  1. Ever since winning the competition in 1992, the Pakistani cricket team has found themselves chasing the elusive ICC World Cup trophy. Despite boasting some of the best bowlers and capable batsmen in their side, Pakistan has struggled to live up to the billing. But, the last few years surely gave their fans some hope which in turn allowed them to dream on in big tournaments. Their astounding triumph over arch-rivals India in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy surely promised of big and better things in the future. Thus, when they geared up to compete in the 2019 edition of the World Cup, despite not being tipped as one of the title contenders, Pakistan's unpredictable nature would've had the rival sides on their toes. A shambolic seven-wicket loss against equally unpredictable West Indies did get their fans worried for a moment. But, their superlative effort that allowed them to stun hosts England in their second game would have lifted the mood in their camp. Following a spectacular comeback, Pakistan were left frustrated after their third match against Sri Lanka was abandoned due to rain. © Reuters It was surely quite unfortunate for Pakistan who would have fancied two crucial points against a weak opposition like Sri Lanka, especially after gaining some much-needed momentum in the tournament. “As a team we really wanted to play this match, especially after gaining momentum with the win against England. It is unfortunate that we were not able to play," skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed said after sharing points with the Lankans. But, the Pakistan captain didn't stop there. Delivering a stern, yet needless, warning to other teams in the tournament, Sarfaraz said: “Our next match is against Australia. Every team is scared about Pakistan. Like other teams in the tournament they are also a tough opponent and they also have momentum as they have won their first two matches". His comments, at that time, made him butt of all jokes on the social media as cricket fans from across the globe slammed him for his baseless threat. Unfortunately for Sarfaraz, his boisterous claim came back to haunt him following his team's 41-run defeat against Australia in their fourth match at Taunton. © Reuters For a team that was labelled as 'scary for other sides' by its captain, Pakistan looked far from the champion brigade that hammered England earlier in the tournament. In what turned out to be a comedy of errors, Pakistan squandered their lead, having won the toss, as their pace attack produced one of their loosest performances in recent times. Barring Mohammad Amir, the likes of Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi and Wahab Riaz looked ordinary in conditions that were conducive to quicks. While Amir exerted pressure with his impeccable line and length at one end, the trio of Pakistani pacers allowed the Aussie batsmen to score freely, owing to their poor lengths, at the other. This Guy is the Mood of whole Awaam watching the teams fielding.... pic.twitter.com/RK9OTGQlXb — Taimoor Zaman (@taimoorze) June 12, 2019 If that wasn't enough, their poor fielding further cut a sorry figure. Asif Ali's butterfingers got him in the spotlight after he dropped two crucial catches in the field. The first chance came in the 13th over when he gave Aaron Finch a second life after dropping him in the slip cordon. The second one, an absolute sitter at the fence, gave a life to centurion David Warner whose upper-cut went straight into the hands of Ali, only to be put down. And then, there were misfields too, even from usually steady and safe Shoaib Malik. © Reuters Despite their frailties, Pakistani bowlers did fairly well to recover in the death overs to restrict Australia to 307 runs. Now the onus was on their batting unit to script a successful run-chase in a bid to make up for their shoddy effort in the first-half of the game. Following the soft dismissal of opener Fakhar Zaman early on, Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam stabilised their chase with a 54-run partnership. But, just when Pakistan began to get going, Azam's poor shot selection, derived in a response from Nathan Coulter-Nile's bouncer, gave the Aussies a vital breakthrough. It was the Aussies who had the last laugh though with Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Kane Richardson doing the bulk of the damage. Watch the wickets fall ð⤵#CmonAussie #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/SEAUsMzwUb — ICC (@ICC) June 12, 2019 After losing their best batsman, Pakistan began rebuilding again, this time, through a 80-run partnership between Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez. But, again, Pakistan found themselves on the backfoot as yet another set batsman lost his wicket in a soft dismissal. Out of all the bowlers, Hafeez handed his wicket part-timer Finch after hitting a full-toss straight down the throat of deep square leg. Pakistan have slipped from 136/2 to 160/6! Australia's game to lose? #AUSvPAK LIVE ð https://t.co/RyjNER1Rlx pic.twitter.com/qiuf7IDhBC — ICC (@ICC) June 12, 2019 At a time when they needed key partnership, Pakistan kept on losing wickets in a fashion unfathomable to their fans. Skipper Sarfaraz did find an unlikely support in Wahab Riaz in the later stages, but it just wasn't enough to get them over the line. Coming off a long rest, Pakistan were expected to put up a good show (if skipper Sarfaraz's boisterous claims are to be taken seriously). But, sadly, it wasn't the case. Reasons behind Pakistan's loss 1) 4 specialist bowlers only 2) Three dropped catches 3) Bowled too short in first half 4) Over reliance on senior batsmen Shadab as 5th bowler would have saved 20 runs or Haris as extra batsman would have scored 30-40 runs. #AusvPak — Mazher Arshad (@MazherArshad) June 12, 2019 To put things into perspective, Pakistan have now dropped eight catches in four matches so far in the tournament. Asif Ali's first dropped chance cost Pakistan 25 runs (as per ESPNcricinfo's Luck Index). On the other hand, their misfields cost them seven runs in the field. And, the fact that Pakistan ultimately lost by 41 runs, pretty much sums up their ordeal. In the end, we reckon, it's Pakistan who should be scared of the lacklustre brigade that turned up in their jersey against Australia than other teams as boasted by captain Sarfaraz earlier in the tournament. For what it's worth, Pakistan and their captain must walk the talk if they literally intend to scare the other teams in the tournament.
  2. Many of us have a number of 'hidden' talents that do not make their way into the outside world for others to see because of a number of reasons. Either we are too shy, or not too confident or too self-critical to even consider it as a talent that can be let out in public. Well it seems that a Karnataka cop called Chandrakant Hutgi, who is a head constable at the Hubli rural police station, is one such person. He has been named as the 'Pied Piper of the Police Department' after he transformed his lathi into a flute and played such melodious tunes, that IPS officer stationed there was inspired to post the video of Hutgi in action online. Chandrakant Hutgi, Head Constable from Hubli Rural Police station has converted his Deadly Fiber Lathi into a Musical Instrument... we are proud of him... pic.twitter.com/gyZWhk1lkb — Bhaskar Rao IPS (@deepolice12) May 28, 2019 IPS officer Bhaskar Rao invited Hutgi to Bangalore and even awarded him with a special cash award. “Rao called me to Bengaluru on Monday with the musical lathi to play for him in his office after he heard from his colleagues that I converted it into a flute. He also rewarded me,” Hutgi told IANS. © Twitter The video has since gained a lot of momentum online and people are thoroughly impressed with head constable Hutgi's talent. As for the man himself, he calls this his hobby. By using simple tools Hutgi made eight holes on his lathi and turned it into a flute on which he loves to play Kannada film songs while he isn't busy working. No wonder he has impressed so many people who cannot stop praising him for his show of unique talent. What innovation we say!
  3. I basically covered this in the first and second part of this article, but yes, no one likes getting rejected, but also no one can ever avoid rejection in life. The most important and telling thing, though, is how someone reacts to the rejection. We're not talking about like serious rejection in life today, but rather how fast some guys change as soon as they get rejected. All the self-proclaimed nice guys who think that women don't like them because they're too nice and women always end up choosing the jerk, we're talking about them today. As a way to call out guys who just turn hostile after no reply by the girl, or just getting rejected, a Twitter account is here to talk about everything. The account called 'She Rates Dogs' posts a bunch of screenshots that they receive and rates the guys, which is usually in the minus, of course. And yes, this is the third part of the same article because this is so common, so many guys don't know how to handle rejection and that's why the page is always thriving with new, hilarious, and sometimes scary reactions. Sure buddy. “I'm OK with that” floored me pic.twitter.com/GVtZ94e4eD — SheRatesDogs (@SheRatesDogs) May 15, 2019 Just wow. 4. The year was 1992. The US men's basketball team was pretty much swatting its opponents away. USA took on Croatia for the gold medal match and won by a 32-point margin. That side in the years to come, came to be known as the Dream Team and truth be told, it had some big names. The team had the likes of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullin among others. But one man drew a lot of attention and already had a budding career with Chicago Bulls in the NBA. That man was Michael Jordan. In 8 games, he averaged nearly 15 points and by the time he retired, would leave a legacy behind to be proud of. © Getty Images 32,292 points, 6672 rebounds and 5633 assists speaks a lot of his ability on the court. He also averaged over 30 points per game. When one hears his name, the memory of him flying in the air to make a basket stands out. But this is not the story of his legacy, it is the impact he made on that day in 1992 in the mind of a 6-year old boy who was, well, still getting to understand the world around him. Yours truly was discovering this new sport where one had to put the ball in the basket and here was this player who was stealing his imagination. I actually owe a lot to basketball. In my school days, while I was more into cricket, basketball was the sport that I played to keep fit. In fact, while it may sound a little too much of a stretch, I even owe my very late growth spurt to the sport. But enough about all that, back to why Jordan was so important in my life. © Getty Images Growing up in the 1990s, particularly in India, one did not have much access to sports like nowadays as far as information was concerned. There was no digital media where we could get updates just like that. Back then, the newspaper, TV and radio were our only options. NBA matches would be telecast late at night as they were being played right across the world, and the odds of staying up late in the school days was out of the question. Still, the fan in me would not give up. Occasionally I would sneak into the living room and watch with a low volume when Jordan was playing. It paid off. I got to see him win the NBA championship with the Bulls in 1996, 1997 and 1998. Not to mention being part of the All-Star from 1996 to 1998 and 2002 to 2003. Sometimes I do wonder, what if Jordan was playing now and that too in his prime? We sure would have loved to see him take on the likes of LeBron James. But when all is said and done, Jordan is the reason I started playing and watching the game, to begin with. It all began on that day in 1992. It was a pleasure to watch him on the court and the inner child in me counts himself lucky. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you Michael Jordan, for making me fall in love with the basket, the ball and the court.
  5. Kolkata Knight Riders have been on a roll since the beginning of this year's Indian Premier League. Earning a comfortable victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match, they scored an exceptional 218 at home, against Kings XI Punjab to win with a margin of 24 runs. As a matter of fact, the veteran Robin Uthappa has played a big part in winning both. Getting a good start against SRH, he was unfortunately bowled out by Siddharth Kaul in the 12th over with a decent score of 35. © Instagram/KKR But this time he entered the field with more conviction and made sure he didn't do any silly mistakes, which eventually took him to the score of an unbeaten 67 in their share of 20 overs. Adding both the scores of 35 and 67, Uthappa has bagged 102 runs till now, which puts him at the third spot in the quest for the 'Orange Cap,' while his teammate Nitish Rana sits on the top. The trio of Rana, Uthappa and Dinesh Karthik provides KKR with some solid middle order base, later backed up by the young Shubhman Gill and the power-house Andre Russell, making them one of the most dangerous batting sides in the tournament.

  7. Travelling is said to inspire those who indulge in it. It is also said to open newer horizons for those who look beyond all that meets the eye. So when Ixigo co-founders Aloke Bajpai and Rajnish Kumar set out to discover their professional journey in the scenic locales of South France, their explorations reached beyond the journey to and fro from work, and the hidden gems around the area. © MensXP By the end of it, they ended up discovering more of Europe than the Europeans themselves, and as time passed them by in the flat they shared together in France, they decided to work out a way that would bring them closer to their dream, and most of all job satisfaction. Aloke and Rajnish finally made the move in 2007 and founded Ixigo, one of India's leading travel marketplaces, that has changed how India experiences travel around the country and beyond its borders. It quickly became the first stop for travellers whenever they thought of travelling anywhere on the face of this earth. © MensXP However, apart from helping their users with travel bookings and solving their travel related queries, there is another crucial factor that motivates Aloke and Rajnish to keep pushing and stay on their toes all the time. It is the ever changing space of data and analytics of the travel industry, which plays a vital role in their survival. Talking about the same Rajnish said to MensXP, “data is the oil in this economy. Without data, none of our AI algorithms will work.” © MensXP Ixigo does about 200 million train PNR status checks in a month, and that says a lot about the kind of needs they cater to on a day-to-day basis. People wish to find out if they will get a confirmed seat on the day of their travel, before booking a waitlisted seat. With Ixigo's advanced approach, they can now get an idea of confirmation before booking and save themselves from last minute craziness. Similarly, they meticulously keep track of fare hikes and dips, and share insights with their users, to help them save precious money. It's a tricky thing to do, preventing business transactions on their portal but they are not after that at all. They are looking at earning people's trust and that's their sole purpose, because the rest falls into place afterwards. © MensXP The company thrives on trust, and virality of the benefits their users reap by making use of their services. They work around creating better tools to help users with their experience both on the app and the bookings they make through them. Even their team comprises of handpicked individuals who share the founders' vision and zest to make Ixigo a user-friendly and top-end product. © MensXP So when it comes to sharing their greatest learning from the journey so far, they have these words of wisdom to share with aspiring entrepreneurs. “Dream big, and have faith in yourself. Don't give up on your dream because of present constraints, but take the plunge regardless”, share Aloke and Rajnish. “Finding the right co-founder is also key when it comes to taking the first step and building a team that believes in your dream and vision, just as much as you, that's half the job done”, adds Rajnish. Ixigo has come a long way, and we know these two friends will continue to make travelling even easier and better in the time to come.

  11. Owing his valuable contribution to Indian cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has established a fanbase that is hard to beat for any other cricketer in the country. From fans invading the pitch to shake his hand to the crowd giving him a standing ovation every time he comes out to bat, there is no bigger crowd-puller than the former Indian captain. Thus, it's quite a no-brainer to anticipate the reactions of fans when it comes to meeting or getting some personal space with the Jharkhand cricketer. But, while the world continues to celebrate his genius and fans shadow his every move, a kid refused the opportunity to get up close and personal with Dhoni. During a charity match in Mumbai recently, the 37-year-old was spotted flaunting his football skills on the field. Following the match, Dhoni - staying true to his nature - took the time to greet the large crowd that had gathered at the venue to catch a glimpse of one of India's biggest sports icons. View this post on Instagram Lil kid says no to #msdhoni ð as is not in the mood. A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Feb 19, 2019 at 3:17am PST As he made his way through the crowd, he stopped by for a kid and offered to pick him up in his arms. In a video that has since gone viral, Dhoni can be heard saying, "Aaogey?" before being turned down by the kid who began crying. While he couldn't do much with the kid, Dhoni will be looking to continue his fine form when Australia lock horns with India in two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and five One-Day Internationals (ODIs), slated to begin from 24th February. Considering the upcoming series will be India's last international assignment before the ICC World Cup in England and Wales, Dhoni will be eager to make the opportunity count and anchor the middle-order in the build up to the ICC spectacle beginning in May.
  12. The Indian Railways as well as Minister Piyush Goyal decided to get a bit sassy with all defaulters and people who dupe for tickets with a clever hack. They launched their own 'Gully Boy' rap to warn everyone that 'tera time aayega' and it's hilarious. While we loved this 'shaana' take on the original song sung from Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy', people on social media decided to make a few points to retaliate to this rap. 13. Everyone has regrets, some bigger than the others and I think Will Smith has been carrying around the biggest one ever and he's finally talking about it 20 years later. Can you imagine anyone turning down a movie like 'The Matrix'? Well, turns out that's exactly what Will did. In a 'storytime' video on his YouTube account, Will Smith talked all about 'why he turned down The Matrix' and well, the main reason is that he just didn't understand it. Yep, that's it. He was offered the lead role of Neo in the 1999 Si-Fi movie but it eventually went to Keanu Reeves. Actually, come to think of it, it's now hard to imagine someone other than Keanu playing that role. Will started off the video by saying, “This is one of them stories I'm not proud of, but it's the truth.” He explained how the offer came at a 'crazy time' in his career. He said, I had done 'Independence Day' the year before, so I was like, 'Eh, I'm not doing another alien movie, I don't want to be the alien movie guy''." Then, he did meet with 'geniuses' The Wachowskis who approached him and pitched the movie to him, but he just didn't understand it. Will explaining the pitch to us is also very funny and the animation in his video adds a great touch. He said, “I didn't get it when I read it. It's a hard movie to pitch. You know: 'Everybody lives inside a computer.' It was only when I saw it that I really got it. They came in and made a pitch for 'The Matrix'. As it turns out, they're geniuses. But there's a fine line in a pitch meeting between genius and what I experienced in the meeting.” Will, however, did acknowledge that he saved us all by not messing up 'The Matrix' because Keanu Reeves as Neo is perfect and Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus is perfect. He said, “If I had done it because I'm black, then Morpheus wouldn't have been black because they were looking at Val Kilmer. So, I probably would have messed 'The Matrix' up.” Here's the video:
  14. Back in January 2016, a photo of young Murtaza Ahmadi took the social media by storm. The seven-year-old's love for football icon Lionel Messi was in full display in the picture where he was seen donning a makeshift football jersey - made from blue-and-white-striped plastic bag - of the Argentine. The young Afghan boy even had Messi's name and number etched in pen on the back. Such was the impact of Ahmadi's picture that it allowed him to realise his dream 11 months later when he finally managed to meet the Barcelona talisman during a club game in Qatar. It was a fairytale story that made headlines around the world, providing young Ahmadi global fame. For any youngster, meeting their respective idols generally transcends into the feelings of joy and sheer jubilation. And, while global fame is hard to handle for any seven-year-old, in Afghanistan, it can also be life-threatening. © Reuters In what was supposed to be the beginning of his salvation, tragically turned out to be the beginning of Ahmadi's nightmare. The youngster's troubles began after his meeting with Messi. His weren't the troubles caused by the constant spotlight or paparazzi that blight footballers' lives. It was the Taliban who embarked on the ghastly chase of the youngster. While his fairytale struck chord with global citizens, it, sadly, also made him a target for the Taliban who invaded his family's district of Jaghori in Ghazni province last year. Taking note of his stardom, the notorious group also demanded money from his family. Fearing for their lives, Ahmadi's family was forced to flee their home and leave for Kabul where they had to rent a small room with no heating to aid them in cold. "The Taliban were killing our relatives and they were searching houses. They would stop cars and kill their passengers, searching houses and killing people. We were not allowed to play football by the Taliban or even go out of the house," he said. "We used to hear the sound of heavy machine guns, and Kalashnikovs, and rockets at home. We also heard people screaming," Ahmadi told CNN. © Reuters Citing his fame, Ahmadi's mother claimed that her young son has now become a target for threats. "From the day Murtaza became famous, life became difficult for our family. Not only the Taliban, but some other groups also started thinking that Messi might have given him a lot of money. We stopped sending him to school, and we were being threatened all the time," Ahmadi's mother, Shafiqa, revealed. Realising the ever-growing threat to their lives, Ahmadi's father helped his son and wife escape to the nearby city of Bamyan. "Last time I saw my father was on the first day we came here. Then he went back, and I haven't seen him since then. I miss him very much. When he calls my mother I also talk to him," Ahmadi said. From Bamyan, Ahmadi and his mother traveled to Kabul where they now hide out among the many refugees who fear for their lives. But, still, his mother doesn't feel safe. Moreover, she rues the day her son met the millionaire footballer and gained global fame. For her, Ahmadi's popularity came at the cost of their lives. © Reuters "It would have been better if Murtaza hadn't gained fame. Now our lives are at risk both in our hometown and here in Kabul. He spends all of his time here inside the house," she said. To make matters worse, Ahmadi's family belongs to the Hazara minority which fears that a possible peace deal with the United States and the Taliban could further empower the notorious group and take the US troops out of the country. Last month, in a bid to end America's longest war, the US officials began unprecedented talks after meeting the leaders of Taliban who are responsible for engaging in cultural genocide, destroying numerous monuments and tarnishing the lives of millions of Aghans. They imposed bans on the use of internet, playing cards, computer disks, movies, satellite TV, musical instruments and chessboards, after declaring they were against Islamic law. © Reuters A study conducted by BBC in 2018 revealed that the notorious group now control or threaten much more territory than when foreign combat troops left in 2014. The Taliban fighters are now openly active in 70 per cent of Afghanistan. They are now in full control of 14 districts (that's 4 per cent of the country) and have an active and open physical presence in a further 263 (66 per cent), significantly higher than previous estimates of Taliban strength. To put things in perspective, about 15 million people - half the population - are living in areas that are either controlled by the Taliban or where the Taliban fighters are openly present and regularly mount attacks. And, that's what made Ahmadi's mother feel that her son will never be safe in Aghanistan. © Reuters In a heartfelt appeal to Messi, Ahmadi mother said: "I would like Messi to help Murtaza, help us to get out of Afghanistan so that Murtaza can have a better future". In the digital age, while the world continues to progress further, making use of technological advancements - amongst other means - to improve the standards of living, Afghanistan and its citizens continue to be pushed backwards into the old age by the notorious Taliban. Thus, for Ahmadi to realise his next dream: "to pursue football and play alongside Messi", the youngster needs to stay alive - something that currently seems very difficult in Taliban-ridden Afghanistan.
  15. That time of the year is finally here. The Grammys Red Carpet remains the most anticipated event when it comes to Hollywood fashion. The Grammys have been giving us some of the most iconic fashion moments over the years. This year, they definitely did rise up to the expectations and didn't disappoint us. With all the sizzling controversies involving Ariana Grande, Drake and Cardi B and her pianist stealing the whole show, the 2019 Grammys is already on its way to becoming the most talked about event of the year. When it comes to fashion, the Grammys red carpet serves more looks than the Oscars because of its younger audience and nominees. Being fashion icons and believing in expression through dressing, pop artists tend to experiment with fashion more which equals to more drama on the red carpet. The men of the entertainment business don't shy away from a good head turning look either. Have a look at the 12 quirkiest looks form the Grammys 2019 Red Carpet that turned heads for all the right reasons: 1. Ricky Rebel © Getty Images Let's talk about the one sparking the most talks, shall we? Singer Ricky Rebel walked down the red carpet in a reversible pro-Trump jacket from designer Andre Soriano. The jacket had 'Keep America Great' text which a play on Donald Trump's political slogan on one side and 'Trump 2020' on the other. The outfit has already sparked tons of negative talk about its political statement and about the upcoming US elections next year. 2. Leon Bridges © Getty Images A name in soul music, Leon Bridges sported a custom made 2-piece set by designer Emily Bode. The mustard-coloured corduroy set was covered in little drawings that referenced his home state of Texas and his own music as well. That's one hell of a customization, we say! 3. Post Malone © Getty Images If there's one thing to know about Post Malone, he loves his flashy suits. They are a statement on their own and quirky as hell. This year was no less, as the singer sported a salmon coloured bedazzled suit covered with silver star embellishments, which he topped off with matching pink cowboy boots. This look was put together by costume designer Catherine Hahn, who is one of the artist's favourite designers. Pink is the new black, we see! 4. Kyle Trewartha and Michael Trewartha © Getty Images Like the Fiji water girl at the Oscars, the twins with the silver hair were the Grammy mystery people this year. The twins who are Kyle Trewartha and Michael Trewartha dazzled the red carpet in designer wear which was perfectly layered and stormy weather ready. Yes, they look like The Chainsmokers. No, they're not them. The ice twins definitely do have style, though. 5. Ben Harper © Getty Images If there's one way to ditch the boring black tie and go full ham, Ben Harper should be your guide. Ben Harper did enter full bedazzle mode in a jacket showing off yellow sequined paisley motifs worn with a broad-brim hat. The Nike basketball shoes add an extra edge to the outfit. Very country, yet very sporty. An interesting combination. 6. Young Thug © Getty Images If there's one way to stand out, it has to be to get in with the fluorescent trend. And since bright neon colours always make their mark in the athleisure world, it has to have an active presence on the red carpet too, right? Young Thug stood out from the crowd in a fluorescent lime green hoodie paired with a red cropped leather jacket. The rapper paired it with beige pants and red sneakers for the too-cool-to-care look and we lowkey dig it. 7. Swae Lee © Getty Images Popular singer Swae Lee left his mark on the red carpet with his out of the box fashion choice for this year's Grammys. Seen in a laced see-through shirt paired with studded M.X By Maxine Simoens pants and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Swae stole the show with his peek-a-boo outfit! 8. Jaden Smith © Getty Images Jaden Smith always manages to make heads turn at every red carpet ever. His unapologetic street-inspired style is pretty much what is expected of him. He didn't disappoint this time around with a black hoodie, a multi-coloured graphic jacket and chain detailing all over his upper and lower body. No one can pull off a Jaden Smith exclusive better than Jaden himself! 9. Fantastic Negrito © Getty Images The American singer wore a customized red suit with colourful swatches of fabric making up the pockets. A silver necklace with two fish hung from his neck which he mentions used to be a belt buckle. His whole outfit was apparently inspired by 'upcycling', which is using discarded material to design something that is of a higher quality than the original. 10. Kane Brown © Getty Images Singer Kane Brown doesn't shy away from some print. Seen sporting a Versace black and gold printed shirt with a Versace blazer with the same print on the inner lining as well. Donning daring prints sure seems like a bold fashion statement but Kane wears them like a champion! 11. Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith and Flea © Getty Images Members of the popular rock band 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith, and Flea turned up at the red carpet and stole a lot of attention for their attire. The perfect mix of eccentric, bold and daring, their outfits were downright rocking. With Anthony's all floral suit, Chad's floral shirt and multi-coloured sneakers to Flea's jacquard pants and hat, they did bring the heat with them. 12. Hector Buitrago and Andrea Echeverri © Getty Images Colombian rock band Aterciopelados members Hector Buitrago and Andrea Echeverri came dressed as the Grammy award itself. Hector's outfit being a spin on an album cover itself with gold star motifs all over was interesting while Andrea's outfit was actually him being a real-life version of a Grammy award complete with a headgear and buttons representing the iconic gramophone shape was an eye-catcher. The award or rather Andrea himself was addressed to their band Aterciopelados indicating that they were expecting a definite win. These few were amongst the many others who made an appearance at the Grammy Awards 2019 and gave fashion a new definition. You have our attention, Hollywood!
  16. After what is considered to be one of the greatest comebacks in cricket, Hardik Pandya is here, making a statement and hungry for runs and wickets as he returns from a lower-back injury which he suffered in September 2018 and a suspension for the notorious comments he made on the popular talk show 'Koffee with Karan'. In a heroic return against Kane Williamson's New Zealand in the third ODI, Pandya displayed his greatness as a fielder when he evoked his inner Superman to take Williamson's catch at the mid-on to send the skipper back to the locker room. Pandya also proved his brilliance as a bowler against the Kiwis as he scalped two wickets in the third and fifth match while having a moderate economy rate in the fourth. Finally, the allrounder let the elite batsman in him take over when he wreaked havoc all over the New Zealand bowlers including the in-form pacer Trent Boult, as he thrashed their deliveries left and right to go out of the field and into the stands. However, Pandya's highlight came in the 47th over when he drubbed leg-spinner Todd Astle for three consecutive maximums all around Westpac Stadium. Make no mistake, this isn't the first time Pandya has gone 6-6-6 against the bowlers to become the Devil of their dreams. Here are the five times Hardik Pandya hit a hat-trick of sixes in his career: 1. Vs Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (Group Stage) After Yuvraj Singh was called out for an LBW appeal by Hasan Ali, Pandya entered the field to play alongside skipper Virat Kohli and when Pak captain Sarfraz Ahmed chose left-arm spinner Imad Wasim to deliver against Pandya, he knew this one could be big. 2. Vs Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (Final) This time against Pakistan, Pandya reached the pitch in crisis with six wickets falling before the score of 80 for India. In a failed attempt to bring home the Champions trophy, Pandya humbled Pak leg-spinner Shadab Khan with three straight sixes in the 19th over. This performance also led to Pandya making the fastest half-century in a world ODI final. 3. Vs Sri Lanka - Test Series 2017 (3rd Test) In the third of the three-Test series against Sri Lanka, Pandya decided to play the longest format of the game in a hurry and welcome debutant Sri Lankan bowler Malinda Pushpakumara in a grand gesture. Starting the over with back-to-back 4s, the batsman determined to step it up a little with three consecutive sixes after that, while finally ending the over with a dot, making it the most number of runs scored by an Indian in an over. Pushpakumara to Pandya, 26 runs from the over! pic.twitter.com/QeOgWxBvd6 — Cricking (@CricKingApp) August 13, 2017 4. Vs Australia - ODI Series 2017 (1st ODI) Sending Aussie spinner Adam Zampa for three sixes one after another earned Pandya the name of 'Excitement Machine' by Cricket Australia during the first ODI at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Pandya's 83-run innings helped India win the match by 26 runs (DLS method). 5. Vs New Zealand - ODI Series 2019 (5th ODI) And finally, Pandya made a return to his batting ways with a bang against Kane Williamson and the rest of the Kiwis, as he absolutely ripped apart Todd Astle's bowling going 6-6-6 in the 47th over to help Kohli's Indian cricket team win the series 4-1.
  17. Using AirPods always comes with the general fear that one day it will slip out of your ear, fall to the ground and you'll end up losing them. AirPods are small, don't have anything to hold it together and losing them is far easier than finding Waldo. Ever since we've been using AirPods since its release, there's always that fear that we might lose it while using it on a busy street or simply misplace them. That's exactly what Gabrielle Reilly feared and made her AirPods into something more useful than we ever expected. She modified her wireless earbuds into earrings so that she doesn't misplace them even when it falls out of her ear. © Instagram Gabrielle Reilly told BuzzFeed News, "I absolutely refuse to lose them. My cat ate through two pairs of Beats Bluetooth earphones, and all my other earphones. So I got the AirPods because there was no wire for her to chew, but I still needed something to connect them.” I made airpod earrings lmaoooo i didnt want to post this till i had better pics but whatever here it is pic.twitter.com/4pHnc8wvfv — pop (@bloodorgy) January 26, 2019 Her AirPods are now more a pair of dangling earrings that ensures they are always safe and don't fall to the ground. She can pop them out from the earring whenever she wants to charge them or pop them into her ear whenever she wants to listen to something. Reilly has also created a chain necklace to connect the AirPods and is now selling on her website for others to take advantage of her creation. You can order different types of hoops and customers can even choose the length of the earring. These earrings are aptly named 'Airings' and cost $20.00 per pair. Even though this may sound as bizarre as it could be, Reilly's earrings are nothing but ingenious. Maybe Apple could look into expanding into the jewellery department and sign her up for design ideas (Kidding).
  18. I started as an extremely fat guy with some really messed up eating habits. My cravings for sweet and savoury food were high all the time. I can still remember myself in the college canteen munching on patties, Tandoori Momos and soft drinks on a daily basis. Health Issues All of this started giving me major issues in my stomach. I had to take injections for this reason too. During regular check-ups in my school, I used to feel ashamed after seeing the weight scale going overboard. My weight had reached to 115 Kgs then. This made my friends tease me and call me names. Due to his, I had to visit a family doctor who rightly stated my poor eating habits as the reason for my abnormal weight gain. My Source Of Motivation I was forced to go to the gym, but it was against my own desire. The concept of training and working hard did not attract me. All of this changed when I met a girl who told me the hard truth – “You don't look attractive!” Uneducated Start To My Journey That hurt me deep inside but motivated me to start my journey of transformation as well. I started to run on the treadmill for countless hours and neglected weight training in the initial days. This made me lose 10-12 kgs but also made me look weak. I just ran on treadmill without thinking anything about the diet. Self Awareness The tables were turned when I changed my location to Pune and started watching videos on diet and training. I got aware on basic topics like calories, macros and macronutrients. Measuring my food and counting calories with the combination of heavy lifting made a lot of differences in my body. I used to get goosebumps seeing biceps popping out of my arms. My supplement stack only contained following two things: 1. Whey Protein 2. Multivitamin What Worked For Me? Apparently, the combination of these things worked for me: 1. Caloric deficit (Eating less calories than my bod requires) 2. High protein diet 3. Walks to the gym adding to Energy Burn (I didn't have my vehicle in Pune. This made me walk to the gym) 4. Educated and Science Based Training methods 5. Real Food and not meaningless Supplements What Didn't Work For Me? I followed the Ketogenic Diet in between which obviously got me results. Later on, I realized that this diet could not be followed for long because of limited food options. My Final Message To All When your loved ones see your efforts and hard work, they start recognizing and supporting you. Girls who didn't know my name, drool over me now! My parents have started appreciating my fitness goals. Also, our decisions and choices dictate our progress. I'm that one guy in the group who chooses diet coke over a regular soft drink. These small choices can add up in the long run and make us achieve our goal sooner.
  19. Actor R. Madhavan is currently busy with his upcoming directorial debut, 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'. Madhavan will play the 77-year-old ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer, Nambi Narayanan in the biopic, and is already getting rave reviews from his fans for his incredible transformation. © Instagram In all honesty, Madhavan looks so convincing in these pictures that it often becomes difficult to identify which of them is the real scientist and who is his on-screen avatar. Interestingly, it took Madhavan 14 hours to transform himself into the scientist's doppelganger and over two and a half years to get into the character. 20. Getting rejected hurts, obviously, but you don't have to be a little bi*ch about that. These self-proclaimed nice guys transform into complete jerks in the blink of an eye as soon the girl doesn't reciprocate their interest. Real classy. A lot of guys tend to take that rejection very personally. So, as a way to call out guys who just turn hostile after no reply by the girl, or just getting rejected, and a Twitter account is here to talk about everything. 21. “Ye Wasseypur hai, yahan kabootar bhi ek pankh se udta hai, aur dusre se apni ijjat bachata hai.” A true blue Pankaj Tripathi fan would be able to tell exactly where, when and who said this. If you happen to be one of them, we deem you as one too - a Pankaj Tripathi fan. One, who may or may not have seen and appreciated this method artist's talents before 'Gangs of Wasseypur' became a stellar, commercial success, and Pankaj received the praise and recognition that he had duly earned. Today, 'Mirzapur' is touching new heights riding on his shoulders. Viewers have been left in awe of Kaleen Bhaiya, who instills terror in people's hearts by simply sitting on his chair, hardly saying much. But that is one of Pankaj's idiosyncrasies which seems to have done wonders for him - his ability to go beyond the written character and adding his personal touches to them, making each of Pankaj's performances brilliant. © Instagram But Pankaj Tripathi's journey to such critical acclaims and the popularity that followed comes sprinkled with many highs and lows. That makes his story worthy to be told - yet remains one that hasn't been shared enough. When Pankaj started out, his means were limited, but his dreams soared sky-high. Very early on in his life, he had set his heart on doing things differently. Of leading a life on his own terms, and not giving in to expectations written in stone. A native of a small village in Bihar, called Belsand, Pankaj grew up in a place that is beginning to reap the goodness of civilisation just now. He spent his initial years enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Born into a farmer's family, his early years were spent in the lap of nature. Pankaj appreciated the plain joys that life had to offer, such as swimming in the pond behind his house or running through the fields with his mates. © Instagram Given such a humble start to his life, we suppose you are wondering how the bug to act bit him? Well, by his own admission, Pankaj used to act in local plays in his village where he would portray the role of girls. The audience would love his performances, which eventually prompted Pankaj to take up acting. When Pankaj moved to Patna for his higher studies, he came across the charm of theatre, and would soon cycle the length and breadth of the state to attend as many stage plays as he could between 1994 and 1995. Finally in 1996, he started doing theatre, along with a night job in a hotel. That went on for two years, before he decided to get serious acting lessons. © Instagram Coming from a family of limited means meant that he would have to look for a place that could teach him for free. He learnt that National School of Drama in Delhi was one such place, but their admission requirement calls for a graduation degree. That's how the then 12th pass Pankaj got himself enrolled in a BA degree in Hindi literature. Post graduating, he found himself in NSD and graduated from the acting school in 2004. On October 16th he found himself in the city of dreams Mumbai, with his life-savings of Rs 45,000. But as life would have it, by December 25th, he had only Rs. 10 left in his pocket. Life was hard, and challenges crept up at every turn. But Pankaj was not the one to give up. © Instagram He kept auditioning, kept facing rejections for over a decade, kept honing his skills with every project he landed and ended up bagging a few small roles here and there. But eventually his time came with gangster-drama 'Gangs of Wasseypur' in 2012, for which Pankaj received a lot of critical appreciation from the audience and critics alike. He had finally made it. His credibility spiked through the roof and bigger projects kept knocking at his door incessantly. What followed next was 'Fukrey' (2013), 'Masaan' (2015), 'Nil Battey Sannata' (2016), 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' (2017), 'Newton' (2017), 'Fukrey Returns' (2017) and 'Stree'(2018). © Instagram But that is not all, Pankaj went on to earn a National Film Award – Special Mention for his performance in 'Newton'! Today, he has played a lead in 'Gurgaon' and also has multiple projects such as 'Kaagaz', 'Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai', and 'Luka Chhupi' in the pipeline, besides various other projects. Pankaj follows a simple philosophy in his life, “yaadgaar to mai apne kaam se hounga”. That is what this fine actors eats and breaths - a wish to entertain his audience, who go back home with a smile on their faces at the end of the day. His charming personality, his connection to his roots and the pride with which he wears it, makes him so much more relatable and lovable. © Instagram Yes, I say lovable because you cannot look past this man's standing wit and humour. His passion for acting and entertaining his audience is palpable, and he manages to take you with him to places, you didn't imagine was possible to visit sitting on the other side of the screen. He appreciates the art of movie making, something he hails as an organic process, wherein hundreds of people put in their heart and soul to rear a piece into existence. His honesty, hard work and sincerity have finally found a home in people's heart, who simply cannot get enough of this man!
  22. Manchester United is one of the most followed clubs in the world. But their popularity has not been a correct indicator of their on-field success over the past few years. The 20-time English champions have failed to taste domestic silverware in the last five seasons. Since the time Sir Alex Ferguson left, no matter who had the command, they just couldn't replicate the success of the Scotsman. They did get a ray of hope by getting Jose Mourinho onboard, but even that didn't pay off. And now, it has come to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - their club legend - who has been named as the caretaker at Old Trafford. In his short stint, he, so far, has proved to be effective for the Red Devils, winning all the four games in charge. More importantly, all of their recent triumphs have come down with heavy margins - something that eluded his predecessor in his three-year stint. But, what has really impressed football pundits and the United fans is the vibe that the Norwegian has brought to, what was earlier, a chaotic dressing room. © Reuters His relationship with the players is way better than Mourinho, with Paul Pogba being a major distinction amongst others. Despite proving his mettle in France's World Cup-winning campaign, Pogba appeared to be a shadow of himself in the Red shirt under Mourinho's tutelage. Even when he played, United's star man never really got to play in the position where he thrived for France in Russia. But, contrary to his performance under Mourinho, Pogba has been a revelation for United in the past four games, scoring as many as four goals alongside three assists under Solskjaer. While Ole's biggest test was to get Pogba back into his classy form, the Norwegian still had a lot on his plate when it came to rejuvenating the demoralised United squad - a job that he has, so far, fulfilled with relative ease. © Reuters Ole's influence on the side has been so remarkable that you can feel a positive vibe when the team approaches the field or the practice sessions or in the way they play on matchday. The one thing which has improved over the course of 2 weeks is that the players have started taking everything that comes their way in their stride. Another noticeable difference between Solskjaer and his predecessor is the approach towards the team and the club. On one hand, where we saw Mourinho shifting his focus from the conventional attacking play to defensive football, his successor has stayed true to United's strength which is an all-out attacking play - something that has fared well for the side and further reflects on the recent results. © Reuters Solskjaer's positive influence was also vocally backed by Luke Shaw in a recent interview. "I think you can see from the outside how much he has changed things in such a short space of time. He is just a really positive manager, he knows what the club needs and also what the fans want in the way we are playing. He's bringing that attacking, quick playback to Old Trafford. I'm sure the fans are going to appreciate that as much as we [the players] do,” the United defender was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. While Solskjaer has ticked all the boxes so far, a sterner test awaits the Norwegian when his in-form side travels to the hallowed Wembley, where Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur would be eager to put up a good fight. While the Red Devils will be eager to carry on the momentum from their recent wins, Solskjaer would surely treat it as an opportunity to bolster his resume as United's newly-found saviour.

  25. People visit temples, mosques and churches to offer their prayers to god, but in a certain mosque in Hyderabad, people will now go to get medical treatment for free. In a laudable move, Masjid-e-Ishaq, a mosque located near Hyderabad's NS Kunta will facilitate as a community health center and serve nearly 1.5 lakh people, most of whom are poor. © BCCL This health center was formed earlier this month, by the mosque committee in collaboration with a city-based NGO Helping Hand Foundation (HHF). According to The Times Of India, the health center will serve as a referral link for health services for everyone irrespective of their religion. "The community health centre at the mosque will serve as a referral link to about 30 state-run hospitals providing primary to tertiary health care (sic)," said HHF managing trustee Mujtaba Hasan Askari. He further said that since there is very low attendance at government hospitals from slums, the mosque will work towards increasing footfall of economically backward sections in state hospitals. He said, "It will assure patients of prompt, ethical and free treatment with a network of 100 volunteers." © Pexels Reportedly, the centre will also provide primary healthcare including free diagnostics, vitals, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, wound management, maternal care and physiotherapy. The Khatib of Masjid-e-Ishaq, Maulana Faiq Khan, said that the mosque will also hold health education programmes for pregnant women and provide nutrition kits to the ones who are malnourished, ensure 100% vaccination for children in the area, and conduct periodic screening for both lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cancer, kidney diseases, and infectious diseases like dengue and tuberculosis. © BCCL Apart from NS Kunta, people living in areas like Achireddy Nagar, Vatapally, Chasma, Mustafanagar, Pahadi Guntal Shah Baba, Tekri Biryani Shah, Teegal Kunta, Jahanuma, Tadbun and Fatimangar too will benefit from the health centre. This is truly a commendable gesture and we salute Masjid-e-Ishaq committee and the Helping Hand Foundation, for come up with such great initiative. Source: The Times Of India
