Pick any advertisement and you will see that every other product either talks about skin lightening, whitening or brightening. And the growing number of products and their commercials are proof that we are not getting over this obsession for fair skin anytime soon. 

If using multiple creams and undergoing treatment to get a fair skin wasn't enough, Thailand has now introduced something new and bizarre, which is spreading like wildfire and turning into one of the wackiest grooming trends of all time. Honestly, it also compels us to ask that how far Thai people can go in the name of beauty and grooming trends. 

Apparently, '***** whitening' is now a huge thing among Thai men, who are now flocking to a certain Lelux Hospital in Bangkok to undergo the laser treatment. People came to know about this bizarre trend after a Facebook post of a Thai clinic carrying out this procedure went viral.

According to BBC, a 30-year-old patient who had undergone the treatment said, “I wanted to feel more confident in my swimming briefs.” In fact, he further added that he had his first session two months ago and since then he has seen a definite change in the shade. 

In fact, it is the same hospital that introduced vagina whitening services a few months back. Popol Tansakul, marketing manager of Lelux Hospital said, “Patients started to ask about ***** whitening, and so we started the treatment a month later.” The cost of the laser procedure is $650 (41128 INR approx) for five sessions. 

And just in case you thought we are exaggerating about this trend going viral, the clinic currently gets early 20 to 30 patients a month who come for vagina and ***** whitening. Mr. Popol further added, “They are popular among gay men and transvestites who take good care of their private parts. They want to look good in all areas.”

However, for all those who are intrigued by this trend and are now planning to fly to Thailand to be a part of this ***** whitening trend, here's something you should know. On one hand where Thai men are going nuts over this bizarre trend, Thailand's health ministry has issued a warning over the procedure. The ministry warned that such treatment can have side effects like pain, inflammation or scars in the private parts and can even affect one's reproductive system or can cause problems while having ***. 

“***** laser whitening is not necessary, wastes money and may give more negative effects than positive ones,” Dr Thongchai Keeratihuttayakorn of the ministry said in the statement.

This trend has not only raised eyebrows around the world, it has also left people baffled over the fact that a treatment like this exists. And Twitter being a savage place, couldn't have let this ultimate golden trend pass by just like that.
