  1. When it comes to men's accessories, watches win the race hands down, and rightfully so. They no longer just serve as devices that tell you the time, but have transformed themselves into indicators of one's 'woke'-ness, when it comes to fashion consciousness. While the market is saturated with thousands of choices, the only way to steal the limelight is choosing something that is unapologetically conspicuous, while not compromising on the sophistication scale. One brand that has decoded the formula of arriving at that perfect balance, is Swatch. When Swatch launched its 'Big Bold' collection, watch enthusiasts were blessed with a line that not only was extremely fashionable, but also boasted of a rare aesthetic that was phenomenally playful. (c) Swatch (c) Swatch Armed with a massive Ø47mm watch head covered with a slightly curved glass, the Big Bold Collection stays true to what it promised. The 6 variants with unique colours proved themselves worthy enough to take the urban streetwear game to the next level. (c) Swatch (c) Swatch Encouraged by the utterly positive response, Swatch decided to collaborate with one of the leading fashion labels in the world, 'A Bathing Ape', commonly known as 'Bape'. What came out of the collab is functionally one of the coolest things that we have witnessed. (c) MensXP SwatchXBape resulted in one of the funkiest watches the world has seen - 'Big Bold Bape The World Watch'. The pre-launch global event for that was organised on the 31st of May in Tokyo. (c) Swatch The collaboration resulted in a super cool collection of 6 watches inspired by (mega)-cities and the globe, namely, Bern, London, New York City, Paris, Tokyo and the entire planet. All six models feature a newly designed signature BAPE® camo pattern as well as the Ape Head logo on the hour hand and the lower strap, while the enhanced Swatch logo is invocative of the watchmaker's debut in the 1980s. The five city watches are numbered and limited to either 983 or 1993 pieces, paying tribute to each brand's respective birth year. Together with the sixth model BIG BOLD BAPE The World, this limited-edition collection shouts out to big personalities, celebrating the world, diversity and time. However, only the World watch will be available in India. (c) Swatch The World Watch definitely counts as a piece which is a statement collectible, being a part of an exclusive limited collection with a limited number of pieces. It will be available only at the Swatch exclusive store in Palladium mall, Mumbai. Launching on the 15th of June, this limited edition piece will cost INR 9250/-. (c) Swatch All we can say is that for watch enthusiasts, this collaboration right here definitely marks one of those rare instances where two fashion giants together gave rise to something so unique yet functional, which will be appreciated by connoisseurs and novices alike.
  2. Microsoft wrapped up its best E3 briefing in a long time with over 60 games. But do you know what stole the show? Cyberpunk 2077's gameplay reveal, featuring Keanu Reeves. Yes, the 'John Wick' star Keanu Reeves is actually a part of a game, and we seriously don't know how to react. Like, WHAT? Is this really happening? Well, if you're just as surprised as us, then let us tell you that it's indeed true. CD Projekt Red just released a new trailer at Microsoft's E3 briefing that ends with one of the most unexpected celebrity appearances that we've ever encountered: Keanu Reeves. Yes, John Wick himself, in all his glory! As of now, we're not entirely sure as to what role he's going to play in the game, but we're assuming it's going to be a significant role, because why not? He's Keanu after all. © YouTube Honestly, we don't even care if his role is significant for the story or not. We're just glad that one of the biggest stars is a part of one of the most anticipated games of all time. In case you missed Microsoft's E3 briefing, then it's worth pointing out that Keanu was actually there on stage during the presentation to reveal Cyberpunk 2077's release date. Yes, Keanu actually appeared on stage to chat about the game. Before leaving, he revealed that CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16th, 2020. Yeah, we're still a long way from the game's official release date, but we are quite happy that we finally have a release date. Now, we just wait to see if we get to play alongside Keanu or against him!
  3. Hi, I'm 23 and I have only travelled to like 3 countries in my life. That's it. But, a 21-year-old just became the youngest person ever to travel to every single country in the world. Recently, Lexie Alford managed to reach probably the most difficult country to step in - North Korea - and completed her mission of travelling across the world's 196 sovereign nations. View this post on Instagram OFFICIALLY TRAVELED TO EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLDð𤯠â â â â â â â â â it's crazy to have years of hard work culminate into one single moment. Turns out, she started on this record-breaking journey without even knowing about it. Since her family owned a travel agency, she has been travelling to new places since she was a kid. 4. After waiting for more than a week since their warm-up match against Bangladesh, the Indian cricket team finally made their ICC World Cup 2019 debut against Faf du Plessis' South African team and played a wonderful game of ODI cricket in chasing a minimal yet tricky mark of 228. Four wickets by @yuzi_chahal and a devastating opening spell by @Jaspritbumrah93 saw #TeamIndia limit South Africa to 227 runs. Watch all the wickets here! ⤵ #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/2zXVB5XMnw — ICC (@ICC) June 5, 2019 While a huge chunk of the credit for the victory goes to Yuzvendra Chahal for his 4-wicket-haul and Jasprit Bumrah's highly effective and economical bowling (economy of 3.5 runs), there was one man who stood between the Proteas and their first win of the Cricket World Cup 2019 like a brick wall, Rohit Sharma. But it was #TeamIndia's day, their successful chase led by a superb ð¯ to @imro45 which included 13 boundaries and a pair of sixes. Watch the highlights here! ð #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/iKt5er9r82 — ICC (@ICC) June 5, 2019 Scoring a brilliant and unbeaten 122 of 144 deliveries, the 'Hitman' stuck to the crease despite his opening partner, Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Virat Kohli being removed from the pitch quickly. As the opener for the Indian batting order, Sharma stayed in the middle of the action right from the beginning till the end and saw Hardik Pandya be done with the match with a crackling boundary in the 48th over. Now, Rohit Sharma is one of the greatest batsmen to put on the blue jersey and represent our nation in international competitions but you've got to agree that the 'Luck Gods' were smiling at him throughout the match saving him from heading back to the pavilion on multiple occasions. © Reuters Ever since the first over, Sharma's wicket was up for grabs. First he unintentionally flicked the ball to the backward square leg but the fielder was two to three steps away from the spot where the ball landed, then he was dropped between point and backward point. South African skipper, Faf du Plessis also dropped Sharma's catch at second slip and finally Sharma survived yet another scare thanks to David Miller who dropped a dolly at silly mid off late in the game. So, there are only two logical reasonings for Rohit Sharma getting so many lives at the crease last night. Either the Proteas fielding was just horrible and deserves all the criticism in the world, or, it was Nita Ambani and her world-renowned beliefs that provided Rohit Sharma with the kind of luck he needed in his 2019 World Cup opener. And the fine people of Twitter seems to concur with this theory: Faf after the match : If nita ambani hadn't visited the stadium rohit sharma wouldn't had scored a century and we would had taken those catches.....#INDvSA — Jammy (@The_WaLLLLLLL) June 5, 2019 When Nita Ambani spotted in the stadium Rohit Sharma : ððð¤£ð¤£ð¤£ pic.twitter.com/njL8B4TWDX — Thakur S P Parmar ð®ð³ (@IamErSPSingh) June 5, 2019 Hope Nita Ambani has tickets to all the games... 5. A few years ago, if we'd have told you that circus animals would be replaced with holograms, you'd have laughed at our faces. But what if we told you that now it's a reality and the Circus Roncalli in Germany actually replaced real animals with holograms to entertain people? Yes, it's just as awesome as it sounds. Here, check it out - Replacing real animals with holograms is a great idea because it's important that we treat animals fairly and fight against animal cruelty. The Circus Roncalli in Germany was set up in 1976 and it's quite awesome to see such an old circus trying to be a pioneer in the fight against animal abuse. So, the circus uses holograms to add animals to their performances with the help of eleven projectors set up across the venue. They have performing animals such as elephants, horses, monkeys, and even fish. They do look very realistic, don't they? © YouTube It's also worth pointing out that the circus made history by becoming the first to replace real animals with holograms. Not only are they putting across a great message to stop animals cruelty, but the circus authorities are also saving a lot of money in the process, since they don't really have animals to feed or transport. Obviously, not everyone will enjoy this, but it's indeed a creative way to showcase what technology can achieve and how it can benefit mankind. Now, let's hope this act will serve as an inspiration to others and we get to see more creative ways of delivering good entertainment.
  6. Here's some excellent news for all animal lovers across the board. The Haryana and Punjab High Court has declared the title of “legal person or entity” to animals in Haryana, granting them the “corresponding rights, duties and liabilities of a living person” and we can't help but feel absolutely elated with this piece of information. (c) Pintrest The ruling has come out nearly a year after the Uttarakhand High Court passed a similar order “to protect and promote greater welfare of animals”. And guess why? Because both the orders were written and passed by Justice Rajiv Sharma, who was transferred from the Uttarakhand High Court to the Punjab & Haryana High Court in Chandigarh. “The corporations, Hindu idols, holy scriptures, rivers have been declared legal entities and thus, in order to protect and promote greater welfare of animals including avian and aquatic, animals are required to be conferred with the status of legal entity/ legal person” - Justice Rajiv Sharma (c) Twitter Justice Rajiv Sharma This is a fantastic stance taken towards animal welfare in the country and we hope things take a turn for the better where wildlife and animals laws are concerned, all over. “The animals should be healthy, comfortable, well nourished, safe, able to express innate behaviour without pain, fear and distress. They are entitled to justice. The animals cannot be treated as objects or property,” the verdict states. That is indeed true. Which means, no animals are now to be found carrying heavy weight, any weight that burdens them or be used for sheer entertainment or even stuffed into a vehicle, that may bring them grave discomfort or ill-health. This is what we need to implement in smaller towns, where animals are treated like a sheer commodity and nothing else. Among the guidelines that were issued by this verdict, the Justice Bench headed by Justice Sharma directed the Haryana Government that draught animals will not carry more than the prescribed weight while pulling a vehicle. The bench also said vehicles like bullock carts, camel carts and even horse carts need to put florescent reflectors at the front and back of the cart, so that they can be seen better, while travelling after sunset. (c)Twitter “All the citizens throughout the state of Haryana are hereby declared persons in loco parentis (meaning – in the place of a parent) as the human face for the welfare/protection of animals.” - Justice Rajiv Sharma We're very grateful towards this verdict and we truly hope more such rules are implemented for animals, for their wellbeing across the country.
  7. Yesterday's swearing-in ceremony was quite eventful, but one of the biggest things everyone realized was Sushma Swaraj won't be a part of the Modi Government 2.0. The much loved former Minister of External Affairs of India did not take part in the Lok Sabha elections this year but people still had hopes that she would get a nomination for Rajya Sabha and become a part of the Cabinet. But, looks like following some health troubles, she won't be a part of the new government. 8. Well, even with thousands of streaming websites these days, some of them manage to stand apart with just one show that the entire world is watching. I feel like so many people took Hotstar memberships especially for 'Game of Thrones' and well, that will cause some jealousy among other websites. But, this time, that jealousy just turned into a fun banter, giving us a rare and hilarious exchange between Hotstar and Netflix India. It all started with Netflix India's tweet about the checklist of a true relationship. We hang out every weekend. We eat all our meals together. Your parents know about us. Hate to break it to you, but we may be in a serious relationship. — Netflix India (@NetflixIndia) May 23, 2019 Almost everyone is in a relationship with Netflix then, oops. We don't mind you experimenting with a hot star but they'd never make you stream like we do. — Netflix India (@NetflixIndia) May 23, 2019 Well, did Hotstar win this round? I can't tell. Insecure. . . 9. Very recently, the German national women's football team produced an ad campaign ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in which they spoke about how after winning one of the most prestigious European Championships, every woman of the squad received a tea set as medals for their glorious achievement. This was exactly three decades ago in 1989. Not a lot of news was made out of this because back then women were supposed to be making some good tea and the tea set would only add to their skills. Now, maybe in order to celebrate 30 years of sexual discrimination and the dominance of the male gender in sports, one of Spain's squash tournament's management team decided to repeat history, but only making it 10 times more interesting. “This is the 21st century, women aren't only meant to be making tea” they might have thought in their giant heads. “Let's reward them with *** toys instead!” Brilliant! Spain's Asturias Squash Championship 2019 saw some of the most competitive women squash players battle against each other on the squash court. They had trained night and day, putting in their blood, sweat and tears in order to achieve greatness in their game one day. For the 37-year-old Elisabet Sado Garriga, the day had finally arrived when she won the squash tournament a couple of days ago. Her reward? A gift bag with a waxing set to make her skin smooth, a foot care device to make those ugly feet pretty again and a branded “Pure Fantasy” vibrator because… needs. It is also believed that three of the helpless, sexist officials from the tournament were also asked to resign. Honestly, we do not even understand what all the fuss is about. After all, the club that hosted the tournament came out in public to say that whatever they did, it was not “done from a sexist standpoint.” If you ask us, rewarding an athlete with *** toys is always a great idea. Regardless of their gender, we are sure, they would be super excited to receive a token of appreciation that screams “you need to get laid!”. If anything, the sports tournament was too kind, thinking about the athletes' *** life like that. Do not see an issue with that...
  10. Apple has refreshed its MacBook Pro laptops with new and powerful Intel core processors, which means you'll now get better performance out of these MacBooks. In fact, Apple says these are the fastest MacBook Pro laptops it has ever made. That's cool, but the most important change here is the new keyboard. Apple has been receiving a lot of flak for making poor keyboards for a long time now, so we hope these new ones are better. The company didn't provide any details, but we do know that they've changed the material used in its butterfly switch keyboards to avoid the problem of producing double keystrokes. © Apple As for the spec bump, here's how powerful the new MacBook Pro models are: The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bat now comes with faster 8th gen processors. The base model packs a 2.4GHz quad-core Core i5 CPU with Turbo Boost speed up to 4.1GHz, and you can configure the notebook with a beefier 2.8GHz quad-core Core i7 CPU if you're willing to shell out more cash. The non-Touch Bar model sadly hasn't received a spec bump, so the new base 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is now 2.3x faster than the fastest dual-core non-Touch Bar 13-inch MacBook Pro that's available. As for the 15-inch MacBook Pros, well these are show stoppers. Apple has updated the 15-inch MacBook Pro models with 9th gen Intel core processors. The base model here comes with a 2.6GHz six-core Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speed up to 4.5GHz. 11. Luxury brands should stick to what they do best: make luxurious products that are often well designed and are (mostly) overpriced. Some luxury companies have tried to get on the wearable bandwagon by launching their own smartwatches and even bracelets. While they may look awesome, they don't work as well as something that costs Rs 1,500 maybe. © Twitter Luxury brand Louis Vuitton has now made a handbag that is an odd fusion between technology and fashion. It was presented as a part of its 2020 cruise collection and has OLED screens on a duffle bag. The company also presented a bucket bag that also has OLED screens on each side. © Twitter The company describes it as a fusion of “cutting-edge technology with the Maison's signature savoir-faire, the new canvas displays moving images while taking the form of some of Louis Vuitton's most iconic bags". We would like to give LV full marks for the effort but the design of the bag simply looks ghastly. Why would anyone stitch OLED screen on the side of the bag? The OLED screen on the duffle bag shows video clips of different cities. The bucket bag comes with screens on each side and the OLED panel on this bag can also be used as a touchscreen. Both bags from LV simply do not exude luxury but simply looks like something a knock-off store would make in the fake goods markets in South Asia. © Louis Vuitton The OLED panels on the bags are said to be flexible but I guess the people at LV didn't hear about Samsung's fiasco with foldable smartphones. These bags are going to experience the same problems as the foldable phone and look ugly at the same time.
  12. In just a week after becoming the fastest film to gross more than $1 billion worldwide, Marvel's 'Avengers: Endgame' is well on its way to beat James Cameron's 'Avatar' and become the highest grossing film ever. That's right, 'Avengers: Endgame' has crossed the $2 billion mark in record time and has already beaten 'Titanic' to become the second highest-grossing film ever worldwide. We reckon 'Endgame' is likely to beat 'Avatar' because it's been adding millions of dollars every day. The blockbuster is racking up numbers at an unbelievable rate, really. 'Avatar' reached $2 billion in 47 days of release, whereas 'Avengers: Endgame' managed to pull it off in just 11 days. 'Endgame' has already beaten the likes of 'Titanic' and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', both of which have been holding their spots for quite some time now. We think it's only a start of what should be an unprecedented box office run. © Marvel Even, say, if there's a considerable drop-off in the coming weeks due to the arrival of 'Detective Pikachu' and 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters', we're pretty optimistic that it'll hit the numbers over a period of time. Unlike 'Avatar', which was a one-of-a-kind 3D sci-fi epic known for it's CGI interacts. 'Avengers: Endgame' marks the end of a saga. It ends phase 3 of MCU, so the film will continue to be a massive draw for a number of weeks to come. Not to mention, the die-hard MCU fans will want to experience the three-hour long movie again, leading to repeat viewings. © Marvel And as the crowd continues to watch it, more casual audiences may check it out to see what the buzz is all about. Who'd want to miss a blockbuster after all? According to the recent numbers reflected on Wikipedia, 'Avengers: Endgame' has currently grossed $2,188,698,638 worldwide. It's shy of roughly $500 million to top 'Avatar'. Considering the fact that the movie managed to do so much in just 11 days, we're pretty excited to see how the movie does in the next few weeks.
  13. A teacher holds a very special place in our hearts, only second to our parents and family members. Teachers help shape our lives in our formative years, guide us with what's wrong and what's right. However, being a teacher or dealing with unruly kids is not a cakewalk. It is, in fact, the hardest thing in the world. If you get too strict, your class starts hating you. If you become too lenient, they start taking you for granted. But, one teacher has cracked the code of bringing some discipline in the class, although the Russo Brothers wouldn't approve of that method. Marvel Studios Every teacher has his or her own method to punish kids, but nothing can get as brutal as this teacher who threatened to drop 'Avengers: Endgame' spoilers if the students got too loud. This Reddit user's teacher warned the class that if the students got too rowdy, then he will start dropping spoilers one by one. In the post, we can see two blank spaces and clearly the students took it as a joke and that's when Thanos and Thor came in the picture. Reddit Turns out, this is not the only teacher who came up with such a savage idea. Ever since 'Avengers: Endgame' was released, almost every other teacher is using this trick to either control the class, punish them or getting things done from them. Me if I was teacher #endgame pic.twitter.com/0RMBI8xihx — Dasal (@ADasalbtw) April 26, 2019 Reddit Thank God, our desi teachers still use conventional methods of punishment. Becoming a 'murga' or standing outside the class might be embarrassing, but it's better than getting a spoiler from the biggest Marvel movie.
  14. Apart from giving superheroes a reason to fight Thanos with all their might and 'Avenge the fallen', if there's anything else I remember 'Avengers: Infinity War' for, it's for giving me my favourite word 'crossover', which I use almost every other day for no reason whatsoever. Just like I used in this case, when I saw Ranveer Singh and Shikhar Dhawan doing the hookstep of 'Khalibali' from 'Padmaavat'. © Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Recently, Shikhar posted the video on social media. Reportedly, the two were at Mumbai's Mehboob Studio. He wrote, "Khoob Jamega rang, Jab ho Gabbar aur Khilji sang! Learning each other's moves." But, this is not the only gem we found. There's another video where the two recreate the iconic Gabbar Singh step from 'Sholay'. First, the video has 'Gabbar and Khilji' dancing. Second, the video features reel-life Kapil Dev alongside Dhawan. If you didn't know why I called Shikhar 'Gabbar' earlier, you were probably living under a rock all this time. 'Gabbar' is his nickname. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie also stars Saqib Saleem, Chirag Patil, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathy and Tahir Raj Bhasin among others.
  15. A very faint seismic signal was tracked and recorded by the Insight lander on April 6th as the trembling appears to have come from inside the planet. The recording could have been caught by forces above the surface, such as wind, but now it has been confirmed that it was a legit earthquake. © NASA Scientists are still examining the data to know more about the seismic signal and its origins. The signal was detected by the lander's Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS) instrument. Three very distinct sounds could be heard and all of them were detected as ground vibrations. © NASA InSight heard the “marsquake” using an instrument that contains three ultra sensitive seismometers installed inside a dome. This dome protects the seismometers from external forces like the wind. “We've been waiting months for a signal like this,” said French seismologist Philippe Lognonné. “It's so exciting to finally have proof that Mars is still seismically active.” InSight's two-year mission will continue and there's a good chance that larger quakes will be discovered. “We're starting to have many small quakes,” he said. By the end of the mission, he told Science Magazine, “we'll have a super big quake.” NASA had previously installed seismometers that measured numerous quakes on the moon in 1969 and 1977. While this may not be the first time mankind has detected quakes away from Earth, it is, however, a first to be measured on a distant planet.
  16. 'Mortal Kombat' is often considered to be the fighting genre game that came with a lot of controversy in its first days but also garnered a cult-like following. 'Mortal Kombat 11' redefines the genre yet again with a gripping narrative and addictive gameplay. It's got polish, loads of characters and lore that can give any single player a run for its money. Developer NetherRealm is known for making beautiful and polished fighting games which were prevalent even in the making of 'Injustice 2'. 'Mortal Kombat 11' is yet another product from the same developer but does it deliver a quality experience like 'Injustice 2'? Let's find out how the game fared during the course of our review: Simplicity Is Key A fighting game like Mortal Kombat attracts two types of players: pros and enthusiasts. In order to keep a common ground, MK11 has relatively easy controls and good mechanics that make the game enjoyable. There are four attack buttons (two for punch/kick each front/back) and is combined with some special attacks that are easy to remember if you go through the moves list. © WB Games You no longer can run during a fight which basically changes the way you now fight. You now have to time your attacks and defence with a clear basic strategy. You are better off by chaining short combos with your specials. Even the offence and defence meters have now been separated so that you concentrate on both aspects when fighting. The offence meter charges fairly quick and can be used for your specials whereas the defence meter lets you block or counter your opponent's attacks more effectively. The overall gameplay is a bit slower than previous MK games but we prefer this change. Having said that, there is a bit of complexity to the fighting technique as well if you want to pull off the more hardcore moves. You need to keep everything in mind i.e. special moves, combos, weakness and strengths in order to be the best at this game. We played the game in normal mode as we aren't the best at fighting games especially when playing higher difficulty. You can enjoy the game by just throwing kicks and special moves, but the real fun is in the challenge. Getting fatalities are probably the most exciting bit in this game as it results in some of the most gruesome gore-filled scenes we've ever seen in Mortal Kombat. The Story Mode As soon as we got done with one of the most comprehensive tutorials, we got straight into the story mode. You will embark on a journey that's filled with drama, cheesy interactions and some time travel craziness. You will meet the younger counterparts of your favourite characters along the way, as time has been manipulated by Kronika. She has decided to basically reboot time with the sole purpose of removing Raiden out of existence. © WB Games The time-travel trope is a smart way to give a tribute to Mortal Kombat's history. Liu Kang is finally an important character now and every other character gets some important moment during the course of the story. In fact, the story mode has some of the best cut-scenes we've ever seen in a game and never got bored for even a second. The game itself looks spectacular with detailed character models and some of the smoothest transitions ever. The story mode would transition into a fight without any loading screens or any sort of hiccups. The facial animations are on point and breathe life into characters. Voice acting is also on point apart from Sonya Blade who has been brought to life by Ronda Rousey. Her line deliveries and facial expressions were just weird and not at the same level as the other characters in MK11. What We Didn't Like In the “Kustomization” mode, you can gear up your character with cosmetic skins and functional gear. You cannot customise your skins according to your preference which was a bit disappointing, There are 24 characters you can customise in total and 25 if you've pre-ordered the game. You get Shao Kahn as a playable character which should have been part of the main game in the first place. You can add other things like weapons, helmets and shields but it doesn't really make a huge difference in gameplay. © WB Games Having said that, not all is peachy in this game as the grind is quite real. You will need to earn in-game stuff or currency by either beating arcade-style towers or hit up the Krypt. In the Krypt, you will have to solve a puzzle and open many “chests” by using the in-game currency. These are essentially loot boxes that will upset almost anyone who doesn't want to spend extra money. We've been playing the game for over 18 hours and still haven't managed to unlock anything meaningful. You don't have to pay any real money to open any of these chests but NetherReal is already trying to fix the long grind issue to make it faster for players to unlock items. However, it is entirely optional to go this route as you can unlock character endings from the story mode and “Klassic Towers”. The Final Say Mortal Kombat is probably the best fighting game ever made with addictive gameplay and an entertaining story mode. The mechanics in the game are crisp and easy to learn without even having played any of the previous games. The game looks absolutely beautiful and has one of the most impressive cut-scenes in a game ever. However, the microtransactions and loot box systems were a big turn off as it makes the game very grindy. To be honest, a blockbuster game like 'Mortal Kombat 11' with a massive budget needs to offset those costs somehow. It's still not the best way to go about it but I guess we will have to live with it for now.
  17. I just have to say one thing before starting this article - if you don't stay for the end credit scenes in a Marvel movie, you're a disgrace to this fandom and you don't deserve to even watch the movies. Every single person knows that a end credit scene in any movie which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is an important as the movie itself. From giving clues as to what's next to basically have the biggest superheroes in the world just sit and eat after a battle, the end credit scenes are the real MVPs of Marvel movies and not even Marvel can deny that. Everyone's gearing up for the endgame - and possible end - of the OG Avengers in 'Avengers: Endgame' by binge watching all the movies again or just by following all the theories or memes. Marvel itself had a better idea to give the fans a refresher - a compilation of all the end credit scenes. The official Twitter account of Marvel has blessed us with the best Twitter thread right now and the easiest way to watch all of them. Starting off is RDJ as Iron Man, of course and the entry of Nick Fury, setting up the idea of 'Avengers' from the get go. “You've become a part of bigger universe, you just don't know it yet.” pic.twitter.com/eOmLZO5l1d — Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) April 22, 2019 Then Tony Stark showed up in 'The Incredible Hulk'. “What if I told you we were putting a team together...” pic.twitter.com/6fvpAvd9kL — Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) April 22, 2019 Thor's hammer Mjölnir showing up before Thor himself towards the end of 'Iron Man 2'. “Sir, we found it.” ð¨ pic.twitter.com/Dv4pURzD1z — Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) April 22, 2019 Loki being sneaky at the end of 'Thor'. “Well I guess that's worth a look.” pic.twitter.com/iPZOnhBZzA — Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) April 22, 2019 'Captain America: The First Avenger' had a rather simple one. “You here with a mission sir?” pic.twitter.com/aynOatBSL6 — Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) April 22, 2019 Giant purple grape is here! ð pic.twitter.com/yFTa2AzaQA — Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) April 22, 2019 The most iconic end credit scene, hands down. 18. Huawei launched a new smartphone that defies everything we've known so far about smartphone cameras. At first, we didn't believe in the hype ourselves until we got to use the smartphone for ourselves. The P30 Pro can take pictures in almost every environment and can even take detailed images of the moon. The P30 pro is not only about offering great cameras, but it also features great design, awesome performance and impressive battery life. The P30 Pro may just be the perfect smartphone every company has been trying to make in the past decade. So, let's find out why the Huawei P30 Pro is probably the only smartphone you want to look at this year: Design & Display When it comes to the design of the smartphone the first thing you will notice is the gradient colours. We have seen the Chinese company breathe new life to smartphones with their Honor branded smartphones and the Mate 20 Pro, and it seems like the company is looking to continue that tradition. We got to use both the Aurora Blue and Breathing Crystal variants and they both looked absolutely stunning. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla When you look beyond the colours, the Huawei P30 Pro is not particularly a small device. It has a 6.47-inch display and has curved edges similar to the Mate 20 Pro. The edges on the back of the smartphone also have a curved profile giving it a much ergonomic feel that its predecessor. Overall, the design is impressive, however, the P30 Pro is quite prone to scratches on both sides. We would recommend you use the supplied cover to protect the phone from any damages you may incur overtime. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla When it comes to the display, the 6.47-inch FHD+ AMOLED display has a smaller notch than the Mate 20 Pro as it does not have the same sensors for facial recognition. Face unlock does work on the P30 Pro but it isn't as reliable as the Mate 20 Pro or the iPhone XS. The display is also used as a loudspeaker instead of having a traditional grille for audio output. You may find it weird at first, however, we got used to it in a matter of days. The AMOLED display quality is excellent where the colours are vibrant and have balanced contrasts. The sharpness is also quite impressive if you like to watch movies and play games. Having said that, we did find the hue on the display on the cooler side which could be annoying for some users. Software © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The smartphone is powered by Huawei's Kirin 980 chipset that is particularly fast and works in tandem with Huawei's EMUI. Having said that, EMUI is a quite bloaty skin that is particularly not clean. Even though we've not been fond of EMUI in the past, the P30 Pro comes with some cool AI features such as an AI video editor (similar to Google Photos), scene detection features for the camera app. It even comes with digital well-being features such as a downtime feature for applications. When you reach your limit for a particular app, the screen turns grey preventing you from doing what you were meant to stop. The P30 Pro also comes with another nifty feature i.e. a Digital Car Key. Basically, you can use the P30 Pro to use as a key for select Audi cars. You can even start the engine with your smartphone. Alas, we did not get to test this feature, however, you can read up more literature about this on Audi and Huawei's website Camera © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The star attraction of the Huawei P30 Pro is its impressive camera setup. It's touted to have incredible digital photography capabilities and for good reason. The array on the back has a 40MP 27mm f/1.6 wide-angle main sensor, a 20MP ultra wide-angle 16mm f/2.2 and an 8MP 5x optical periscope zoom lens, plus a ToF lens. The zoom lens on the P30 Pro is one of the most impressive sensors we've seen as it can do image stabilisation even when zoomed in well over 10x. The P30 Pro uses OIS + EIS at the same time to achieve this feat. Of course, the quality does drop down a bit when you exceed the zooming parameters, however, it is still the best we've ever seen on a smartphone. We could even capture some very accurate and detailed shots of the moon with 50x zoom. You can see the clarity in the photo samples below. Huawei has partnered with Leica to make some of the most impressive we've ever seen. The new sensors are called SuperSpectrum sensors that use RYYB instead of the traditional RGB. Yellow has been used in place of green as it can take in both red and green lights. The sensor is capable of capturing more information and clearer images. Having said that, not everything is peachy here as when you take images of flora, there is considerable saturation which is entirely accurate when it comes to real colours. The Huawei P30 Pro is also incredible at taking low-light images, especially in the night. The light sensitivity ISO goes up to 400,000 which is completely unheard of on a smartphone. You can take some incredible night shots using the Night Mode, which works similar to what you find on Google Pixel 3. It basically takes multiple frames at different levels of exposure and then combines them into a single image. The ToF sensor basically comes in handy when you want to capture the depth or take portrait images from your smartphone. It can read objects and gets a better idea of the subject in front of the camera. The ToF sensor records how long it takes for the light to hit the object in front of the smartphone. This resulted in some awesome portrait images, however, did not work as advertised in dark environments. P30 Pro Camera Samples Performance The Huawei P30 Pro is powered by the Kirin 980 chipset which is also the Chinese company's flagship processor. In terms of RAM, the smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM and a Mali-G76 MP10 GPU for gaming. We encountered no issues when it came to the smartphone's performance and gaming was a breeze as there were no noticeable frame rate drops. We managed to play PUBG in high settings but we enjoyed playing Fortnite more due to the smooth graphics. The P30 Pro also comes with a proprietary file transfer system which basically is faster in reading/write speeds than anything we've seen so far. In terms of benchmark tests, our review unit was able to achieve a score a respectable 3292 in the single-core test while it scored 9657 in the multi-core test. Battery Life © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The P30 Pro has a 4,200 mAh battery and we managed to get 8-9 hours of screen-on time. The smartphone supports 40W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Much like the Mate 20 Pro, you can even turn on the reverse wireless charging feature to charge other devices such as the new AirPods or the Galaxy Buds. The battery life on the P30 Pro is probably one of the best we've seen on an Android smartphone. The P30 Pro easily lasted more than 17 hours on a single charge and our usage included heavy gaming, GPS navigation, texting, internet browsing and even reverse wireless charging at times. The Final Say As smartphones get increasingly saturated, there are only a few fields left where it can be improved upon. Companies keep trying to improve mobile photography or performance or battery life but often sacrifice at least one of these key features. Having said that, the P30 Pro offers all of these features and do them well. The Huawei P30 Pro does offer the best camera on a smartphone right now and is genuinely a jack of all trades. In some cases, it's even a master of one such as low-light photography. When it comes to competition, only the Pixel 3 comes into mind that can stand up to the P30 Pro when it comes it mobile photography. For Rs 71,9990; you get the latest tech with awesome performance and extraordinary cameras.
  19. There are strong guys, there are animals, and then you have the Russians. Well, everyone who follows strength sports like Powerlifting or Strongman competitions knows that when the Russians arrive, they mean business. Konstantin Konstantinovs was one such powerlifting legend and was one of the strongest men to have walked the face of the Earth. © Twitter His nickname was the 'Kalashnikov' which means a type of sub-machine gun made in Russia. He held the raw world deadlift record of 426 kilos and was a pure old-school guy. No fancy equipment, no fancy stuff, nothing. Only pure aggression and madness! He used to lift weights like they owed him money and were avoiding him and it looked like the weights were trembling in fear when he used to lift them. Here is another video of his record raw lift of 426 kilos. Whenever he used to lift, it used to be a show, and people used to come to just watch him lift. He was a pure legend in every sense. Along with being a competitive powerlifter, he worked as a personal bodyguard in Russia. There is a rumour floating around on the internet that his death was due to a street fight which led to him being stabbed and killed. © YouTube Though, as of now, it is just a rumour, there is a high chance is it true for two possible reasons; number one, being a bodyguard is a dangerous job and number two, it is Russia. In Konstantin, the world has lost a legend. He was a strong and intimidating man and someone people highly looked up to due to his personality. I would like to end my tribute with one of his quotes: "..if you feel that you can lift the record today, never postpone it for tomorrow. Tomorrow may just not come." RIP big man. 20. In case you missed the news, Disney announced its streaming service in the US last week called Disney+. It'll have content from Disney Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, National Geographic, to name a few. Yes, that includes all the Marvel superhero and Star Wars movies. As expected, Disney+ is not coming to India, however, Disney will route all the original content created for Disney+ along with its movie library to Indian audiences through Hotstar. That's right, Hotstar in India will host all the Disney+ content, and it's also planning to localize Disney+ movies and shows by dubbing, or by adding subtitles in Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. © Disney Disney's plan to route the Disney+ content instead of launching a separate streaming service does seem like the logical thing to do. Hotstar, a streaming service owned by Star India, is a part of Walt Disney Group after all. Also, Hotstar has over 300 million active users in India, so yes, Hotstar clearly has a wide reach. It's also worth pointing out that Hotstar already hosts content from other services like ESPN and Hulu. That said, India will now be the only market in the world where content from services such as Hulu, ESPN, and Disney+ will live under the same name. © Marvel Lastly, coming to the pricing, Star India is planning to continue with its current subscription plans. While, globally, Disney+ will be priced at $7, Hotstar plans to continue with its current subscription plans i.e. Rs. 299 per month and Rs. 999 per year.
  21. With just a few days left for the release of this year's biggest release, 'Avengers: Endgame', our excitement has reached its pinnacle. With each passing day our wait is only getting harder, as people continue to flood the internet with theories related to Thanos and the superheroes who are all set to 'avenge the fallen'. Marvel Studios While everyone is busy wondering what Thanos is up to in the MCU, we've got our hands on an exclusive footage of him dancing with none other than Spiderman. And not just any song, but Varun Dhawan's song 'First Class' from his upcoming movie 'Kalank'. Well, we're not cooking this up, someone actually imagined it and made a Tik Tok video out of it. Dharma Productions What's more, Thanos might be dancing on Varun Dhawan's 'First Class', but his killer moves are inspired from our beloved Psy and his MV 'Gangnam Style'. Best #firstclass ever #avengersendgame https://t.co/DevsqIzbp4 — Varun ZAFAR Dhawan (@Varun_dvn) April 13, 2019 Seriously, if this isn't the best crossover ever, we wonder what is. In fact, Varun was so impressed with this that he couldn't stop himself from sharing it on social media. Directed by Abhishek Varman, 'Kalank' also stars Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt and is expected to release on April 17.
  22. Robert Downey Jr is the coolest person in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, much like Tony Stark. Well, RDJ is Tony and Tony is RDJ now, so it's not surprising. He's been here since the beginning, he has honestly made MCU what it is today and with 'Avengers: Endgame' being such a final movie for all the OG characters, he's probably very emotional and proud about it. He knows how much his fans love him and his character and that's probably why he's out there being so pure on his Instagram. The press tour for the movie is going on and he's still hellbent on entertaining everyone. Posting a video of himself dancing almost every day of the press tour, he really is proving he's the coolest. 23. What were your first thoughts when you saw the silver screen come alive at the screening of 'Night At The Museum' back in 2006? That was something, wasn't it? The colossal museum and the myriad people and animals from the antiquities coming to life on-screen, and watching Ben Stiller trying to gather his semblance, almost made us wonder what would it be like to experience all that history with our very own eyes if given a chance. © 20th Century Fox Well, tell you what, we finally might have landed a chance to experience something similar, if not the same. Airbnb has teamed up with The Louvre in Paris and is giving a lucky winner the chance to win a 'Night with Mona Lisa'. Yes, you read that right. Here's What This Is All About © Wikipedia The Louvre Museum in Paris is the world's largest art museum and a historical monument in Paris. The museum is celebrating 30 years of the iconic glass pyramid aka the 'Louvre Pyramid' and is giving a lucky winner the chance to stay there! Read The Finer Details Here The stay is scheduled for Tuesday, 30th April, when the Louvre is usually closed. The winner gets to sleep under the pyramid in a “tent-like” bedroom, as well as enjoy a private tour of the museum. © Wikipedia Apart from all that, they will also be served boozy appetizers in a “living room” in front of the Mona Lisa painting, which will be followed by a privately-cooked dinner at the foot of the famous statue of the Venus de Milo. Later, the winner will also be taken to attend an acoustic music concert in the Napoleon III halls. Here's How You Can Try Your Luck © Instagram Sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity, doesn't it? Well, it sure is! So here is how you can give this a shot and try your luck. To enter the competition, all you have to do is answer “Why would you be the Mona Lisa's perfect guest?” Details of how to enter, and all the terms and conditions are on the Airbnb website or else you can simply head over to AirBnB's official Instagram page and click on the link given in the bio. 24. April 10 will probably go down in history as a huge day for science and for the entire humankind. Discussions on black holes have been going on for ages, but no one ever knew what it looked like. Until yesterday, when astronomers gave the world its first ever image of a black hole found in Galaxy M87 and let's just say we're shook. © Twitter Currently, everyone across the world is talking about the black hole and so is businessman Anand Mahindra, but in his own desi style. When the National Science Foundation shared the image of the black hole on Twitter, Anand Mahindra's 'sweet tooth' wrote, "One of the theories of the origin of our Universe is that it was born out of a black hole... So in the end, we are all inheritors of an intergalactic dunkin donuts franchise." One of the theories of the origin of our Universe is that it was born out of a black hole... So in the end, we are all inheritors of an intergalactic dunkin donuts franchise....ð https://t.co/cpohkKPyJd — anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) April 10, 2019 Well, Mahindra is not alone in thinking so. The Internet is flooded with hilarious memes and jokes comparing the black hole to literally anything in the world. However, filmmaker Ram Subramanian wasn't too happy with his interpretation and wrote, "The South Indian in me is upset that you did not consider using Giant Wada to be the genesis of our universe." The South Indian in me is upset that you did not consider using Giant Wada to be the genesis of our universe. — Ram Subramanian (@VORdotcom) April 10, 2019 To which Mahindra then hilariously replied, "A thousand apologies. Wada it is. And the cosmic soup is a giant Sambar bowl." Well, now that the black hole is being called 'Wada in Sambar' can we officially change 'The Milky Way' into 'The Sambar Way'? ðð½ðð½ðð½ A thousand apologies. Wada it is. And the cosmic soup is a giant Sambar bowl. https://t.co/AHZB52IYvZ — anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) April 10, 2019 According to some reports, the black hole (which appears to be like a tiny doughnut) actually measures three million times the size of the Earth and is in a Galaxy that is 53 million light-years from the Earth. It was captured by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), using a network of eight radio telescopes located across the world.
