The opening partnership of Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar was arguably one of the most explosive and feared partnerships in the ODI cricket history.

Their exploits with the willow were at full display during the 2003 World Cup where they single-handedly propelled India to the tournament's final. Such was their might at the top that in 93 innings as openers together, the duo scored 3919 runs at an average of 42.13 with opening stands of 18 fifties and 12 hundreds.

While Sehwag dominated the bowlers with his aggressive approach, Tendulkar's calm and composed attitude allowed him to anchor the innings for his side. It was a match made in heaven, at least for the Indian fans.

Though we won't see the two cricketing icons on the field anymore, but the former Indian cricketers enthralled their fans with a funny exchange on Twitter.

While spending time in Delhi together, Viru shared the details of this 'darshan' with his fans. And Tendulkar, too, didn't hold back.
