loss against Australia, the 21-year-old athlete will be on a mission to redeem his worth and prove his abilities not only as a batsman but behind the wicket as well. This will be Pant's fourth season with his hometown team ever since he made his debut in 2016 and the franchise clearly has high hopes from him as he was one of the first stars to be retained by the owners. Although Ravi Shastri has made it clear that the IPL will have zero effect on the decision-making for squad selection for the upcoming ICC World Cup, the 2019 IPL may be Pant's final opportunity to convince the selectors of why he should be on the roster. 3. Prithvi Shaw SHER hai tu SHER Roarrrrrrrrrrrrr pic.twitter.com/HJm3uRtQTn — Prithvi Shaw (@PrithviShaw) March 21, 2019 The 19-year-old powerhouse that Prithvi Shaw is, he is certain to go for big hits throughout the tournament while it is highly likely for him to open the Delhi batting-lineup with the veteran Shikhar Dhawan on the other end. After being out of action for nearly three months suffering an ankle injury during India's tour of Australia, Shaw returned to the game in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but failed to do well with the exception of a 71-run innings against Goa. Ever since Shaw came into the limelight, he has been referred to as a talent as good as any. Being great at such a young age has earned him comparisons to Sachin Tendulkar and if there is even the smallest truth in that, people better watch out for him. 4. Amit Mishra 3⣠hat-tricks. 1⣠and only Mishi bhai. Sunday se aayega mazaa Mumbai mein kitne wickets lenge hamare DC legend?@MishiAmit#ThisIsNewDelhi #DelhiCapitals pic.twitter.com/lo8xIHO1oe — Delhi Capitals (@DelhiCapitals) March 21, 2019 One of the cornerstones of the Delhi team since the last four years, Mishra was retained by the team for the 2019 season. He has been consistent in collecting wickets and also boasts the record of becoming the first player to take three hat-tricks in IPL. He has been the most successful bowler in the history of Delhi Daredevils/Capitals history bagging 132 wickets for his side in the past four seasons. His ability to stick to the crease in dire situations makes him an essential player too. 5. Trent Boult Boult's name on the roster cost DC approximately Rs. 2.8 crores at the time of the 2018 auction which justifies his number two position on ICC ODI rankings for bowlers. In the recent ODI and T20 series against the visiting Indian cricket team, Boult's 12 wickets in five matches were crucial for the Kiwis, even though their side lost the series 4-1.
  15. Chennai Super Kings is literally the 'king' of this league as they have won three titles out of the ten seasons they have played. Despite being off the tournament for two years, CSK made an epic comeback by winning the last season with some prolific performances. Keeping their core team intact, CSK has been one of the most lethal sides in the Indian Premier League. A fact to back our statement is that CSK has made to the playoffs in all the ten seasons they have played. The MS Dhoni-led side has been cool as ever and is renowned for making some dramatic comeback with players like Bravo and Watson who can snatch the game away from you anytime they want. Despite the star-studded squad CSK have, here are our top five key players who can help them lift the title for record 4th time: 1. MS Dhoni © Instagram The most beloved player of the CSK squad, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, topping our list would come as no surprise because we all know the importance this man holds in the team. He is the most calm and clever captain you'll find on the cricket ground. His insane tactics and game-changing abilities make him the most threatening player in the squad. Equipped with his helicopter shot, MSD has every knowledge of when to strike and when to become an anchor for the team. Having the core team he requires, Captain Cool will surely give it all to win his fourth title. 2. Suresh Raina © Instagram Making a comeback in the big scene, Suresh Raina is definitely a player to look out for in this year's IPL. The leading run scorer in the IPL, Raina had a pretty decent season last year where he scored 445 runs (including four 50+ scores) in 15 innings with a strike rate of 132.44 Since then, he has been out of international cricket, firstly because of injury and later because of poor form. But he still is one of the most dangerous batsmen if he starts firing. Looking forward to rebooting his career with the IPL glory, Raina will do anything asked for to prove his worth. 3. Shane Watson © BCCI The most reliable overseas player in the CSK side would be none other than Shane Watson. Brilliant with the bat and handy with the ball, Watson ticks two crucial boxes in the team's side. Scoring massive 555 runs in 15 innings, the Aussie star has proved his worth time and again. Apart from his batting prowess, Watto will also provide an extra bowling option to Chennai in crunch situations. Adding to it, his precision with the medium bowling not only gives them an extra option but will also provide them helps them to cover the quota of four overs but also to get a crucial breakthrough at times. With that, he brings experience to the side which is certainly a boost for the younger players' confidence. 4. Imran Tahir © Instagram Another star performer of the CSK side is their South African leggie, Imran Tahir. Getting to bowl all the four overs in every match, Tahir plays an important role in CSK's win counts. One of the most experienced bowlers in the side, Tahir surely instils a whole lot of confidence in the team, both on and off the field. Though he got to play just six matches last season, we hope we get to see him in action more often so that he can prove his metal to the world. 5. Ambati Rayudu © Instagram The top run scorer in IPL 2018 journey for CSK, Ambati Rayudu is all set to own the yellow jersey once again. Having a mammoth total of 602 runs (comprising of a century) in 16 innings, Rayudu has already proven why he should be retained. Another important task for Rayudu would be to cement his place in the World Cup squad by performing well in the season. Having a robust last season, a whole lot will be dependent on him as the season passes through.
  16. Kolkata Knight Riders, being a side associated with huge celebrity status, have made sure that they don't let the stardom affect their performance. After displaying a poor form in the first few seasons of the Indian Premier League, they made sure they bounced back strong and have been in prime form ever since. Winning the trophy twice, once in 2012 and 2015, both by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the finals, they have made sure that they made the qualifiers every single time after that. With the 12th edition of the IPL right over their heads, KKR will be looking forward to opening their innings on a good note. The top five players who could become the knights in shining armour for KKR in this season are: 1. Dinesh Karthik © KKR Facebook Dinesh Karthik, the captain of the KKR for the second season in a row, will play a key role in guiding the team to glory. Leading the team from the front, DK was the top run scorer of the squad with 498 runs in 16 innings including two fifties. Having a good tactful mind, Karthik will be looking forward to at least make it to the playoffs and on the individual front, he would give his best shot so that he can make a place for himself in the final World Cup squad. 2. Sunil Narine © BCCI Arguably the most mysteriously successful bowler in the history of the game, Sunil Narine deserves to be the key player of the side. Beginning with his off-break bowling and ruling the 'purple cap,' he later stunned everyone with opening the innings and thrashing the ball in all directions. Usually, we expect him to be the leading wicket-taker but after his beating to all the faster bowlers and the pacers, he took his name among the top and the leading run scorer in the team with his 357 runs in 16 innings, comprising of two 50+ scores. 3. Andre Russell © KKR Facebook Another hard-hitter that KKR possesses is the Carribean star, Andre Russell. The Right-arm fast bowler is capable of snatching the match from the lion's mouth if once unleashed, both with the bat and the ball. An example of it would be his humongous knock of 88 in mere 36 balls (consisting of 11 sixes), which almost stole the show from Chennai Super Kings but they managed somehow. Another advantage Russell provides is his ability to bowl in debt overs and that too with precision. 4. Kuldeep Yadav © KKR Instagram Having a world-class bowler in the squad is always a perk and Kuldeep Yadav has proven to be the same for KKR. Having a wonderful season last year with 17 wickets in the bag, Yadav has been a go-to bowler for DK. The number of variations he owns and his ability to read the batsman's mind is counted to be his most lethal weapon, which eventually proves to be an asset for the team. 5. Chris Lynn © KKR Instagram The Australian blessing in the KKR squad, Chris Lynn, is another deadly weapon in the team's arsenal. The right-handed batsman has been a consistent scorer for the side and went on to score 491 runs, the second highest in the team. An opening partnership of Lynn and Narine proved to be a breathtaking combination in the last few seasons and we hope it continues to go their way.
  17. If you're a Marvel fan, the second you read this headline you probably thought, "hey. I'd do it for free"! But jokes apart, an American company called Cable TV is willing to pay $1000 to a die-hard Marvel nerd to basically binge watch 20 MCU movies. © Marvel It's not just hard cash that's going to come their way. The winner will also get lots of Marvel goodies like a Thanos mug encrusted with Infinity Stones, a Captain America popcorn popper amongst other super cool things. This is a promotional event for the upcoming movie 'Avengers: Endgame' and hence, they want someone with a high level of patience and will love to binge-watch this truckload of action more than anything else. The company is looking for a Marvel nerd who can over-enthusiastically live-tweet their entire experience and also have an outgoing personality. As a submission to participate in this contest, one needs to sum up in 200 words so as to why they are the ideal choice. Sadly, this is only valid for people living in America and over the age of 18, so well, there's a lot of FOMO attached here. Maybe you can help a friend living in the US to apply for it.
  18. In addition to the second-generation AirPods, Apple also released a selection of new Apple Watch bands for spring, including Sport Bands, Sport Loops for Apple Watch, Nike+ and Hermès colours. 19. Huawei debuted the Watch GT back in October last year alongside its Mate 20 series of smartphones. The company took its time, but the watch has finally been launched in India today. The new Huawei Watch GT Sports edition is priced at Rs 15,990 and the Classic edition is priced at 16,990. It'll be available for purchase via Amazon India starting March 19. It also comes with interchangeable straps and is also water resistant up to 50 meters. © YouTube Moving on to the software, the Watch GT runs on Huawei's proprietary software called LightOS. Only time will tell if it's better than Google's WearOS, but Huawei says the watch can deliver up to 2 weeks of battery life. Yes, Huawei says that you can go up to 2 weeks on a single charge, and should take you roughly about 2 hours to top up the battery. Huawei has also packed the watch with some fitness-centric features such as constant heart-rate monitoring, sleep-tracking and more. The Watch GT has GPS, and it will take advantage of technologies like TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitoring and TruSleep 2.0 to give you accurate measurements. In addition to the fitness-focused features, you obviously get the basic smartwatch features like the ability to check notifications of messages, calls, reminders, and alarms. The Huawei Watch GT also comes with an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, and more. © Huawei The Watch GT supports Bluetooth v4.2 and NFC, however, it lacks the Wi-Fi support. 20. Seems like Apple was able to save yet another life, thanks to its heart rate sensor as it was able to detect unusual activity in a man's pulse rate. The Apple Watch has been known to be able to save lives via features that are in-built in the smartwatch. In this particular case, the man was diagnosed with tachycardia. © YouTube The man was Science Friday radio host Ira Flatow's brother and the incident was tweeted by him saying “saved by his Apple Watch,” The Apple Watch alerted him to a rapid heartbeat and suggested that he should visit a hospital. My brother was saved by his Apple Watch. After he felt a rapid heart beat >200 bpm, his watch told him to “go to the hospital.” He did and his tachycardia was diagnosed. — Ira Flatow (@iraflatow) March 7, 2019 Tachycardia is a condition when the heart rate exceeds the normal resting rate. Generally, if the resting heart rate is above 10 beats per minute, the condition is considered "tachycardia". Flatlow continued to say that his brother commented on the accuracy of his Apple Watch “and BTW, during the 15 hours I was at the hospital hooked up to the monitors, my the monitors never disagreed with my watch's reading. I checked MANY times.” © MensXP It's not the first time where the Apple Watch was able to save someone's life. Recently, a Norwegian man was saved by his Apple Watch thanks to its fall detection feature. If you want to know other instances where the Apple Watch was able to save a life, you can read all about it here.
  21. No spoilers, I promise, I pinky promise. For the longest time, even before the trailer for the movie was out, all the internet dudebros had made up their mind about 'Captain Marvel'. A powerful female superhero is a little too much for them to deal with and their tiny little egos were not able to handle a badass woman. But, literally the strongest freaking Avenger doesn't care about that, she's too busy kicking ass for like two hours straight. The origin movie of Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers is almost here and every Marvel fan needs to - and probably will - watch it because let's be real, it's pretty awesome. The movie is different than any other Marvel movie, but you can still tell it's a Marvel flick and it's not just because of Nick Fury's presence. The 90s music, the incredible fight scenes, the adorable cat, a two-eyed Nick Fury, and the superhero finally realizing how powerful she actually is - it has all the makers of a great watch. Captain Marvel's introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was crucial before 'Avengers: Endgame' and Marvel managed to pull it off really well. The movie was basically to show that our OG Avengers really do need her after the 'dusting' and the exact reason why Nick Fury paged her while disintegrating. As far as origin movies go, I wouldn't say it's the best, because let's be real, 'Captain America: The First Avenger' exists, but it sure did its job and this movie will honestly make 'Endgame' so amazing. Here are some things that basically stood out to me about the movie and make the movie what it is: 1. It's The Buddy-Cop Movie We All Deserved Carol Danvers and Nick Fury teaming up in the 90s and going on adventures? Umm, yes, please! The two naturally got on well and had great chemistry and banter going on. And, you have never seen Nick Fury like how he is in this movie, as in, we have always seen his authoritative and terse side, but here we get to see his fun side as well. 2. Goose Honestly, the cat stole the show for me, and that's not just because I am a cat person. Goose is adorable, obviously, and probably the best sidekick anyone could ask for. Just imagine, a cat in space, a cat that the aliens think is a bigger threat than even Nick Fury. Wow, that's an achievement in itself. 3. It's Not Exactly An Underdog-To-Superhero Cliché It's close to that, but I feel like it's not exactly a cliché. Yes, it is about her finally realizing her powers, but to me, she was a badass throughout and she just kept getting better and better. 4. The Perfect Lead Up To 'Endgame' We're just one movie away from THE movie, the conclusion of literally 20 movies, the biggest Marvel movie till date and the excitement - and nervousness - is at an all-time high. Obviously, it needed the perfect push right before the release, and since Captain Marvel was expected to play a huge role in it, her first movie had to be great. 5. We Get To Know How Nick Fury Lost His Eye The biggest thing to come out of 'Captain Marvel'! This is not just a Captain Marvel origin story, it's also a Nick Fury origin story. How he actually lost his eye has been one of the biggest questions and we get an answer, finally! 6. The End Credit Scene Lastly, Marvel honestly won the game with that end credit scene, they killed it. And yes, it is the flawless connection to 'Endgame' we already knew we were going to get. Just FYI, there are two end credit scenes, so wait for the second one as well! Have fun, it's a great watch.
  22. Sujoy Ghosh is dishing out a brilliant revenge thriller called 'Badla', which releases tomorrow. Starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles, the solid drama movie has already impressed everyone in its trailer. If you're planning on catching this gripping flick, here are 5 things you can expect from 'Badla': 1. Big B & Taapsee's Strong Performances- There is no doubt that these two stellar actors will not stand up to our expectations in the movie. We have already witnessed their fantastic chemistry in the courtroom drama 'Pink'. They are essaying the same role of a lawyer-client in 'Badla' and we're assuming the performance is going to be seamless this time as well. © Red Chillies Entertainment 2. Gripping Storyline- Trust Sujoy Ghosh to not disappoint you with what you can expect from a well-crafted movie. The trailer is already gripping and has left us intrigued. 3. It Is A Balanced Adaptation Of A Spanish Movie- If you didn't know this, 'Badla' is actually an adaptation of the famous Spanish movie 'Contratiempo' (The Invisible Guest), so comparisons are natural. However, the makers have done a fine job in spinning their own tale borrowed from the original. 4. A Good Bollywood Murder Mystery- After a very long time, Bollywood has shifted focus from biopics and other genres to explore something which boggles and keeps the audience engaged till the end. There is a dearth of good murder, revenge thrillers in Bollywood and hopefully, this movie will bridge the gap. The movie releases tomorrow, so make sure your plans are set in place for the weekend!
  23. We know how much y'all are looking forward to March, thanks to Captain Marvel. But just like every year, March promises to be a season-defining month for most of the clubs across Europe and this season is no different. Considering the fixtures which we'll get to watch this month it promises to be something to savour for the footballing community all around the world. Here are all the footballing activities that you need to consider before stepping out of your house this month. · March 3 - El Clasico Let's just admit it, we can never get enough of El Classico. With the last one happening just three days before this one, there is no way we're going to turn a blind eye on this one. With Barcelona cruising through La Liga this season, it has really been a tough season for Real Madrid. With star players like Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio out of form, Real have found little hope in prodigy Vinicius Jr. But to ask the 19-year old to outperform the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez is a little bit too much. Barcelona are the favourites for this fixture, considering how good, at times unplayable they were versus Los Blancos in the previous fixture. However, if Real do turn up for this game there is a chance they will help Atletico to cut short the points gap to four. · March 2 - North London Derby From one classic rivalry to another. Tottenham vs Arsenal has been a quality fixture for ages now. With Arsenal being the inform side, scoring 10 in their last three games, Tottenham will really have a fight on their hands. Tottenham will receive a boost by the fact that FA will not punish Harry Kane for that Cesar Azpilicueta incident. However, Arsenal have failed to beat Tottenham away in the last three away games and it'll take something more than their mediocre self to make North London red. · March 3 - Merseyside Derby This 'All-Scouse' derby has become a friendly one over the past couple of years. With Liverpool's outright dominance and Everton's poor record, we all have to believe that it's going to be tough for the Blue Merseysiders. Everton, who've failed to register even a single win in the last 18 fixtures vs their rivals, will definitely take things into consideration this time and try to be a stumbling block Liverpool's title climb. · March 3 - Napoli vs Juventus Napoli vs Juventus has become an intriguing fixture in the past couple of seasons. With the Naples coming close to dethroning Juventus off of their title throne before eventually bottling it in the end, this fiery fixture promises to be an entertaining one. It'll be interesting to see how Napoli will deal with Juventus' dangerman Cristiano Ronaldo. The forward who has been in talismanic form since the start of the season will definitely boost his goalscoring record in a bid to win the Golden Shoe. · March 5 - Real Madrid vs Ajax & Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham The return of the Champions League will be marked with some fascinating fixtures. With Ajax travelling to the Spanish capital to face a Sergio Ramos-less-Real Madrid and Tottenham travelling to Dortmund, this matchday can really cause some huge upsets. After UEFA banned Sergio Ramos for deliberately receiving a booking, Ajax will have to step foot on the gas right away if they want to qualify for the next round. Real Madrid has been nothing but the shadow of the side that won three Champions League in a row and Ajax does have a realistic chance considering their balanced squad. Tottenham will have to be something other than their definite self if they are to qualify for the next round. We know they have a 3-0 lead to take over to Dortmund from the first leg, but you know “it's Tottenham lads.” · March 6 - PSG vs Manchester United & Porto vs Roma With Ole's at the wheel, nothing seems to derail Manchester United's (https://www.mensxp.com/sports/football/49166-ole-gunnar-solskjaer-the-man-who-rsquo-s-turned-the-tide-for-troubled-manchester-united.html ) already revived campaign. But after the 2-0 home defeat to Paris Saint Germain, it will surely take a true Manchester United performance of the past to overturn the deficit in the French capital. In the otherwise low profile tie, Porto will travel to Italy with the solid determination of conquering Rome. With the Portuguese side trailing 2-1 in the tie, expect the unexpected. · March 10 - Arsenal vs Manchester United With the race heating up, every point will matter. With Arsenal on fourth, United on fifth and Chelsea on sixth with a game in hand (as of 1st March 2019), this fixture promises to be a true six-pointer for both the sides. An injury-hit Manchester United will travel to London where they've had a stunning record this season. Will Gunners deny a dance performance of Jesse Lingard and Manchester United, it remains to be seen. · March 12 - Manchester City vs Schalke & Juventus vs Atletico Madrid Schalke will travel to Manchester to face the mighty Manchester City. After coming close to achieving an unexpected result at home, Schalke will be in full revenge mode to achieve a highly unlikely result. The absence of Nicolas Otamendi will not worry City, considering the plethora of talent that they possess. Atletico brilliantly executed its game plan to nullify Juventus' strike force. After gaining a 2-0 first-leg advantage, Atletico will do what they do best when they'll travel to Turin i.e. defend. · March 13 - Bayern Munich vs Liverpool & Barcelona vs Lyon 0-0 is always a tricky first leg result when you're playing away from home. If you don't believe us you should go watch Manchester United vs Sevilla. Both these fixtures ended in stalemates. Now, what remains to be seen is if the home sides can handle the pressure and come out on top. · March 17 - Derby Della Madonnina No fixture endorses Seria A better than Derby Della Madonnina. With the two giants coming together in what seems like a royal battle, Milan Derby is always a great spectacle. AC Milan will be really looking forward to the fixture considering Inter's Icardi captaincy fiasco and Milan's new boy Krzysztof PiÄtek in sparkling form. Add to that Milan's failure to win any of the last five games, this makes up to be an amazing match. · March 21 - Griezmann's Documentary © Fifa Netflix will be adding 'Antoine Griezmann: The Making Of A Legend' to its football content on March 21. What is expected to be a one-hour documentary will show the obstacles and successes Griezmann has continued to have throughout his career. Motivation coming in 3..2..1 · March 31 - Liverpool vs Tottenham With the title race tightening up and the outcome of the season being decided on small margins, this fixture, most probably, will clear who will be raising the trophy at the end of the season. Currently a three-horse race, Tottenham will travel to Liverpool to face the Reds, who are unbeaten at Anfield this season. With Tottenham being the busiest of all the clubs this month, we think you all know what to expect from the White Lilies.
  24. The Apple Watch has been dominating the wearables market ever since it was announced and is now considered the best smartwatch there is. The Apple Watch has added many useful features over the years, however, it lacked one feature that has been absent for a while. © Pillow The Cupertino giant is rumoured to be testing sleep tracking securely and according to insiders who spoke to Bloomberg and detailed Apple's plans. The Apple Watch is expected to launch the sleep tracking feature in 2020 and will essentially also kill third-party apps that are currently offering the same feature on the Apple Watch. Currently, apps like Pillow and Sleep++ offer a similar feature where it tracks a user's sleeping patterns and habits. Smartwatches that tend to have a sleep tracking feature usually last for days due to a larger battery. This will be a major hurdle for Apple to overcome, as the Apple Watch can last only for a day on a full charge. Apple may have to outfit the 2020 Apple Watch with a bigger battery or add a low power setting for speed mode. © Beddit Apple recently bought Beddit, a company that makes sleep tracking devices as well as apps for iOS and the Apple Watch. The company also launched a sensor strip that can be placed underneath a bed seat to track sleeping patterns and snoring habits. Sleep-tracking has been one of the most requested features by Apple Watch users, however, Apple will have to either increase the battery capacity or come up with a different solution in order to run this feature. We can only be sure when the new Apple Watch will be announced this year and its capabilities and see if it hints at the upcoming feature with a larger battery or a new power saving mode.
  25. Samsung and Huawei kicked-off MWC 2019 with their foldable phones and we're still trying to wrap our heads around the groundbreaking technology. Social media and forums are filled with optimists as well as pessimists, and this has become the hottest topic for enthusiasts right now. Companies are ready to mass produce bendable displays, but one question still remains. How are we going to use these foldable phones in real life? How will the software compliment the hardware? It's going to take time to slowly understand different use case scenarios, and develop a finished product. © Nubia But, Nubia is taking this a level further with the launch of Nubia Alpha (styled as α). It's a combination of a watch and a phone, sporting a foldable display and the brand calls this a "wearable phone with a flexible display". To be honest, it's a fancy watch that offers more slightly more features than your regular wearable, but do we really need it right now? It sports a 4-inch 960x192 OLED screen that roughly covers half your wrist. Even though the brand claims it to be a phone, the specs say a different story. It comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, and 500mAh battery. There's also a front-facing 5-megapixel camera. Nubia suggests the device will last 1-2 days of regular use, or a week on standby. © Nubia Just like the Apple Watch, it has a built-in eSIM which you can use for calls, texts, and all that other stuff SIM cards can do. It is water resistant, has activity and sleep-tracking along with a heart-rate sensor. Well, you can see movies on the watch if you don't mind standing with your arm lifted at the right angle all the time. And, the OS is custom built. Meaning, don't expect kick-ass app support anytime soon. The OS gets voice controls, air gestures, and other intuitive controls, but we're yet to see how smooth they really are. © Nubia On paper, the watch sounds exciting but lacks any practical usage. Yes, it is technically a "phone", but then the same can be said about the Apple Watch LTE as well. The watch costs a whopping €549 (Rs 44,000) in Europe and expected to ship from the third quarter of this year. Brands need to stop blindly following trends and think about delivering a usable product. You may manage to house a foldable display, but will it offer anything substantially better to the user in day-to-day life?
