The quantity and quality of movies that are being produced by Marvel has been increasing each year, much to the delight of the fans. Bringing some of the world's most loved comic book heroes on the big screen in the form of a blockbuster movie is nothing short of Herculean, but Marvel does it and does it with finesse.

And with that, we get to see some of the finest actors of Hollywood in the form of superheroes, which honestly, acts as the icing on top of the cake. But when it comes to talking about the gem of Marvel, the first name that pops to the mind is none other than Robert Downey Jr.

In case you disagree, let us tell you that Robert, who is a big martial arts fan, has been practicing Wing Chun since 2003 and does most of his action sequences himself.

When he made his debut as Iron Man in 2008, he probably would not have thought that he'd able to surpass some legendary actors and reach this point in his life. But with him proving that no one else besides him could have played Iron Man, we agree with rest of the voters out there that he definitely deserves this.

He's gone on to have two Iron Man sequels which just proved his popularity among the audience. We also saw Tony Stark in all his glory in 'The Avengers', 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron', and 'Captain America: Civil War'.

On the second position we have James McAvoy who plays the telepathic superhero Professor X, leader and founder of the X-Men in 'X-Men: First Class', 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' and 'X-Men: Apocalypse'.
