This Alternate Opening Scene Of 'IT' Would've Changed The Whole Course Of The Movie

'IT' is one of those movies that will have you hooked from the first five minutes. Whether it made you feel extremely bad for the kids or because you couldn't wait to watch what happens next, the movie definitely keeps you at the edge of your seat.

This 'IT' Scene Could Have Changed The Entire Movie© New Line Cinema

Time and again, we have seen deleted scenes from the movie surfacing online. While some of them could have added a little more twist to the film and scare the hell out of you even more, there wasn't exactly anything groundbreaking. None of them could have changed the entire movie.

But today we are here to talk about one such scene which had the ability to change the course of the film entirely.

Now you might recall how the movie starts. We see little Georgie Denbrough, sailing a paper boat which goes down the gutter of his rainy street.

We then see him running to catch his boat and just as he bends down to find his boat in the sewer, Pennywise appears on the screen.

Pennywise introduces himself and offers the boat back to Georgie in an extremely 'friendly' tone and we all know how this unfortunate incident ends.

But what if this never happened? What if Georgie actually grabbed his boat back from Pennywise's hand and went on about his usual business? How would Pennywise react? What would have happened thereafter?

We have so many questions after seeing this alternate opening scene. Have a look at it yourself:

While Pennywise's reaction is hilarious, we cannot imagine the movie with this scene. In fact, we even think this would have spoiled the entire storyline.

But nevertheless, at least in some alternate universe, little Georgie is safe and sound.
