  1. Last year, India and China faced off with each other at the Galwan Valley which caused an uproar in the country. There was a strong movement online to boycott Chinese products in India, however the reality was far from it. Though the Indian Government banned many Chinese apps in the country due to national security reasons, it did not stop Indians from buying Chinese products. © Reuters In a recent report by CounterPoint Research, Indian bought more Chinese smartphones in 2020 than ever before. In fact, Xiaomi led the market with a 26% shipment share that was followed by Samsung at 21%. However, what’s intriguing is that out of the top six smartphones brands in India, the list was dominated by five Chinese companies. Realme saw the highest growth with a rate of 22% YoY. Apple also witnessed its best-ever quarter in Q4 2020, selling more than 1.5 million units. This isn’t where the story ends though, Chinese brands dominated the Indian smartphone market in every quarter of 2020. The only reason why Xiaomi saw a slight dip in market share was due to the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the early half of 2020. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla It is estimated that the Indian smartphone market crossed 100 million units in the second half of 2020 for the first time ever. Xiaomi led the market with its dominant budget-friendly smartphones, however it seems like the company will be shifting gears to mid-budget and premium devices in 2021. It’s not spurring to see Chinese smartphone brands dominate the Indian market as these companies offer the most value for money products. We predicted last year that the trend would continue and that’s exactly what happened, regardless of the anti-China sentiment in the country. It would be surprising to see whether Samsung or other brands would overtake Xiaomi and other Chinese smartphone brands in the near future as tensions between the two countries have calmed down since then. 2. There is a reason why many of us still remain petrified at the thought of stepping up on the stage and speaking directly to a bunch of people sitting in the audience. You can be speaking on important matters at hand like woman empowerment, gender equality, global warming, or saving dolphins, however, there is still a high chance of there being one or two individuals in the audience who will stop at nothing to make things hard. Well, just to reassure you that you are not alone, something of a similar nature happened with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a recent event. Amid the recent surge in Coronavirus cases across India, PM Modi on Thursday (April 08) held a virtual meeting with the chief ministers of all states in order to address the immediate situation at hand. © Twitter Many viewers watching the reactions of the duo labeled their antics to be similar to that of backbenchers sitting in a boring school or college lecture and we don’t blame them either. 4. “Give a man a mask and he'll become his true self,” this line and the idea behind it got engraved in my mind the very first time I saw Heath Ledger be the best version of the Joker in The Dark Knight (2008). There were actors before him and actors after his unfortunate demise who tried to bring life to the character of the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’ and even though Joaquin Phoenix was great, nobody can touch the kind of work Ledger did for Christopher Nolan over a decade ago. © Warner Bros But what made the Australian actor become such a disturbing yet breathtaking Joker? Other than some brilliant screen-writing and exceptional directing by one of the best, Ledger himself went forward and made some significant sacrifices which came to fruition and got him acknowledged by the critics and fans alike. Here are four sacrifices made by the Heath Ledger which established his version of the Joker as the best: 1. Self Isolation For Six WeeksHeath Ledger, few months to the set of Batman had to isolate himself in a hotel in London with a diary & experimented his laughing, imagined voices & talked to himself for weeks so he'd properly lose his mind while getting bare hours of sleep to perfect The Joker role. pic.twitter.com/Yww4kKQxDM — W On Screens (@WhatsOnScreens) August 24, 2019 Arguably the biggest known fact about how Ledger got into the character of the ‘Agent of Chaos’, was him completely cutting himself off from the rest of the world and limiting himself to a hotel room for six weeks. During this time, he also created a famous ‘Joker’ diary which described what went on inside the actor’s mind. Pictures of hyenas and comic book clippings were also pasted inside the sheets. 2. Unnatural Voice Leading To Dry Mouth Heath Ledger had a very deep voice and while playing the role of the Joker, he went with an unnatural voice and ended up with a dry mouth in between takes. That is why he introduced licking his lips while delivering his lines to keep them moist, which became a very significant part of his character as a whole. Later in his 2017 biopic, I Am Heath Ledger, it was also mentioned that he did it in order to keep the prosthetics of his scar wet and stuck to his face. 3. Threw Himself On Walls To Get Hurt For Real During the interrogation scene from the movie, Ledger wanted Christian Bale to actually hit him as hard as possible and but when the latter declined his offer, he began to throw himself against the walls in order to make the contact look genuine. “He was slamming himself around, and there were tiled walls inside of that set which were cracked and dented from him hurling himself into them. His commitment was total," Bale had said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. 4. Extreme Insomnia Because of Playing The Joker Although Ledger suffered from insomnia for years, his sleep troubles got worse while he was shooting for The Dark Knight as the Joker. According to Looper, the kind of physical and mental exhaustion he went through for the role took a massive toll on his body. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@heathledger) In an interview with the New York Times while the movie was in production, Ledger opened up about how he could only sleep for a couple of hours every day before he would wake up, with his mind racing with the thoughts of the character. “Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night,” he said. “I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going.” Eventually, it was his sleep deprivation which led to his untimely death of the actor before the film’s release due to an accidental overdose of prescribed sleeping medication, and the artist didn’t live long enough to see his art. 5. There aren’t many cooperative games that caught my attention since the late 2000s as game developers now focus more on multiplayer rather than the dying genre. Apart from Nintendo, not many developers have been focussing on a genre that encourages couch gameplay or lets people work with each other. Even if other games do encourage players to team up, it’s always set in some sort of live service. However, EA’s Hazellight has not only made a cooperative game that you can play with anybody, but it’s also probably more innovative than anything you’ve ever played. © Electronic Arts It Takes Two is all about having and putting a smile on your face. The game masterfully weaves the co-op adventure for the two players involved with stunning graphics, smart level design and a very emotional story. You either play as Cody or May, who are planning to get a divorce but their daughter, Rose, doesn’t take it too well. She somehow has access to a self-help book that focuses on fixing relationships. This is where the story takes a magical turn as Rose’s tears transform her parents into two of her dolls. © Electronic Arts From here on out, you and your co-op partner will play either of the two characters and play the game in split-screen mode. Split-screen mode is a callback to co-operative couch gaming that developers have slowly phased out in their games. It instantly transported me to my Halo days where you could see through your partner’s eyes by simply looking into their part of the screen. In fact, not only does it help in keeping the intimacy with your gaming partner alive, but it also comes in handy in puzzle-solving sequences. © Electronic Arts Once you’ve been transformed, you will instantly start comparing to past games like Toy Story, Mario and other franchises. You move around in various parts of the house albeit everything is far larger. If you’ve ever seen Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, you will instantly understand the picture I’m trying to paint. Being a platforming game, you will traverse different parts of the house such as the garden, tree-house, attic and many other locations. © Electronic Arts Since each location has a different theme, Cody and May both get different powers that they can use to solve puzzles or use in traversing the environment. It is also worth pointing out that powers assigned to each character also somewhat match their personalities. It’s a great showcase of implementing different game mechanics which you don’t see in games these days. I would say the game uses every popular game mechanic you might have come across in various genres. For example, on one level May gets to use anti-gravity boots while Cody can increase or decrease his size. While both of these power-ups don’t make sense right now, if you play the game you will notice how ‘Hazellight’ has managed to make use of these mechanics in the most unexpected ways. © Electronic Arts I do have to point out that the entire game has been crafted around the co-operative playstyle which you can’t find in any game that has been released in the past decade. Even Mario games aren’t developed keeping two players in mind which is saying quite a lot. It Takes Two literally requires two players to play this game but what’s cool is that even if you are playing online with a friend, the other person does not have to purchase a separate copy. I mentioned before that each level is unique, but I have to hand it to the developers for crafting beautiful worlds that feel like a playground you want to get lost in. There’s enough variety here that makes you want to keep playing the game and see what’s in store next. The game is not a straightforward platforming game though, as you will come across levels that break every rule you know about platforming games. For example, there’s a Diablo style dungeon-crawling level that probably plays better than the recent Diablo games. You never know what kind of level you are going to get next and that keeps your curiosity going till the end credits. There are also some incredible mini-games at each level where you play against each other. While most of the game concentrates on co-op gameplay, it was surprising to see that the developers also included a mode that you can play to challenge your partner. © Electronic Arts Not only are the levels made keeping two players in mind, even the story is deeply entwined with the main theme. As May or Cody, you have to work together to get to your goal and in the process fix your relationship unknowingly. It’s a sweet story where you start with a dysfunctional couple that learns to work on problems together. Every level and sequence focuses on making May and Cody work together which in turn helps heal their relationship. Having said that, I do feel the pacing of the game is a bit off as at times it feels as if the story is being dragged on for the sake of showcasing new levels. You can finish the game in about 15 hours but in my opinion, the game’s main story was unnecessarily stretched to increase the total playtime. The Final Say If you love platforms and want a proper co-operative game to play with a friend, you can’t miss out on It Takes Two. I encourage everyone to play this game at least once even if you aren’t a seasoned player. Apart from slight pacing issues, It Takes Two is a charming and joyful experience that I will use as a benchmark for co-operative games for the next decade. View the full article
  6. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was recently announced, but what grabbed our attention was how big the camera module really is. We actually wanted to know how big the camera bump would be but after looking at the pre-announcement unboxing video it seems our estimation was lower than what we originally thought. The smartphone has a massive camera bump where it houses three-rear facing cameras and a 1-inch OLED screen. Now that the smartphone is official, we finally know how big the camera bump actually is. © Youtube_Tech Buff PH The main reason why the camera bump is larger than anything we’ve seen yet is because of that little 1-inch OLED screen. The cameras themselves are also quite large such as the 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor. The wide-angle sensor is 1/1.2-inches in size which is slightly smaller than the traditional point and shoot cameras. The larger sensor does result in more light coming through for better image output. The camera module also has a 48-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide and a 48-megapixel periscope 5x optical zoom sensor as well. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra’s camera sensor is definitely the largest and thickest we’ve ever seen. What’s good is that it’s just not for show as the larger sensors and the 1-inch screen will be quite useful. To be honest, I’m quite impressed with what Xiaomi was able to achieve with this smartphone. Sure, you might find it difficult to try to put the Mi 11 Ultra flat on a surface but in return, you might get a smartphone that is capable of great photography and new innovation such as the 1-inch OLED screen on the camera module. 8. Akshay Kumar has always been the kind of fashionista who ends up surprising you. He won't wear outfits that would stop the traffic, but once in a while he would subtly make a statement that will make you go: "Yes, the man knows what he's doing." via GIPHY This is to not discredit his super hypebeast-y airport camo adventures, where he never fails to garner silent nods of approvals from the biggest fashion snobs, and also that one time he wore baby pink top to bottom, and paired the look with blue shoes. Mr Khiladi just made a trip to Ayodhya in an outfit that to the layman would look rather dapper in an uncomplicated semi-formal sort of way, but he did manage to sneak in his signature swag even in that. © Viral Bhayani What we couldn't help but focus on were the ginormous pockets. Now, big pockets aren't really a new thing and they did in fact rule the roost all through the '90s (remember the cargo invasion?), but still manage to turn heads whenever they make an appearance. Exhibit A! © Viral Bhayani Another part of his outfit that equally had our attention were his sneakers. Akshay wore the super statement 'sock' sneakers from Balenciaga, originally called the Speed 2.0, that paired perfectly well with the shirt. © Viral Bhayani All we can say is that Akshay has had an impressive growth in terms of style, and we hope the curve goes only higher. 9. Growing up, I was as much of a Big Bang Theory fan as anyone else and had binged a lot of the seasons of the show when I’d first discovered it, despite how a lot of the plot points just generally made me super uncomfortable. But hey, repression is a thing, and I hadn’t learnt to be critical of the media I consumed by then! © Chuck Lorre Productions Having unintelligently spent hours upon hours watching a show that at best mocked the nerds it was aimed towards and worse, excused everything from sexism and harassment to the very stereotypes we seek to escape from for the sake of laughs, it’s safe to say that I have a complicated relationship with the Big Bang Theory. Still, after much thought and plenty of outside consultation, I’ve narrowed down 5 things that really ruined the experience for me (and a lot of others): 1. How they all treat each other © Chuck Lorre Productions From the beginning of the show, the characters are shown constantly taking digs at each other over everything from their habits, their fears, their inability to get a woman, or all the awful stuff that would generally lead a good friend to recommend seeing a therapist. Like when they sit around and gleefully read out mean tweets about Sheldon after he taught a class, and are more than happy to share the content of those tweets when Sheldon gets home with no sensitivity whatsoever. I’m sorry, are they actually supposed to be friends? Or… like, any scene at all where Howard mocks Raj’s Indian accent. Which is about half the show. 2. Speaking of that, how genuinely racist Howard actually behaves towards Raj Elephant and curry? Really? Wow, I’d never heard that one before, super original, Howard. Imagine your real-life friend saying that to you… I’d be sooner ending that friendship, thanks. 3. Plus, the show is just one big sexist joke, weakly disguised by painting the nerds as people who are somehow incapable of understanding basic human decency © Chuck Lorre Productions Consider this wildly inappropriate scene with Sheldon and Amy basically slut-shaming Penny for the people she may have slept with. Even with the laugh track, it’s easy to see how uncomfortable Penny is by the topic — but her pleas to change the topic of conversation are, of course, outright ignored. And how did anyone think this entire episode with Sheldon and Alex was ever okay? To be completely honest with you, this had been about the point I realised I couldn’t ignore what my subconscious had been telling me. ...yup, he called a black woman a slave! 4. The way the show enabled and excused contempt for and harassment of women is astonishing to me — and how it passed by most of us even more so Case in point, when Howard constantly objectifies Penny and makes unwanted advances, gets called out for being creepy AF and Penny is the one who somehow ends up apologising and consoling the guy getting his ego bruised. And he STILL doesn’t get the memo! Penny punches him for trying to kiss her against her will and all he has to say is that she’s halfway to sleeping with him just due to pity… Do you know what happens to men like that in real life? A court case. And I’ll let you judge this one yourself: I’m sorry, what did he just say about Marie Curie? 5. The laugh trackNow, before you say it, I know the show’s a sitcom and it’s supposed to have a live audience and a laugh track. But this show is just built around saying mean one-liners to each other and adding a laugh track to demonstrate that it’s all in good fun. For example, watch this scene without the laugh track: Yeah, without the fake audience to tell you what you’re supposed to find funny here, it kinda just looks like a group of guys bullying their female friend, especially considering the incredibly demeaning way Raj is talking to her throughout. But, of course, that’s brushed off as a personality quirk. And when it’s not one-liners, it’s kind of difficult to grasp what exactly we’re laughing at… that they’re able to speak? That they’re characters who like science? There’s something about them laughing at nothing that simply grates at the audience’s nerves, especially once it’s pointed out to you. Not to mention how being a nerd actually seems to be the butt of the joke in the entirety of the show, and how women are painted as “anti-geek” for some reason, when many women are, in fact, involved in geek culture themselves. © Chuck Lorre Productions All of this is not to say that I absolutely hate the show, even though I would be very reasonable in doing so. I do believe that things somewhat get better in the later seasons, though not perfect. © Chuck Lorre Productions Still, I would like for the show to not be equated as the epitome of nerd culture, and for the people who love it (as well as those who wrote it) to examine the kinds of stereotypes and harmful portrayals it has helped solidify in people’s minds over the years. 10. The price of Bitcoin saw a major fluctuation last week but what remains constant is the amount of energy required to mine the cryptocurrency. It’s the number one criticism that cryptocurrency faces - whether it will ever be sustainable like traditional forms of currency. The energy used to harvest cryptocurrency has come to a point that it surpassed the energy consumption of some countries. According to a study published by Cambridge University, the annual carbon footprint required to mine Bitcoin is higher than the annual consumption of countries like Ukraine and Argentina. Mining Bitcoin requires massive electrical infrastructure and complicated math algorithms in order to verify transactions. Miners often use a setup that involves multiple GPUs to process the complicated algorithms that eventually rewards the miner with a bitcoin. © University of Cambridge “Rising bitcoin prices make mining more attractive, as the potential reward increases in value. As a result, new mining hardware will get added to the network and lead to increased electricity consumption overall,” according to the report. The study claims that mining Bitcoin consumes about 129.09 terawatt-hours (TWh) per year which is an astronomical amount when putting it into the context of energy consumption by some countries. In fact, the more bitcoin is mined, the higher is the energy required for the end result. “The more machines a miner operates, the more likely he is to find the solution to the puzzle. However, more machines also means that more electricity is needed to run and cool the equipment, which in turn results in higher costs for the miner in question,” according to the report. Currently, there are about 18.6 million bitcoins in circulation at the moment according to digital currency exchange companies. Since Bitcoin has reached its mining limit, normal computers are no longer enough to mine the cryptocurrency. Now, people rely on powerful machines to access new bitcoins which in turn requires intensive power sources to access them. One of the major hurdles of mining bitcoin is finding abundant electricity sources at the lowest possible price. © Zotac Environmentalists say Bitcoin mining is still a cause of concerns since miners are constantly looking for the cheapest electricity, which means places that are still powered by coal. According to the study, China has the most bitcoin mining by any country and two-thirds of its electricity comes from coal. Currently, there is no way to figure out what type of electricity bitcoin miners are using and whether it is being fueled by renewable energy or not. © pierre-borthiry-unsplash Other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, have promised to change the algorithm to be more environmentally friendly. Currently, Ethereum mining works similar to Bitcoin where it also requires powerful computers to mine the cryptocurrency and complete a transaction first. Ethereum is now working on a system where miners are entered into a pool and are randomly selected to complete the transaction. This method is being called “proof-of-stake” where it guarantees lesser consumption of electricity. Source: Cambridge University View the full article

In a recent CNBC interview by parent company Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick, it was revealed that GTA V is selling better than ever with about 20 million units sold in 2020 alone. © Rockstar Games “We’re grateful for the incredible work that Rockstar Games has done with Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto Online,” Zelnick said in the interview. “It’s absolutely amazing that Grand Theft Auto has sold more units in calendar year 2020 than it did in any year since its original release in 2013. It’s just extraordinary.” GTA V had surpassed all forms of media as the highest-earning franchise in history two years ago and it seems like it won’t be slowing down. GTA V’s revenue comes not only from the sale of the game but also from microtransactions the game offers for its online multiplayer. © Rockstar Games Despite launching eight years ago, GTA V is still amongst the best selling titles of 2020. It is worth pointing out that tracking firms like the NDP group do not take digital sales into account for rankings any more. Having said that, it wasn’t surprising to see GTA V achieve big numbers at a time when most of the world was seeking at-home entertainment during the pandemic. The game managed to attract new users and previously dormant players reactivated their accounts as well, a trend which Take-Two expects to continue post-pandemic. GTA V first released in September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is now available on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X. © Rockstar Games GTA V is now the second most selling game of all time, running closely behind Minecraft. However, with the current momentum, it is quite possible that GTA V might take over the popular sandbox game in 2021 if trends continue. Source: CNBC View the full article
  16. OnePlus is known for making flagship-level smartphones that don’t cost as much as its competition. However, even though the company may not have the same ethos anymore, it has still managed to make some incredible smartphones in the past few years. We decided to list some of the best OnePlus smartphones that made the brand a household name in the country. 1. OnePlus One © Youtube_Meteroite Theory OnePlus started off with one of the most iconic devices the company has ever made. The brand launched its first device not so long ago; 2014 to be precise and it did it with the OnePlus One. The smartphone is iconic for various reasons but for many, it was the sandpaper and wooden back panel on this phone that people most remember. The phone also launched with Cyanogen OS, a custom ROM that was most popular amongst the Android modding community. While the company has now moved on to its own Oxygen OS that borrows quite a few features from the custom Android skin, it was the bloat-free experience from Cyanogen OS that users loved the most about the phone. 2. OnePlus 3T © Youtube_Slashdot The OnePlus 3T is often remembered as the biggest leap OnePlus made when it comes to reliability and usability. The 3T was a mid-cycle update to the OnePlus 3 that improved upon the processor and the battery. It was also one of the cleaner designed phones by the company that set a precedent for future smartphones by the company. 3. OnePlus 5T © Youtube_TecworkZ When talking about minimalistic design, OnePlus outdid itself with the update to the OnePlus 5 series. It was the first OnePlus smartphone that came with a full front screen design where it ditched the home button/fingerprint sensor. The phone still had bezels that may seem like a long time ago especially since most phones have adopted an all-screen design today. Instead, OnePlus moved the fingerprint sensor to the back and used the same dual-camera design as the OnePlus 5 at the top. The company also dabbled with releasing special editions for this phone culminating with a Star Wars: Episode VIII — The Last Jedi version. We later saw the company partner with Marvel, McLaren and Cyberpunk 2077. 4. OnePlus 6T © OnePlus The phone that ruined notch phones for everyone was probably the OnePlus 6T's design before it moved to the full-screen experience. The OnePlus 6T changed the controversial notch on the OnePlus 6 to the water-drop design on the 6T which was an instant success amongst OnePlus users. The OnePlus 6T gets a lot of things right and was the company’s first step towards an all-screen smartphone. It was also the debut of the in-display fingerprint sensor for OnePlus which has now become a staple on every Android device today. 5. OnePlus 7/7T Pro © MensXP_ Akshay Bhalla The OnePlus 7/7T Pro are still the best all-screen experience you can have on a smartphone even in 2021. In fact, both smartphones feature the pop-up camera design which we may never see again on smartphones. The OnePlus 7T Pro/7 Pro aren’t much different from each other apart from the processor under the hood. However, both devices were the mark of OnePlus moving to the premium smartphone segment as it was quite costlier as compared to its predecessors. While the company did launch the OnePlus 8 Series in 2020, it lacked the charm the OnePlus 7/7T Pro has. View the full article
  17. That fact that Varun Dhawan is a massive sneakerhead is no secret. He has one of the most varied and awe-inducing collections of sneakers in Bollywood. Time and again, he has shown us, as well as the rest of the Hindi film industry, just how quirky his sensibilities are when it comes to sneakers. © Viral Bhayani From sneakers that legit look they have been made out of fur, to a pair of really zany, rainbow-coloured sneakers, he has worn every kind of sneaker that one can think of. © Viral Bhayani Well, this time around, he was spotted wearing perhaps the chunkiest of sneakers we have ever seen. So chunky, in fact, that the treads on the sole of the sneakers look as if they are as deep as that of a car’s tyre. © Viral Bhayani But first, let’s have a look at his outfit. Varun was spotted outside the offices of Maddock Films, wearing a rather basic, but functional outfit - a black T-shirt with a pair of relax-fit, black joggers. We also like the Idee clubmaster-styled sunglasses that he has paired with the outfit. © Viral Bhayani All in all, this is actually a nice way to colour coordinate your outfits, and go for a monochrome outfit. © Viral Bhayani The centrepiece, so to speak, of Varun’s ensemble, however, are his sneakers, and boy are they something special. © Reebok Varun is seen here wearing the Classic Leather Legacy Sneakers In Chalk Blue, from Reebok. At first glance, they seem like any other, run of the mill sneakers. © Reebok Upon looking closely, one will realise, that these are perhaps the chunkiest sneakers anyone in Bollywood has ever worn. In fact, the treads on the sole of the sneaks, look humongous. They, in fact, look as big and deep, as the treads we see on the tyres of a car. © Reebok The upper of these sneakers are made using sustainable materials. The sneakers itself are a part of their ‘[Ree]Cycled’ sustainable collection. © Viral Bhayani Considering that we have seen Varun wear sneakers that cost as much as a new iPhone, these sneakers are actually affordable. Although they retail for about Rs 6,599, sneakerheads can pick these pair up for a lot less, if they know where to look and know how to play their cards right. © Viral Bhayani As quirky as these sneakers look, we actually kinda dig its aesthetic and colourway. The fact that they are somewhat sustainably made, is another cool aspect. View the full article

  19. People collect a lot of things, but Ottocar J can one-up literally everyone with his massive collection of Porsches. Yep, he's collecting cars because why the hell not? The 80-year-old recently bought his 80th Porsche, a Boxster Spyder in an eye-catching blue colour, and for his loyalty to the brand, he's also now become the first customer to be allowed to affix the Porsche Crest on the bonnet himself. © Porsche His incredible journey with Porsche started 50 years ago on the racing track. He said, "The Porsche cars simply flew past me on all sides." That was the moment he started saving up and bought a 911 E in Speed Yellow. And thus, a long journey began. While he has owned 80 cars over the course of decades, his current collection stands at 38 Porsches. He said, "I can drive a different one every day for a month – and two at the weekends." © Porsche Being able to drive a different car every day of the month, now that's something not a lot of people can say. He has built an entirely separate building for all his cars that is decorated with numerous cups, posters, components, trophies and mementos from races, events and Porsche Club meets. © Porsche But, his collection is not just for show, he loves driving them and is regularly out and about with nine of his vehicles, including a 911 R, a Type 991 911 Speedster and two Boxster Spyders from the last two generations. While he doesn't have a favourite out of the lot, he drives his Type 981 Boxster Spyder more than the others. He said, "The sound, how it drives, its suspension, everything that it does – it is the only one of my road-legal Porsche that reminds me of my 910." © Porsche Waiting to complete his 50 years long Porsche journey, he said, "When you are 80-years-old, you don’t think so much about the past anymore but more about the future. You look forward to things that are still to come. Since I bought my first Porsche in 1972, that anniversary will be 2022. So the circle from the past to the present is complete. Because that is how everything began." Source - Porsche Newsroom View the full article
