Until last year, the whole (read virtual) world was going crazy over right-hand-batsman Rohit Sharma and singing praises for him, but now the same set of people are mocking and trolling him. Why? Isn't it unfair for Rohit? What exactly did he do to get such a response? Well, we thought so too, before we came across the reason why he was being brutally trolled and the hilarious comments that people were posting for him.

Last evening, the Indian cricket team faced a terrible defeat at Centurion at the hands of South Africa, in the second T20I of the three-match series. Which means Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma couldn't get a chance to dedicate the victory to their respective wives. However, Rohit Sharma still managed to grab the eyeballs of not only the ones present in the stadium, but also those who were watching him on their TV sets.  

Asked to bat first, India needed a solid start up front to boost their chances of posting a competitive total. And, the onus was once again on the marauding openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.

But, contrary to popular perception, India got off to a bad start after Junior Dala sent Rohit back into the hut without troubling the scorecard in only the second over of the match. Rohit Sharma came and went back at a speed that's faster than light. Or faster than a blink of an eye.

If this wasn't embarrassing enough, this golden duck knock has now registered a new record under Rohit's name. Sharma now holds the record for most number of ducks by an Indian in T20I.

Well, how can Twitter stay silent, after Rohit earned such a triumphant record in his name?
