It's a new day, new headlines about something Donald Trump has done to offend people, and it's not even surprising anymore, it's just expected.
He causes a new controversy every day and gets trolled on a daily basis, but that's also getting quite tiring now. I'm not sure if he just loves all the attention online and that's why he keeps making such outrageous statements all the time, or if just doesn't care at all because he thinks his actions don't have any repercussions.
Whatever may the case be, we get something new almost every day and at least we have some kind of entertainment, but this time he may have gone a little overboard.
As reported by Washington Post, the US president apparently imitates Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a fake Indian accent. It said, “Senior administration officials said that the president has been known to affect an Indian accent and imitate Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who in an Oval Office meeting last year told him, “Never has a country given so much away for so little in return” as the United States in Afghanistan.”

The post further said that PM Modi's statement was enough proof for Trump that “the rest of the world viewed the United States as being duped and taken advantage of in Afghanistan”. But, the officials themselves aren't sure about the authenticity of this alleged statement by the Prime Minister of India.
Imitating and disrespecting someone's accent is obviously a very bad move, but coming from Trump, is anyone actually surprised? Trump has made it very clear that he doesn't really have any respect for other countries by his actions and statements. Just this month, he caused an uproar by speaking before thinking, like he always does, and referred to Haiti and African nations as 's***hole countries'.

And now, it seems like he has come for India. I honestly think that Trump just assumes whatever he says is so funny, and the whole world just laughs with him at whatever he says. He spends so much time on Twitter, one would think he would actually read the criticism he gets, and maybe, just maybe, learn something. But no, that's just too much to hope for.
But, the worst part of this latest incident is that it actually seemed like Trump and Modi were quite good friends. Trump has previously described PM Modi as a “true friend” and he has even hosted PM Modi at the White House during his visit to the US last year. What happened to that?

Here's what people on Twitter are saying.
Kal Penn has a good question.
I wonder how his accent compares to Hank Azaria's.

I read this sentence three times to make sure I was getting it right. Came out of nowhere.
