KARACHI: A man was killed and ten others were wounded in a road mishap and shootings in different areas of Karachi early Monday, rescue sources told Geo News.

Two cars collided with each other in Defence's Khayaban-e-Shaheen area, rescue sources said, leaving a man dead and eight others injured.

The wounded also included women and children.

All injured persons were shifted to Jinnah Hospital, where they remain under treatment.

Shootings

A man was injured as a result of firing in Orangi Town's Aligarh Market area of the city, rescue sources said, adding that the incident occurred during a robbery attempt.

They said the robbers barged into a house, wherein they fired on a man who resisted their attempt to take away valuables.

Another person was wounded because of firing in the city's Sukkan area, according to rescue sources.
