  1. When Activision first announced 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4', I was a bit sceptical about it not offering a single player mode and brushed the game aside for not being “innovative”. The studio chose to pack a battle Royale mode instead, which was not something I was looking forward to. I was wrong. Treyarch, the developer of the game actually delivered a game that I find myself going back to each time I switch on my PlayStation 4 Pro. We tested out the game and its different modes and we feel it's the best multiplayer game in the franchise since Modern Warfare 2. Blackout Hands down our favourite mode in the new game is the Battle Royale mode called 'Blackout'. Essentially it's same as any other Battle Royale game where you jump into a map with 99 other opponents and try to come on top. Having said that, Blackout feels more refreshing and exciting than its other BR counterparts, as it has a range of gadgets, more guns and special abilities. © Activision Blackout is something you can play all day and not feel exhausted even after a long gaming session — you simply want to keep playing more. The gunplay in Blackout works exactly as it did in the previous COD games, as it uses the same engine Activision has been using for over a decade. Sure, the engine may be old, but it still feels better than any other FPS we've played this year. © MensXP Being a Battlefield player, I've always considered 'Call of Duty' more of a casual game due to its arcade-centric gameplay. However, Blackout strikes a great balance between being fun and tactical at the same time. COD Black Ops 4 has hit it out of the park this year and it seems like the completion will have a hard time catching up. © YouTube The other thing that matters most in an online game is connectivity, especially for Indian gamers. The Blackout mode runs on dedicated servers which makes the connection stable and reliable in this mode. It's a first for any COD game on consoles and is probably the reason why it will be the most played mode in India. The framerate is solid and keeps the game fast paced. We encountered absolutely no issues apart from a few disconnections which can be credited to my internet connection. Overall, Treyarch has delivered a high-quality Battle Royale mode which is going to dominate streams and Youtube for time to come. Multiplayer © YouTube The multiplayer on Black Ops 4 is more of the traditional mode that you may have enjoyed in previous games. It works exactly like previous games with classic modes such as domination, free-for-all, team deathmatch and others. A lot of the older maps such as Summit, Firing Range and Nuketown have been remastered and brought back for players who have been a long-time fan of the franchise. You will know every single detail about these maps like myself if you've played the original Black Ops and other games in the same Black Ops franchise. Levelling up also means a lot more just like the classic games, where you acquire better gear and guns as you progress through. You have passive upgrades that change the way your character moves and performs, which has been borrowed from the Modern Warfare games. Conclusion Not everyone is happy about the lack of a single player mode, however, 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4' has done enough to keep us distracted with Blackout. The multiplayer experience is at par and back to its roots with a few tweaks to make the experience relevant and enjoyable in 2018. As a package, this is a game you can play all year as you won't come across a better multiplayer game this year.
  2. After a 4-day long fashion extravaganza, the Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week came to an end. The beautiful artistry involved in the skilful execution of all the garments, as well as the shows, transformed it into an affair to remember in the fashion fraternity. The big cherry on the cake, however, was the finale, which was a celebration of love. The show was dedicated to freedom - the freedom of choice that the LGBT community has only recently acquired because of the landmark ruling regarding the striking down of section 377. Here are 5 never-before-seen moments from the show, that made it one of the most iconic fashion shows ever: 1. For the first time ever, 40 designers came together to showcase their respective work, based on one single celebratory theme. The rainbow was the unifying factor and was presented in the form of 40 different, mindblowing outfits. © Viral Bhayani 2. True to the theme, division based on gender and sexuality didn't cast its shadow on the show. From transgender models to gender-fluid outfits, everything that paves the way for a more inclusive society graced the stage with unmatched beauty. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani 3. From a conceptual view of art and design, there were some never before seen pieces. From Gaurav Gupta's illuminated dress to start off the show to Rajesh Pratap Singh's iconic white dress, that bled rainbow colours as it entered the runway, it was an artistic paradise. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani 4. Never before have we seen such positive energy on a ramp, when all 40 designers walked the ramp as well, accompanied by their respective models and creations. It was nothing short of a party, one that should inspire everyone to embrace their individuality. 3. While the majority of us were still snoozed out at 4:30am on Tuesday morning, weightlifting history was being made by a 15-year old Indian athlete in Argentina. Remember Jeremy Lalrinnunga, the young weightlifter we told you about last year? © IWF Well, he just conquered the men's 62kg weightlifting event at the ongoing Youth Olympics in Argentina, standing tall with India's first ever gold medal in weightlifting on an Olympic stage. A weightlifting event comprises two lifts: the snatch and the clean & jerk. The athlete with the highest total clinches gold. Jeremy's first attempt in Snatch (120kg) was more than majority of athletes' final attempt. The Indian lifter, successfully lifted 120kg on his first snatch, missed his second attempt (124 Kg) but finally managed to get it in his final attempt. With the highest Snatch in the competition, Jeremy was playing for the gold right from the start. © IWF In clean & jerk he started with a successful 142kg. In his next attempt at 147 Kg, he successfully cleaned the weight, but failed to push it overhead. After Caner Topas (Turkey) and Jose Villar (Colombia) made their final attempts, Jeremy was declared the champion. Since he had already won, he could have withdrawn from taking the final attempt but like a true champion, Jeremy made his third attempt and effortlessly cleaned & jerked a whopping 150kg. His total shot up to his new personal best of 274kg in the process. This was the first time the Indian National anthem played in a weightlifting auditorium during an Olympic competition. © IWF Jeremy's potential was discovered by the Prestigious Army Institute of Sports, Pune, where he has been nurtured into a world-class weightlifter. He currently trains at the National Institute of Sports, Patiala under coach Vijay Sharma, who is also the coach to World Champion female weightlifter Mira Bai Chugh. We wholeheartedly congratulate the Indian Champion, all his coaches, his family and the National Institute of Sports for making our Nation proud. 4. Basketball is one of the most exciting sports in the world and can keep you entertained for well over an hour. The small size of the court ensures the action is fast-paced throughout. But, even in one of the most exciting sports in the world, there are some games which are a cut above the rest. These games stand out because of the outstanding solo performances, overall team performances or sometimes, even for the sheer magnitude of what's at stake. © Getty Images So, here are 4 NBA Finals games in history that are going to go down as some of the best ever played on a basketball court: 2016 – Game 7 – Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors The Cavaliers were losing the series 3-1 when the near unstoppable Warriors were taken to task by one of the all-time greats, LeBron James. He helped his team come back to tie the series before leading them to the win in Game 7. It's hard to forget when Kyrie Irving landed a three-pointer over Steph Curry, which got Cleveland the 3-point lead needed to win the title! 1998 – Game 6 – Chicago Bulls vs Utah Jazz This match will go down in history for one reason and one reason alone - Michael Jordan's last-second jumper that left Bryon Russell on the floor. Nicknamed “The Last Shot,” it was Jordan's last basket in a Chicago Bulls jersey and helped him win his 6th NBA Championship. It also has the honour of getting the highest TV rating for any NBA game ever. 1994 – Game 7 – Houston Rockets vs New York Knicks Patrick Ewing and Hakeem Olajuwon. A couple of names not as popular as the ones above, for the average Indian fan, but they are legends in their own right. Olajuwon turned on the heat when it mattered the most. He scored more points than Ewing in every single game of the finals. Olajuwon almost got a triple-double in this game ending with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. 2011 – Game 4 – Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat The Miami Heat was already up 2-1 in the series and was on the verge of making it 3-1, and getting that much closer to winning their first NBA Championship title. But Dallas came back from a 9 point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter to win the game and eventually, their first and only NBA Championship title.
  5. Last year, Apple completely redesigned its flagship phone with the iPhone X and this year, the company double downed on the design. Apple introduced three new phones with the same design ethos but one has the largest screen on an iPhone ever. The new smartphones are powered by Apple's A12 Bionic Chipset and have better photography than ever before. All of which come with a premium price tag that may not sit well with everyone. We got the iPhone XS and XS Max to review and here's what we think about Apple's latest offerings: Design Language © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla When Apple unveiled the iPhone X, every smartphone company simply copied the design and started offering it on every smartphone. Apple has continued to implement the same design on the iPhone XS and XS Max. The larger smartphone carries more weight and offers a distinct took as the design has more or less remained unchanged. Apple did, however, introduce a new Gold colour that isn't jarring and easy on the eye. I'm not a big fan of Gold smartphones, but Apple outdid themselves this time and made the Gold version look sexy. Apart from the aesthetics, there are a few upgrades that are a first on an iPhone. The iPhone XS and XS Max are now IP68 water and dust resistant. It can stay submerged under water up to two meters in depth for a period of 30 minutes. It can also withstand accidental spills such as coffee, beer and other harmful liquids. The iPhone XS and XS Max also have extremely good stereo speakers. Its crisper, louder and can also pan sound from left to right effectively. You can notice the difference in sound when you watch an HDR video as we did during our briefing session. It's needless to say that you would be better off to purchase a smartphone case to protect your smartphone. Even though Apple is using a tougher Gorilla Glass, it is still prone to micro scratches that you may want to avoid. Display © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla This year the iPhone comes in two sizes i.e. with a 5.8-inch display while the XS Max sports a 6.5-inch display. If you are a fan of a smaller form factor like the classic iPhones, the XS will be the perfect smartphone for you. Having said that, we prefer the iPhone XS Max thanks to its massive screen and better viewing experience. Earlier, users would opt for the bigger iPhone because of the dual camera setup, however, the iPhone XS Max offers the same specifications as the iPhone XS apart from a larger battery. The 6.5-inch display on the iPhone XS is noticeably larger and can sometimes be difficult to access the control centre and notification panel from the top. However, the display itself is extremely vivid and bright which makes viewing videos and playing games an absolute delight. In fact, the iPhone XS Max even beat the Galaxy Note 9's screen in almost every parameter. The screen has HDR10 support and Dolby Vision which makes it even more worthy of an investment. The iPhone XS Max is almost the same size as the iPhone 8 Plus but offers more real estate on the screen thanks to the notch design. Apart from having a larger screen, the iPhone XS Max also offers some software tweaks to make it a more fluid experience. The new UI features make it easier for users to see more on the screen when you switch to landscape mode. It is quite reminiscent of the iPad iOS version, as once you switch the orientation, you can see more details in apps like Calendar, Safari and Mail. It's not all rosy though, as some caveats were noticed in the larger iPhone. For example, even though there is more screen space, you can only arrange the same number of apps on the home screen as the iPhone X/XS. Apple could have also shown the actual battery percentage on the top right corner due to the fact we have more room. Other issues involve with apps not being optimised for the larger iPhone XS Max. There aren't many apps that have an issue with the new resolution, however, there are some that need more fine-tuning. Performance The iPhone XS and XS Max are both powered by Apple's proprietary A12 Bionic chip clocked at 2.5 GHz. It has a noticeable performance upgrade from its predecessors and has double the improvement in the GPU. Both smartphones load up apps faster than before and are also faster when it comes to multitasking. You can swipe between apps without any glitches and performs better than the A11 Chip on the iPhone X. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Talking about Face ID, the iPhone XS and XS Max work the same way when setting up as the iPhone X. It scans your entire face and head so that it can accurately track every inch of your face. FaceID is now faster and more accurate than the iPhone X as we don't have to adjust our face any more. It unlocks fast even in low-low-light conditions which are a great feat, considering you don't have a fingerprint sensor anymore. Face ID also assists when you switch phones from an older iPhone. If you've stored your passwords in the iCloud password keychain, you will be able to login to each and every app without even typing your details. It has made switching to the new iPhone a breeze and is probably one of the most underrated features you will come across. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Coming to the processor's performance, the iPhone XS Max and XS more or less performed the same. During the course of our review, the iPhone XS Max and XS scored an impressive 4817 in the single-core test while it scored 11453 on the multi-core test on Geekbench 4. That's faster than the current fastest Android smartphone i.e. OnePlus 6. What's impressive is that iPhone XS/XS Max was able to achieve this score with half the RAM. This proves that it's not only about the specifications but also about how the software is fine-tuned with the goods under the hood. The A12 bionic chips' neural engine is where it all makes the difference, the new chipset can conduct 5 trillion operations per second, while its predecessor could only do 600 billion per second. Battery Life When it comes to battery life, iPhones generally tend to have smaller batteries when you compare it its competition. That's because it doesn't need a bigger battery thanks to the operating system and the efficiency of the A12 Bionic chip. The iPhone XS has a 2658 mAh battery while the XS Max has 3174 mAh battery. Both support fast charging, however, you will need to buy it separately. It is essential in 2018 as both smartphones take a considerable time to get fully charged. Both iPhones do have smaller batteries compared to the last generation but they do last longer than the previous iPhones, at least by 40 minutes. The smartphones would last up to 16 hours on a full charge where it involved us using the smartphone for heavy messaging, navigation, photography and gaming. The XS and XS Max both support Qi wireless charging so you can use any QI certified wireless charger to juice up your phone. Camera Performance © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The iPhone XS and XS Max have an identical vertical dual camera setup as the iPhone X but Apple has made some upgrades inside. The primary 12-MP sensor is larger i.e. 1.4-micron pixels to be specific, while the secondary 12-MP telephoto sensor remains the same. The fact that the sensor on the primary lens is bigger, it can let in more light when capturing images. This results in better and clearer low light images. Apple also introduces Smart HDR which is available exclusively on the new iPhones. This feature basically takes multiple shots and combines both underexposed and overexposed images to give you the best result. This is all possible because of the new A12 Bionic chip. The feature is enabled by default in the camera app which you can turn off if you want to take pictures manually. Portrait mode has also improved as it is capable of taking better bokeh sots. This time, however, you can also adjust the degree of the blur after you've taken a portrait image. It's not the first time we've seen this, as Samsung offered this feature on the Galaxy S8 last year. What's cool with Apple's Portrait mode is that you can change the blur from f/4.5 lens all the way to f/1.4 Here are a few samples of the images we took with the iPhone XS and XS Max in both low light and well lit scenarios: View this post on Instagram Shots using the #iPhoneXSMax and #iPhoneXS A post shared by Akshay Bhalla (@editorinchief) on Oct 1, 2018 at 1:18am PDT The Final Say © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Apple's new smartphones feel, look and perform great. The company has delivered a flagship phone that actually delivers what it promises. We would have liked to see a longer lasting battery and an actual bundled fast charger. The screen on both XS and XS Max are amongst the best and are coupled with outstanding stereo speakers. Having said that, the iPhone XS and XS Max do have a hefty price tag in India that may not be in everybody's reach. However, if you are looking for a worthy investment, we feel you should invest in the iPhone XS Max.
  6. This week, Android is celebrating ten years and the Operating System has come a long way since its launch. Android Inc. started out as a company that would provide advanced operating systems for digital cameras, and it was eventually acquired by Google in 2015 for just US$ 50 million. The fledgling startup's product is now powering a majority of the 'smartphones' out there and has managed to literally kill Windows Phone and BlackBerry OS. Apple's iOS is the only significant mobile OS in competition, and if we go by the number of devices running it, Android is the ultimate king. Google has always kept Android at the forefront, apps and services are built to complement it. The OS is also open-source, meaning anyone can fork the code to create a new system. This very open nature of the OS has encouraged OEM's to use it at a huge scale, every device, whether a budget phone with 1GB RAM or a top-tier flagship with 8GB RAM, can run it. While Android has been receiving updates consistently, OEM's too have pushed the limit of innovation with their hardware. Today, we've listed the most unique and innovative smartphones ever built that redefined the capabilities of Android: 1. HTC Dream: © WikiMedia Released in 2008, this was the world's first phone to run on Android. It featured a slide-out keyboard with physical buttons, a 3.17-inch (320 x 480) display, and a tracking ball. Within the first six months of its launch, more than a million units were sold. It ran on Android 1.6 Donut out of the box, featured 192MB of RAM, and 256MB ROM. Powering it was a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor and the phone also had a 3.15-megapixel camera. Even back in those days the phone shipped with apps like Gmail, Maps, and YouTube. 2. Motorola Cliq: © Motorola This was the first Android phone built by Motorola and was launched in October 2009. It had a great design that consisted of a spacious keyboard and a tall 4.49-inch display. Keep in mind, that display size was unusually large back in those days when the iPhone was shipping with a 3.5-inch display. The phone ran on Android 1.5 Cupcake, had the same processor as the HTC Moment, and came with 256MB RAM. It had a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and came with Motorola's Motoblur app that merged your phone contacts with your friends and colleagues from e-mail accounts and supported social-media networks. 3. HTC Nexus One: © HTC This was the first phone under Google's Nexus phone lineup. It was launched in 2010 and marked the beginning of the massively successful Nexus series, an early successor of the Pixel. Back then, Android was heavily customised by OEM's and companies like Samsung just couldn't keep the software stable. Remember the days when TouchWiz was known for lagging? The Nexus One intended to provide users with a pure Android experience, straight from Google. The hardware was built by Google's licensed OEM's, and Google managed the software. It sported a 1GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor along with 512MB RAM and shipped with Android 2.1 Eclair. 4. Samsung Galaxy Note: © Samsung After a raging success with the Galaxy S, Samsung ventured on to make a larger phone that also incorporated a stylus. The product was a huge hit, and this was the starting point for the infamous Note series. It was launched in October 2011 and featured a 5.3-inch display along with the S-Pen. The phone shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and came with cool features like Quick Notes and S Memo. The phone proved that spreadsheets and text documents could be managed on the go and that mobile phones truly had the capability to replace bulky laptops. While many compared it to age-old PDAs, future iterations of the original Note consistently improved on the design. 5. CAT S60: © Caterpillar The phone is built by Caterpillar Inc- a company known for its heavy machinery and industrial tools. Released in 2016, it is the first smartphone to include an integrated thermal imaging camera and presently the world's most waterproof smartphone. It has a drop-to-concrete resistance up to 1.8 meters along with -810G certified waterproofing up to 5m for 60 mins. The phone is built to be used in a rugged environment. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor along with 3GB RAM and a 4.7-inch display. 6. LG G Flex: © LG The LG G Flex was released in 2013 and is the first phone to incorporate a flexible display, along with a "self-healing" rear cover. The phone was pretty much a proof of concept and wasn't targeted towards the wider audience. Samsung and LG have been involved in a cut-throat race to push out the world's first bendable phone, and this can be considered an early prototype. It sported a 6-inch OLED display, a Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB RAM. The phone shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. 7. BlackBerry Priv: © YouTube BlackBerry was once a giant in the mobile market, but with the introduction of the iPhone and increasing popularity of Android, the company lost the game in the longer run. It had a brief stint with BlackBerry 10 OS that was supposed to take on Android, but after a lukewarm response, the company ditched it and released its first Android phone, the Priv. The Priv had a sliding keyboard mechanism that appealed to the CrackBerry's, people who wanted the openness of Android and productivity of a BlackBerry. Though the phone got a mixed response from critics, it served as a stepping stone for the company's changing vision. 8. Yotaphone: © Yota Yota is a Russian company that announced the Yotaphone at the end of 2012, it sported a unique double-display, meaning a display on the front as well as the back. A 4.3-inch LCD display was located on the front while an e-ink display was situated on the back. The primary objective of having two displays was easier visibility of notifications from the back. The company also announced a successor, the Yotaphone 2, but sales never picked up and the company was lost in a sea of OEM's. 9. Xiaomi Mi MIX: © Xiaomi This MIX series is very popular right now and the original phone was among the first in the world to sport an almost display. The design was and is still considered to be revolutionary. The frame is built of ceramic and the phone had an innovative earpiece speaker made of a cantilever piezoelectric ceramic. The phone was launched in 2016 and housed a Snapdragon 821 processor along with 4 or 6GB of RAM. The 6.4-inch display had an industry-leading screen-to-body ratio of 83.6 percent back then. 10. ASUS ZenFone AR: © EOTO Tech Lastly, we have an Augmented Reality focused phone that was never intended to be sold to the masses. The device was a part of Google's Project Tango that aimed to give the developer's a medium to create and test various applications for Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. However, this did not last very long, and from March of 2018, they discontinued support for Tango. The phone had a 23-megapixel primary camera along with a stunning 5.7-inch AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 821 processor.
  7. Ever thought of having so much fun in your life that you forget what it's like to be sad and forlorn? Yes, that's exactly how you feel when you date a 'Punjabi' girl. Big heart with a bigger appetite, Punjabi girls are fun to date, even when you're not in a space to date anyone. She'll uplift your spirits and make you feel warm and full of love. What else do you really need in life, eh? Here's what's in store for you if you date a fun-loving Punjabi girl (1) If You're A Foodie You're Gonna Love Her Punjabi's love their food. Period. Well, most of it is stereotyped, when people say they love Butter Chicken or any form of chicken, but they enjoy all and every sort of food. Basically, they live to eat! So, if you're ever out on a date with her, let her decide the food joint because she definitely knows her food! And if you know your food too, then it's so much better! (2) She's Definitely A Fighter One thing you should keep in mind while dating a Punjabi girl is that she will never call it quits, especially if she's standing up for something she knows or thinks is right! She's a born fighter and will fight through anything. Nothing really seems to intimidate her and she doesn't care much any judgments passed at her. (3) She's Full Of Life If you ever go out dancing with her or just out anywhere, you'll see how much fun she can be! Dancing to loud boisterous music is her forte and laughing out loud to almost everything is in her nature. Never a dull day with her for sure. (4) If You Ever Meet Her Family You'll Fall In Love With Them Punjabi families are usually open-minded and love having fun together. So, if you're ever invited over to their house, they make sure you're done with the pleasantries and formalities. They usually treat you like their own and include you in any sort of fun they're having. So, if she invites you over for a drink with her family, don't turn down the offer! (5) She Can Outrun You In A Drinking Competition Yup, she got it from her genes, for sure. Punjabi's love drinking and they surely know their Whiskey. So, if you're out drinking with her, don't be shell-shocked at the amount she guzzles and still has the capacity for more. (6) She's Very Straightforward With Her Thoughts Nope, she's not the kind to beat around the bush or mollycoddle her thoughts before saying them out loud. She says it as it is and doesn't really care much for the consequences. Which could be a bad thing too, but more often than not, it's an endearing quality. If something doesn't look good on you, she'll say it loud. If she doesn't like a restaurant you've taken her too, she'll say it out loud. If you're a big dull dud and she wants to break up with you, she'll say it out loud! (7) She Will Never Compromise On Family Values Even though she's full of life, fun-loving and big on alcohol, she doesn't forget her family values and never compromises on them. She'll have a lot of respect for her family and never let her family honour down, no matter what she does or who she's with. (8) She Has Ample Self Respect If you're dating a Punjabi girl, you should know she comes with a boatload of self-respect. Which doesn't mean she's full of herself, it just means that nothing can pull her self-respect down. If someone breaks her heart, she moves on and grieves without letting people know she's hurting. There is no breaking her morale or her self-esteem, ever. (9) Every Moment With Her Is Unpredictable Yup, that's what she is. A bag of unpredictability. In a good way though. Imagine going out on a date with her and ending up in the hills or in a pool! What started off as a quiet, sombre evening is now a bundle of unpredictability. That's what it's like to date a Punjabi girl. You never know what life has in store for you, once you're with her. (10) She Has A Mighty Big Heart Yup, as garish and flamboyant Punjabi's may be, they do have big and welcoming hearts and if she's a true blue Punjabi kudi, she's got one too. She'll spend lavishly but live wisely and will always look out for the one she truly loves. She'll even look out for unfortunate souls around her and help them as much as she can. She's just not blessed with looks and a carefree personality, she has a loving heart too. So, if you ever date a Punjabi girl or have dated one, you'll have the time of your life with her. Just don't rub her the wrong way (pun unintended) because nothing will be worse than facing her wrath!
  8. Think about the hundreds of embarrassing pictures your friends have of you on their phones. Well, it sucks, but we can at least take some comfort in knowing that they aren't coming out to the world any time soon, maybe making an appearance on our birthdays, but that's pretty much it. Now, this is a privilege we have because a lot of celebrities aren't so lucky. If you're famous, it's unfortunate that your whole life is on display at all time but that's the downside of the job. This also means that any of your embarrassing or cringey pictures that you want to completely erase from the internet and everyone's memories, will stay even longer. 9. If someone tells us "Anil Kapoor seems to be stuck in the '90s", we'll agree, and then disagree, and then probably agree a little bit more. Confused? Well, when it comes to his age, he has some sorcery up his sleeve using which he has arrested it. That way, yes, he is stuck in the '90s because hell, he hasn't aged a day since then. Why we'll disagree, has got to do with his fashion sense. He has moved at double the pace, as compared to all of his B-Town compatriots - so no, no '90s there. But again, given his penchant for innovative yet functional style, he seems to be going back to the '90s for some solid style inspiration from time to time. We're referring to his latest outfit - an all-black, tucked in, '90s inspired jeans and full-sleeve T-shirt outfit. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani We think this is the most versatile outfit ever for every Indian man. Here's why. 1. It's all-black. What can possibly be a safer combo, irrespective of how good or bad your style game is? It will suit everyone, irrespective of their complexion, height, built etc. © Viral Bhayani 2. Black is slimming. Plus, when you wear black on black, it gives the illusion that you're taller. Who doesn't want that? © Viral Bhayani 3. Mr Kapoor seems to be wearing a full-sleeved Track Tee. Now, here's the thing - when it comes to comfort, nothing can beat that. Plus, he's wearing really comfortable and padded sneakers, which suggest it's perfect for outdoor activities too, should you wish to indulge in some. © Viral Bhayani 4. He's tucked the T-shirt in and is also wearing a belt (now that's very '90s, in an unabashedly bold manner). Is it a family get together? A casual dinner? A long drive? Doesn't matter, because this outfit will take care of it all. Plus, it looks super smart, but in an extremely sophisticated, simplistic manner. © Viral Bhayani Kudos, Mr Kapoor.
  10. If it's a Bollywood party, it has to be grand and over the top, right? Nope, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas just proved us wrong. We all knew both of them were getting engaged, but it all felt so real yesterday, especially after Nick introduced the 'future Mrs. Jonas' on his Instagram. From pictures of the roka ceremony to the entire Jonas family giving a warm welcome to Priyanka to their family, so much happened yesterday, and we haven't even gotten to the party that happened last night. Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love. A post shared by Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) on Aug 18, 2018 at 2:45am PDT The engagement bash looked like a rather simple party, no way like a real Bollywood party we're so used to seeing. Not complaining though, it was quite refreshing to see, tbh. There was no one there to steal focus from the couple of the night and that's how they probably wanted it. Instead of a glamourous party with A-list celebrities, it seemed more like a very private house party with barely any pictures and videos. Alia Bhatt shared some pictures. 11. For the promotion of his movie 'Paltan', Gurmeet Choudhary has been stepping out quite often, and in the most amazing outfits, too. After stealing everyone's thunder in a kickass black leather suit while driving a monster bike a few days ago, he's now pulled off an extremely edgy black shirt combo with a cool pair of camo pants. While we're all gaga about the outfit, what stole the focus was his black leather boots, which we think are absolutely badass. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Aren't they gorgeous? The sleek built and the glossy finish are giving it the ultimate ramp-ready aesthetic, while not taking away from its sturdy construction. If someone from the army were to walk the ramp, this is the pair they would wear. © Viral Bhayani Coming to his outfit, we are in love with the perfectly tailored, buttoned up awesomeness of the black shirt. While one would expect that shirt to be paired with a pair of flawlessly tailored linen pants, Gurmeet pulled off a fashion sixer by choosing a pair of well-fitted camo trousers instead, which did in fact prove to be a a masterstroke. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to accessories, he kept it classy by sticking to a classy watch, and a pair of blue tinted sunnies. Brownie points: That hairstyle. We think the tousled look is making him look extremely sophisticated. © Viral Bhayani Kudos, Gurmeet!
  12. 'Are Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh getting married this year?' A question we still don't have a definite answer to, and probably won't have until they actually get married after pulling a Virushka. But, as the world speculates about their impending wedding, both of them seem very chilled out and still behave like they're both teenagers dating someone for the first time. Instead of posting PDA pictures all over social media – because they're classy like that – both of them just restrict the PDA to comments and often have something really lovey-dovey to say about each other's pictures, that too with a bunch of emojis. © Instagram In case you haven't noticed, Ranveer Singh's Instagram only screams one thing – this guy loves himself and looks like even Deepika loves this 'self-love' and how he posts so many nice pictures of himself on a daily basis. Yesterday, he posted this collage and among a sea of comments, one definitely stood out. âï¸âï¸âï¸ A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Aug 12, 2018 at 7:59am PDT Here's a little bit of PDA we got in the comment section. © Instagram Doesn't this seem like a very “teenagers in love” kind of thing to say? “You stop it, no you stop it.” Actually, this is not even the first time both of them have done this. Yes, leaving comments is not a big deal but both of them have never confirmed their relationship publicly and this is all the confirmation we've gotten in years. Now, they're more open about their love and Deepika proved that by writing 'mine' on one of his pictures a while ago. © Instagram And, here's a bunch of times Ranveer was there to remind his girlfriend how drop dead gorgeous she is. © Instagram What a queen! © Instagram Yep, exactly. © Instagram A heart eyes emoji is worth a thousand words. © Instagram He really likes the word 'gosh'. © Instagram Okay, last one. © Instagram In conclusion, both of them are probably getting married soon but still behave like teenagers in love for the first time and it's beautiful to see, actually.
  13. Who doesn't love to watch a good ol' game of basketball? 10 humongous (mostly) dudes trying to dunk the ball into each other's net with authority. The testosterone must be off the charts. Sadly, we've never got a chance to go for an NBA game. We're sure no one would notice us even if we did. That's not something we can say about the celebrities on this list. When they're at a game, everyone notices. We mean everyone! They'll most probably have courtside seats too which just makes them that much harder to miss. So, let's take a look at 11 of the biggest celebrities to ever watch an NBA game courtside: Justin Bieber We're starting off this list with someone who knows how to deal with being a celebrity from a very young age. © Getty Images A lot of us hate the man & we're pretty sure it's for no other reason apart from his success. He has already achieved more than most others and he's just 24. Gordon Ramsay Arguably the most popular chef in the world, Gordon Ramsay has made a name for himself by maintaining an almost unbelievable standard in the kitchen. © Getty Images He certainly puts his money to good use by attending an NBA game every now and then. David Beckham English football's most recognisable star of the modern day, David Beckham doesn't go unnoticed wherever he is. © Getty Images When David's courtside for NBA games, the camera crew has a tough time figuring out whether to focus on the action or on Beckham. Barack Obama The former President of the United States is a celebrity for numerous reasons. But, the most important one is that he's a people person. © Getty Images Even when he was POTUS, he took out time to watch basketball. If he can find the time, anyone can. Brad Pitt Mr. Popular himself, Brad Pitt is perhaps one of the really famous Hollywood celebrities in the world. He has made a name for himself through his acting as well as the numerous women he has dated over the years. © Getty Images Just imagine how cool it would be if you got to watch a basketball game beside Brad Pitt? Kim Kardashian & Kanye West If you've ever used Instagram, you know who Kim Kardashian is. As for Kanye, he's been in the news for so many reasons that there's no way you can even pretend to not know him. © Getty Images But when the couple is together, their fans go into overdrive. One of the rare occasions when we do get to see them together is at basketball games. Another reason to love the NBA, eh? Travis Scott & Kylie Jenner The highest paid woman on the planet and Travis Scott. Yeah, Travis might lack the star power of some of the other names on this list but Kylie more than makes up for it. © Getty Images Any idea how famous you need to be in order to charge $1 million per Instagram post? Well, if you ever meet Kylie at an NBA game, be sure to ask her. Jay-Z & Beyonce Before Kim and Kanye, Kylie and Travis, Brad and Angelina (no more a couple), we had Jay-Z and Beyonce. Makes sense to end with the OG power couple, right? © Getty Images Yes, they may not make the news as much now as they did a few years ago but there's no denying the fact that all eyes are on them wherever they go. When they're at an NBA game, good luck trying to get the crowd to pay attention to anything else.
  14. After patiently waiting for several months for 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' to release, we are now only a few hours away from watching the movie, and agent Ethan Hunt aka Tom Cruise in all his glory and injuries. Paramount Pictures Talking about injuries, the whole world knows how badly Cruise got hurt while shooting in London, when he misjudged a leap and crashed into a wall. To refresh your memories, this is the injury we're talking about. Paramount Pictures This injury halted the film's shoot for months and when Cruise returned, there was no turning back for him or Christopher McQuarrie. Together they shot some insane stunts that will go down in the history of Hollywood as some of the greatest stunts of all time. From HALO jump, jaw dropping fight scenes to jumping 25000 feet over 100 times to get one stunt right; Cruise has left no stone unturned in making this insanely dangerous and tough mission look like a cakewalk to the viewers. Paramount Pictures However, because of his injury the cost of this movie has now blown out of proportion, making this mission the most expensive one (even with insurance). According to Hollywood Reporter, because of the eight-week shooting hiatus (after Cruise got injured), Tom Cruise's injury and recuperation, the movie's budget rose to $250 million (over Rs 1700 crore approx.) In fact, this amount is much more than the previous movie 'Rogue Nation' that cost nearly $170 million. Paramount Pictures 'Mission: Impossible Fallout' will hit the theatres tomorrow and we can't wait to see Ethan Hunt's injury that finally made its way into the final cut of the movie.
  15. Growing bored in a long-term relationship is natural; it's only human. After years of being together, feelings of being stuck in the same routine are natural. When you've been with the same person since high school, you find yourself wondering sometimes what it would feel like to be with someone else for a change. What if it hadn't worked out? If you've spent most of your early twenties being in a relationship, you miss bachelorhood. You miss the thrill of one-night stands, the rush of flirting with that hot girl on the dance floor, the abandon of buying a one-way ticket without having to answer anybody. © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images When you spend each day with the same person, you get comfortable with them but a sense of boredom also creeps in. The other life seems more exciting. Office parties, friends get-togethers, music concerts – you see plenty of other people and know it's the world out there. It's difficult to be emotionally loyal. Even if you love the other person dearly, it's difficult to convince yourself this is it. Am I missing out on life? – you ask yourself. But then you love them so much. You find their company comforting and assuring. © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images If you've fallen out of love with them, it's okay to call it quits. But if you are miserable only because you are bored and your relationship doesn't seem as exciting as before, you need to rethink your decisions. Tell yourself why you love them, why their presence in your life is indispensible, why you long to see them after a tiring day. If your love for them outweighs your boredom with your love life, hold on to it with both hands. Work the boredom out, because deep down you know how you love them. Don't get bogged down by the seemingly dull nature of your love life. Reinvent your romance time and again. don't be under the impression that real love needs no work. Even Romeo and Juliet, had they been real and lived on to settle down together, would have experienced their share of ups and down in the relationship. No relationship is ever perfect. © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images Revisit the old times with your partner, remind each other how you started. Relive your first love by doing the same things you did for them when you just met. Shake things up a little; experiment with them in bed, go out on adventures. The best thing about old love is that you are comfortable enough to try out new things without the fear of being judged. © Pexels A relationship will not always be hunky dory and make your world go round. Love is not supposed to be like that. A mature relationship is when you want to grow old together. It's when you are so comfortable in each other's presence that you no longer feel the need to impress and act. It's when after a long hard day at work, you find comfort in the fact that you will get to see that one person who makes every pain melt away. Love is when you can't bear to share your life with anyone else. © Pexels But love doesn't guarantee a smooth relationship. You have to make it work. You could be bored even if you are in love. You could be eyeing a different life even if you look forward to returning home to that one person. Because not all days are alike. One day you could be missing them terribly, another day you could find their presence intrusive in your personal space. There are hundreds of things that will try your relationship. The one constant is the way you feel. Every hurdle can be dealt with as long as you feel special in their presence. Just remember no love tale is perfect. At the end of the day, love is just about finding friendship with someone you love; it's about finding that sweet spot with someone. As long as you are comfortable with them and love them completely and selflessly, a little boredom is child's play to deal with. 16. As soon as we get a job and are 'settled in life' according to our parents, the next logical step for them is to get us married, right? That's the ideology most of our parents grew up with, get married and have kids 'on time'. Your 20s are the perfect time to get married, right? Parents' reason being 'jab hum tumhari age ke the humare do-do bache the'. So yeah, desi parents are very invested in getting their kids married when they're young and it's kind of nice to see that even Bollywood celebrities can't escape this. If Rishi Kapoor has his way, we just might have another celebrity wedding in the next year or so. Twitter 35-year-old Ranbir Kapoor is not that young compared to Indian parents' marriageable age, so probably he gets more pressurized by his parents to finally tie the knot. Rishi Kapoor recently talked about how much he wants his son to settle down and TBH I'm so down for the next big fat Punjabi wedding. He said, “It is high time he got married. I settled down when I was 27, Ranbir is 35. So, he should think about marriage. He can marry anyone of his choice; we don't have any objection to it. I want to spend time with my grandchildren before I am gone.” Yes, grandchildren, a classic reason to make your kids get married. Well, the Kapoor khandaan may be a family of Bollywood superstars but at the end of the day, they're also like any other desi family where the parents just can't wait for their kids' wedding, so their main job is done when their kids are 'happily settled down'. Twitter I'm guessing that if we start hearing rumours about Ranbir and Alia's engagement, it's safe to assume that Rishi Kapoor might have played some role in it.

  19. While there are already a lot of phones out there sporting 8GB RAM, Samsung is now taking the competition to another level by introducing industry's first 10-nanometer 8GB LPDDR5 DRAM. Samsung's components business has been thriving in the past few years and the company has increased its focus on research and development. Not just RAM, but its Exynos processors have often surpassed Qualcomm's latest chipsets in terms of speed. Last year, the company also started production of high-capacity eUFS enabled 512GB flash storage for mobile phones. © Samsung While DDR5 RAM is now pretty common in high-end laptops and machines, the LP in LPDDR5 stands for low-power and is meant for mobile computing devices like a smartphone that has a very small supply of voltage available. Coming back to the new unveiling, LPDDR5 will have the peak data transfer speed of 6.4 Mb/s, which is 1.5X faster than the speed of existing LPDDR4 that goes into phones like the Galaxy S9 and OnePlus 6. © Samsung The new RAM chip is also more power efficient, Samsung says it has doubled the number of memory subdivisions within a DRAM cell from 8 to 16, churning out faster performance and lower power consumption. "Based on its industry-leading bandwidth and power efficiency, the LPDDR5 will be able to power AI and machine learning applications, and will be UHD-compatible for mobile devices worldwide," a Samsung spokesperson said. © Samsung Samsung is offering the new LPDDR5 in two variants: a version with a 6,400 megabits per second (Mbps) data rate at 1.1 volts, and a 5,500 Mbps version at 1.05 volts. Almost all high-end phones, mobile devices, and even portable PCs these days use LPDDR4X or even just LPDDR4. Samsung has also highlighted the point that LPDDR5 RAM is 1.5 times faster than the current chipsets available out there. © MensXP In fact, Samsung has also developed higher-capacity standard DDR5 chips without low-power features, as well as even faster GDDR6 chips for graphics cards. Currently, the S9 houses 4GB of RAM (LPDDR4) and going by the current trend, we won't be surprised to see the S10 house a humungous 8GB RAM chip along with 5G-ready capabilities. As of now, the RAM modules have been tested at a prototype stage and will be mass produced at its Pyeongtaek factory in South Korea.
  20. OPPO launched the Find X globally last month and the phone has already made its way to India. This is the first time OPPO is launching a premium smartphone in India. Actually, it's not just premium but also features one of the most innovative concepts we've seen in modern smartphones. Commenting on this launch, Charles Wong, OPPO Assistant Vice President & OPPO India President, said “As a brand, OPPO strives to offer products that can resonate with consumers combining superior aesthetics, technology and quality. The Find series represents OPPO's passionate and innovative spirit that believes that a smartphone isn't just a communication tool but also a piece of art. Hence the Find X, a result of careful deliberation, testing and refinement, aims to offer our Indian consumers a premium, innovative and technologically advanced offering for an advanced smartphone experience.” The Find X features a motorised camera slider mechanism that houses both the front and rear cameras. Whenever you open the camera or want to unlock the phone, the slider pops up in 0.5 seconds. In recent times we've seen companies adopting the notch to offer maximum screen-to-body ratio, as the notch can house the front camera, sensors, and earpiece. To remove the notch, OPPO added both, the rear as well as the front camera, along with sensors on the slider. Companies have often tried to avoid moving parts as they not only increase the fragility of the phone but also have higher chances of malfunctioning. OPPO has also added an infrared sensor on the top that 3D scans the users face for secure authentication. This system was the first seen on board the iPhone X and performs much better than camera-based Face Unlock. The Find X does not have a fingerprint scanner, hence the slide module will pop-up every time you need to unlock the phone. © BCCL Now coming to the exterior design, OPPO has simply done a marvelous job. The 6.5-inch AMOLED display has a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio and tiny bezels. The back is made of glass and the phone is available in Glacier Blue and Bordeaux Red colours. © BCCL The Find X sports a dual-camera setup at the rear of the slider with a 16 + 20-megapixel primary and secondary lens that supports AI Portraits and Scene Recognition. There is also a 25-megapixel selfie snapper at the front with a f/2.0 aperture. OPPO has also added Omoji' which are OPPO's version of Apple's Animoji. © BCCL The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset along with 8GB RAM and 256GB non-expandable storage. It runs on ColorOS 5.1 that is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Backing these internals is a 3730mAh battery that supports VOOC fast charging via USB-C. In India, the phone is priced at Rs 59,990 and will be available for purchase starting August 3rd exclusively on Flipkart.

  22. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are undoubtedly one of the hottest and most talked-about couple in Hollywood as well as Bollywood right now. Every single day in their love life is moving at a speed faster than Usain Bolt. © Instagram For the longest time people have been crediting the 2017 Met Gala Awards for bringing Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas closer. But, turns out they are going strong because they've got support from The Rock.
