Every day we are reminded of the power of social media. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes not so much. 

Anything and anyone can go viral, and sometimes it turns out to be a blessing in disguise, and that's what happened to 12-year-old Syrian refugee, Muhammad Hussein. 

The young boy was captured staring longingly through the window of a local gym in Turkey, and soon the picture went viral just because it was that heart-breaking for people. The viral picture also showed that the 12-year old worked as a shoe shiner, and it turned out the picture was taken in the Adiyaman province, and was clicked by one of the gym's clients.

Since it went viral in Turkey, as soon as the gym owner spotted the emotional picture, he posted on Twitter asking where they can find the boy. And soon enough, Muhammad, who fled the war in Syria, was found and was offered a free lifetime membership by the gym. 

What an incredible gesture! See, humanity isn't dead.

The owner, Engin DoÄan, told local news, “A boy, looking through the gym window, wearing slippers in the middle of winter and carrying his bagpack… Our aim was to find him and offer him a lifetime membership here.”

And, then DoÄan gave everyone the best news ever – Muhammad is one of their members now. 

DoÄan owns the gym with Mustafa Küçükkaya and Dicle Oma.

Küçükkaya added, “It affected me very much because we came from nothing and we did not have such a gym in our time. The Turkish people are very sensitive about this issue, I am very touched, I think we are doing something very good.”

While talking to a local Turkish news agency, the young Syrian boy said, “He found me and helped me,” he said. “I had always dreamed of losing weight and now I believe I can do that by working out.”

What a happy ending! 

The story touched a lot of people online and everyone was just happy for the little kid who finally got what he wanted with the help of the internet.
